Cons: "Upon deplaning in Cancun, ALL passengers are put on a bus and driven far away from the terminals to an arrivals area. Those of us with connecting flights are royally f*cked at that point, especially if your connection is short, as mine was. The so-called shuttle to the departure terminals, which are entire kilometers away, was to arrive in like half an hour. HALF AN HOUR. Who has this time to spare?? The alternative to the shuttle is paying a taxi that charges a hefty fare--and God help you if you don't have cash. The departures terminal was swamped and only thru begging assistance and line cuts did I make my connection...and then only by the skin of my teeth. It was a complete nightmare."

That same plane, upon taking off back to DTW blew a tire upon take-off, had to do an emergency landing and everyone had to spend the night in NOLA after being delayed all day."

It got there on another flight at 7:30 pm Monday night but no one from American Airlines did anything about trying to get it to me until 11:30 pm. As a result, while l stayed at a hotel only 30 miles from the airport, my bag wasn’t delivered until 2:00 am on Tues, more than 8 hours after l got there. And their website for supposedly checking on lost luggage, aa.com/bag status, is next to useless. It gives no useful information. Use the 800 # but state you want to talk with a human when answering the questions in their phone tree. I’ve had other experiences on AA over the last few years that lead me to question their commitment to customer service. I’ll be avoiding American Airlines as a travel option where other alternatives are available."

The miracle of flight is a miracle. I rarely complain but more often than not when flying domestically I realize how stretched the airlines are."

Even though there were empty seats, I was told that change fee was unavailable for my reservation. I talked to 3 different people on the phone and was given 3 different reasons as to why. 3 different gate people also said there was nothing they could do and there were no supervisors to help. Another person at the counter (who I believe was a supervisor) was able to override and get me on the 2nd (of 3 flights with empty seats)."

I had to buy a one way expensive tickets because my connection was loss due to the issues with the FL rigth from Charlotte"

I could see the gate from the security line and the security line was EMPTY. There was no reason for them not to let me get on the plane, but they ended up scheduling me for a flight to Denver with the connecting flight in the morning- delaying my trip 24 hrs and charging me an extra 125$!!! I ended up paying an extra 85$ to American and was able to get to PHX that afternoon! The ladies at United were straight up RUDE too. When I told the lady at the counter my name she rolled her eyes."

Cons: "I flew to Charlotte, NC last week from Houston with my husband for a funeral. The flight there went smoothly and we used the United app to check in and get our boarding passes. When it came time to check in for our flight home my husband was able to get his boarding pass, but they said mine was unavailable. Obviously concerned I called United. After being on hold for over an hour I was able to speak to a representative. I was told that I hadn't show up for my flight to Charlotte... so they had canceled the returning flight. Not only was I on that flight my boarding pass was scanned twice (one at security and once during boarding). The representative then told me to go to the airport the next day and "try" to explain what happened. I don't know if this was some sort of glitch in the system, but I was very concerned and upset that someone could be on a flight with no record of them being on the plane... and that I was having to spend 2 hours trying to figure out if I could go home after a very stressful day... during a time when I should have been with my family. The next day I had to show up the the airport extra early while the representative there tried to figure out how to reactivate my ticket. Overall, an awful experience... I don't think I will be flying with United again anytime soon."

I know the keys were contained in this article due to the fact that the Keychain was left on top, without keys. Cons: "This was a surprise trip for my boyfriend’s birthday. His father passed away shortly before the trip. We were told no refunds possible, even with the death certificate, and the transfer fee would be close to full price."
Pros: "I was a little hesitant that I could pay under $100 for a round trip flight from Charlotte to Philadelphia. I was pleasantly surprised by the entire experience. My bags even beat me down to the bag check!"

Pros: "Frontier's flight from Charlotte to Trenton was canceled due to equipment problems. Frontier gave us a $10 meal voucher, rebooked us on another flight, and gave us a voucher for a future flight."
Cons: "The flight was scheduled to depart at 10 am but we had to wait till 2 pm before the flight was canceled. The rebooked flight took us to Newark. We then had to drive to Trenton to pick up our car."

