Cons: "To be clear, I do not have an issue with overweight people. That being said, I was put in an extremely uncomforatable position on this flight. My seatmate was a woman who easily weighed 400 pounds without the slightest exageration and was 5'7 at best. She carried all of her weight in her midsection and behind, which was truly uncomforatable for us both. As she attempted to squeeze into the aisle seat it became apparent that with the armrest down it was not going to happen. She raised the armrest and finally maneuvered into her seat and part of mine also. Not only was her bottom in my seat but her stomach was resting on my entire right leg. It felt like a toddler was sitting on my lap. This was beyond uncomfortable and embarrassing for us both as it was clear that she knew how intrusive this was and kept apologizing. My leg went to sleep after about 15 minutes so I asked to be let out. I approached the flight attendent and requested that my seat be changed to which she responded that the flight was full. I know it wasn't because I could see an empty seat about four rows in front of me. Finally I sat back down but every 15 minutes or so she would get uncomforatable and get up to stretch. The first time it was a welcomed break, until she came back and flopped in her seat with so much force that it felt like someone had ran and jumped in my lap. This occurred 4 or 5 times during the flight. I am not sure what the policy is for obese passengers, but it should be relooked. As a passenger I should not be put in a position to address another passengers weight. I also should not have to pay for a seat and only get to use 2/3 of it. Lastly, no one should ever be allowed to put their body parts on top of another persons lap and that be considered ok."

Cons: "My mother, Linda Thompson, has a progressive neuromuscular disorder, Dystonia. Along with this condition, stress can bring on non-epileptic seizures. My mother has had to endure one of these seizures due to the stress that this incident had put her through. As my mother's power of attorney, I am helping her vocalize this incident that she has experienced. The image below shows the spot where she was left, in the Atlanta airport, in her wheelchair. Delta airlines says they provide safe, accessible travel to all of their passengers. That includes providing an employee to transport physically disabled persons to and from their flights and to their shuttle. An employee accompanied my mother when she got off of her plane arriving in Atlanta from Charlotte. This employee was obligated to transport her where she needed to go. Due to her first flight being delayed, she missed her connecting flight in Atlanta, and had to stay the night until the connection could be made in the morning. They provided her with a voucher to a local hotel and a shuttle to that hotel. The employee who met her at the gate was obligated to help her get to that shuttle so she could get to her hotel in time. As many of us may know, Atlanta airport is one of the largest. You might need to take a train to get from one area to the next. It would be very difficult for my mother to walk that distance with her cane, and that is why she needed a wheelchair. The inconsiderate, selfish employee of whom needed to transport my mother to her destination was coming to the end of his shift. He attempted to hand my mother off to another employee at the desk while she was getting her voucher. Told her it was the end of his shift and he had to clock out. She told him, "You can't leave her here". Her statement, and the way she stated it, made my mother feel like she was a piece of luggage. She ignored it and let the employee take her on her way. She just wanted him to take her to her shuttle so that she could get to her hotel and rest. That did not happen. He strolled my mother along for a moment until they were out of site. They approached a gate, of which was empty, and he told her to wait here for an agent to come by. He left. She waited...and waited. No one ever came and assisted her. She was left like a piece of luggage in the middle of the Atlanta airport with no one around. My mother was treated like a bag that someone did not want to carry around anymore. This situation and the selfishness of that employee makes me think of who else could have been treated like this, or who else could be treated like this in the future. Help me spread this message so that something can be done about this issue. Delta has already been contacted, they do not care enough to do anything about it. I bet they will if this message gets heard by their potential future passengers."

Cons: "My TSA information was included in the flight to DC, but apparently omitted from the system for the return trip. This forced me to go through the non-TSA precheck even though I have paid for and am a known traveler. The flight was also late and making it later still, was the gate having to plead for passengers to check their bags as a way to avert the airline’s overbooking it in the first place."

Cons: "American isn’t my preferred airline for obvious reasons (delays, notoriously bad service, old planes, and a lack of amenities like WiFi and tv’s), but now I’ll never spend my money with them again. They took me off an already delayed flight after I’d already boarded to examine my smart bag. I know that lithium batteries can’t be taken in the underbelly of the plane and I knew my bag would likely be checked at the gate (why I removed the battery and left it at home in the first place). When they asked me if I had a lithium battery in my bag I said “no.” They then gate checked the bag and allowed me on the plane. After everyone had been boarded (half an hour after we’d been scheduled to take off) they then called my name out on the speaker. I had to then de-board the plane and re-explain to staff that there was no lithium battery in my bag. The staff didn’t believe me citing the infallible logic: “there are ports so there’s a battery.” I told them again and again that the battery had been removed and the charging ports—while there—were inert as they weren’t attached to the battery. STILL, I had to remove all of my clothes from the bag, and open every single compartment (of which there were many) for them to allow me to get back onto the plane. They were telling me that they might have to “rebook the flight” if my bag couldn’t get on. I don’t think I need to explain how agitated/terrified that made me."

