Price of Alaska economy ticket no less than their next competitor (i.e., Hawaiian Air, etc.) on the same flight route offering meal service. May want to rethink pricing model?"

The flight amendments did nothing to try and help me find room for any of them even though there were coats backpacks and purses filling the overhead bins. So we had to ride with both our carryon jammed under our seats and no legroom for 5 plus hours. Miserable never again!"

Pros: "Our ticket handler at Alaska Airlines ( Sep 21- SMF Airport) was the most helpful and patient person we have ever encountered! The tickets we had purchased through Kayak were charged but not booked. Juan did everything in his power to get us on that flight. And when the kayak company failed to book in time Juan got us on the next available flight, being to sure to find us the best price and a direct flight, versus the one we had booked earlier. Over all Alaska Airlines will be the standard my future experiences will be based off of if I am unable to travel through them"

I took Virgin to Newark from Maui, and Alaska on return. I had high expectations from Virgin, but I liked Alaska better."

You should have At Least enough of the Daily meal, or whatever you call it, for all the passengers... especially at Breakfast.... everybody wants Breakfast. AND... maybe try not to sit single adults in the middle of 3 screaming toddlers. I hate kids. and that was REALLY ANNOYING. - and I was not allowed to move due to the Load Weight so... It pretty much all sucked. and then - & I know this is out of your hands - but this was all n top of bad turbulance... Worst Flight I hve ever been on, and I am a Travel agent, and practically grew up on Airplanes."
Pros: "I fly this route regularly and Alaska is my first choice - the service is good, and everyone gets a celebratory drink prior to landing in the Islands. I will often upgrade to 1st class, and that is so worth it. I arrive at my destination after 5 hours feeling relaxed and able to jump right into the new environment."

Cons: "noisy plane. seems like Delta does not maintain their planes very well. flight was delayed, which made it stressful to catch connecting flight at LGA. when we were all on the plane, the pilot states that he apologizes for the wait, since we were waiting a while for take off. he said there was something wrong with the fuel system that had to get fixed but it is ok now. wow, that wasn't the right thing to say. as soon as he said that, the passengers started talking among themselves saying,,,,,,,,,,,,well, i hope it is ok now, because if it is not, we may not get to our destination! he should have rephrased that and simply said that;;;;; sorry for the delay, we were simply going through some maintenance on the plane to make sure everything is all-right, which it is, and we look forward to getting you to your destination in a few minutes! keep it simple without getting into all the details! geeeeeeeeeeeesssssssssssccccccccccchhhhhhhhh!!!!! :("

You have no idea how THANKFUL I WAS AND AM FOR THEM. SO MUCH ALOHA FROM HAWAII, best flight crew EVER!!! PLEASE reward them"

I will not be using Delta in the future."

The original ticket I bought was under $400. I was NOT happy with this at all - Kayak screwed me over and I expect compensation."

The entertainment systems on the back of the seat worked sporadically and the PA system was too loud and every time the PA system was used while we had our headsets on, it was excruciating We had no warning in order to remove our headsets before it blasted into our ears. We were amazed that after paying a considerable sum for our tickets and being in the air for 6 hours, there was limited meal service and we were required to purchase a sandwich in order to eat. I fly Delta frequently and this was by far the worse flight I can remember."

She had about half of the First Class cabin offended as soon as meals started getting served - I didn't see ANYONE around me that got what they asked for, and then when people stated the issue, she didn't respond very well. I tried to take things in stride (first world problems?) but it is a bummer to pay extra for the first class treatment and then to not have that great experience, especially on back to back 5ish hour flights."

Flight attendants at times seem like strict teachers - so it was nice to smile and laugh - especially now with such fear of flying due to COVID-19"

At some point crew decided she should not fly to LA, but the ladies wouldn’t get off plane! 45 minutes later and 4 RCMP show up to escort them off plane. Then we didn’t have any ground crew to get us off loading ramp. Finally got away 90 minutes or more after scheduled departure. Circled LA a few times before getting to land.... long flight with long delays!"

Pros: "West Jet just runs a relaxed yet professional airline. They are just more laid back and accommodating. You can use any bathroom on the plane as well which is huge on those rare times you need to use it. They are funny and chatty and seem to enjoy working together which all translates to a less rushed and relaxed experience for us the passenger. I really can’t complain....I had an entire row to myself....the best you can hope for, when riding on a plain for hours that’s like winning the lottery!"

Cons: "We were heckled by gate crew about whether my dog’s carrier was too small for him. Many suggestions were made that we were subjecting him to animal cruelty, and that we were abusive to him. He’s 7lbs, so he can’t be much smaller a dog, and his carrier it turns out, doesn’t fit under WestJet seats, despite being within carry-on luggage dimension limits (their life jackets take up most of the legroom), and thus could not be any bigger. Did they want me to have a smaller dog, or a Euclidean space-defying carrier? I suppose they were suggesting that taking a dog aboard WestJet is abusive, because they certainly don’t provide adequate space for anything larger than a hamster, they hassle you about it, and they charge you $50 for the fun of it. One agent had the nerve to reach into his carrier without permission, unannounced, and invade his personal space, him being a rescue and very anxious."

Pros: "The answers were defaulted with a star selection and I could not change it. Our air Canada flight for Vancouver to Maui was just OK. It was an Air Canada Jazz flight. Very uncomfortable seats (and we were in business class). The flight was uneventful and the service was great. I would change my answers above to 1 star for comfort; zero stars for entertainment. The movies were old and it was very hard to hear the shows with the ear buds they provided."

