Unfortunately those seats on the actual aircraft ended up being in a 3 seat row and getting a window seat and middle seat. Having booked the flight 8+ months prior, we were disappointed that we had less comfortable seats than originally reserved."

No legroom and the tray table is not deep enough to support the food tray. Breakfast after an 8 hour flight consisted of a Kellogg's snack bar in a wrapper. I am used to Southwest Airlines which allows more than one peanut bag so I took two breakfast bars and the stewardess scolded me and said only one and made me return my extra. Not everyone in my roll even took a bar. They treat you like dirt in coach."

Unfortunately, these dumbos haven't figured out that no matter what the gyrations they do, I still want to be able to pick my seat beforehand. Nada. Not possible online. And forget calling aer lingus 800 number. called twice and was on hold for 30 min each time, they dont bother answering. 2. At airport, I was willing to pay extra for a good seat because of the issues above, so they said they would help me out. Ha - the manager who purportedly was helping me out gave me a seat up front next to a shrieking infant and behind a bassinet (he knew exactly what he was doing but didnt care). They really lie and think we're idiots. 3. Same thing for flight from dublin to prague. This time last row next to toliets Dont fly aer lingus if you dont book directly with them, same for british airways I looked at BA's website - they do let you book a seat in advance but you must pay something for every single seat. Crazy. There are no free seats"

So even though I had 2 empty seats to my left I could not utilize them, which would have made the flight so much better. When asked I was told that the "curve" of the plane would not allow it. This should have been mentioned when I booked and chose those seats."

Miserable to say the least because I missed the wedding that I was flying to, the only reason I flew there!"

The flight attendants may have been overwhelmed with the requests as there were many just like me who struggled so they came off very rude. The plane was also not updated at all - not personal entertainment and once again, no ac/air for people to control."

Cons: "The flight was awful! Boarding was unorganized. Once on the plane, space was TIGHT! I have flown with Iberia before and had leg room and TVs behind the chairs. This was not like this. Seats were uncomfortable for an 8 hour flight, smelly, and flimsy. I have never been more uncomfortable. The crew were nice but one was very rude to a passenger snapping at him and all ignored a very drunk man on my flight as much as possible. This man was very disruptive for most of the flight singing, shaking seats, touching other passengers, and walking about the flight. I did not feel safe at all! The staff would tell him to sit down, walk away, and he would be instantly back up. Staff would see this and ignore. I had no idea what to do. I felt unsupported and unsafe. The flight had constant turbalence to go along with it. To the point that they canceled dinner. I wanted to kiss the ground when I got off the flight. This was absolutely miserable. I could not be more disappointed."

The headrest sticks out a lot, further contributing to this problem. Anyone with half decent posture is going to have a bad time in these seats. I saw the club world seats while exiting the plane and wanted to cry,"

When you plugged headphones in there was an awful noise that prevented you from hearing anything from the movie/show. Considering this was a transatlantic flight, the plane should have been better. We were also delayed due to maintenance that needed to be done on the flight. Luckily London was my last stop so I was not late for anymore flights but a lot of people on the plane were. I was very disappointed and will be disappointed again if my return flight has the same issues."

Pros: "ORD -> MAD The flight was on time, it boarded on time, it took off only a few minutes late (you can blame that on incredibly crowded ORD). It landed, on time, to an empty terminal. The plane itself was new, very clean, and very well kept. The crew was friendly and spoke a wide variety of languages, including English, French, and of course Spanish. They had no issue with Latin American Spanish or European Spanish accents, which is a concern for some. Overall the flight got me to my destination on time, in one piece, and without breaking the bank."
Cons: "The seats, oh the dreaded seats. In economy class the seats are the most uncomfortable thing you can sit on for 8 hours. If they replaced them with plastic folding lawn chairs, you would have a better time. But that is what you get for flying coach."

I was finally able to select seats at the airport. Flight would have also been better if on demand entertainment was available at each seat in coach like newer planes."