Cons: "The flight was delayed for over 2 hours because of a reported maintenance issue with the aircraft but was originally delayed because of not having flight attendants available. When the flight attendants did finally arrive they all had an attitude of wishing to be anywhere but on this flight. The lead flight attendant even got into a verbal altercation with the gate agent demanding help getting people's bags into the overhead compartment because she was "injured" & not supposed to be at work. All in all a quite dissatisfying experience but not an uncommon one with this airline & this airport. I will use both only when I have absolutely no other options."

Cons: "Because our first flight was delayed over 4 hours we missed our connection and had to be re-booked on the only other flight that still had seats that day. We had previously booked and paid for Main Cabin extra seats in the second row that included extra leg room and free drinks. We ended in an airplane with two exit rows, one near the front and the other near the back. Our seats were right behind the rear exit row in the back of the plane. The seats did not recline and there was limited leg look because the exit row seats were aligned differently due to the crew seat next to the door. Also, the bathroom was right in front of the row in front of us and so it was busy, noisy and smelled. Obviously we didn't get our free drinks either. Now I'm having to fight with American trying to get a refund of the money we spent for the Main Cabin extra fees. The fun never stops. I will never fly American again."

Cons: "This was a connecting flight, and I arrived at the gate from American Airlines flight 2656 in plenty of time to make the connection. However 15 minutes after arriving at my designated gate it was announced that American Airline flight 4874 would be delayed for 15 minutes for maintenance, which was fine, I want the plane I am flying in to be in perfect working order. So the departure time went from 2:32 to 3:00, then it went from 3:00 to 4:01. Next, it was announced that there had been a gate change. Once we all arrived and the passengers had deplaned and it was announced we could board it was closing in on 4:30. Now once we were on the plane we sat for one and a half hours with no food or water. Finally, they announced that the flight attendant would be coming around with water which was poured from bottles into cups and cookies or pretzels, what, did the plane crash on a deserted island and I not know it? After more sitting, we finally took off, I arrived at my destination 4 hours later than planned. I think this could have been handled more efficiently, and with more aplomb than the standard "we apologize", that does nothing for me and my trip went from 1 hour to 4 with me finally arriving at the Roanoke airport at 6:45."

WHen i told the attendant i was being "rained" on he said...i know its happening everywhere..... he said there was nothing he could do but get me paper towels...they never came. I was very annoyed getting off the plane walking back and forth....it was aweful. and my flight before this was no better i am VERY TURNED OFF BY AMERICAN AIRLINES RIGHT NOW."

Cons: "The gal at E terminal customer service in charlotte was rude and condescending as i asked if I could get on my original connecting flight that American Airlines had rescheduled since my first flight was delayed an hour and they thought I’d miss it. But we ended up landing earlier than expected so I went to the gate to see if I could get on my original early flight and she was rude and told me I can’t keep switching flights.....when I pointed out that AA had rebooked me she was like ok but you can’t keep switching flights. Then she yelled at the lady behind me who was trying to get to a hospital. -1 Service for AA"

Cons: "This was a tiny aircraft from Charlotte to Savannah. Our bags were placed into "valet" for the flight. When I retrieved my bag, the handle was broken! Destroyed on a 1 hour flight. This is exactly why people don't like checking their bags. There is no care for other people's belongings. It's bag enough you're packed on these flights like sardines and then you have to worry about receiving your property back the way you gave it to them. Placed a claim, but meanwhile I had to purchase new luggage for my return trip."

Cons: "My checked bag, which l paid $25.00 for, didn’t make it on the flight to Pittsburgh. It got there on another flight at 7:30 pm Monday night but no one from American Airlines did anything about trying to get it to me until 11:30 pm. As a result, while l stayed at a hotel only 30 miles from the airport, my bag wasn’t delivered until 2:00 am on Tues, more than 8 hours after l got there. And their website for supposedly checking on lost luggage, aa.com/bag status, is next to useless. It gives no useful information. Use the 800 # but state you want to talk with a human when answering the questions in their phone tree. I’ve had other experiences on AA over the last few years that lead me to question their commitment to customer service. I’ll be avoiding American Airlines as a travel option where other alternatives are available."

