Pros: "Seats had lots of leg room and individual TV screens. Choice of movies was limited on our return flight from Boston to Sacramento but more varied on the leg from LAX to Charlotte. Our flights from Charlotte to Boston and Boston to SMF were both delayed due to weather (no fault of the airlines) but the pilots were able to make up time in the air. I was also notified of the flight delays both by Kayak and the airlines. Kudos to them!"

Support dogs are allowed in the cabin and I had to change seats due to allergies. Two dogs were in adjacent rows on our flight from Boston to Sac, which required a bit of seat shuffling to separate them."

Cons: "Our flight was delayed making it so I and several others had less than 4 minutes to catch our next flight. The flight attendants wouldn’t help us at all. Instead of having us come to the front of the plane to exit first we had to ask the rest of the passengers if they didn’t mind letting us through to catch our flight. I have severe psoriatic arthritis and I had to sprint to my next gate that had been changed making it much farther away from our arrival gate. Now I get to spend my vacation in pain trying to recover."

Pros: "The equipment was in new condition. Legroom was comfortable and I liked the adjustable headrests. The bathroom, while airplane scale, was larger than other trans Atlantic flights I have taken and it wasn't as cramped. We were served our meal with real stainless steel utensils (no plastic) and the food was very good. I had a few problems with the media monitor which some instructions would have helped solve. The flight attendants were nice but not over friendly-- no one initiated conversation or engaged much with passengers. I find that odd since the Portuguese are such friendly people. Of course, this crew could have been a mix of nationalities from anywhere. All in all, a very good flight and I will definitely book TAP the next opportunity I have t fly with them."

Cons: "My mother, Linda Thompson, has a progressive neuromuscular disorder, Dystonia. Along with this condition, stress can bring on non-epileptic seizures. My mother has had to endure one of these seizures due to the stress that this incident had put her through. As my mother's power of attorney, I am helping her vocalize this incident that she has experienced. The image below shows the spot where she was left, in the Atlanta airport, in her wheelchair. Delta airlines says they provide safe, accessible travel to all of their passengers. That includes providing an employee to transport physically disabled persons to and from their flights and to their shuttle. An employee accompanied my mother when she got off of her plane arriving in Atlanta from Charlotte. This employee was obligated to transport her where she needed to go. Due to her first flight being delayed, she missed her connecting flight in Atlanta, and had to stay the night until the connection could be made in the morning. They provided her with a voucher to a local hotel and a shuttle to that hotel. The employee who met her at the gate was obligated to help her get to that shuttle so she could get to her hotel in time. As many of us may know, Atlanta airport is one of the largest. You might need to take a train to get from one area to the next. It would be very difficult for my mother to walk that distance with her cane, and that is why she needed a wheelchair. The inconsiderate, selfish employee of whom needed to transport my mother to her destination was coming to the end of his shift. He attempted to hand my mother off to another employee at the desk while she was getting her voucher. Told her it was the end of his shift and he had to clock out. She told him, "You can't leave her here". Her statement, and the way she stated it, made my mother feel like she was a piece of luggage. She ignored it and let the employee take her on her way. She just wanted him to take her to her shuttle so that she could get to her hotel and rest. That did not happen. He strolled my mother along for a moment until they were out of site. They approached a gate, of which was empty, and he told her to wait here for an agent to come by. He left. She waited...and waited. No one ever came and assisted her. She was left like a piece of luggage in the middle of the Atlanta airport with no one around. My mother was treated like a bag that someone did not want to carry around anymore. This situation and the selfishness of that employee makes me think of who else could have been treated like this, or who else could be treated like this in the future. Help me spread this message so that something can be done about this issue. Delta has already been contacted, they do not care enough to do anything about it. I bet they will if this message gets heard by their potential future passengers."

When I tried to reserve a special meal, each party (American, Iberia & airfare.com) said they could not do it, that the other party had to do it. So, in other words, no company took responsibility for my customer satisfaction. So I am ultimately blaming American Airlines accountable since they, not Iberia or airfare.com, contracted with the food service provider at the airport."

