The other option was I needed to go to the airport to change it and pay supplement. Luckily it was only a 30min taxi ride from my hotel. The desk staff could see the issue and resolved the problem within 20mins - extremely helpful. A shame this could not be sorted in UK by phone and email"

Then Copa told me that because I would miss the original connecting flight in Panama (which was impossible to reach because they cancelled the first flight) they would cancel my return flights. They forced me to pay $400 extra on top of the full return fare for just a one way flight, while leaving me to pay for another one way fare at the last minute."

Staff was pleasant but for some reason desk agent told us that the flight was completely sold out and without telling us, put my wife and I in middle seats in different rows. We were at airport very early and didn't realize until boarding what she had done. In flight staff assisted on the flight and moved us to an exit row where we were able to sit together. Luckily I counted at least 6 open seats and in the end we were happy. I'm not sure why she did what she did. Ironically, she (gate agent) was incredibly nice. Maybe it was simply and honest mistake."
Cons: "On a direct flight from Cartagena to San Francisco we were delayed by an hour on the runway then stopped in Cancun for unspecified reasons. The Captain said we prepared to stop for one hour to refuel but one of the flight attendants said it was to change crew, which seemed likelier given the crew did change. We sat there for an hour with no communication from the crew. When we landed in San Francisco we sat for over an hour waiting for an open gate and also had little to no communication about how long we'd be waiting. Baggage claim took 45 minutes. Overall service was poor and communication was terrible. No accommodation for the significant delays and no drink service while we were waiting despite not being able to bring liquids of our own on the flight."

Pros: "Needless to say, price was a plus. Comparable prices on JetBlue and Avianca on the same CTG to FLL flights were US$300-$400 more at the time of booking. Arrived just in time at the airport for the cutoff provided in the online check-in paperwork and the line was full with all the other passengers for that flight there being processed. I thought surely it would be a long wait and soon the flight would be closed, but we actually moved very swiftly as they had 3 agents tending to the counter. They were all courteous and quick. At the gate, an announcement was made that the flight was overbooked and they offered a couple of volunteers a $500 credit towards Spirit flights as well as being re-booked for next days flight. Once on board, the three flight attendants were also courteous. WI was assigned seat 2F on their A320 v1. Best seat by far I've had assigned without paying for reserving one with Spirit. While it did not recline, I did not find the standard angle detrimental and I had TONS of legroom even when the upgraded row 1 seats ahead were reclined. The flight itself was smooth and quick. We left right on schedule to the T, and parked at our gate about 15 minutes ahead of schedule. Being one of the first out allowed me to zip through immigration without any waits and was out of the airport before our scheduled arrival time! For sure God was blessing me this day. But could it also be that Spirit's new CEO is really turning things around? Lets wait and see how the return flight goes. Stay tuned... AF."

He had explained the boarding process, but failed to start calling by zone. He at least used the proper equipment (microphone & overhead system). But this young lady was screaming... seriously? They could've avoided by: 1. Following protocol, and 2. Being consistent in using the designated communication equipment. Additional training is needed here for sure."

And now I have to take THREE flights just to get from Florida to Colorado today. Over the course of 13 hours. No help with a hotel and very little consideration. If you don't figure out how to take better care of your fliers in these situations. Then they won't ever fly with you again. Costing you more than it would have costed to help with a hotel. A person of that size should not be squeezed into a row of three seats."

Pros: "The boarding process was smooth and we took off/ landed on time."
Cons: "The crew was complaining as we were boarding about how tired they were to each other and not really helping guests. There was a crying baby for a long time on the red eye and I felt they could've offered the mother some help but they didn't do anything. Then the mother tried to stand up after we had landed but before the seat belt sign had gone off and the stewardess freaked out on her. Could've handled the situation much more professionally. The seats suck, the tray tables suck, not having a complementary beverage sucks, and paying for carry on bags sucks. But that's Spirit and everyone knows that is why they suck."
Cons: "Everything worst airline."
