Boarding was easy. clean plane, crew was very friendly. I was very concerned though, when we banked left and did a complete circle in the air. An explanation from the captain would have been terrific. I made sure I was the last one to leave the plane and asked him about it when I saw him at the exit. He told me what happened but I would have liked to know while it was happening. Besides that, the coke and pretzels were divine. :)
Drinks trolley too slow, considering passengers on most European flights are paying for their drinks. Quick drinks trolley with the food trolley coming along behind would be much better, and a lot more happy passengers, One and a half hours, approx., from take-off when the food and drinks trolley, from the front, reached Row 10. Not good Willie!
You should board by seat numbers on European flights. Aisles too narrow on 320's (and equivalent), with passengers putting quite large carry-on luggage in the overhead lockers and slowing everything down plus discomfort to passengers already seated.
Otherwise a very pleasant an enjoyable flight. when the doors closed.
Upon boarding the plane, the passengers on this "non-stop" flight were informed by crew members that because the plane was so small and old, a fuel stop in buffalo would be needed before reaching our destination in Philadelphia. Much conflicting information was again passed by the crew on how much time would be needed at this extra stop. We all were beyond angry and frustrated. Many passengers were then scared because some thought the plane was unsafe. Then the head of the crew began getting angry and pointedly asked a women who was afraid "do you want off this plane then?", in a very sarcastic tone. We paid for a non-stop flight. The crew said that this happens with this flight all the time and has been going on for 10 years. Why in the world is this plane stills being used on trans-Atlantic flights?! This is unacceptable on all levels. The captain said that 80% of the passengers had connecting flights. Schedules were ruined. All passengers should receive some sort of refund.
Seemed like the flight attendants were upset to be at work on New Year's Eve. They didn't want to help people place their stuff on the over head bins and just watched as people struggled to find space.
They also went down the ailse to give food out and were in a rush to do so. The meal options where meat balls and pasta and the meatball option was not good. Then later they served a dessert which was ice cream but didn't let you ask for the flavor. They just gave you whatever came out. They then handed out a flat bread pizza and where in a rush that they didn't give pizza to 3 people.
No air control when we got hot, the stewardess was too efficient and kept taking our drinks, you have to pay for food and teh in flight movie wasn't over by the time the flight was over so I didn't get ro see the whole movie.
I thought we had paid for two checked bags in advance but was told we did not and so had to pay for them at the airport. I was very focused on making sure I had two checked bags paid for online when purchasing the tickets. I don't know if it's some glitch in your website or that it was just confusingly worded/phrased, but I did think I had bought the higher level package that allowed for two checked bags.
It was part of our hop from the United States to Malaga.
I fly Southwest Airlines in the US frequently, but this plane felt FAR more packed in than those do. Without a free drink or snack, my 3 hours on this plane were miserable. We were flying at night, and they kept EVERY light in the cabin on for the duration. I don't know why they needed so much illumination to push a cart up and down the aisle for the few people willing to pay for beverages.
I liked the communication with the passengers. I also liked the movies available. The cabin had a decent amount of leg room for me, I'm an avg sized person I would say.
I didn't like the prices for food. A bit high for a baguette with just bread cheese and one slice of ham. It was very good but pricey.
Also, boarding is disorganized. They call everyone at once, not by rows, so it gets congested FAST.
