Would fly no other airline on an 18 hour flight. Exceptional inflight service. Flight took off on time and landed early.
The service was outstanding and cabin crew were friendly and approachable. Beverage service was regular throughout the flight, but the quality of the food could have been better, even for Premium Economy.

Agents had no clue where to direct passengers and gave incorrect directions that necessitated more waiting. No updates to new flight time in the business class lounge. Once the flight was in the air, service was terrible. Attendants would ask for orders, then never bring them or bring the wrong thing."

You really can get several hours sleep. The cabin crew is outstanding, patient, and extremely responsive to requests. Two meals served were excellent. Entertainment choices were complete. After a number of flights in Economy on other airlines I'm spoiled by Singapore Airlines and also by Business Class. And their fares seemed much less than others for the JFK to FRA route. Had no idea this level of luxury existed on an airplane."

Cons: ""Customs" at JFK came to an entire halt. All passengers where stuck in the welcome hall for 1h, without any information, why held there and why nothing was moving forward. All CBP booths were closed, but 8 (eight!) employees, who normally direct arriving passengers to the kiosk-machines where hanging out in two groups sharing private stories and having laughs instead of at least informing passengers, what was going on. Lots of passengers where outraged...a couple in their mid 70s in front of us had to sit down on the floor, since they had circulation problems from standing in line so long. Sadly, JFK isn't what it used to be anymore."

Cons: "Heading from BWI to Newark to Boston on 9/29 on United. There were delays at Newark airport which lasted about an hour, and meant that we would be super tight getting in for our connecting flight. We had been told ahead of the departure of the delayed flight that there would be someone on the ground at Newark monitoring the delayed connecting flights, in case a flight needed to be held. Well, we actually landed about 15 minutes before our connecting flight was due to take off. However, we quickly found out that not only were the gates closed early, but the flight tracker was showing the flight had actually left early. There was clearly no communication between on the ground crews, and everyone working at the airport once we landed seemed confused about the situation. By the time we got within eyeshot of our gate, the gate agents were telling us that the Boston flight was already closed. This meant that no one was even monitoring the situation for us, and that they made no effort to hold the plane for the five of us who were supposed to be on that flight. Additionally, that was the last flight to Boston from Newark, so they literally didn't give one iota of care for our situation. I had a 10am wedding to attend that next day, and even after telling the agent this information she still asked me whether I wanted to get on a 10:38am flight to Boston, which made exactly zero sense. After all of this, she ended up getting me on a flight into manchester (that flight had been delayed for 3 hours by this time, and was delayed again after I was booked on it) which landed at 1:24am, a full two hours and some change after I would have landed in Boston, and a full hour away from Boston. Luckily, my boyfriend had his car and was able to pick me up. I finally got to Boston around 2:45am. My suggestion to the airport crews is to actually communicate when you have issues like this. It wasn't our fault, but we were greatly inconvenienced and they did not make an effort to prevent the situation at all. Adding to this, our pilot for that first flight told us that the reason for the first delay was that Newark was congested with too many flights into and out of the airport. THAT is entirely their fault for not being able to properly gauge their own capacity and should not have ended up inconveniencing passengers! I end all this with an additional inconvenience- when I arrived for my flight on Sunday at 4:40am for a 5:55am flight back to DC, I was told that my return flight had been CANCELED. Somehow, in rebooking me on the flight to Manchester. So I had to spend 30 minutes on the phone with United to get that fixed at 5 in the morning and nearly missed my return flight due to crew incompetence as well."

I wasn't asking for a refund, I was asking to reschedule due to medical reasons of which I have a letter from my Cardiologist as proof of my condition. I saw my Cardiologist Baxter D. Montgomery, M.D. phone: 713.599.1144 on June 9th and was treated for uncontrolled Blood Pressure. I was advised to reschedule my flight after a follow-up appointment on June 23rd. On June 10th I Called United to reschedule my June 11th flight and was referred to Lowestfare.com at 800.678.0998. I spoke to Albert and explained my situation and was told that I couldn't reschedule. I asked to speak to a manager and spoke to Jane who only confirmed that I couldn't reschedule and nothing could be done. Not allowing customers with verifiable medical excuses to reschedule their flight is a shameful business practice."

I have to give credit to the person who assisted in issuing me a new booking due to a snag with name. However, I was placed in a different line after being issued a boarding pass without further explanation. Every other passenger in the same queue were perplexed like me . Air India badly needs to up their ante. Customer service is poor overall. Seriously makes me wonder how aircraft safety and maintenance is performed."

Cons: "1. The food trollies/carts were very dirty - may not have been cleaned in a long time. 2. I asked the crew a number of times to get me immigration form at the time of landing in India, they did not get me. They distributed on one side of the isle. One of the crew members said that we do not need it. When I landed at Mumbai airport, the first thing they asked was immigration form. The staff should be trained properly. 3. The TVs are outdated. They should be replaced with latest world class models. 4. While coming back from New Delhi, we were not served any food for 8 hours continuously. There were no snacks, sandwiches, peanuts or chips. I asked a crew member for peanuts and he said that they do not have."
Cons: "staff and crew is not all friendly, Tv's don't work most of the time, seat comfortness is also not that good."
Cons: "It would have been nice to dim the lights so people could sleep, offer water more than once during a 15 hour flight (that's right - beverage service ONE TIME in 15 hours), not take 30 min to clear out garbage after meals, and notice when you step on the passengers foot... 3 times. Also, the bathroom ran out of toilet paper twice, the personal entertainment tv shuts off randomly throughout the flight, the food was salty (further dehydrating), and plane is dirty."
Pros: "The convenience and connection."
Cons: "Lack of maintenance of the interior and it's below par condition. Entertainment gets zero points since the system all along was crashing. Not all overhead reading lights were working. Food was horrible: The chicken meal was extremely spicy - I am of Indian origin and know spice: the salad was dry and the lettuce wiled; the bread was as cold as it could be! My worst experience on any international carrier to date. On my earlier flight from JKF to DEL on 2/25/17, the experience and frustration was the same - the same assessment."

Cons: "old interior, seats worn out, little cushion, and very uncomfortable. i was on a 14 hr flight NY, USA to Delhi, India and back. my back was in extreme pain."

Cons: "poor comfort broken seats and tv crew didnot care if we (atleast 11 people) missed conncetion from new york they left 40 passengers at boarding and went back to get them delaying other connecting flights very little leg space worse then local flights overhead light didnot work bathrooms had no soap"

Cons: "1. Entertainment- TV did not work and the crew said they can not do anything about it. 2. Boarding- it took me 2 hours to put in my luggage in spite of doing online check-in. They said the 'system' is slow. 3. Crew- They were very lazy. Everyone had to go get even water themselves. Food- Food was tasteless. I took non-veg option."

Cons: "Very uncomfortable back rest, I could feel the iron mesh on my back. There is no cushioning at all."
Cons: "My entertainment screen wasn't working"
Cons: "It was the worst nightmare to fly with airindia. Flight got delayed and then canceled first day. Major chaos and no planning anywhere. Rude staff. Next day, got to fly but broken plane and terrible smell. This is worst at its best! Was flying with two kids - got all the family members assigned different seats! Requests do not work, neither does logic. Avoid at all costs even if you have to walk, swim or run..."
Pros: "Over night flight from JFK to DEL."
Cons: "Despite the fact that my tickets are confirmed, air line staff during check in put me in standby. This created huge problem. Apparently, air line staff claimed that flight was overbooked. This is blatant rip off of customers."
