The a330-900neo is an aircraft worth trying out. Comfort plus is premium select, despite the nice features, the backpack doesn’t fit well under the seat. The service to honolulu only gives snacks so make sure to eat a meal before flying the 5.5 hour flight.
As with the outbound flight, this return flight was not full - maybe 40-50%. As they started boarding they announced they located a few people the help with 'load a balance' of the aircraft. What they had done was to compress all passengers in the middle of the plane leaving no space between anyone. It is difficult to understand why everyone is required to wear Masks, then relocated to remove all space between passengers, when there was ample room to allow everyone to be seated with space between.

This was treated as an inconvenience. During and after boarding, flight attendants addressed passengers rudely when encouraging them to take their seats in a timely fashion. Later, when my seat mate politely asked a FA to repeat the food options, she asked, "Excuse me?" several times and seemed very irritated to have to repeat the choices for him. Also, near the end of the flight, a pillow was on the ground and a FA asked those seated in my row to pick it up. We responded that it wasn't ours and she said something to the effect of, "Oh yeah? So how did it get there?" (Maybe because someone else dropped it and we didn't notice?) The FAs seemed irritated to serve passengers at all. Each time they passed through for beverage or meal service, I felt like I was imposing on them. I have never witnessed anything quite like it. Makes me wonder why they were all so upset and and felt it appropriate to speak and act disrespectfully toward customers. (Delta, do you have any insights?) I hope they all got a good night's rest after that haul."

However, checking the monitors in the terminal showed the correct gate was B21, which is on the opposite end of the terminal. I don't know why Kayak had the wrong information on this. We barely made our connecting flight because our starting flight was over 30 minutes late, which was United's fault. This made rushing to the correct gate for our connecting flight all the more stressful. No time to stop at the bathrooms or pick up something to eat. Both United and Kayak let me down on getting back to Hartford. We arrived at the end of boarding with no room left for our bags in the overheads so we had to check them and pick them up at the carousel. A totally BAD flight experience."

The ground staff were superb in dealing with a full plane load of passengers many of whom had onward connections. This meant we had to stay overnight and fly first thing the next morning. Full marks to United for dealing with a potentially dangerous situation and then assisting everyone back in the terminal."

Cons: "My wife and I booked a round trip to California from Connecticut. We had a layover in Dulles with plenty of time to change gates. We arrived at our gate and established our place in the waiting area. We were then required to change gates; this was not horribly stressful as the gate was near by: However, on the return flight things changed. Keep in mind that my wife has arthritic hips and knees and I have arthritic knees. Arriving at Dulles, we went to our waiting area at Gate C-19 and ordered a breakfast at a nearby kiosk. Before our order was ready an announcement stated that our gate was changing to D-24. We waited for our order but had to leave the coffees behind because the lids did not fit correctly and we didn't want to spill them on ourselves while hurrying to the new gate (about a mile away). We finally got to that gate and boarded the plane. We wanted to wait to eat our food until we were airborne. We waited on the plane for about 45 minutes in the heat. During that time the "gate attendant" announced that they were waiting for that pilot who could not be found but was in the airport. At the same time my United App on my iPhone messaged me that there was a mechanical issue with the plane and we were waiting for another plane. At the 45 minute mark we were told the plane had a mechanical issue and we would have to disembark and go to Gate D-1 (about 1/2 mile away). My wife and I were already exhausted and needed to stop, but we did not know how long we had before boarding the new plane so we pushed onward. We then were told the plane would be a couple hours and that there was snack and water at no charge. My wife and I proceeded to dissect our breakfast sandwiches to eat what ever was still less than discussing. The new plane arrived and all else went well. We were delayed over 3 hours but made it to Connecticut; exhausted and sore. We had been awake for over 29 hours by the time we hit Hartford, CT. This experience will linger in our minds for a long time and travel by United my not be possible for us. We are very traumatized."
Pros: "Flight was on time. This shouldn't have to be a "positive" aspect of the trip but unfortunately was the only flight during my trip that was on time."
Cons: "Zero regard for customer service. I will never fly United Airlines again, I may never use Kayak again either. This was the worst travel experience of my entire life."