Cons: "Since we have an AAdvantage CitiCard and are AAdvantage members, it is disconcerting to have to claim your privilege of 1 free bag and priority boarding each time. This is embarrassing at the gate especially since it looks like we are cutting the line. What good is this "privilege" if you have to assert it every time or hold a credit card in hand with your carryon and boarding pass. This should be included in our ticketing at the time of purchase and upgraded on our boarding pass if we use the damn card for the purchase. It is now not a "privilege" but an inconvenience."

Pros: "The flight was delayed by more than two hours which caused us (me, wife, 4yo, and 7mo) to miss our connection from LAX to HNL. We had to stay the night in LA and take a morning flight to HNL. But despite the delay, the gate agent in Charlotte did a good job of updating people and remained very polite even when it was clear people were getting frustrated and starting to get sharp with him. Pilots did a good job of trying to make up as much time as possible. I can't remember how much time they shaved off but I think it was more than 20 minutes. Customer service in LA was solid too. Went to CSD to get our tickets changed. They had already changed our flight to a 8 AM flight. We asked if we could take a later flight because of the kids and he was able to accommodate. They also gave us vouchers for 3 meals and a night at the Holiday Inn. Having a delayed flight is never fun but the AA staff was amazing throughout."

Cons: "We did not get on this flight because AA's scheduled it 90 minutes after landing from an Int'l flight. Why don't airlines schedule a minimum 3hours between Int'l-domestic connections. half the plane was stressing and freaking out about missing their connection even though the plane landed on time. "AA is not responsible for customs/security delays". Well, your customer service agents would have a lot less work if you didn't have to reschedule 100 people per flight. The time the plane drives/parks at the gate, you get off the plane and make it through customs, get your bag, recheck it (if need be, we didn't this time though), get through security and get to your gate, you'll be the luckiest person in the world to do that in less than 90 minutes."

Cons: "I can't rate it because they canceled my entire itinerary without so much as an email. I did not take my flight to Wilmington via my original flight. I had to book another flight because the change fees were too expensive. I did not know that my return flight to Denver had been canceled until I was checking in a few hours before my flight. I was told my ticket had no value. Awesome! It really stings that I then had to book a new return flight, and because I am a teacher who makes about $23,000 a year, I had to book the cheapest flight, which was with American. I do not plan on giving them any of my hard-earned money in the future if I can help it."

I think no screens on a cross-country flight is not good business. Not everyone is savvy with go-go inflight. And if there are no screens, could there at least be outlets? I was so tired after my Paris flight and wanted to chill with some go-go entertainment, but my battery was low and there were no outlets. I know not all flights can have these luxuries, but if the flight is over five hours, I think it should be better equipped."

Cons: "I was supposed to make the trip from BNA to CHS at 2:30, we were delayed over 1.5 hours, making me miss this flight by 5 mins. Then I was put on 10pm flight which was cancelled! They couldn't get me to HHH until 6pm the following day. I would have missed my entire conference. The closest they could get me was a 10pm flight to charleston, then I had to rent (AND PAY FOR) a car and drive 2 hours to HHH in the middle of the night. The customer service people were less than helpful. They aren't allowed to help you make car reservation. My flight on the way back from HHH to BNA was a similar story. Thankfully my connecting flight was delayed an hour or there was no way I would have made it."

Finally after waiting for an hour on the airport the same flight was change 4 times more. A manager in United got us in a different flight but we arrived 40 minutes later to Madrid and missed our connection to our other flight. I had to buy a one way expensive tickets because my connection was loss due to the issues with the FL rigth from Charlotte"

"The flight, crew and cleanliness was good, my main complaint is that they tried to charge for ANY and EVERY BAG bag, whether checked or carry on. So you think you are getting a good deal for flight tickets, but that cost does NOT include ANY bags. The very nice gentleman who checked us in ended up only charging us for 2 of our 6 bags. We had 1 checked bag and 5 carry on (1 for each of us traveling). So he charged for our 1 big checked bag and 1 carry on and then waived the fees for all our other carry on bags. This helped tremendously and was very much appreciated. Although, since we now know Frontier does charge for all bag types, we will probably avoid using them again."