Pros: "Wow! The padding in the seats was gone, the headrests didn't work (supposed to go up and down and side wings, to assist sleeping in place, did not work.) The upholstery was all frayed and there were no headsets to listen to the video/audio unless you brought your own. This on a 4+ hour flight!?! It's a new, spartan world out there. The most difficult part was to see one flight attendant working hard while another sat in her jump seat and read her Bible (commendable, but still....) Overall, I'd say it was a bare-bones flight. The cheese and crackers available for purchase for $8.49 was modest but good; it's hard to screw up cheese and crackers. I won't choose American again to make this particular leg of travel (again, I bought the return from an agency that said it was a British Airways flight, but ended up being operated by American Airlines.)"

Cons: "We arrived at the check in desk we were told that our booking has been cancelled. Obviously we were shocked as we were had not been notified that was the case. We were able to work with the airline crew but it was a disjointed journey that meant we arrived at our destination a day late. We did not have the seats we had made sure we booked (obviously) and I missed work the next day. We would like to know how to go about claiming compensation for the errors made in not contacting us about the changes."

Cons: "The flight was extremely delayed. The staff at the Chicago airport acted arrogantly when addressing passengers. A $12 voucher was issued however there were only 3 places open at that time and not only were they very far away from the gate, but the lines quickly grew to be longer than many passengers were willing to wait. Beyond this, when passengers did go to ask for an update they were quickly forced to take a voucher instead of any information and if they tried to refuse it on account of the extremely long lines, the phrase "go get something to eat and relax. We are giving you this voucher." was repeated until the passenger gave up and relented. I then was met by a team of flight attendants who were as annoyed as we were, and not only did they announce the fact that they were "as annoyed as we were" but that we should remember that and not take it out on them. The request to not "take it out on the crew" was made at least 4 times during the flight, including upon landing in a way that made it seem as though the passengers were children in need of reprimand. This treatment made an already uncomfortable delay much worse. Beyond this, I was extremely disappointed to find that my flight on British Airways was being flown by American Airlines without being advertised. I have not flown with AA since my last poor experience on an international flight with them, and I am sad to say that due to this experience I will not be choosing to fly British Airways unless I can be sure there will not be a flight with American Airlines."

Cons: "Frozen croissant for breakfast. Non-functioning entertainment centre. Seats recline too much. Passenger in front leant back as far as he could (without courtesy of request or apology), making my flight most uncomfortable."

Pros: "The econmy class seat was just fine for a cross atlantic flight from Chicago to Paris and I am almost 60! Good entertainment and service. Seats were comfortable. Language was not a barrier. Good value because it was non-stop and a no hassle plane changing circus! Thanks."

Pros: "The crew and captain were amazing dealing with us during a terrible, late night delay. They constantly kept us updated about what was happening and were constantly walking around to ensure all of our needs were met."

Cons: "Over 4 hours of delays including on plane then everyone was kicked off. We waited more and they cancelled the whole flight and everyone had to scramble to get on anything available. I lost 28 hours of my vacation. They put us in a scary hotel in Chicago. I received a $200 voucher for further flights that doesn't even cover the cost of my unrefundable expenses such as car, hotel and tickets that were lost on my vacation."

Cons: "My itinerary said I fly on Brussels Airlines on a specific flight number. I went to the international terminal to discover it is not there. I then asked multiple aiport staff members if they heard of Brussels Airlines and they said they did not. One person said it may be terminal 1, so I went there based on very little information and with hopes it would be there. I got to terminal 1 to discover there is no Brussels Airlines. I walked to Lufthansa because my return flight is through them, but it was not there either. At this point I have 45 min to make it through security and board, and no one can tell me where Brussels Airlines is. The good news is the flight was delayed, and I got an email from United Airlines with the flight status. This is the first time I was contacted by United and there was a completly different flight number than the itinerary. United should be more clear on the airline and terminal information for international flights!"

