Cons: "Late taking off. Late arriving. Tiny plane, no entertainment system, took everyone's carryon. Had to wait to get carryon back."
Pros: "Crew is amazing!"
Cons: "The Plane!"
Pros: "Most of the crew was great with the exception of curbside check-in in Denver."
Cons: "Curbside needs to stop chasing cash tips and do their jobs. If they focused on that tips would be easy to come by. The curbside attendant that took my bag didn’t even bother to check my id. He asked me my name and asked where my destination was. I told him Cincinnati as a layover then LaGuardia where he said that was wrong. He then proceeded to print a boarding pass that wasn’t mine and load my bag into the conveyor. Not 5 mins go by when I realize what happened I wound up having to go to special services to rectify the situation. Which ultimately consisted of me waiting another hour in LaGuardia to get my bag. Please delta have these curbside handlers actually want to do their job and stop chasing cash tips."
Cons: "We PAID $30/each to check 2 bags, both ways, so $120 total. Then at the gate, BOTH WAYS, Delta Gate Reps allowed people to check bags for FREE, & pick up at bag claim, just like WE PAID TO DO. NO MORE DELTA FOR US!"
Cons: "Seats could have been more comfortable. No space. Food made me sick."
Pros: "Seats were comfortable."
Cons: "We didn’t get offered a snack or drink."

Pros: "Nobody was amazing. First Class Crew didn’t really care and there were only 6 of us up there."
Cons: "I was offered one during. They didn’t have spicy Bloody Mary mix. Tired to pass off a drink with plain tomato juice which was horrible. When my wife sent it back they didn’t offer her anything else."
Cons: "They left without us. They could have waited a few minutes knowing we were on a delayed flight but didn't. They actually left early."
Pros: "There was plenty of space under the seat in front of me for my personal items."
Cons: "There was an issue with a part on the plane so the flight was delayed so it could get fixed before takeoff. That is not a big deal, I'd rather it be safe than on time. But the way crew and staff handled it was pretty unprofessional. No one seemed to know what was going on or what to do."

Pros: "Yes, everything was comfortable and the individual screens with current movies kept the kids occupied with minimal interruptions!"
Cons: "Honestly, while it would always be nice to have a little more leg room. I would like to fly a little more conveniently though as the back of the legs near the knees always gets pressure and cause swelling. Some form of foot rest with a stand might alleviate some of the pressure and ankle swelling."

Pros: "The Flight Personnel was extremely helpful and kind."

Pros: "This was a redeye flight that was very smooth."
Cons: "I had an aisle seat and a male flight attendant kept going up and down the aisle bumping my shoulder. If I were a big person I could understand the bumping. He was wider than the aisle. At last count he bumped me 7 times while I was trying to get some sleep on this 5 hour redeye flight. I was going to confront him on his next trip but finally fell asleep before then."

"Delayed for 2.5 hours, ending up awitching planes. As we left Charlotte at 0035, no services were offered. It was not a full flight."
"Older plane. I have never EVER had a problem with seat belt length (I need to lose some weight but I am not excessively large) but my seat had a very short one - looked like it needed replacing."
"We were delayed for 2 hours and 30 mins. Ridiculous"
Pros: "The seat was comfortable for a change must be a different plane"
Pros: "The crew was friendly. The boarding process was very efficient. On-time departure and arrival. Check in process and baggage handling were exceptional."

Pros: "Bast trips!!"
Cons: "Evriting is good!!!"
Pros: "It was a horrible experience"
Cons: "Everything could have been better especially the staff"
Pros: "Flight to DC was good, on time, clean, pleasant crew, etc. And the flight back was mostly good, with exception of the booking and boarding issue."
Cons: "My TSA information was included in the flight to DC, but apparently omitted from the system for the return trip. This forced me to go through the non-TSA precheck even though I have paid for and am a known traveler. The flight was also late and making it later still, was the gate having to plead for passengers to check their bags as a way to avert the airline’s overbooking it in the first place."
Pros: "The prices were low and the crew was great. A lot of entertainment options, also!"
Cons: "Boarding was rather disorganized"
Pros: "I was able to sleep on the late night flight"
Cons: "Can’t think of anything"

