Considering I had just been through a death in my family and was mentally miserable ( she had no idea) she must have picked up on it. BEST FLIGHT IN YEARS. Thank you. Customer svc is everything."

Cons: "Flight from PHL to PORTLAND delayed 3.5 hrs due to weather... ok that’s a safety thing. But then the pilots couldn’t fly us to Portland due to shift restrictions. Told us they had to stop in BOISE for fresh pilots and no one was leaving the plane. Got there and they made everyone get off the plane and take their belongings with them. Meanwhile since we already missed our connecting flight from Portland to Bellingham they rescheduled us from Portland to SEATTLE to Bellingham later that night but while stopped in Boise we managed to get on a flight directly to Seattle and our son picked us up there instead of Bellingham. We were told our checked bags would go to their tagged destination so we drove to Bellingham to collect them. Not so. Luggage is missing."

Cons: "I didn't make it because the flight to LAX was late and despite being told by an Avianca employee there was a later flight from LAX to PDX (at 11:45 on AlaskaAir) which I would be put on, once I arrived I was told I was on a 6 AM on Delta with no arrangement to get me a hotel or anything. I bought a separate ticket on that 11:45 flight on Alaska Air to PDX instead. Extremely unhappy with this service and will never again use it. I will also tell everyone in my social circles, in person and online, to stop using it."

The second flight Alaska Airlines from Washington DC to Portland was delayed, but I never flew. I got a direct flight from American Airlines from Charlotte to Portland instead."
Cons: "Got to the gate about 20 min before flight. The gate attendant got a bad customer service attitude when I questioned why we couldn't board flight. We were a little late because our flight from Taipei was an hour late. She did schedule us at 6 am on another flight which made an interesting (painful) night with 3 boys under the age of 6. Nowhere did it state that boarding was closed 30 minutes prior to the flight. Bad experience - late night ...small kids... no food or drink available...surley gate person..no notice of the boarding policy...just a very bad experience."

The flight attendants should have announced for people to stay seated upon landing to let those few get through that had only a few minutes to make the next flight, but they did not so it took 15-20 minutes to disembark which was very frustrating."

I watched this from my seat in disappointment. I needed to ask for a seat extender as I'm currently recovering from surgery and needed a little room around the bandages and I had to ask several times even though there was not a lot of pre-flight activity. They were standing around in the aisle. I make note of this type of behavior because I fly frequently for work on a variety of airlines and this is my first experience with Alaska Air."

Pros: "Plane was a brand new 737 that was delivered in 2016. It had very high-tech LED-based mood lighting, which gave off a soft glow yet still allowed people to sleep if they chose. Flight boarded efficiently, departed DFW on time, and arrived in Portland on schedule. Service from the crew was pleasant and prompt. I like the new style of power outlets in every seat that Alaska uses. You can plug in a laptop or other device using a standard plug, and they also have a USB outlet for charging phones or tablets. Would fly again."

Everyone was left without clear directions. Big let down to start my experience with Alaskan airlines."

Flying in "steerage" is not comfortable as humans get larger and airplane seats get squeezed smaller. Please unsqueeze! Cabin crew members were excellent. Other than that, Europe was great!"

But on this flight, the attendant didn't speak with me about it at all. She tried to give me the regular meal. When I explained I needed an allergy free meal (mind you this was first class), I was told I could not get it and got no apology or other accommodation. Her attitude was take it or leave it. I found this interesting since on two of the other flights an announcement was made about another passenger with an allergy to peanuts so no one could have them on the flights and the attendants were very concerned."

In order to make sure I had enough time to make the connecting flight, I didn't check in my luggage which lead to me having to minimize liquids and pastes in my luggage (no vanilla extract or tequila). Also while making the transfer I felt rushed and stressed out. I might search for tickets using Kayak but I would not buy tickets directly from Kayak if my route involves a transfer at an airport that I am not familiar with."

They didn’t even bother to inform us of the change we only found out because we booked through Kayak and they let us know. Apparently Copa expects you to frequently check your booking just in case they’ve changed anything and don’t feel the need to inform their customers of any changes they make. Then we were told we could get a Copa voucher to use for other Copa flights for having to cancel our booking and rebook with another airline as a 48 hour change to our flight made flying with Copa not doable for us. But the website kept telling us we had a voucher that was sent to our email but despite repeated attempts it never came through. And spent hours trying to get through to someone on the phone to sort it out with no success ever getting through. My advice. NEVER EVER FLY WITH COPA."

We did not see a regular "high placed" sign for Copa which caused us to make two circuits until we saw the street side sigm which is in a nondescript area and easy to miss. My entertainment touch screen was not responsive and sticky. It froze twice. However after bringing it to the attention of the crew, they did make the effort of resetting it. In this regard I highly commend the very tall FA who was a credit to his profession. It still had problems but did work somewhat. I will add that in all my prior experiences in which this problem occurs the FA's are too busy, or forget to reset the entertainment system, so I happy that he did. The interior did not seemed to be very clean there were food stains on the pull out tray and no in flight magazine in my seat pocket. the cabin crew was nice, youngish but did not have enough personality to tell off passengers doing things that they shouldn't out of common courtesy like the passenger seated next to me playing Chinese language videos out loud on his i phone. The same group spent a lot of time burping and then spending an inordinate length of time picking their teeth with wooden toothpicks which did not make for a pleasant scene. I almost lost my appetite seeing which what vigor they went at it, what were they expecting to find? They would then spit the residue in the air making me a bit nauseous. The food was dire especially the two melted cheese/beef/chicken sandwiches served near the last third of the trip. The main lunch ravioli meal served earlier was not bad. The bottom line is that the flight was uneventful with nothing to note, but there is definite room for improvement."