Pros: "I had never used Frontier till today and I have to say for being a discount Airline I was impressed. The flight boarding was quick, the seats were the same size as a normal airline in coach.....while I did not pay for a reclining seat I was comfortable for the 1.5 hour flight. I packed a bag that met the personal item size maximum and was not hit with any other fees. I actually found that the service was good and other passengers were friendly......probably because everyone was so happy that they didn’t overpay for the flight. I’ll definitely book again!"

Cons: "Sat on the tarmac for over 3 hours. A fight broke loose and we had to return to the terminal and then back to the tarmac for more sitting. The crew finally figured out how uncomfortable and frustrated people were getting 2.5 hours to sitting with no air on the tarmac. They relieved their customers suffering then with complimentary water! Now that’s service. Frontier is one of the most base airlines out there. I’m entirely frustrated that they are one of the only airlines that service our podunk airport."

Our 3.5 hour flight turned into a 7 hour flight after being unable to land because of storm conditions, circling for over an hour, and being rerouted to land at another airport for refueling before finally heading to our destination. It has been a week and our backs are still bothering us. We flew Frontier because it looked cheaper but after paying for luggage, seats, and food we would have been way better off to have flown on Southwest. We will never fly Frontier again."

Cons: "I cancelled my flight a week before the time of departure they said that it'll cost me $99 to cancel the flight and $86.45 was supposed to be refunded. the lady told me it will take 7 to 10 business days when I called 3 days later on the 10th day I called and the gentleman told me that I don't get a refund I get a credit of the $86.45 that I can use to October 7th to use on any flight. My problem with that is I don't fly often and I had to cancel that due to my job. I feel that if I cancel a flight way in advance before the flight is being departed I should be able to get my refund back I'm sorry to say it is but I would never use this airline company again because if I knew that the first time. I wouldn't have done it. Oh I also found out because I keep getting updates from kayak of the flight that the flight was supposed to been I believe was 8:30 p.m. but due to rain it didn't leave Philadelphia Pennsylvania until around 11:45 p.m. so I'm kind of glad now I didn't go because my family member who I was going to visit would have been very upset because they had to stay up an extra 4 hours and they had to go to work the next morning."

The flight was 14 hours late coming in to den , plane broke down and do you they would help you ,,,nope your on your own . Missed a 70 th birthday party . I used to fly frontier exclusively the customer service wa great the plans clean with entertainment in the seat back . now it's like riding in an upholstered sewage pip With all the delux amenities of the DMV .by the time they up charge , you could have trvailed on real airline ."

Cons: "There was a lag time from when we boarded and when we departed and there was no reason given for the delay. Unfortunately we also experienced a lot of turbulence during the flight (no one's fault) but our almost two year old ended up getting sick and neither seat back pocket had any bags. Luckily the lady next to my husband had brought her own and gave them to us. We were in the back of the plane and asked for a trash bag and or napkins and they ignored us at first. My husband and I tried to stay positive and laughed pretty much the whole time because these things happen. The crew didn't help us until decent (about 20 minutes later) and seemed upset that some got on the floor as they were complaining that they would need to use a special cleaning agent. Our son was such a trooper and wasn't fussy or crying. His stomach just couldn't handle the turbulence. The only positive about our flight we're the wonderful passengers sitting around us!"

Cons: "The outbound flight was delayed only three hours. The return flight was delayed three hours, after which we boarded and waited. After another hour we taxied to the runway and returned. I am grateful we did not take off with a defunct left-engine. We taxied back to the airport and de-planed--but only after being instructed not to talk to the other passengers. (Really.) The flight was not cancelled, even when the plane was towed to the hangar. Finally, after six hours, Frontier offered a refund--as they had no interest in placing us on another airline that was going to the same destination. I rented a car and drove from Charlotte to Philadelphia to retrieve my own car from the airport so I could arrive home 15 hours after my scheduled arrival. Frontier couldn't care less. NEVER again."

Cons: "Biggest regret buying this "discounted" ticket. Not a real discount. Found out there were a bunch of hidden fees when I was checking in. They charge $60 for the checked bag EACH WAY and was super shocked they charge for a CARRYON!! Unbelievable. None of the regular seats recline whatsoever unless you pay more hidden fees just to have your seat not be straight up the entire time, and there is no front table to put a computer. To save another dime, they installed some super cheap 6 inch x 3 inch mini ledges that they call tables. I'll NEVER fly with Frontier again. They also refused to let me check in early so I had to sit and wait for hours since they refused to give me a boarding pass until I came all the way back to ticketing exactly and only exactly at 2 hours before boarding. Worst flight. A total shame since the crew was incredibly nice."

