Cons: "So first thing before takeoff one flight attendant told someone to turn there music down because it could be heard outside of the headphones, but then proceeded to talk extremely loud throughout the entire flight to the other attendants. It was a 6am flight and mostly everyone was trying to sleep, but she was so loud that I gave up after trying to. If you tell someone else to be quiet because of sleeping passengers, I recommend you follow your own advice."

Yet each time when we got to the boarding gate, we were asked if we'd like to check our bag for free to help with the overcrowded overhead aboard plane. 15-20 bags were checked for free. Why don't you just offer to let customers check one bag at no cost - on top of the one bag their allowed to carry on. If you're giving away free checked bags at the counter anyways, there can't be that big of a difference is there? And offering one free checked bag would be a great promo."

Cons: "After boarding, we waited on the plane for a period longer than the duration of the flight, for a JetBlue crew member who wanted a ride to Buffalo. He was at his hotel in Boston when the announcement was made. JetBlue offered only free water for the delay. Water which was free anyway. At least they didn't drag a passenger from their seat to accommodate the JetBlue employee. That's about the nicest thing I can say."

Also, I found the cabin to be very cold during the flight, but it was pretty short so I didn't complain."

One day you will have casualties from minimizing further and further the seating space until even normal- sized people collapse from lack of blood circulation. (On my outbound flight from Atlanta to D' dorf an oversized seat neighbor literally flowed partly into my seat, making matters worse.) A major concern: stewardesses support the general fashion of darkening the cabin in the interest of movie watchers and general quiet. What about my right to daylight, especially during a day flight from D' dorf to Atlanta? It's helpful against jetlag. 11 hours in a darkened pipe followed by arrival at night time are unhealthy. The film program is not intetesting enough to justify this decision."

It would have been very helpful if the gate staff at LAX had advised me to not bother to try to make my connection, or called the next gate to tell them we were running over there. RUNNING. Or at least done something to act like they cared. I am disappointed by the lack of initiative. I understand flights cannot wait, and I would have greatly appreciated being saved the trouble of running to a different terminal and instead taking that time to change my travel plans. They may see travelers struggling like this daily, but to each traveler, a hiccup in travel plans trip is stressful and urgent. I ask Delta staff to please consider that when they come to work. Thank you."

Cons: "Everything that could have gone wrong with my flights, went wrong. On my way from LA to Raleigh (through Atlanta), I was affected by the weather conditions at Atlanta. I understand that the weather is beyond Delta's scope of control, but customer service is not. I had to wait in line at LAX for 8 hours to even get information on what had happened, and what solutions were available. The customer service call center was collapsed, and at the airport counters at one point there was ONLY ONE DELTA REPRESENTATIVE serving a line of more than 100 upset customers. This IS Delta's fault, and it is unacceptable. This definitely was under Delta's control, but in order to save a few dollars in overtime for emergency staff Delta was willing to let its customers make terribly long lines, miss their flights, their connections and consequently their commitments. It is disappointing to observe how Delta believes that a few dollars saved on extra staff and emergency measures can offset the irreparable long term damage to its business due to upset customers. My way back from Raleigh to Los Angeles was also a disaster. Without any type of explanation and nothing more than an email announcing the change, the nonstop flight I bought was replaced by a 1-stop flight with connection in Atlanta. This was NOT THE PRODUCT I PURCHASED. There is a reason I paid a premium for a nonstop flight, and Delta did not hesitate in providing me with a less valuable product without any explanation or refund. Delta prioritizes its operational metrics - an obsession to fill and overbook its capacity - over its customers' experience, one again under the foolish belief that short term savings in any way offset the long term damage of disappointed and alienated customers. I will NEVER FLY DELTA AGAIN. I will do whatever I can to transmit my experience to everyone I know. At a time where major airline carriers are in the spotlight due to abusive practices (i.e. the United passenger case), I still find hope in knowing that alternatives such as Southwest still put their customers first, over the ethereal benefits that a few-dollar savings in operational expenses can provide."

Ground crew airport check in at the Delta counter and at the Boarding gate was helpful and efficient. However request for Special Assistance in Toronto was poorly handled. We did not accept the conditions offered to us as one wheel chair operator had to push 3 passengers and I had to wait for him to return to me after two people were brought to their gates. My Husband had to wheel me in to my gate."