Pros: "I flew through Vancouver from Boston on my way to Brisbane, Australia and back. I was nervous at first because of the 2 hour connection windows. This might be a testament to Vancouver Airport more than Air Canada, but the flight home after an initial 14 hour flight was pain free. Boarding was fast (the flight wasn't full) and we ended up pulling away from the terminal early. I slept most of the flight so I can't really comment on food. The entertainment was the same as when i left for Australia, which was ok. It had a decent variety to select from."

Regarding entertainment: We could not connect to the entertainment system, so we watched a DVD that we brought along with us."

Pros: "The ciabatta buns served with the regular meals, looked lovely, as did the regular meat meals. Unfortunately, I ordered the Hindu Vegetarian meal."
Cons: "Usually the Hindu Vegetarian meals are quite nice, but these ones were not. I have eaten a lot of Indian and Middle Eastern food, and I could not identify what this was supposed to be. The basmati rice had the consistency of oatmeal. The first meal was tasteless and the second meal had too much hot spice, but still no flavour. The bread they gave with the meal was tiny and tasteless compared to the lovely ciabatta rolls served with the regular meals."

Pros: "At $320usd per person per direction, you can't beat the price thanks to whatever magical gremlins Kayaks employs to fix prices for them...we flew Air Canada and we'e very pleased with their fleets new addition of 787 dream liners. Do yourself a favor and find a flight on this aircraft. From takeoff to landing, there was never a question about our safety and comfort, and the sleek, organic aesthetic of the dream liner somehow met a new standard for both ergonomy and tech/entertainment. I especially found the sub ports in my personal screen useful."

Their online app and check in is awful- they should hire new coders and UX designers to increase functionality."

The crew seemed to have trouble responding to things like...people using restrooms late during the descent, passengers making themselves a little too "at home" and thereby disturbing their neighbors, and repeated chimes due to an errant elbow on a call button...the little things. They are things you don't notice when a crew is highly attentive, as you find on Cathay Pacific, Lufthansa, or Air New Zealand. The crew were friendly, but not quite in charge."

You can also pause, fast forward, and rewind at any point, which is not always possible on other airlines. The food was also very tasty. We were served two full meals and a sandwich. The alcohol was free, which was lovely too. The staff were nice and there was plenty of leg room. Overall, it was a great flight."

They kept switching seats, spilling alcohol all over me and my stuff and the flight crew could not care less. We even had an older Asian flight attendant on flight 1749 that was just overwhelmed for the job. She would hand the person on the isle a handful of pretzels and say 'here, pass these out'. The other flight crew members made it worse by treating her poorly. You could tell they didn't like her and were agitated by her. Instead if being polite and educating, they were exasperated and impatient. Overall was super disappointed. I have flown United so many times back home to Maui and was always so please and excited to brag about how great United was. Not this time. Thanks for reading."

They refused to check my luggage because they said I had arrived too early. I wasn't too early for my originally scheduled flight! I now had to sit in the airport for 5 hours. I had to call home, arrange a sitter for my children whom I was suppose to see at 8:55 pm. They said there was nothing they could do about it."

Fight attendant that I asked was at the time collecting trash and snapped back saying that he had to finish what he was doing first. After about 10 min the lady attendant walked by so I simply mentioned that I was waiting for my food in case he had forgotten or was busy. She asked if I had mentioned it to the man attendant and I told her that I had and that I was simply waiting. She proceeded to go to him (not sure what she told him), but he later came by and angrily handed me my tray of food and annoyingly explained that he had to finish handing the trash In order to then handle my food. I told him that I completely understood, and he AGAIN snapped back saying "oh really? Because I heard you were complaining!" And walked away. The rest of the flight he proceeded to ignore me. I had been nothing but polite to him. The lady across the isle was looking his way and the man next to me made a comment to me that I had done nothing wrong and mentioned he he noticed how rude the attendant was to me. That even if I HAD complained, he was in no place to confront a customer about it. Regardless, I hadn't even complained one bit."
Pros: "It had been years since we last flew UNITED. Honestly, we were a bit apprehensive after learning of friends' negative experiences but we moved forward with our plan. The flight was smooth, and ahead of schedule and the crew was totally on top of their game. SPOT ON!"

Your current 'zone' approach results in lots of waiting for passengers lo sitting in the back....as the front passenger's mess around, trying to get themselves situated...CLUELESS that there are a hundred others WAITING in the aisle, as they tussle with their sweaters, purses, tech equipment, etc. (if you get my gist!). Just something to consider....."

Cons: "Purchased tickets 4 months before this flight for a departure time of 6:05pm. Tried to check in and check baggage at 9:30am but was turned away saying I could only check in 3 hrs prior to my flight. Came back at 3:00pm to check-in and they could not find my information. An hour later they find out that they cancelled the flight and moved my departure time to 8:25am for that day. They say they emailed 3 times in May but I never got it (I'm a bit crazy about my email staying clean) so they say it might have went in to my spam folder due to they types of emails they send to customers. They only kept repeating that they notified me so there is nothing they could do. I ended up going to Air Canada to get a flight to PHX the next day. No apology, no help, no hotel for the night...Terrible experience by United. They gave me a customer relations group contact information to follow up with for complaint but since they sent me the 3 emails in May about the change, they have no liability to fix the situation."

A 5 hour flight and they plane has no wifi (I get it) but also no charging ports??? Just gives the feeling of being held hostage for 5 hours and the only savior is your Visa. I'd hate to see how parents with kids handle it."