Cons: "They lost my bags I was flying to Atlanta from Phoenix and my bag ended up in St Louis ... i would assume that if your going to make me pay for my checked bag it would atleast make it to the correct destination. The crew wasn't as pleasant and friendly as I'd like them to be but did there jobs (I guess) then we had to sit and wait for a gate .... the only reason why a gate finally opened up was because people started asking for snacks. Overall there was nothing special about this flight I was upset that I didn't have my luggage from the beggening of my trip but the day before I left my bag was recovered . The ticket was inexpensive but I'm not sure if it was worth the hasstle Then I had to pay for my bags coming back as well. Suggestion maybe have a 50% voucher ad a courtesy from sending a bag to the wrong destination."

Cons: "The plane was definitely older and there was trash and something sticky all in and around my seat. The flight attendants were very stuck up and played on their tablets and phones for the duration of the flight, ate pizza, and looked to be drinking too. Not much customer help, but that's also because no complimentary items are given through frontier, no even a half cup of soda. There are no bonus features on board like wi-fi or tv's on seat backs to order tv or movies. The price of flight was offset by the cost of bags and seat, so I ended up paying the same as I would have via United. I will not be flyin Frontier again."

Cons: "It was cheap. You get what you pay for... I had forgot that there were absolutely NO additional frills with this airline... You get one cup of water and absolutely nothing else. The staff was a nice as can be expected, but didn't look like anyone wanted to be there. And when my husband asked for some hot tea (thinking it would be complimentary - it was not), they got very frustrated. But I would guess they're just victims of their circumstances, so no hard feelings... Still, wouldn't recommend unless you're on an extreme budget."

I actually payed more with the cost of a ticket, bags and seat than a flight out with another airline. Both flights I took PHX-DTW and back were both significantly delayed. The seats were uncomfortable and tight. This is the first and last time flying with Frontier airlines."

Pros: "Likely the most uncomfortable plane I've ever been on. Seats feature zero padding, the inability to recline, and a tray table the size of a DVD case. I'm 5' 9" 148 pounds, young and very healthy. I left the plane with a twisted up neck like I've never had before. I landed safely so I MUST be thankful for that, but if I was booking I would want to know this information. Since I'm the wiser now I will not book with Frontier again. Also it was an extra $90 for my CARRY ON round trip. It notified me it would be extra when I booked online but didn't specify how much. What a surprise. I spent more on the fees for the bag than I spent on the bag itself (and most of the contents for that matter)."

She also helped me with handicapped transport around the airport. The man who got me from the counter to the gate stopped at a restaurant so I could grab some food as I didn't have any time to eat during the day. However all 3 flights were pushed back with the last over 2 hours late. I didn't get home until well after 2 am. Should have gotten home by 11:30 pm. Colleen"

Cons: "Tried to cancel this flight using the flight insurance I was up sold during checkout. Turns out that the flight insurance was only available for international flights? When I ask the agent why it was the recommended during purchase, she said I should have read the full terms and conditions during checkout. To me, this was a true scam. She told me that I could appeal the conditions of the travel insurance, but I would have to present a death certificate of the friend's baby that had just passed - the reason the baby shower was cancelled, and the reason this trip was cancelled. It was appalling. I tried calling Frontier directly, but their reservation desk was closed due to their system being down. HOURS I tried to call, and could not get a rep. I ended up not able to cancel the flight or even speak w a Frontier rep before my flight departed. In all, I was given 6 different numbers or lines to call to sort through this situation. All I did was waste hours of my time. This was a terrible situation where I feel like I was the victim of a scam."

Response time was extremely long and trying to get a hold of someone was nearly impossible (When through a bunch of prompts to discuss issues with a computer instead of a real person. Yes I tried pressing "0" every chance I could to be redirected)"

We had to change gates which means we had to go through security twice. The staff blamed everyone and everything else (even the passengers) for all the issues and took ZERO responsibility for anything. I can't believe they are still in business with this level of customer service. The flight attendants were ghetto too. Making light of a bad situation by saying the worst things possible. Total embarasment transfer. I'll never fly Frontier again and will think twice about booking travel with Kayak."

Cons: "Flight 1884 out of SFO was doomed from the beginning starting with a notice (thanks Kayak) via email that the flight would be 1 hour late. Then, the Departure board at the airport totally dropped the flight, Then (again thru Kayak) I read that the flight would NOT board in terminal 1, Gate 21, Domestic terminal, but ar gate A3 in the International terminal. We all had to exit domestic and go to international and again through TSA. Then the flight departed another 30 minutes late finally over 2 hours LATE! Upon arrival at Phoenix the plane taxied too far away from the exit ramp-another 40 minutes before we could depart. It was an awful flight experience. Did they offer a free soda or anything for inconvenience we experienced-NOT A THING!"

