This delay prevented us from making our connection to our next flight and now we are staying in a mediocre hotel for the night and have to wake super early and miss a day of fun at our final desitination. In general I would just move on, but we heard the customer service agent reference that they over booked the two flights to Rome. I guess we were the u lucky customers x two flights because we didn’t get a standby seat in the next flight then the prior agent gave us positive hope that we would get on. Lesson- make sure you have at least 3 hours between connecting flights."

After a long day and a long and expensive uber ride I made it to sfo to see the flight has been delayed... never ever ever going to buy an international flight from Iberia, and very hesitant about kayak redirecting sales."

Cons: "When I missed my flight, the airline would not offer assistance because I booked through an online vendor (webjet through kayak) and when I called webjet they failed to help me rebook, made me buy a new flight, then when I called looking for the flight information, they managed to cancel the flight and then claimed I had requested this when I had done no such thing. On top of this they only offer next calendar day booking so even though they are fully responsible for botching up the second flight I booked. I have talked to 10 individuals from different agencies. Everyone passes blame and responsibility off on someone else. On top of everything else, noone but the American Airlines representatives showed any empathy or concern for my being stranded for the night. Based on this experience, I will do everything in my power to dissuade people from using Kayak, webjet, amadeus and British Airways."

Therefore your plane is not up to par. But I paid up to $700! Never again. Good luck United."

Due to first delay in SF, the time was so tight and the international terminal was so far away, we had to run like HELL and we almost suffered from heart attack. Her communication skills were not what I expected and her lectures were not necessary."

Mushrooms all mixed in with the seafood, so I had to pick them all out. Also 2 of the accompanying sides had mushrooms. Do they have a mushroom fetish like Cheesecake Factory? Need more consideration for people who may have varying food requirements that are unavailable to address during the booking process. I know you can't please everyone, but why overuse an ingredient that has a relatively low appeal to potential passengers? Will try again, just hope they can use similar customer service in their food preparation as they have otherwise."

I could smell urine coming from the bathroom from my seat while waiting for people to board(3 hrs of urine smell will ruin any flight experience). The internet did not work coming back from Central America so if you don't have the entertainment app already on your phone, you couldn't watch any tv since you can't even download the app. Other airlines normally have a monitor so their customers can watch tv and not stain their eyes looking at their phone. But with United, if you don't get beat up the airline, its considered a win."

The flight to San Francisco was delayed another 90 mins, causing me to miss my 15-hour flight to Singapore, although we arrived 10 minutes before the United Flight! Ten other passengers missed the flight! A travesty! Worse, with "no hotels available", I was rerouted to Chicago for a flight via Tokyo at 1300 the following day! In short, a 30-hour trip became 48 hours of hell and of course an 18-hour delaed arrival in Singapore. But there was more: my luggage was "lost" and thus arrived two days late!!!!! The only saving grace: friendly and helpful UA staff in San Francisco and especially in Chicago. Wow! I deserve some compensaton, wouldn't you all agree?"

I told him that I completely understood, and he AGAIN snapped back saying "oh really? Because I heard you were complaining!" And walked away. The rest of the flight he proceeded to ignore me. I had been nothing but polite to him. The lady across the isle was looking his way and the man next to me made a comment to me that I had done nothing wrong and mentioned he he noticed how rude the attendant was to me. That even if I HAD complained, he was in no place to confront a customer about it. Regardless, I hadn't even complained one bit."

Sent bag on another flight even though we could not fly out as scheduled. Therefore we were stuck overnight without our luggage, change of clothes, cell phone charger etc... Seems United has these issues more than any other airline. Will avoid flying united in the future"