Cons: "I had ordered ginger rail and the lady brought me a Diet Coke I told her I don't like Diet Coke because I don't drink Coke and she said I thought that's what you want it now you have to hold onto it until they come back and pick up the trash and she never brought me the ginger rail to drink she walked away and I never drank nothing on the flight back to Little Rock that lady was so rude"
Cons: "Food, like all airlines, is so lacking even though airlines are making record profits while lessening service (crowded, fewer flights, baggage fees, etc)."
Cons: "That a bunch of travelers including myself missed our connecting flight in Chicago after united chamged our arrival gate but didn't have any crew to man the jet way. We sat for 20 mins right in front of our gate. From 1 pm to 10 on my flight to Asheville from Chicago was delayed many many times waiting for our airplane to arrive. Upsetting that we missed our connection due to United's poor planning, they didn't hold our connecting flight for us but we had to wait all night for other flights."
Pros: "Although there were no personal screens, I appreciate the fact that entertainment was available on the app."
Pros: "New plane. I like the new seats with the slot that can hold my iPad cover so I could watch a movie. The services was great."

Cons: "They didn't even provide nuts!! No snacks at all after the long trip. There was a one hr delay at departure from NEWARK. And the seats were VERY UNCOMFORTABLE!!"

Cons: "I booked the comfort economy seating that I normally do with Delta. With their additional cost you get a larger seating area, free in-flight movies, reserved compartment space for your carry on and a free drink. No such thing with United. They did try to have movies through their app, but it wouldn't play long enough to allow you to watch."

Cons: "Dulles International Airport on a beautiful June 3, 2016. Flight was from Dulles to Hartford and due to depart at 12:30 pm. 12:30 pm - Notified flight delayed an hour or so because they didn't have a flight attendant for the flight. 2:00 pm - Notified flight delayed because Flight Attendant was found but on way. 4:00 pm - Notified the Flight attendant would not be able to make it, but they were looking for another one. 6:00 pm - Notified a Flight Attendant was found and was on a plane that was inbound and would be landing any minute. Notified plane with Flight Attendant arrived at gate and they would be there any minute and we could begin boarding. 6:45 pm - Flight was CANCELLED!!!!! I could go on about how I was rebooked on an 11:00 pm flight on American Airlines out of Reagan, my checked bag was not returned to me and I was told it was on another plane United plane that would beat me to Hartford, they shuttled me to Reagan. I got to Hartford and my bag was not there......SURPRISE!! This was ridiculous and thank god I was traveling alone and had time. I felt bad for the families with small children who had to suffer through this stupidity."

Cons: "The seats were uncomfortable. We were not able to choose a snack, I had no knowledge what was inside the snack package, did not like. Unfortunately, our flight was delay a few times due to storm at Houston, we experience lots of turbulence while flying, no fault of the pilot. I think you should install TV's to help passengers relief some flying stress."

Cons: "Missed connecting flight because flight delayed takeoff from home due to SFO problems. Sat on tarmac for an hour or more, finally took off but missed connecting flight mid afternoon and no other acceptable flights until 11 pm getting into Fort Lauderdale at 730 am. (originally was supposed to be getting to Fort Lauderdale at 10 pm). Also, the aisle seats on the plane had a narrower underseat space that my little boxy carryon wouldn't fit into--and it usually fits under any underseat storage...Luckily the passenger in the middle was willing to swap places."

U put me @ the back of the plane 90% of the time which means I have to wait for the people that are moving their whole house,making me miss my schedule, I have to spend night @ airport for next schedule."
Cons: "They cancelled my flight into Hartford. I got stuck in Houston then they sent me to Boston. My car was at Bradley international on Boston so I had to wait a few hours when I landed at Logan before a rental car became available, which cost me an extra 200 dollars. I rented the car and drove to Hartford (2 hours) to drop the rental off and get my car. Needless to say I was exhausted for work on Tuesday after getting home at 3am and traveling all day. My original flight from Houston to Hartford was suppose to land at 8pm at Bradley airport. I had several people I was on the trip with who also flew into Hartford the same day with similar arrival times at bradley who were on different airlines. They either had small delays or no delays at all. Extremely inconvenient the trip home was. Although I am all for safety first I am not sure why other airlines still made the trip or simply delayed the flights. Doesn't make much sense since I usually fly United and always consider them the benchmark of air travel. Thanks. Torry Gajda"
Pros: "Not only do I get the best price. The fact that you told me what carousel to get my bag from was new to me. I alway check kyak first but now I love u guys. I know my travel site and its kayak"

Pros: "Please address the lax enforcement of one carry-on and one under-the-seat bag/passenger."
Cons: "Overhead compartments were full by the time I boarded so my bag was taken and tagged, as was several other passengers. I noticed upon arrival in Hartford that several passengers had 2 bags in the overhead compartment and their coats as well. If you have a policy of one carry-on and one under-the-seat/passenger, why isn't this enforced? It is not fair to the Group 4 and 5 passengers that there is no room in the overhead compartments and they are forced to relinquish their bags. Furthermore, this results in them having to go to the baggage claim area and wait for their carry-on. This added a half hour to my time and my ride had to circle the airport waiting for me to come out."