They put us up in a hotel at midnight just to leave to catch our rebooked flight at 7:00AM. We didn’t have a chance to eat because we were stuck in line not knowing anything. When we asked questions they pretended like they didn’t hear us. By the time we got to the hotel we barely had enough time to sleep so we didn’t bother with the free dinner. They absolutely ruined our vacation. I’ve been using Kayak for years. Never again. This is beyond bad customer service; this is a total lack of empathy."

Pros: "I liked how accommodating the staff was with seating for my family, as I was traveling with two young children and we weren't seated together. There was more leg room than most other domestic air travel companies I have been on. There was no upgrade charge for every little thing, such as blankets, pillows, etc. We were fed on each flight, and alcoholic beverages were at no additional charge. The exit tax to leave Costa Rica was included in our ticket, which I was not aware of until I was leaving the country. (nice surprise). Over all, most other airline companies in the USA have made changes that improve their bottom line, but they have completely ruined any favorable aspect of traveling with their airline (American Airlines, Frontier, Southwest, Delta, etc). Copa has done a great job of providing great service and cost for travelers. Please do not change your business strategy by removing some of the above mentioned benefits I enjoyed in order to improve your profit margin. It is refreshing to know there are still air carriers out there that retain the service that is hoped for by most travelers. Also, Roxana and her entire flight crew were outstanding. Thank you , I will fly with you anytime I have the chance."

Copa even put me up for the night at a Sheraton in Panama City when I missed my connection, provided free transportation to and from the airport, and gave me a free dinner voucher. All in all, a well handled experience in the face of disaster."

Why your airlines couldn't have told me this before I got all the way to Costa Rica and passed two check points I don't know. So you guys said you would send us to Puerto Rico but I would have to by my own plane ticket home... Very disappointed in your airline. And to top it off my boyfriend and I had very expensive osprey packs we were traveling with .. We used a copa plastic bag to wrap them up in Vegas so the strings would not get caught .. When we received our packs in Puerto Rico YOUR employees had taken the bags off and cut my boyfriends 300 dollar bag! I will never fly again with your airline."
Flight was delayed by one hour, then another 1/2 hour then cancelled and changed till the next day. We were not allowed to get our luggage & put up in a dirty hotel. I had cockroaches in the bathroom. When I finally arrived home…i noticed the airline had damaged the zipper on my suitcase. An awful awful trip thanks to American Airlines.

So Air Canada lied about our flight leaving and that there was not another one till the next day. Overall I will never go to this airport nor will I use Air Canada ever again."

I was asked to take my headphones off during the safety speech, which I did. I put them back on after the speech and was yelled at. The lady in front of me had a dog. The lady across from me was talking on her cell phone. And the kids behind me were playing games on their iPad with no headphones and the sound on. No one said anything to them. Screw this airline."
Cons: "This Air Canada flight was operated by Lufthansa and was cancelled due to the strike. So, this means that I am still in Germany which is not the worst place in the world to be stuck, especially because my parents live here. So a few day longer are not a problem for me, but if it takes a week, it is not good because I am supposed to be at work and I am using up vacation I had planned to spent with my family."

Understandable when the plane was actually experiencing turbulence but most of the time it was a smooth flight. Thankfully there was an empty seat just outside the toilet so that I could sit but anyone who arrived after me was told to return to their seat. When nature calls, sometimes it's impossible to walk very far."

I got to my gate 40 min. before takeoff (it was 15 min. delayed). Upon boarding I was told my seat was given away. They assumed I would miss my flight. I had to wait another 4 hr. to board a flight to Vancouver BC leaving 11pm. I had to go to a hotel at 2 am and take a 8:50 am flight to PDX. Before boarding I was again stopped because my ticket didn't have the proper security stamp. The agent there was extremely rude and condescending. This was a terrible experience!"

Cons: "On the flight from Portland to Vancouver, someone was allowed to board the plane and then leave, with no explanation, no accompaniment, and no way of contacting him. Consequently, our flight was delayed 3 hours while police and bomb squads checked the plane and all the baggage. Why was this person allowed to disembark in the first place? This occurred during boarding, so there should have been attendants there to stop him or at least ask him where he was going. And once he did disembark, why was no one able to track where he went? Seems like an odd security breach and, ultimately, a huge inconvenience for the passengers who remained on the plane."

If I'd know it was going to be 3 hours, I would have maybe gotten some food and wandered away to find a place that had a spot to sit. Instead, standing on one foot and then the other, hungry for three house while Air Canada got their #@%*# together and found a plane that actually functioned appropriately."
Cons: "The final leg of our travel boarded over 2 hours late. No compensation given for that. Two planes were declared not fly worthy-low confidence. While not Air Canada's responsibility, Toronto's Pearson Airport was awful. We went through many airports on our travels and this stood out as the worst. Constant security checks that seemed unnecessary. Poor line management. Not enough security/immigration kiosks. Very expensive food. During our 2+hour delay for boarding, we observed constant gate changes for other flights. Flight organization seems poor."
