Cons: "Due to weather patterns, we sat on the runway for 3 hours waiting to take off. There was approx. 50+ planes ahead of us. I know this because I was sitting next to an off-duty pilot on his way home. About 2 hours in, there was 30 planes left to take off, and then us. They air traffic control people were only letting off one plane per minute which is what was holding us. THEN after the 3 hours on the runway, our crew timed out and the brought us back to gate saying we were not taking off. At the gate, they informed us the flight was not 'cancelled' but 'delayed' to the following morning. I/m not sure how a 16 hour difference is considered 'delayed', but I digress. All Delta reps had NO idea the time of the new flight the following morning and told us all to just 'keep checking the app'. Now, fortunately for me I live in Brooklyn and could just go home. But what about everyone who was at LGA as a layover? I heard from multiple passengers they had to spend the night in a hotel, that Delta did not pay for. We finally got notice the new flight was scheduled for 9:30AM, which they AGAIN delayed until 11:30AM. Many people did not get the second change, and were already at LGA for the 9:30AM flight. To say Delta's handling of this was poor is an understatement. We knew when we got on that plane the crew was going to time out. Again, I was sitting next to an off-duty pilot who told me to 'get comfy, we're gonna be here awhile' the minute I sat down. Delta should have given us a fresh crew, or had a backup one prepared. I understand the weather is out of there control, and I understand you can't have a tired crew piloting an airplane, but there are other ways to have us take off remotely on schedule."

Worst airline ever don’t travel with American Airlines
Flight was delayed by one hour, then another 1/2 hour then cancelled and changed till the next day. We were not allowed to get our luggage & put up in a dirty hotel. I had cockroaches in the bathroom. When I finally arrived home…i noticed the airline had damaged the zipper on my suitcase. An awful awful trip thanks to American Airlines.

The captain said 20 minutes til we can get a gate, but he'll try to get it sooner. He apparently didn't succeed, because it was 45 minutes (!!) before we got to the gate! As a result, 3 hours 15 minutes late. Officially this is "due to weather." Sure."

Compared to boarding by row, the entire process is now one lengthy mess."

After everybody finally boarded the plane an announcement was made that somehow the luggage crew had damaged the cargo hold, and that everybody would have to deplane. It would take 45 minutes for maintenance crew to arrive to assess the situation. People got up, got their luggage out of the overhead bins, and started moving to the front of the plane. The pilot then came back on the intercom and told everyone they would have to return to their seats. Roughly an hour later we finally took off. It would have been the decent thing to do to AT LEAST offer the passengers something (i.e. comp drinks or snacks), but the cheapskates at United DIDN'T EVEN APOLOGIZE. Multiple people missed their connections. Fast forward to IAH--> SAT. Another late flight. This time, everybody boarded the plane only to be informed that due to a problem with the plane's computer everybody would have to sit on the plane while they "rebooted" its computers. This was done TWICE. UNITED AIRLINES, GET IT TOGETHER. There is a very good reason you are consistently ranked one of the WORST US-flagged carriers, which makes you one of the MOST HATED AIRLINES ON THE PLANET. I really and truly pray that the US airlines and their lobbyists lose their battle to prevent foreign flagged carriers from operating within the US, because you all deserve to go bankrupt."

I get bad weather, I wouldn't want to go up in a plane in a thunderstorm regardless of the circumstances....but I spent almost a day getting to my destination that should of only taken9 hours tops. Delay upon delay, arriving right when my next flight was leaving. Very rude staff, I saw an attendant yell at a mom and daughter like she was their mom. Non-apologetic to anyone. Their goal is to shove you in the plane and shove you out. Are they safe airline? Yes, they will get you to where you need to be...but not before they make your life hell. I don't normally do reviews on anything, but United still has me frustrated even a week later. I almost forgot, they did give $20 to eat. Do you know how expensive airport food is?"