Cons: "Everything from communication to compensation"
Pros: "With all that is going on the flight was as good as it could be. Crew were professional. Short flight."
Pros: "I like that all the chairs have working electric charger. Other airlines probably have this but it is important for me and they have this."
Cons: "No comments"
Pros: "The pilot gave all the information pleasantly. It was easy to find my seat and everyone was compliant with COVID-19 rules/restrictions."
Cons: "Boarding process could’ve been a bit quicker. There should be free accessible WiFi for everyone."
Cons: "If they can’t serve beverages. Can we be allowed o e water bottle through security?"
Pros: "Seats were comfortable"
Cons: "No beverages! I should be able to purchase a can of beer! I am willing to pay the outrageous cost of $8 for one can and still not able to do that! Ridiculous and I believe they are using the virus excuse to save money !"
Pros: "No and no"
Cons: "The plane could have been maintained. Instead I sat for three hours and was told the mechanics didn’t have the equipment to fix the plane"
Cons: "Did not communicate delays. Boarding was all at once without special needs people first No communication with passengers about delays at the gate."
Cons: "All was good."
Cons: "Of course. EMPATHY"
Cons: "American isn’t my preferred airline for obvious reasons (delays, notoriously bad service, old planes, and a lack of amenities like WiFi and tv’s), but now I’ll never spend my money with them again. They took me off an already delayed flight after I’d already boarded to examine my smart bag. I know that lithium batteries can’t be taken in the underbelly of the plane and I knew my bag would likely be checked at the gate (why I removed the battery and left it at home in the first place). When they asked me if I had a lithium battery in my bag I said “no.” They then gate checked the bag and allowed me on the plane. After everyone had been boarded (half an hour after we’d been scheduled to take off) they then called my name out on the speaker. I had to then de-board the plane and re-explain to staff that there was no lithium battery in my bag. The staff didn’t believe me citing the infallible logic: “there are ports so there’s a battery.” I told them again and again that the battery had been removed and the charging ports—while there—were inert as they weren’t attached to the battery. STILL, I had to remove all of my clothes from the bag, and open every single compartment (of which there were many) for them to allow me to get back onto the plane. They were telling me that they might have to “rebook the flight” if my bag couldn’t get on. I don’t think I need to explain how agitated/terrified that made me."
Cons: "The flight was delayed for over 2 hours because of a reported maintenance issue with the aircraft but was originally delayed because of not having flight attendants available. When the flight attendants did finally arrive they all had an attitude of wishing to be anywhere but on this flight. The lead flight attendant even got into a verbal altercation with the gate agent demanding help getting people's bags into the overhead compartment because she was "injured" & not supposed to be at work. All in all a quite dissatisfying experience but not an uncommon one with this airline & this airport. I will use both only when I have absolutely no other options."
Cons: "Because our first flight was delayed over 4 hours we missed our connection and had to be re-booked on the only other flight that still had seats that day. We had previously booked and paid for Main Cabin extra seats in the second row that included extra leg room and free drinks. We ended in an airplane with two exit rows, one near the front and the other near the back. Our seats were right behind the rear exit row in the back of the plane. The seats did not recline and there was limited leg look because the exit row seats were aligned differently due to the crew seat next to the door. Also, the bathroom was right in front of the row in front of us and so it was busy, noisy and smelled. Obviously we didn't get our free drinks either. Now I'm having to fight with American trying to get a refund of the money we spent for the Main Cabin extra fees. The fun never stops. I will never fly American again."
Cons: "This was a connecting flight, and I arrived at the gate from American Airlines flight 2656 in plenty of time to make the connection. However 15 minutes after arriving at my designated gate it was announced that American Airline flight 4874 would be delayed for 15 minutes for maintenance, which was fine, I want the plane I am flying in to be in perfect working order. So the departure time went from 2:32 to 3:00, then it went from 3:00 to 4:01. Next, it was announced that there had been a gate change. Once we all arrived and the passengers had deplaned and it was announced we could board it was closing in on 4:30. Now once we were on the plane we sat for one and a half hours with no food or water. Finally, they announced that the flight attendant would be coming around with water which was poured from bottles into cups and cookies or pretzels, what, did the plane crash on a deserted island and I not know it? After more sitting, we finally took off, I arrived at my destination 4 hours later than planned. I think this could have been handled more efficiently, and with more aplomb than the standard "we apologize", that does nothing for me and my trip went from 1 hour to 4 with me finally arriving at the Roanoke airport at 6:45."
Pros: "Great crew again, basic aircraft but comfortable economy seats."
Pros: "I liked the entertainment. Seats were ultimately uncomfortable. Not helped by the backs being loose."