Cons: "Next to my horrible experience with Frontier Airlines, this 4-hour United flight from LAX to O'hare was among the worst flights comfort-wise I've ever had. What is with the lightweight, streamlined child-sized seats on airplanes these days? Are you really that tight on money, United? Upon boarding, there was NO room for my single carry-on; a backpack with a macbook and camera gear in it. The flight attendant tried to help finding a place but had to resort to offering to check the bag. With over $4,000 of gear inside I politely declined the crew handling it... Looks like its going under the seat in front of me. Normally on any flight, I can fall fast asleep after take off, and wake up 20 minutes before landing. These seats were so god-awful that 15 minutes in my back was cramping, and 20 minutes later my bum was throbbing with discomfort. This went on for literally the entire flight, even with breaks to stand up in the cramped airplane. I had to share a park-bench style armrest with two people, and to make matters worse, the seats didn't recline. The airplane was hot, airflow poor, and overall comfort at an all-time low. These may seem like minuscule complaints, but for me; they're important. I was happy that I was finally flying with a major airline, for a decent price, thinking that I'd be comfortable all the way home. Not the case apparently for United Airlines. I quit flying frontier awhile back for business, and have no added United to the list. I think I'll stick with southwest and virgin from now on."

Good Food. Entertainment not enough choices
General upkeep of the flight could have been better. One of the toilet in economy class stopped working within 3 hours of the flight. Selection of movies in regional language is not adequate. The monitor was not functioning properly. Map feature not working.

I flew Singapore Airlines and Emirates....excellent passenger care. Air India operating an international route should choose better craft and services ....imperative"

On top of that, the staffs were rude and blamed us for missing flight. After a lengthy discussion, they booked for the next flight. For the next flight (1 am), we waited for the wheelchair after getting the ticket to get to the TSA clearance area before boarding the aircraft. After 2 hours wait, one of the airport staff asked to walk to the security area (several senior passengers had difficulty walking) because it was too close to the boarding time, and no one came with the wheelchair. Very disappointing experience with Air India!"

Need more training to handle issues similar to what we faced, learn how to escalate to their supervisors rather than standing and smiling, and saying that "we cannot do anything at this time." Cons: "No information on transfers. And when I missed the connecting Bangalore flight , I had to go through one person to the other to get a ticket to the next flight. Like a ping pong ball. When someone has missed a connecting flight it should not have to be this hard to help find the next flight. I was also barraged to pay for my next flight. But finally one person helped and I got into the m de flight. But I had to go through 5 people and about 2 hours to get this."
Pros: "Nothing to like .save your money fly with any other airline but not air India. They did not even serve water without asking .plane is old no entertainment options like movies music. Crew was rude and unprofessional. For some reason they change there uniform for street clothes then they switched back to uniform ."

Not able to interface with any of the thing as none is working fine. - Even the charging point is not working to keep myself entertained in one way or other for such a long journey. - The screen monitor power buttons not working, continuously flashing the light on my eye which is not allowing me to sleep peacefully. - Toilets are not clean and not up to the basic standards which at least found in domestic flights"

Given the fact that it s international flight for 12 hrs there was no toiletry or blanket provided. Seats could have seen better life then what they were in. There was no leg room if I keep water bottle in the front seat pocket."

Cons: "There are so many things that I have jotted down a list. 1. Plane is really old 2. Entertainment on most of the seats are broken. 3. Remotes don't work either. 4. Crew is extremely unprofessional. (Domestic Air India crew is more professional than international) 5. Crew is incompetent as well. They couldn't figure out how to organize over head space. I had to help them out. Eventually someone from the airport had to come and help as they wanted our flight to depart on time. 6. All the plane announcements from the hostess and the pilot was crass. 7. There was just enough food, but no extras or snacks. 8. One of the meals out of three was inedible because it was super spicy."

Many passéngers travelled with me are very disappointed Crew suggested to drink a glass of wine and sleep which is very mean Didn’t even apologize for inconvenience Getting scared of taking the return flight Boeing 777 Please fix the screens and provide good service I never write reviews for the first time feeling very unpleasant"

The delay between clicks and the action response on screen is too huge...these look like systems from last century...please upgrade !!!! 2. Crew members are not courteous. They ignore requests made by passengers. Looks like they just hate all passengers in their hearts."

Cons: "Food was mediocre. Service was just about ok. After meals only tea or coffee was served-no soft drinks or alcohol. Entertainment wise-movies were pretty aged with not many options. The software was a little corrupt with the flight path showing an error screen. Crew was ok, need improvement on communication style of the crew. Restrooms were ok until the first 6-7 hours of the flight."

Cons: "The flight was in a really poor condition, not clean, monitors were broken, the headphones did not work well. But the flight from Delhi was great and no complaints there at all"
