Pros: "This was a Delta codeshare on a Korean Airlines plane. The seats in business class were very comfortable and it was easy to stretch out and sleep."

Food service went by without a hitch, and the stewardesses knew English very well so we felt comfortable and welcomed. I also really liked being able to get terminal/travel information from the infotainment system. Being that I’ve never been to ICN or NRT before, having access to terminal maps and basic instructions on how to find connecting flights and baggage claim areas was probably one of the most helpful features of the flight!"

Cons: "I'm stuck in Korea on Christmas Day instead of being in the Philippines. The Korean Air staff didn't speak English very well and it took an hour to figure out what was happening. I had to pay for my own hotel on top of my resort that I'm paying for in the Philippines and the next flight isn't until 9 pm Christmas day. Worst airline I have ever had to deal with. On top of my five days off this year and two were wasted on traveling. Big waste of time and money. Will probably not use your website or the airline again."

Pros: "Bags were not checked through to Cebu because of the 10+ hr layover. Had to go out to arrival area to follow up on bag transfer. Korean Air wouldnt issue my boarding pass for my INC to CEB flight at LAX so I have to get in line again at the Korean Air check- in counter in INC then was told to go to Jin Air since it was operated by them. Jin Air wouldn't issue a boarding pass because my flight was at 8 AM the following day. I ended up sleeping at the predept area until the counter opened."

Cons: "The seat's recline button was broken which meant having to sit for 12+ hours upright. Upon hearing that the seat was broken, the airline crew offered my mother a check for 100 SGD (14% of the ticket value) to be used on Singapore airlines (for the discomfort caused for over 50% of the flight time). They changed her seat from Seoul to Singapore. When I wrote to them about it, they came back saying they had offered her a seat change from LA to Singapore, and she had declined, which is absolutely false. When I called that out, they said, maybe they did not offer aisle seats (note that the broken seat was not aisle). So it just shows that they don't want to accept that they messed up. They even told me that despite their best efforts in pre-flight checks, certain defects only surface when the flight is in progress. Will never ever travel on this airline again."

Pros: "To be honest I had a pretty bad flight because my allergies exploded during the entire flight - constant sneezing, runny nose, you name it. However, the attentiveness of the crew really made up for it. The cabin was decorated with tiny wreathes (so cute!), and the pillow/blanket was very comfortable/warm for an Economy seat. Although I did not use it as much, the entertainment seemed top-notch. And the crew-- they noticed that I was not feeling well, and offered me peppermint tea and snacks that did sooth things a bit (you can request for snack/beverage refills anytime!). I loved that they gave out black socks to the passengers too (I prefer taking my shoes off during the flight, so the socks added warmth & prevented my own socks from getting dirty). All in all, it was one of the best-serviced long flights I had, not to mention probably the most affordable price I paid for my annual trip to Korea (from LA)."

Pros: "The aircraft was clean, new, spacious and quiet. The bathrooms were regularly maintained. The food quality, selection and quantity was excellent for the economy class. Even the serving utensils were solid metal and had a very high quality feel to it. Having an endless supply of mid flight snacks was also appreciatd I always like the warm wet towels, which were offered at take off and landing. The entertainment choices were endless, but because it had USB and regular power, I was able to work on my laptop and listen to my podcasts on phone without worrying about running out of battery."
Cons: "The crew lacked its usual pep and cheer. For some reason they seemed very introverted and tired. First time on Singapore Airline that I noticed. The amenities kit was a bit on the cheap side. Also, only the supplied two prong headphones could be used with the entertainment system, I would have preferred an option to use my high end ones -- this was the main reason I chose to just work and listen to my own music/podcasts instead of watching a movie. We boarded and disembarked through the business sections and the aisles were too narrow. The announcements were hard to hear and the temperature was set too low for half of the flight (to kept fluctuating requiring constant adjustment of blanket/jacket). Having said that will keep flying them."

This new location had no air vents above it, while all the other seats did. People around us were using blankets, while I was fanning myself. We couldn't use our neck pillow...it made us hotter. I dread the return flight!"