Cons: "I brought the same Samsonite carry on luggage piece that I’ve used on multiple major airlines (Avianca, United, American, Copa, etc.) with no problems, and AeroMexico says it’s too big, the wheels didn’t fit into the sizing bin. Super frustrating if one of the most popular luggage manufacture makes a “carry-on” bag, airlines should realize people will be arriving with the expectations that they can use it as a carry on. Anyways I’m out $58 both ways ($116). I will not fly with AeroMexico again because of this simple fact."

The guy didn't tell that we had to pick our luggage in Mexico City and put it to the connecting flight."

Pros: "The flight was a Delta code share. It said non stop even though we had to change planes in Monterrey. It was unclear which terminal the flight departed from. A fellow passenger was given a boarding pass JFK to Guadalajara. In Monterrey they wouldn’t let him go through security. We went to the gate to find an agent to help. Of course there wasn’t one. I asked security to,page an agent. One arrived several minutes later, seemed to understand, and escorted him through security. On our return, the email I received to check in for the flight said we were flying JFK to Guadalajara. In fact we were flying the opposite. Clumsy and confusing. The food was dreadful (at least there was some?). The service onboard was courteous but not friendly. All four flights departed and arrived late. The jet bridge wouldn’t work on our arrival back at JFK and we were stuck on the plane another 30 minutes."

I had to purchase another plane ticket in order for me to make it to the United States. It was a bad situation & the employees were very rude. They blame me & the manager never show his face to help me out. He could have at least given me a discount given the award situation. But, the customer service or will to help me was just not there."

Plane was almost empty, I’m 6’4 and asked mid flight to move to exit row because my knees was pressing into the forward seat. 1 person out of 6 seats were in the exit row and the gentleman attendant denied my request. I didn’t flinch about my full day of delays and connection issues but on an empty flight it would have been nice to catch a break. I landed in Pittsburgh at 12:30 at night and got to my hotel at 1:30am with an 8 am presentation. AA delays really have created a discontent with my business trips. As I use AA as my primary airline I hope this doesn’t continue or I’ll switch to United for future business trips monthly."

Another thing is that there was no final check by the flight attendant. We landed with tray tables down, seats recline, and people were still on their laptops."

Pros: "Why would a jet this size wobble all the way across the Atlantic! The pretzels were even stale, and they served a "pizza" that was a stale mini loaf with sauce and a little mozzarella. People were starving when breakfast was served. The thermostat fluctuated from horribly hot to freeing - for 14 hrs. The crew slammed things down on table trays, grumped, were giving harsh orders to patrons rather than gently directing them. These ladies do not enjoy their job. I am done with Delta. We were also an hour late taking off due to a door on a cargo hold not closing. I was embarrassed that our Aussie friends experienced this as their first American flight."

I can normally sleep on any flight but this was like sitting in a tiny cage designed to prevent me from finding any remotely comfortable position or getting any rest at all. They should not be allowed to sell a seat like this."

So many seats on this plane that there's no legroom, but also it makes the plane so heavy that it can't take off safely unless conditions are ideal. THIS IS A REAL THING THAT REALLY HAPPENED. We left 2.5 hours late due to "weather" (not because there are too many goddamn seats on the plane.) Then, before landing, we were asked to stay in our seats so people who are late for connections can get off first. Seems reasonable. THEY DIDN'T HAVE A GATE FOR US WHEN WE LANDED! The captain said 20 minutes til we can get a gate, but he'll try to get it sooner. He apparently didn't succeed, because it was 45 minutes (!!) before we got to the gate! As a result, 3 hours 15 minutes late. Officially this is "due to weather." Sure."

No, they tell you that you get to call customer service when you return home."

I hated this flight and there were NO televisions, or usb ports to charge phones. Never again. They didn't even have enough room for carry on bags for everyone. Thank god I packed light and didn't need to use that option. Good to know United Airlines has crappy everything."

Myers 8 hours earlier was occupied so I was told very rudely to get in line behind 30 people to get new seat location. It took over an hour to board plane before take off. There was non English speaking customers who received no help boarding plane finding seats because crew was laughing joking with other passenger. They tried to put a non English speaking passenger in exit row. I paid $25 to check a bag to find passengers getting free bag checking at gate."