Pros: "The older planes of United Airlines could use some remodeling. The entertainment system with controls in the middle of the arm rest where the elbow rests is such a bad idea, didn't even bother with this crappy unintuitive system. It was annoying and flashy with bright advertisements or something popping up on a night time flight just sooooooo annoying, turning it off was not intuitive and had to ask the flight attendants how to turn it off during their very busy work of handing out packages with five miniature pretzels and drinks to the passengers, was happy to get a whole cab of juice to myself though."

Cons: "How they canceled one of my flights just as I landed at my layover for that flight when I look back at Boston they had a direct flight ready for my destination. Very poor management I was stuck in Chicago with no money or food for hours then after they start boarding for my new flight they tell me that I may not be able to get on even with ticket in hand. It was a joke and very stressful"

Pros: "The gate at the Chicago airport was well designed. There was a line for each boarding group, and you could line up early. This is particularly effective for some Asian flights, which can sometimes be chaotic with many different nationalities all lining up."

Cons: "Crew was rude, not just to me, but to other patrons. Flight was packed going and the man scanning boarding passes spoke to those of us asking simple questions as if we were stupid and defiant. Was he a prison guard in his previous job? On the way to Newark, I had an aisle seat. One of the stewardesses blazed by me with a cart ramming it into my shoulder without so much as a, "sorry." I'm not a big woman but maybe as I dozed off I leaned over a bit...There is no way she didn't feel her cart hit me. Rudeness, it seems is a part of the culture at United because the flight attendants coming back squeezed past the long line for the bathroom without saying, "excuse me." They did however, say, "I need to get by," and one of them brushed by the gentlemen sitting next to me and bumped his laptop and coffee. Overall it seems that the crew working these particular United flights have forgotten that we pay hard earned money to fly. Some of us are going on vacation, to see loved ones, and some are flying to deal with unpleasant circumstances. The staff may fly several times a day, but most passengers do not. There's a lot of prep and anxiety, that goes into taking a flight and a surly flight crew multiplies that anxiety. No one wants to fly with a crew that hates their job."

Cons: "That you changed our seats, and, that there was no room in any of the overhead bins. So, the flight attendant told me that I needed to fight my way through the people coming toward me back up the aisle and check every overhead bin all the way back up to see if there was room for my one suitcase. Others had brought more than one bag up there. Finally they checked my one carry on bag. The ride was also really bumpy, worst that we've ever experienced. But that was due to weather conditions."

Cons: "The flight from ORD to ABE was on a plane with expired maintenance logs or inspections? We were delayed 2 hours in arriving for what seemed like a pilots lax in paperwork. But what does a customer expect from an airline who knows they that customer by the balls?"

Pros: "We were tossed into the last row; I had no leg room and was constantly being bumped by people using the rest rooms. As a result it was a sleepless flight."

Cons: "I was informed today that one of my checked bags was picked up by another customer who eventually realized it was not her bag. She brought it back to the airport and refused to turn over the bag until the airport compensated her. (How this happened I have no idea because I stood right by the entrance of the baggage claim and never saw the bag come out). The customer refused to return the bag until the police became involved at which point she agreed to write a note confirmed she did not steal anything. The bag then needs to be sent to me in 2 days and I'll have to verify myself that indeed nothing was taken from the bag. I'm very concerned how this individual came to be in possession of my bag considering, again, I stood right at the entrance of the baggage claim conveyor belt from the time it started to when it ended. As a result, this experience really made me feel frustrated and violated."

Cons: "They knew we were on our way to the connection. They told us to run, we did. We were not aloud on the plane. Caused 10 hours of flight delays and cancelled flights because they could not wait 2 minutes.... Horrible experience."

Cons: "Entertainment system did not work at all in 2 of the 3 seats. Airline staff could do nothing. AI staff does not help as we we're heading to Bangalore & Baggage need to be claimed in Delhi with just 2 hours transfer. We had to rush & no help from AI staff . Poor service."