Cons: "I can't understand why the flight attendants didn't come around collecting trash with a trash bag. Almost all the Asian airlines I've flown on, the flight attendants were always real nice and helpful, but That wasn't the case with Asiana airlines this time around. On our flight from LAX to Incheon, and from Incheon to Cebu, the flight attendants all seemed miserable and unhappy, not smiling at all. I've flown Asiana few times before and had always been happy, but this time, it was definitely different, all because of the seemingly unhappy flight attendants. On our 12 hour flight from LAX to Incheon, the bathrooms ran out of toilet paper and in 12 hours, they didn't once come around with trash bag collecting trash. Sure, they collected the plastic cups drinks were put in, but that was it. How do you not come around collecting trash AFTER A 12 HOUR FLIGHT? Also, just the little thought of maybe providing a hot towel after a 12 hour flight would have been nice. In the future, if given almost the same price point for a ticket, I would choose another airline over Asiana Air."

May 31 Wednesday at 12:20 AM indicated in the ticket is actually one day before May 31; i.e., the passenger should be 3 hours before the flight on May 30 Tuesday around midnight. I clarified with Webjet (India) representative who explained that I go to the airport on Wednesday. Asiana should have used military time; thus 12:20am should be 00:20 Hr. to avoid confusion. Asiana penalty for "no show" was USD511 and earliest available flight was 4 days after May 31. I took another airline to go to Manila. I missed my hotel and all other appointments because of the misleading Asiana flight information. It was a big mess for me!!!"

And staff was very helpful. China air is unprofessional, and disrespectful. I will never fly with them again, nor will I recommend them to any of my friends, family, or colleagues."

He spent a good deal chatting with his female coworker when he should've done his job better. We won't be flying China Airlines in the future and will pay more for better service."

Cons: "My luggage was unlocked but the combination was locked when it landed; therefore I couldn't open the luggage."

Pros: "Flight was delayed which made me lose my connecting flight to austin. At the counter I was told that they had rescheduled but that I was late. I was late because customs took long and the flight from Taipei was 30 minutes late. So it's not like I was wasting time. I did not appreciate that the blame was placed on me in the way the counter people communicated with me. I noticed that the counter woman, and the supervisor did not speak to me at all. Not even to say "let me find out" or "sorry for the inconvenience" but both did speak to other customers that were of Asian Descent. They communicated both in English and Chinese. The young woman that booked the flight for me (different one from counter woman) was decent and attentive. Sherry who was the third woman I dealt with when I needed to sort the baggage issue was very attentive even explaining to the supervisor why It was the second time I was back at their offices. She went out of her way to make sure I saw my bags delivered to the UA luggage. But again, I am very disappointed and can't help to notice that other passengers received basic cordial treatment when I was blatantly ignored."

On top of that, once we arrived to Tokyo they lost our luggage. We kept phoning the Tokyo desk, but then the airline went on strike and our calls were left unanswered. Japan Airlines, which handles all baggage for all carriers in and out of Narita couldn't do anything either. When they were finally operational I phoned again for two more days with no offer of compensation for additional clothing that we had to buy. Finally on the 7th day they indicated they found the luggage and it never left SF!"

I was observing and trying to get some information on what is happening or reason for our delayed flight but to no avail. The captain's explanation makes no sense. With a 3 hour delay, I knew and felt that It would not be a great ride because right from the very start it already started wrong. I was already stressed out from the very beginning even though i saw in the cabin crew's effort and super great service towards especially to our older passengers their dedication and passion to serve. I was really looking forward to this flight but I guess this was one of those days that all you could do is close your eyes and stretch your patience. One other bad experience was getting on Terminal 1. Great improvement but it could be still better. Can't connect to Wifi (its asking me my number on the US when I did not sign up for roaming and for sure will not be able to get the code that they will send on my number) Last year was better, just log on and boom! Impressively lightning wifi speed connection. No questions or log ins and you can safely assure and text your relatives waiting patiently outside that you are there waiting. I just wished we went to Terminal 2 instead. But I guessed it will also be the same because everything started on a bad start with that 3hour delay. They were lucky most of the passengers were excited to be home and sleeping!"

Sure we have power banks -- but why would we use it up on entertainment when we will definitely need it to communicate once we get to Manila? For a short flight, fine. However, for a long haul flight of 13 hours or so? Have mercy!!!!!"

We found out when we were checking in at the airport. Then, while stop on Guam, we got email saying the flight is 2 hours late! WTF"

I had read some not so good reviews so I was skeptical and canceled my first booking. After looking at other options, I discovered PAL's direct flight from Los Angeles to Manila was the best option so I took a chance. From the moment I check in at the ticket counter in Los Angeles until we landed in Manila, I received exceptional service, tasty food and a clean environment. I have flown several Asian air carriers and have had great experiences on them all. PAL delivered the same experience I have come to love when traveling to Asia. I will definitely fly them again."