Pros: "When we were flying from phili to Charlotte they put my boyfriend's bag in the slot to see if we woyld have to pay for our carry on. His was good. Mine was a little bigger but because i had my chemo medication in it they did not charge me. When i was returning from Charlotte they charged us for both bags. I told her they didn't in phili and she said every airline does it. So maybe something should be written in ur policy. What is the sence of taking a carry on when you are going to pay $90.00 round trip. Makes no sence to me. I hope u do reply back. Other than that everything was good."

Cons: "There was a lag time from when we boarded and when we departed and there was no reason given for the delay. Unfortunately we also experienced a lot of turbulence during the flight (no one's fault) but our almost two year old ended up getting sick and neither seat back pocket had any bags. Luckily the lady next to my husband had brought her own and gave them to us. We were in the back of the plane and asked for a trash bag and or napkins and they ignored us at first. My husband and I tried to stay positive and laughed pretty much the whole time because these things happen. The crew didn't help us until decent (about 20 minutes later) and seemed upset that some got on the floor as they were complaining that they would need to use a special cleaning agent. Our son was such a trooper and wasn't fussy or crying. His stomach just couldn't handle the turbulence. The only positive about our flight we're the wonderful passengers sitting around us!"

Cons: "A special circle in Dante's Hell should be reserved for the Frontier executives who approved the seat design. The non-reclining seat backs are fairly comfortable, but the seat bottoms appear to have about 1/4 inch of foam padding over a hard shell. Did anybody actually test these things out by sitting in them for over 10 minutes?"

Cons: "The outbound flight was delayed only three hours. The return flight was delayed three hours, after which we boarded and waited. After another hour we taxied to the runway and returned. I am grateful we did not take off with a defunct left-engine. We taxied back to the airport and de-planed--but only after being instructed not to talk to the other passengers. (Really.) The flight was not cancelled, even when the plane was towed to the hangar. Finally, after six hours, Frontier offered a refund--as they had no interest in placing us on another airline that was going to the same destination. I rented a car and drove from Charlotte to Philadelphia to retrieve my own car from the airport so I could arrive home 15 hours after my scheduled arrival. Frontier couldn't care less. NEVER again."

Cons: "The Flamingo. We began our vacation with Frontier Airlines on a note of apparent tension between the attendants and boarding passengers. Having not been a frequent flyer, I assumed that this was normal in post 9/11. The male attendant had a cold demeanor, until he was chatting up passengers to buy snacks and drinks. Why sell bar drinks when there is enough disorderly conduct in the air? The plane was cold, noisy and the outside air currents were choppy. No conversation from the pilot was forth coming as to what to expect during the flight. Then there was a the Master Card Commercial. It's bad enough to be crammed into a noisy old plane, but to have to be subjected to a lengthy pitch for a credit card is inexcusable. Sandra Fliniau flight 04-09-2017"
Cons: "Flying home from the Denver Airport (frontier's headquarters) was the ABSOLUTE WORST TRAVELING EXPERIENCE EVER. The Frontier Rep at check-in *Martha, female rep at the Denver Terminal* was incredibly rude, demeaning, and insulting to me. Although I had already checked in online before arriving to the airport, already paid for my checked bag and seat reservation ahead of time, she refused to take my checked bag as it was 3 min past the deadline. As I explained, I already checked in and prepaid, she rolled her eyes at me and said that "because you are trying to check in late you crashed my computer", muttered degrading words under her breath (that I could still hear) as we walked to another computer. I asked to be rescheduled for a later flight, or even send my checked bag out on a later flight, or even mail my checked bag via ups or usps; your Frontier rep told me "your bag is not my problem". She then said the only way to get home was "tomorrow or the day after that". I fully understand the 45 minute deadline. I accept that I missed that cut-off by 3 minutes. I do not understand how a paying customer could be treated so horribly, so disrespectfully. I have tried to get my money back for the checked bag fee and the seat reservation fee, since I never even was allowed to get on the flight; however, frontier repeatedly tells me they are unable to do this. I have never been treated this way and I will never fly Frontier again. I will warn any friends, family, or colleagues of my terrible experience and encourage them to NEVER FLY ON FRONTIER EVER."