Cons: "The AA employee at the counter in Batoj Rouge informed me that I would miss my connection at Charlotte Airport due to a delayed in the incoming flight. Hebgave me the option to flight the next day or flight the same day, and after a 2 hour delay flight to Charlotte where I would be provided a hotel room and a meal for the night. I asked several times if that information was confirmed and he repeatedly said yes. At my arrival at Charlotte Airport (near midnight) every AA employee said that they did NOT have any more hotels. It was obvious that everything was a staged lie since over 100 people had to spend the night in one of the the terminals where we were provided a pillow and a blanket. I am terribly disappointed for the lack of transparency in AA. I was told my some friends that they also have had experiences like that at the same Charlotte Airport. You have damage once again your reputation and from no own in will expect THE WORST from AA."

Pros: "The entire crew pre-boarding and in flight were extremely friendly and nice and seemed to have a good raport with each other. The last time I flew, I took Frontier from LGA to Denver and the staff on Frontier's flight were very rude and dismissive towards passengers. It was so refreshing to fly American Airlines and be greeted with warmth and professionalism by the staff!"

When they finally fixed it I was excited to watch a movie like everyone else around me. However, my headphone jack in the armrest did not work properly. I thought it might have been my headphones but I tried two different pairs including the pair provided by the airline. I was only able to hear scratchy background noise but no words. This meant I had to go the entire flight with no movie or music. That was highly disappointing. I told the flight attendant about it and she reset my screen thinking that might be the problem but it did not help at all."

Cons: "Luthsansa sent the reminder 30 prior the flight that was a delay on the flight operated by United. I called customer service they do don’t helped and hanged up twice. Finally after waiting for an hour on the airport the same flight was change 4 times more. A manager in United got us in a different flight but we arrived 40 minutes later to Madrid and missed our connection to our other flight. I had to buy a one way expensive tickets because my connection was loss due to the issues with the FL rigth from Charlotte"

Cons: "Having some luggage crew at Dulles. We waited a long time on the tarmac to get our carryon bags. We had a short time to catch a connecting international flight. We had to run the length of D & C terminals to get to our connecting flight."

Cons: "Getting a partner airline, cancelled flight, missed intercontinental connecting flight, missing an important occasion, missing an entire day of vacation, no willingness to find more suitable outcomes."

Pros: "A FUN HAPPY TIME AS THE CHAPS WHO SAT EITHER SIDE OF ME WERE CHATTY AND HUMOROUS - THEY WERE HAPPY THAT COLUMBUS DAY WAS TO BE CELEBRATED THIS PAST MONDAY AND WHEN I TOLD THEM I WAS TO CELEBRATE CANADIAN THANKSGIVING WITH MY SON AND HIS AMERICAN WIFE AND THEIR 2 CHILDREN - WELL LET'S JUST SAY THE 3 HOURS OF THE FLIGHT FLEW BY. Pros: "The crew was very nice...the entertainment choices are very good...I appreciate the Mileage Plus Card perk of Preferred Boarding in Group 2...smaller plane with 2 seats allowed good leg room and my wife and I to sit together alone."
Cons: "You also ask us to rate food, but they do not provide food...what do we rate...the soda choices, the teeny bags of snack mix???"

Cons: "Our flight was delayed 1.5 hrs due to lack of communication, leading me to miss my connecting flight by minutes"

Pros: "There were empty seats and the very polite flight attendant offered for me to move without me having to ask."
Cons: "I arrived at my final destination and walked to baggage claim. I was just standing there waiting when a young girl walked by me in a uniform and said rudely and almost annoyed, "do you have a question". I replied that I was waiting on my bag. She then said these are it and I said so my bag has been lost? Without any empathy AT ALL she again, rudely and now most definitely annoyed said Do you have your bag tag? I said yes and she proceeded to walk away to a corner office. I assumed I was to follow. She took my tag, no communication at all from her, I said what are you doing and she replied I have to file a claim. She then proceeded to tell me that Newark Airport was horrible and never travel through there if I know what's good for me. This was extremely unprofessional. I was simply wanting some guidance from her on what to expect etc. I had to ask her what my next steps were. She handed me a flyer and said if I had any questions to call baggage information listed on the pamphlet. I left. The next day at about 1 p.m. I called the number and the update said my bag had left the airport and was out for delivery. Keep in mind that I had to work the next day after the airline losing my bag and had to purchase shower items etc due to them being in my lost bag. Portland jetport and my home address is less than 40 minutes apart, yet my bag did not arrive at my home until 8:30 p.m. and I'm also not confident it would have ever arrived because I called around 7 p.m. and spoke with someone who called the delivery service to ask their ETA. I paid $25 to check my bag and yet it was lost. What did I pay for?! If I can help it, I will NEVER fly United again and I'll be certain to tell everyone I know about my experience with this airline."