The flight was overbooked, so we weren't going anywhere until people volunteered to take later flights. To allow enough time for someone to volunteer, aircraft maintenance was 'required', a scenario I have seen on a few other United flights. Honestly, I will never fly United again and am cancelling my future flights in favor of taking the train instead. It takes eight hours instead of a theoretical 1.5 hours, but at least it is reliable and not much worse than the ACTUAL time it takes to fly United. Worst airline ever. Barf."

Cons: "The pilot didn’t even introduce himself like most airlines do. The seats didn’t recline, there’s no WiFi which I understand it’s a cheap flight but with no blankets no comfort in the seat it makes it hard to relax. And the flight crew didn’t even smile while handing out food and beverage."

Cons: "First of all. Our flight was delayed 3 hours with no explanation at first (after we boarded they finally told us).There was technical difficulties with the plane. They had to keep re-starting the planes system. It was June in Vegas. This shut off caused the A/C to go off. It got extremely hot. The flight attendants very rudly handed out warm water (no ice) to everyone. Only filled the cups a quarter of the way and would not hand out more. 3 hours after we were supposed to take off, we finally got going. After we were up in the air the flight attendants were extremely rude. Many of the passengers kept asking for snacks and drinks. We were all extremely hungry and thirsty from sitting in an extremely hot plane for hours. We FINALLY got service in time for our plane to start landing. We were then forced to promptly throw our drinks and food away due to landing. Didn't even get a few sips and a couple bites of my chips before I then had to throw it away. I will never fly frontier again. I can say that most of the people on my flight will not be flying frontier either. I never write bad reviews. I am an extremely easy going person. I understand plane difficutlies but the staff of the plane were extremely rude and did not handle the situation well."

Cons: "I had to bring my wedding dress and called ahead to make sure I had it figured out. Most airlines have a closet type storage area by the flight attendants and frontier does not. I was told over the phone I would have to buy a seat for my dress so I did that. Then when I went to the airport the lady was pretty rude and said that it was incorrect and it would be dumb to do that and I wasn't allowed. Then I had to pay an extra fee as well. Once to the gate we were delayed and the plane was there the entire time. We were scheduled to take off at 6:55 and boarded at 7. No reason for the delay and they didn't keep us updated. I was not very happy with Frontier this time."

Cons: "The worst part was we landed at 9:30 and did not get our checked bags until 11:30! We stood around for 2 hours!!!!! They said they were already 45 minutes behind to start with. How do you get that behind? You have to pay for everything, including coffee and water. We paid to check our bags at $25 online because they charge $30 for carry on. After waiting two hours for our checked bags, I sure wish I would have splurged on that $5.00! Even though we bought two tickets, to sit together we would have had to pay more, so I got the nightmare of a girl asleep in my armpit on one side and another guy on other side snoring and legs spread out across my chair. Virgin was only $40 more, would have been worth it in end!"

The way back was also delayed and the power died or the computer system shorted as we were about to take off and it was further delayed because they had to do a system reset. And it is absolutely obsurd to design your planes without reclining chairs, your seats are the most uncomfortable seats I have ever flown on. And then to charge +$200 for two round trip for reclining chairs, ridiculous! I will probably never fly frontier again not will I recommend your airline to anyone."

Cons: "The flight was delayed 3 hours. Then they told us we had to board in 20 minutes or else the flight is cancelled. So we did, then we sat there for 20 minutes and they told us 10 people had to get off the plane due to a weight distribution issue. So 10 people got off. Then we sat there for another 20 minutes and then finally the pilot came on and said the airport was closed so the flight was cancelled. It took forever to figure out when the next flight would be, everyone was mad, I had to stay the night at the airport. Then when we finally did leave the next day, it was the most uncomfortable flight I've ever had. NEVER flying frontier again."

I know that was not the airlines fault, but it seemed excessive to be on the tarmac for over 2 hours and being over three hours late in getting to the gate. It was the airlines fault that I had to pay $40.00 to check a small bag and that we only got a half cup of water after the long delay."

Cons: "One skycap to handle passengers from 3 flights leaving at approximately the same time. This is 'no way to run an airline.' It is unfair to passengers and staff. At least free water to passengers who just went through such an ordeal."
