Cons: "The flight attendants were uniformly rude and nasty to passengers from start to finish. As I boarded, I asked for a piece of art to be stored in the wardrobe compartment. This was treated as an inconvenience. During and after boarding, flight attendants addressed passengers rudely when encouraging them to take their seats in a timely fashion. Later, when my seat mate politely asked a FA to repeat the food options, she asked, "Excuse me?" several times and seemed very irritated to have to repeat the choices for him. Also, near the end of the flight, a pillow was on the ground and a FA asked those seated in my row to pick it up. We responded that it wasn't ours and she said something to the effect of, "Oh yeah? So how did it get there?" (Maybe because someone else dropped it and we didn't notice?) The FAs seemed irritated to serve passengers at all. Each time they passed through for beverage or meal service, I felt like I was imposing on them. I have never witnessed anything quite like it. Makes me wonder why they were all so upset and and felt it appropriate to speak and act disrespectfully toward customers. (Delta, do you have any insights?) I hope they all got a good night's rest after that haul."

It's nice that they serve a complimentary meal on the red eye flight but the quality of the food was bad. Entertainment options were also limited although they had some recent box office entries from last year. The leg room also wasn't great but that's expected in economy I guess."

In fact they were offloaded at JFK and had we not noticed a sign indicating that we had to reclaim our bags and walk them through security they would probably still be in New York. It was a long flight and everyone was edgy, but it didn't help that the crew was too. We had assigned seats next to one another but that somehow got changed and we had to get them back at check in."

It was an American airlines plane not British airways. I don't know if I will ever fly out of Gatwick or use British airways again."

With less than 30 minutes to departure, and still haven't gone through security, I gave up and made my checked bag a carry-on as well. And then tight seats on the plane, with no individual screens (the movie played on a tiny screen 2 rows up in the aisle.)"

We were forced to see if we could find a passenger flying alone to switch with. Additionally the 767 did not have individual entertainment screen. Another problem - which is probably related to Heathrow airport and outside of the crew's control - was that the staff at the airport rushed us tremendously during boarding, saying that the flight would close half an hour in advance. I had never seen boarding close that early and it was very frustrating, because the boarding then took a very long time, since they searched us for no reason, and our flight ended up taking off 30 minutes late! As passengers, we felt very rushed, it seems, for no reason."

Our own check in only took 15 seconds! Gates VERY far from the Check In counter."

No inflight film after many attempts to re-boot system. What has happened to American Airlines standards, they used to be so high?"
Cons: "We boarded, sat on the plane for a while, backed up from the gate, then sat for a while longer. 3 hours later, we had to go back to the gate because we reached the legal limit they can hold us on the plane on the tarmac. Another hour and a half or so later, we finally took off for JFK. We missed our first connecting flight and the second connecting flight I was able to rebook."
Pros: "THis was an ok flight. Everything was on time and the crew was hreat. On the other hand, the food was terrible and the check in process was not expedite at all. The American Airlines crew did not know how to handle my G4 visa while checking in and they neglected to mark my bag with the orange ribbon signaling platinum status in American. This is key to getting your luggae faster in baggage claim when you have a short connection (I had less than two hours). This omission caused my suitcase to arrive last, and I had to run to make it to my next flight."

Cons: "Comfort was okay, my seat was on the end of a row with three seats (aisle side) and immediately behind me was a row with only two seats. Without fail, the flight attendants bumped their carts into my chair EVERY time they passed. If I had been trying to sleep, this would be much more of a disturbance to me. Seeing as I was just watching movies and enjoying the food, it wasn't that much of an issue. However, I think it would be easy for the flight attendants to just take a second longer to try to navigate around the chair and not bump it every time. Little things like that go a long way, especially on a long flight."

I asked for my food and they apologized and brought back a pasta option and said they were sorry that they ran out of chicken. So I was made to wait for half an hour while everyone ate to NOT get what I wanted and be forgotten about?! Unacceptable. Took me another 30 mins to get my appetite back since I was so upset. Also, our flight left an hour later!!! No one said anything to us about why we were late. They accommodated those with connecting flights in the US but still. What is going on?"

Cons: "When I booked the flight, I hadn't realized that British Airlways had contracted the flight out to be operated by American Airlines. The flight was delayed in Paris and I ended up missing my connecting flight through JFK to DC. Though we were told on the plane that we would be given assistance upon landing and helped in an expedited manner through customs, instead I was briefly informed I had missed my connecting flight, handed an envelope, and told I needed to now travel to Laguardia Airport. No other information or assistance was provided. I was not given a reason why I needed to travel an hour in NYC traffic to switch airports nor was I given any help through customs. The shuttle I was told to take was unable to take me to the correct terminal, so I needed to get on a secondary shuttle. Again, after a 7 hour international flight, little assistance or aid was provided. I was barely able to make it through security in time to catch the new flight. Additionally, the actual flight from Paris to JFK lacked basic in-flight entertainment that almost any international flight would have. I will not be traveling on American Airlines again, and I am hopeful that Kayak and BA will be more clear in the future."

When i finally got on the plane, the seats were very uncomfortable and I felt like a sardine being crammed into a small tin. the crew was at best, mediocre and boring. The in flight snack was two crappy pieces of cookie? Or was that a cracker? I did not eat it. The entertainment was one shared screen that I did not have a headset for, nor was I offered a headset, free or for a fee. The screen in front of me was too close and the screen behind that was further away and barely able to see it. I choose not to watch it for these reasons. The landing was rough at the end, everyone jolted forward when we hit the ground."

Pros: "Original depart for London was 3:15, but when I called from Praque and my friend called from NY we were both told that depart from London is 2:15 and arrival is at 5 instead at 6. It was a mess!"