Cons: "There was a delayed my flight, arrived late, delayed in the plane getting off, nothing but delays."

Cons: "For the price I paid, it was a terrible seat, no room with 2 people sitting on either side."

Pros: "She was very understanding to my 37 minute layover in Denver and upgraded me to seat row 11 from seat row 31 to make sure I could get off the plane quicker. Very much appreciated and why I always fly United with my MilagePlus card. I had been on vacation for a week and had to be at work the next day."

Cons: "These morning flights are often late. And they don't change the departure time on the app until after takeoff. Shows I time until you land. Very tough to schedule meetings around."

Cons: "This flight was cancelled and the later flights to Portland were all full, so I was offered a flight to Boston instead, with no refund for the bus ticket from Boston to Portland, and of course my bag did not arrive with me."

Cons: "I flew to Charlotte, NC last week from Houston with my husband for a funeral. The flight there went smoothly and we used the United app to check in and get our boarding passes. When it came time to check in for our flight home my husband was able to get his boarding pass, but they said mine was unavailable. Obviously concerned I called United. After being on hold for over an hour I was able to speak to a representative. I was told that I hadn't show up for my flight to Charlotte... so they had canceled the returning flight. Not only was I on that flight my boarding pass was scanned twice (one at security and once during boarding). The representative then told me to go to the airport the next day and "try" to explain what happened. I don't know if this was some sort of glitch in the system, but I was very concerned and upset that someone could be on a flight with no record of them being on the plane... and that I was having to spend 2 hours trying to figure out if I could go home after a very stressful day... during a time when I should have been with my family. The next day I had to show up the the airport extra early while the representative there tried to figure out how to reactivate my ticket. Overall, an awful experience... I don't think I will be flying with United again anytime soon."

Pros: "Crew was fantastic, went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction with every aspect of my flight."
Cons: "My vehicle keys were removed from my checked luggage requiring to pay extensively to have a locksmith come to the airport the next day to create new keys. I slept in the parking lot due to the fact the locksmith could only open the doors and could not cut new electronic keys until morning. I am extremely enraged over this incident. I know the keys were contained in this article due to the fact that the Keychain was left on top, without keys. I could not imagine why someone would remove these keys from my Keychain that holds only those keys. I would like to hear your openion on the matter. Thanks, Alexander Kruse"

Pros: "Great flight from Washington to GrandRapids! We flew into GRR on a evening where there was a winter storm advisory and had a smooth trip all the way. United had a very good pilot and crew that evening."

Pros: "This was my first flight ever and my fears never arrived due to the kindness and care given me on the the first flight and the second. Thank you for keeping this grandmother safe on her first venture in air travel."

Pros: "The first leg of our trip started late and we were parked on the tarmac waiting for a departure gate. Once we were allowed to depart we had the desk at that gate radio ahead. After sprinting to the connecting flight they stated they had already stopped boarding even though we were five minutes earlier then departure time. We had to take another flight in the morning ended up costing a days worth of time and a lot of extra expense."

Pros: "Able to book me on a nonstop with American Airlines...which was NOT ridiculously understaffed. Flying Americsn next time! And the lost baggage claim guys for American in Cleveland are the best!!!!!!!"
Cons: "The flight was delayed so I would've missed my connecting flight. They didn't switch my bag so it was lost. United never gave out luggage ID stickers in Charlotte....seriously."

Pros: "Although it was a new airliner to United, it had noticeable more legroom than the Airbus aircraft that other airlines use. Luggage room for your carryon was ok, though not near as convenient as the Boeing's."