Cons: "Online check-in did not matter as we still had to wait in line to drop off the bags. A baggage drop off for those checked in online would help reduce check-in lines as the counter..Food can be better, but that is true for most airlines..I think Air-India works on India time schedule as they offer alcoholic drinks at noon only (9:30 PM in India), the flight leaves IAD at 11 AM, and not during dinner service."

Cons: "All our three seats did not have working entertainment on a 14 hour flight; the back of the seats had cardboard used with duct tape; the flight attendants call button did not work; the reading lights didn’t work; flight attendants were rude and were working just bacuse they have a job; the quality of meals were the worst; could not turn off the screen that was blaring a non working message on a over 14 hour flight. Typical government run third world airline."

Pros: "Non-stop flight for DC area to New Delhi. Flight was delayed leaving but still reached destination on time."
Cons: "Lack of service during non-peak times. Food was mediocre."

Cons: "CREW, FOOD, CUSTOMER SERVICE. My parents were traveling on 29th April. They did not provide blankets or cushion even the flight was almost 15 hours long.. when my dad asked the crew for blankets, they said we only got 25% and we do not have it. The food was horrible.. they even complained at the airport but no one cared.. over all very bad/worse experience they had.. so disappointed.."

Cons: "-No working entertainment system. 15 hours flight. A person could go crazy! Not just my seat, all seats around me."

Pros: "The direct flight from Washington Metro area"
Cons: "Absolutely old, ill-maintained plane, The tray table was slanted and food tray slipped all the time. I had to be careful that food didn't spill out. Uncomfortable seat with no leg room to speak of whatsoever. The seat didn't incline for sleep and drifted slowly within in a couple of minutes o the upright position. The travelers were horrible as well. Many passengers were just not behaving well. Left toilet papers all over the floor. Toilet room was poorly maintained. No napkin towels to wipe our hands! Flimsy napkin (if you can call that!) for dinner. Generally, the worst flight experience that my wife and I have had! And, we fly a lot around the world!"

Pros: "Overall Air India has improved a lot over the years. Flight took off ok time, reached destination before scheduled time. Need to improve on in flight announcements, get better on communication, service mannerisms, approach to customers, courteousness, etc. It was a good experience and would like Air India to get better and be great!"

Pros: "Service ...the tall clean shaven gentleman was very courteous and patient...even with people who behaved over entitled and over demanding..."
Cons: "-plane is aged -one curved long nose (diamond stud pierced) lady stewardess was oversmart and deliberately skipped two rows without offering coffee. Very inconsiderate and eventually her peers had to take care of that when they actually came to collect cups! -lady announcer could not announce landing properly twice! Could not read basic English at all!"

Cons: "Food was good and the service is mediocre. Flight crew did not bother to check with us for anything. They did not bother to answer any questions. Their interactions were borderline rude. Three of us Travelled together and in flight entertainment was broke for all three monitors. One of the food trays was broken and it was circus trying to eat all the stuff in our lap. Flight crew didn't bother to help and neither did they give us any extra time to finish our meals."

Cons: "the seats are are compact and not comfortable at all. I know i had the economy, that doesnt mean i should suffer the entire flight. the entertainment screen/s do not work!!! you'd be lucky if they do. they do not look very happy or satisfied serving food or drinks."

Suggestion: People traveling on international flights with no luggage to check in but just one carry on, should be given priority to obtain boarding pass in a special line. I had no check in luggage but I have to stand in line in DC for one hour to get just the boarding pass, but on my return flight from New Delhi staff gave me boarding pass quickly in a special line. This must be looked into why not the same in DC?. Prof. Dr. Jiwan S.Sidhu"
Cons: "Most of the TV screens were not working. Out of three in the row only one worked. Moreover the number of movies etc were very few, not much choice. Please provide more variety in this entertainment section."

Felt like flight attendants have zero respect towards their passengers. Responses were rude. No one attended service requests multiple times. Air India domestic crew far better than their international crew. Stupid crew and worst flight. My first and last air India flight."

It was worst , No comments for food .."