I was told the same when I called from Praque. I have to stress that we mentioned the right flight #. When I came to the gate (exhausted) we departed after 3pm as originally scheduled. It was a mess! Otherwise the service was good."

All of us had to wait for 2 and half hours for the crew to tell us that the part was in London. Thus, the flight had to be canceled. Then we waited to pick up our luggages from 12:30pm to nearly 4pm in order to get transported to a 40- minute drive away Hotel. I was starving because I didn't have breakfast as I tried to catch my flight and no food was provided during the waiting time. Plus, the entire day was wasted. Oh well, at least we were provided accommodation for the overnight, 2:40am breakfast, 4am airport shuttle, and 8am flight to get to our destination next day."

I said forget and took my money else where it was appreciative even if it meant paying more, customer service is a big issue for, never fly spirit again anything but that. Delta was great"

Cons: "The employee was rude. We waited in line (not moving) for 1 hour and change. They cancelled every single one of their flights to Florida. Their next available flight was for Wednesday, August 7th. We asked if their were any other flights going to FLL and she said she couldn't help us with that. She said we would have to go upstairs and check for ourselves. We asked for the manager and she's said "she's on her way". A man came and told us that whatever was under Spirit Airlines was the only thing we can refund to you. My brother asked the lady "I thought you said the manager was a she". The lady goes "we have two". My brother goes "well, can we speak to her?" and the lady, in a very rude tone goes, "well do you want to hear the same thing twice?" The only reason we argued back was because that lady was extremely disgusting to us. The lady claimed we got an email sent out to us saying our flight was cancelled and it was not. We showed her our phones too. She said "how do I know that you're not lying about the email?" Anyways, we got refunded on our tickets but the reason we were going was for a game the next day (Aug 5). Those tickets are nonrefunable and Spirit Airlines is responsible for that because this was caused by them. We also rented a car for the days we were going to be there, which I also think they're responsible for. The game tickets were $65 each and it was 4 of us. The car rental was $97. All that money went down the drain because Spirit Airlines cancelled all of their flights. I emailed the car rental place and we couldn't get refunded and the guy said that it's the airlines fault for cancelling the flight and they should pay for everything. I will definitely not recommend this airline to anyone. Moral of the story, SPIRIT AIRLINES IS RESPONSIBLE FOR EVERYTHING! Soon, this Airline will be out of business. They wait a few minutes, printed the "official close gate" paperwork, told us thy would see what they could do and would be right back. That was now the 15 min before boarding time period. The plane sat there for that 15 and Atleast another 10+ minutes. We watched luggage being loaded and other Things. Another woman came out anc refused to help. She disappeared too. Only once the plane pushed off did the other two come back 30+ min later thinking others would be gone. They hit in the Jetway. Make matters worse went to customer service for help and waited 1.5 hours between both lines to see a supervisor. One rep even confirmed my question of "what do they just hide back there and let you guys be the bad guys" with a pretty much yes that's it. One finally comes and tells us no accommodations. I guarantee they filled out seats and did not know how to undo. I would pay double to never fly with them again. Ruined what was a great week by having two preteen kids subjected to sleeping in a run down airport."

I was in a large group of people that was stopped at TSA and made to re-screen by going through the whole process over again with addition of a sniff by the drug dog. This caused me to RUN to the gate and arrive just as the door shut. Even though I could see the plane sitting there, they would make no accommodations. I missed by flight and had to be booked on another flight leaving 6 hours later."

Cons: "Our flight was delayed and we originally were all seated with out seat belts waiting to depart to only be told our flight was now delayed and that we all had to exit the plane and wait 2 hours. A flight delay is understandable but boarding and then having to get off was a little frustrating. The flight for the most part was comfortable but wished they at least had a front seat pocket to help hold items during the flight but instead only had elastic bands. Also the tray table is half the size of a normal one so holding a larger lap top is not that comfortable."

Cons: "The fact that you have to pay for luggage and limit each bag to 40 lbs. Its very easy to overlook the weight limits for luggage since it shows pricing for overweight bags and because of it I found myself unpacking and re-packing my bags at the check in counter which is very frustrating. Also this airline charges you for little things here and there which defeats the purpose of saving money. I ended up paying more for my seats thinking I they were going to be more comfortable but they were all the same except for executive class (or so I think its executive). So in conclusion I ended up paying almost the same that I would have paid should I have chosen another airline with bags included. Also the seats are DO NOT recline which sucks big time."

Cons: "First of all I have never been charged for my carry-on by any other airline, so that was my first big complaint. Not to mention that a charge of $59 for a carry-on is outrageous, especially when they for some reason charge less to check the bag! Second they are the worst on updating you on any changes to your flight whether it was the time or gate location. My flight on the way to Florida was delayed for four hours, and on my return flight they did not help me check in which caused me to miss my initial return flight and almost had the nerve to charge me a fee to book the flight for the next day. The managerial staff is rude and unhelpful, and if it wasn't for the help one good hearted staff member at the counter I'd still be stuck in Florida. Oh and again they changed my gate on the way to FL and on the way back MULTIPLE times! As a matter of fact, I was not told about my gate change for my return flight until the aircraft was about half way boarded! As far as the aircraft itself, the seats are uncomfortable and they even charge you for water. This was the worst flying experience of my life and will never fly this airline again! I hope Spirit goes bankrupt!"

I could not get my boarding pass, even though I would have had time to get through security and run to my gate!!! I had to buy a separate flight on United so I could make it to this wedding. Any refund would be appreciated! Spirit Airlines is horrible!!!"