Staff shows up late then has to log on to computers and get ready. Once we check bags, lines are so long at security we are diverted to different gates. Worst airline I have ever used."

Pros: "The flights went fine, and were mostly on-time, just a little delay leaving Chicago because the incoming flight had to wait for a gate to open up"
Cons: "Frontier's customer service line is horrible, with no clear option to reach a person to ask questions of without hunting through every option. Also, they charged me to pick a seat, ANY seat, so what the hell am I paying for when I pay for a flight?! I also had to put my backpack under my seat, even though it was stated numerous times on their website that it would be too big, and I had to pay $40 to make it a carry-on, when there was no room in the overhead bins. Their customer service line AND website stated I could be charged up to DOUBLE that ($80) if I had to pay for it at the gate. I looked it up, and I would have payed less on at least two other carriers because of the extra charges. This is information that should CLEARLY be stated when listing the costs of a flight, not "covered" under "additional costs may apply" or some such legalese"

If I buy a plane ticket, that price is what I am expecting to pay. I understand a few charges here and there, but more than double what I expected to pay is completely crooked and terrible business. The plane ride was bare bones, uncomfortable seats, and average service. We will never be flying Frontier again."

Pros: "Except for my "complaint," I thought the flight was fine. People were helpful boarding the play. The crew seemed friendly and chatty. I had a good seat (upgraded to the first three rows for extra expense). The monkey white wine was good and the flight attendant was witty and helpful. Thanks!"
Cons: "The only thing that caused me some concern was that the ATL gate on the printed ticket read 1 but the actual departure gate was 1A. At first I went to 1 and the flight information said Trenton and I didn't see the 1A or even go there to look. I found a helpful Delta service personnel who said, "Oh these people, they are never around to help the passengers. I'll help you. He went online at a kiosk in the general hallway and pulled up the flight as departing 1A. Sincere there was no way for me to know about this. I could have missed the flight. Either post someone to direct passengers OR put the correct information on the electronic ticket. Thanks."

Cons: "The flight attendants were bored and unhelpful, the plane was cramped and hot. This is a low value airline that nickels and dimes its passengers."

Cons: "It's a bit offensive to be charged for drinks. Either don't offer them, or don't charge for them. Have one free drink,a dn one free snack, so that the people who took your cheap flight and are broke don't have to eat their hands.. Also, the whole, not even one free carry on will make me think twice before booking with you guys again. Fortunately I was able to pack über light, and that was my one item. And I get that weight is fuel, and fuel is money. But seriously, that felt kinds rude. Glad I checked in on line and found out in time to repack."

Cons: "As others have mentioned, they slapped on very deceptive fees at the last minute for things that no other airline charges for like choosing a seat assignment and a carry-on bag. The fees completely negated any savings from booking with them in the first place. Also, the online check-in system was clunky and took longer than it should have, and then my flight was cancelled because they couldn't get their act together with scheduling two days after a storm hit Denver. I had to re-book my flight with another carrier which ended up costing $1200. Not a bargain!"

Pros: "Trip was cancelled. Don't overbook flights on important holidays. What a travesty it was to cancel the special event due to not being able to get there."
Cons: "Earlier notice of flight cancellation by Frontier Airlines would have helped. The Charlotte Airport was close to chaos due to the lack of management of the many people there trying to be processed. This experience was a nightmare and I have lost all trust in Frontier Airlines going the extra mile to make things work smoother. It is known that holidays will have more people in the terminal. Plans by all airlines and the airport should be in place, including hiring more workers, to make the flow and the flights work better. Sometimes cancellations can't be avoided, but there should be a better alternative than being told that the next flight will be seven days later."

Terrible service, terrible airline, don't be tricked by 5% cheaper fairs... they suck!"
Cons: "They canceled our flight home from PHX to MSP, they blamed weather in DFW, which is bull, there were many other airlines flying out of DFW that morning. Because they blamed weather, there was no compensation for screwed up schedules. The next available flight was 2.5 DAYS later!! no other options, it was ridiculous... they were no help to get rebooked on another airline, or even driving to another airport... horrible all around. We ended up driving to Mesa Gateway, flying Alegiant Air to Fargo, renting a car, driving 5.5 hours back to MSP to get our car, then 2.5 hours home again. But it's all good, Spirit refunded that leg of our fare... $220... we spent over $750 to get home by 1am, when we should have been there by early afternoon. DONT EVER FLY SPIRIT - THEY'RE THE WORST..."