Flight back was cancelled and you are basically left to your own devices to get transportation on your own. Your refund is granted in 7 to 10 days but you need to front the cost for whatever last minute transportation you procure. Nightmare carrier if something goes wrong"

Cons: "Why do you try to trick people into paying for seat selection by making actual purchase choices very unclear? Why do I have to call in and have a lengthy conversation with a person just so that I can add my KTN to my profile? Why did it take an hour for a technician to arrive to solve a computer problem? Why is flight delay information so slow to be communicated?"
Cons: "The plane departed 45 minutes behind schedule. When we arrived, 20 people or so did not receive their luggage. Frontier representatives were nowhere to be found. Finally someone came and herded us upstairs, gave us no information about our luggage, and had us form a line to file a claim. Frontier staff was utterly unapologetic and had no sense of urgency. I still don't know where my bag is. The plane was supposed to land at 12:45, and I left the airport at 3:30 and missed an important work meeting."

I spoke with customer service on the phone multiple times on the flight regarding various issues. They were able to help on about half of them. Response time was extremely long and trying to get a hold of someone was nearly impossible (When through a bunch of prompts to discuss issues with a computer instead of a real person. Yes I tried pressing "0" every chance I could to be redirected)"

A flight attendant whose response to my surprise at having to pay for coffee was "...I don't make the rules." Frontier should spend some coffee money on retraining attendants on customer service."

But when it is supposed to leave at 4:15 and You tell everyone 5:15, and then at 5:15 tell everyone it'll be here at 6:15, then at 6:15 it went to 7:15 and then again 8:15. During this entire time, I kept asking for updates and the staff at Frontier seemed angry so many people kept asking....that's your job. Because of the long wait many people didn't eat dinner, JetBlu decided to get coffee and donuts for all of their passengers (they said it over the loud speaker), Frontier didn't give us anything. When the plane landed at 8:15, the slowness of the workers couldn't have been any worse. Loading the bags slow, cleaning the plane slow. Plane gets here at 8:15 and we don't take off until 9:30. You'd think we would get some type of snack or drink for this horrible wait time right? Water is free on frontier, but nothing else. And they stuck with that. NOTHING FREE! Not even a soda or bag of chips! My friend is 6 foot 4 and I'm not sure how they get away with the nonexistent leg room. His knees were smashed against the chair in front of him the entire time. Funny for me, sucked for him (or anyone tall). He asked to change seats to 1 of the 2 open seats we had seen with more leg room (near the side emergency exit). They said no unless he wants to pay $50 right there. In the middle of the flight. I have no words for it. Customer service was horrible, food was nonexistent, drinks were nonexistent, leg room was nonexistent. And that sums up how I'll never be using frontier ever again. Pay $50 more for a better plane service seriously."

Cons: "I was not allowed to e-check in... you don't participate in TSA Precheck and to add insult to everything else, when I showed up to the ticket counter to check in (because you don't allow e-check in) I was charge for my carry on bag. ... obviously the reason you don't allow e-check in. Who travels without a bag??? this is absolutely absurd. On the plane I was even charged for coffee and a glass of water... pathetic... When I asked why they parroted the obviously programmed response that management trained them to say "we're required to charge for that, it's our business model". On the way back I was again forced to check in at the ticket counter. I was asked if I wanted to check my bag or if I was going to carry on... I said carry on and the agent did not charge me. When I was boarding the plane the agent pulled me out of line and made me wait until an agent could come to the counter. They told me that the fact that the ticket counter agent didn't charge me was them not doing their job but that they were going to charge me $60 for the bag despite the fact that they "normal" fee is $45. I asked why I was being penalized because the agent didn't do their job????? Their response was "that's our business model". So let me get this straight, the model is mislead me into buying your ticket with what looks like a cheaper price, then don't let me e-check so that the ticket counter can "forget" to charge me the bag fee so that you can charge me more when I have no choice at the boarding gate..... then when I'm good and mad and trapped on your crappy jump seat (that doesn't recline) you charge me for water... You're airlines scumbag tricks and hidden fees are insulting and I hope people see this before they get suckered into buying from you.... You suck suck suck... and I'll NEVER use you again."
Pros: "Every thing on our flight to New Orleans."
Cons: "Three of us boarded at DIA in Denver on Feb 25 on Frontier Airlines for a flight to New Orleans. We each had one piece of carry on luggage that we placed in the compartment above the seats. There was not additional charge for the carry on. We paid only the cost of our airline ticket. HOWEVER on our return flight Feb 28, we told at the New Orleans Frontier desk there would be an extra charge for the exact carry on luggage we had checked in at Denver fours days before. The extra charge was $40.00 for checking or $45.00 if we carried on our luggage. We explained there was no charge for our carry on's in Denver. That didn't help. SO what choice did we have? We didn't make a scene or issue about this extra charge. We merely paid the extra charge and grumbled on the flight home. You can probably guess about our change in attitude -- from a pleasant flight experience to New Orleans to maybe our next flight will not be on Frontier rather another carrier."