Pros: "Brand new airplanes, and pleasant stewards."
Cons: "Over two hour delays waiting to board going both ways. In both cases the planes and cabin crew were on site but waiting for pilots. Apparently the pilots are suffering from 'blue flu' because they're not getting paid as much as other airline pilots, so they're intentionally calling in sick at the last minute. If the pilots keep this up they won't have airline to work for. Also didn't like that you pay for ANY luggage (even one carry on bag). By the time you pay for the add on fees your right back at the same price as other airlines. Then you add the time delays on, and your losing out. Won't be flying this airline again."

Pros: "Honestly, there was nothing to like."
Cons: "I can't give it a rating because they cancelled the flight and had nothing to book us on. Waited over 3hrs before they finally found me something. Gave me a hotel voucher but when I finally got to the hotel, they had no rooms. The transportation to the hotel cost a fortune because the hotel shuttle would not pick up the phone. They finally put me in a room with someone else from my flight. I got 60 min of sleep before having to return to airport. I'm a 49 yr old woman that flies often and this was by far the worst flight/airline experience that I've ever had. And, the lady at the hotel kept my food vouchers so I didn't even get to eat the next day."

Cons: "When arrived I had to pay 10 dollars to print my boarding pass. I then had to pay $50 dollars to check my bag. I went to my gate and my flight was delayed. Not a big issue it was just delayed by 45 min. Once we boarded we sat there for about 30 to 40 min just to be told the pilot never showed. So they pulled us off the plane. We were then told that they had another pilot coming but it's going to be 2 hours. I was delayed 4 hours not beacuse of weather or plain issue but beacuse the airline could not keep there schedules in order. How did they not know a pilot was not going to show. How annoying it was to load on a plane to be pulled off again and loaded on again. Worst flight I have ever had and after all that they did not provide a complementary drink or even offer to refund my bag check beacuse of the huge mistake on thee behalf."

Cons: "Spirit cancelled my connecting flight with absolutely no explanation why. The soonest they could get me to Phoenix was Saturday with a flight leaving at 3pm. Thanks to them, I missed my guided tour of the grand canyon and my trip got cut an entire day short. The customer service was awful. There was no organization to anything at all, everyone from the flight was in a jumbled up mess at the ticket counter. There were no lines, no communication, and no remorse from spirit at all. I tried to call their customer service line and was met with one scripted response after the next. After demanding to speak to a supervisor multiple times, I finally got somewhere. Spirit agreed to refund half of my air fair and my $40 luggage fee. Even still, I'm not sure this will actually happen as they gave me no confirmation number and simply told me to check my accounts in 5-7 days for the refund. All in all, it was a TERRIBLE experience and I think it's safe to say I will never be flying Spirit again."

And it was jetway attendant that made the announcement. Cabin flight crew looked tired. Cabin lines to bright during boarding and prior to landing. Plane needs to be retired, old and uncomfortable."

Seats don't recline - quick flight -- didn't matter for me."

Pros: "i have flown spirit multiple times out of phoenix in all kinds of weather and not once has it ever taken off on time! once the airline attendant even yelled at the passengers upon arrival at the gate like we were all children. I decided to check the status today instead of waiting in the airport for four hours and yes--- again it was delayed one hour and then two hours. so I planed accordingly and planned to be at the airport 1.5 hours ahead of the revised flight time. then they changed the flight time again and now I've missed my flight. this airline is absolutely the worst and I have flown domestically and internationally for over 35 years. I'm done with you spirit!"

Pros: "Honestly I didn't like anything about it. The flight itself was fine but charging for everything including checking luggage, $55, and carry on's, $52, was so expensive. I don't have issues with affording flying expenses but I don't expect to pay this kind of money without being informed when I purchase my ticket. NONE of this was explained in the purchase part of the ticket. I will NEVER and I repeat NEVER fly this airline again. I fly all the time for business and family related matters and have never had this type of expenses included in my flight. I am not a frugal person but this is ridiculous. Domestic flights will be only on airlines that do not charge for these things i.e. checking bags and pretzels for Christ sake. Spirit never! Thank you. Call me Chuck Fantastic."