Granted, I am 6'2", but these seats cannot be anything but pure torture to anyone over 5'9". If you're shorter, maybe it's worth it, but I can't guarantee it. But, if you're 6' or taller, I would recommend you avoid regardless of how much cheaper the flight is; It's not worth it."

Plus the service desk people were rude af"

It is my first time, and it was a horrible experience."

Pros: "Our flight was canceled just before we were about to go airport. We were so worried because we need to catch up cruise. We changed to next available flight in next early morning. We arrived 3am at BWI and only learned that flight was delayed until 12noon which made us no way to get cruise terminal in time. After hours talking to the counter staff they agreed to switch us to other airline. You couldn't keep a mode for vacation in that way."

I bought a ticket for my employee to fly to New Orleans and he showed up at the kiosk 40 minutes before the flight and was not able to get on so I had to pay $15 to reschedule for today and he showed up at the same time and still they said that their computers were down and they couldn't check anybody in and there's multiple people angry that they're boarding passes want working and so now we have to figure out how he can get to New Orleans and actually make it there. It'll be three days of not being able to get there because of spirits unethical and subpar customer service. I will never choose to fly Spirit again after this"

Cons: "They would not let me check in at 915 for a 955 flight. The airport was not crowded it was a Tuesday night and they would not budge on the fact that I was there 44 mins before not 45 mins. They have a very strict 45 min check in policy. I had to sleep at the airport and then they charged me 100 dollars for changing my flight. It is a scam. I was on line with multiple people who had to pay for their next flight even though there was plenty of time to get to the gate. I will never fly spirit again!"
Cons: "CANCELLED. NO Assistance with rebook. Refund and you are on your own. Found out later they were have a pilot strike. They didn't disclose that and should have, in my opinion. I had the same exact thing happen on my return flight. Cancelled. No assistance with rebook. Had they been honest and straight forward I could have made proper accomdations for my return flight home. Instead a got the screw job TWICE. I understand that it is not in their control of the pilot strike. But good service would disclose that information as to not cause additional problems. Spirit sucks. Everyone knows that. But they don't have to screw people over and more then already do"

If they could have I am sure they would have charged me 25 dollars for a seat-belt and charged me 10 dollars for using the airplanes bathroom. They are the epitome of money grubbing cheapskates. this is not to mention the seats being at least 4 inches closer together than any other plane I have ever been on. crammed in their like sardines. Spirit airlines is a complete pile of $hit and I will never be flying with them again."

They have small carry on requirements and I ended up checking my bag, which took awhile to stand in line. Plus, they damaged my new carry on bag. Price ended up the same as other airlines, with longer wait time to check a carry on bag and a damaged bag. Also they charge high prices for any food and drink including water. So if you think you get a cheap price, be aware. This will be only good if you travel with 1 personal item small bag but no carry on or checked bag."

Then during the same flight we had to make an emergency landing in Houston due to "electrical problems" which did nothing for my confidence in safety of the airline. As an apology they gave us a $50 certificate which is not enough to even cover bags since they charge for everything. In short, a 4 hour flight turned into 10 hours. You get what you pay for."
Pros: "The price was reasonable and we were able to secure a non-stop flight to and from Detroit from New Orleans. Boarding went smoothly and flight attendants are mostly pleasant. Both flights departed on time and both arrived earlier than scheduled time."
Cons: "The cramped seating, while expected, was especially difficult for my tall husband. Having to measure personal items and concerns about weight of checked bags was frustrating. I think adding a cost to everything seemed a bit excessive. Drinks and snacks were expensive also. Better to bring a snack and bottle of water with you."
Cons: "Seat upholstery needed to be cleaned and arm rests and trays replaced. All of the aforementioned were dirty, worn down with stains and dusted with left-over food crumbs and dirt particles from previous passengers."