You buy a ticket thinking you are getting a great deal, until you realize you have to pay for EVERYTHING: your carry on, your bags (OH, and they only have a 40lb limit, beware), your seat, and so much more. They are not helpful at check in and honestly don't want people to even have to deal with their agents (do it all online) and charge you $10 extra if you do need to speak to an agent. They are terrible. Food is expensive and they don't give you ANYTHING as a courtesy. I can't believe they are actually making money - but they do it because we all buy a ticket thinking it is a great deal only to find out we have to pay all the fees. I think KAYAK needs to REALLY consider if this is a business they want to promote as a low cost airline."

No announcements at the gate as to changing gates. I had an email when I got home, that didn't do me any good. I don't have a Smart phone so can't get the email til I get home. Airline cannot assume that everyone has a smart phone. I might have missed my flight if I hadn't been paying attention. After I asked at the counter at the gate about the flight, then they made an announcement as to the moving of the gate. NOt helpful..."

The people at the check-in counter said my seat had been given away, they could not reroute me with their computer system, and I had to call Reservations. I did so, was put on hold for several long stretches, and ultimately told that not only could I not get on another outbound flight without purchasing a brand-new ticket, but my return flight was now nullified and I would have buy that again too. Despite how distraught I obviously was, Spirit was unwilling to do anything to assuage the situation. I wasted an hour on the phone in the airport and ended up having to drive to LA through traffic on my birthday. A terrible experience. Never again. Will fly Southwest."

Cons: "I waited in line to check in for 1.5 hours where they then told me I was too late and asked me to sign a piece of paper without at all explaining to me that my bag would have to go on the next flight. I am lucky I asked first because they had to make a special call for me since I couldn't wait at the airport for it at my destination. If I did not ask I would have been completely screwed up! I then waited in security for 45 minutes. My flight got delayed about 3.5 hours Total before actually taking off. I flew from LAX to PHX. I will never in a million years ever fly spirit airlines again."

Cons: "I checked in on my phone the night before and took a screen shot of the boarding pass once the "print boarding pass" automatically opened. After waiting in the security line at Denver International for 25 minutes I got to the front and tried to scan my phone on the TSA machine and was informed Spirit doesn't use mobile boarding passes (the one I had saved is not able to be read by TSA machine)! I had to go all the way to the ticket counter for a paper boarding pass and almost missed my flight. It's 2016 and Spirit does not use mobile passes...so lame."

My flight was going to be on time but the decided to give that plane to the people heading to Vegas because they had been delayed all morning. Spirit told us we would be delayed four hours, then 30 minutes later they said the flight was completely cancelled. I had to go back to the main terminal to pick up my bags and had to go to the Spirit Airlines ticket counter to rebook and get a refund. The line was so long and slow it would have taken hours to talk to someone from Spirit. I called Customer Service and was on hold for 50 minutes before I could finally get refunded. This made me miss the last Spring Training game in AZ! I've been flying for 35 years and this was the worst flying experience in my life!"

Cons: "Cancelled flight at the very last minute because of lack of crew. Not enough staff to accommodate travellers trying to rebook flights. Inept and apathetic staff who were obviously resigned to the fact that Spirit is a substandard airline There was miscommunication and lack of communication in organizing travelers which caused multiple altercations between upset travelers. It was a very disturbing experience. My rebooking took an hour because the staff member didn't know how to rebook! The 'Supervisor' who was at the next desk, was SLOWLY checking bags for other customers and did not help AT ALL. I suggested that he switch places with my agent. He ignored me competely. Attempts to call Spirit resulted in multiple auto transfers and ultimately an intentional auto cut off. I was rebooked on United. When I checked in at their desk, they told me that all the other transferred Spirit customers before me had been sent back to the Spirit Desk because their transfers had not gone through. I have been warned about Spirit. Now I would warn anyone considering Spirit. If it goes right, you're ok. If not, get ready for a travel nightmare. No one needs this kind of abuse."

Cons: "I don't fly Spirit that much but what I saw looked good, on time at both stops and I especially liked getting on board early as opposed to waiting until 15 minutes before the plane takes off. What I didn't care for, but what I now understand is all the extra specific charges they continue to bombard you with are really charges you don't need. Bottom line for me is that I think I spent more money because I purchased other things and the final price that I paid was MORE then my the conventional favored airline! I will fly Spirit in the future."

Don't bother trying to call their "customer service" phone number either because it's the wrong number, then you will be redirected to an answering service that doesn't work, then placed on hold for 20+ minutes, followed up by a service rep who isn't helpful and doesn give you any answers."