Cons: "There was a plane at our gate for over 50 min. after we arrived. We ended up at a different gate and had to sit on the tarmac for over 50 min. after arrival. That is just plain ridiculous. Cons: "the flight was delayed over an hour. When we finally pulled away we had to stop and go back because a luggage compartment door was not latched correctly. Then an engine light came on and we had to wait for a mechanic. Might be cheap but not worth dying for. A water costs $3. The check in process sucks. If you want to select a seat - even if it's the worst seat on the plane - you have to pay extra or get random seat assignment. Single flyers - who cares - families or groups just got nickle and dime'd. carry on bags cost $50 and checked bags $45. The only free bag is basically a computer satchel or small purse."
Pros: "It's a solid budget airline. No frills. I'm an average sized guy so the seats were fine. There's no food served, drinks are extra, even water, and there's no entertainment. I would have put N/A for those two categories in the rating."
Cons: "Water was extra. I would have expected water to be included and other drunks to be extra."

Cons: "I booked a round trip flight through spirit from July 2nd to July 4th for a friend's wedding. Found out the night before my flight that it was cancelled due to "mechanical failure." Since it was on a holiday weekend, all of spirit's other flights for the day were full and customer service (which is also terrible) would not put me on another airline. They offered a refund, which I accepted and have yet to receive, but I had to fork out another $120 to get another last minute flight. And of course they did not offer to cover the extra cost. Tl;dr - booked a flight with spirit because it was cheap and ended up almost missing my friend's wedding because my flight was cancelled."

Cons: "Extra charges for everything, not even a free soft drink. There was a lady with 2 kids sitting directly behind us that talked the whole flight from Atlanta to New Orleans. It was rough."

Cons: "Since the flight got cancelled, I guess I can't rate it. But the way they treated us was terrible - "flight is cancelled, nothing else to offer." Not even an explanation. Fellow passengers indicated this is common. Ended up getting my car out of parking & driving 6 hours - the rumored bad weather wasn't an issue. The website is horrible to navigate, and there's no way to get a refund online, so was on the phone for over an hour. Refused a credit voucher - they probably won't be in business long enough to risk using it!"
Pros: "I will say that getting a non stop flight was good and the ride was smooth but the overall customer service was poor!"
Cons: "Spirit has too many hidden fees luggage fees are ridiculous, no help printing boarding pass, website is ridiculous and will not work prior to checking in for flight and if you tell them that you had problems with checking in on website they will tell you to take a screen shot of the error on the screen and bring it in for future reference, but no fee was waived for there website not functioning And I still had to pay full price for luggage. Ot the website price and even though they tell you you get to bring one piece of luggage free of no charge on the plane it's not true your bag have to be a certain size and if it's over there is an additional fee up to 100$ ... That's why it's cheap to fly spirit they don't include all extra fees . Spirit will be my last resort for flying."
Pros: "The crew was very nice. The flight was on-time"
Cons: "Arrived at airport over 2 hours early. Did pre-check in for flight and luggage. Had to wait in line almost an hour to tag luggage. (Many people were frantic in line re: not getting to flight on time) TSA line was all the way down airport. Knew I would not make flight. NO agent to help me while I waited. Tried calling Spirit no-one could help. Got to counter with less than 15 minutes to boarding time. Supervisor was extremely rude and said there was nothing she could do re: TSA line. Said that if I didn't make flight I could get a later flight or pay extra for something different. Went to TSA line and no-one could help. Saw another Spirit rep, while in TSA line. she rudely said "no-way!" and walked away.. Finally, I "seriously" begged and cut in TSA line. Ran. Made it to gate for final boarding call!!!"
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "What a sad excuse for an airline"
Cons: "I was not able to make the flight and I was not able to get a refund of any kind. NOT GOOD AT ALL"