Cons: "in the airport, the gate area dirty!, bathrooms dirty, no place to charge phone. The walk to the airplane, getting aboard the plane after the gate and flight changed and delayed. Being told it was weather related on the plane and being told it was MAINTENANCE by customer service. The plane was very crowded, the flight attendants never smiled. WHen i told the attendant i was being "rained" on he said...i know its happening everywhere..... he said there was nothing he could do but get me paper towels...they never came. I was very annoyed getting off the plane walking back and forth....it was aweful. and my flight before this was no better i am VERY TURNED OFF BY AMERICAN AIRLINES RIGHT NOW."
Cons: "The gal at E terminal customer service in charlotte was rude and condescending as i asked if I could get on my original connecting flight that American Airlines had rescheduled since my first flight was delayed an hour and they thought I’d miss it. But we ended up landing earlier than expected so I went to the gate to see if I could get on my original early flight and she was rude and told me I can’t keep switching flights.....when I pointed out that AA had rebooked me she was like ok but you can’t keep switching flights. Then she yelled at the lady behind me who was trying to get to a hospital. -1 Service for AA"
Pros: "Legroom was great!"
Pros: "The help on getting on the plane and the pleasant staff on the flight"
Cons: "The food"
Pros: "Easy checking with great Customer Care. Made my trip enjoyable. Will use again in July..."
Cons: "This was a tiny aircraft from Charlotte to Savannah. Our bags were placed into "valet" for the flight. When I retrieved my bag, the handle was broken! Destroyed on a 1 hour flight. This is exactly why people don't like checking their bags. There is no care for other people's belongings. It's bag enough you're packed on these flights like sardines and then you have to worry about receiving your property back the way you gave it to them. Placed a claim, but meanwhile I had to purchase new luggage for my return trip."
Pros: "On time departure & arrival."
Cons: "My checked bag, which l paid $25.00 for, didn’t make it on the flight to Pittsburgh. It got there on another flight at 7:30 pm Monday night but no one from American Airlines did anything about trying to get it to me until 11:30 pm. As a result, while l stayed at a hotel only 30 miles from the airport, my bag wasn’t delivered until 2:00 am on Tues, more than 8 hours after l got there. And their website for supposedly checking on lost luggage, aa.com/bag status, is next to useless. It gives no useful information. Use the 800 # but state you want to talk with a human when answering the questions in their phone tree. I’ve had other experiences on AA over the last few years that lead me to question their commitment to customer service. I’ll be avoiding American Airlines as a travel option where other alternatives are available."
Pros: "The plane was newer, drinks are available. Seat only reclines half an inch or so so get ready for that."
Cons: "Crew on aa is the worst bunch of entitled fools, almost as horrendous as united."
Pros: "The flight personnel was upbeat and friendly and we were on time. I was very glad I made the connection"
Cons: "That we were not offered even water. I was very thirsty from my run from gates B 13 to Gate E25"
Cons: "Have to pay for wifi use. Entertainment used to be included in flights and was apart of your airfare."
Pros: "Flight was on time"
Cons: "Since we have an AAdvantage CitiCard and are AAdvantage members, it is disconcerting to have to claim your privilege of 1 free bag and priority boarding each time. This is embarrassing at the gate especially since it looks like we are cutting the line. What good is this "privilege" if you have to assert it every time or hold a credit card in hand with your carryon and boarding pass. This should be included in our ticketing at the time of purchase and upgraded on our boarding pass if we use the damn card for the purchase. It is now not a "privilege" but an inconvenience."
Pros: "The flight was delayed by more than two hours which caused us (me, wife, 4yo, and 7mo) to miss our connection from LAX to HNL. We had to stay the night in LA and take a morning flight to HNL. But despite the delay, the gate agent in Charlotte did a good job of updating people and remained very polite even when it was clear people were getting frustrated and starting to get sharp with him. Pilots did a good job of trying to make up as much time as possible. I can't remember how much time they shaved off but I think it was more than 20 minutes. Customer service in LA was solid too. Went to CSD to get our tickets changed. They had already changed our flight to a 8 AM flight. We asked if we could take a later flight because of the kids and he was able to accommodate. They also gave us vouchers for 3 meals and a night at the Holiday Inn. Having a delayed flight is never fun but the AA staff was amazing throughout."
Cons: "We did not get on this flight because AA's scheduled it 90 minutes after landing from an Int'l flight. Why don't airlines schedule a minimum 3hours between Int'l-domestic connections. half the plane was stressing and freaking out about missing their connection even though the plane landed on time. "AA is not responsible for customs/security delays". Well, your customer service agents would have a lot less work if you didn't have to reschedule 100 people per flight. The time the plane drives/parks at the gate, you get off the plane and make it through customs, get your bag, recheck it (if need be, we didn't this time though), get through security and get to your gate, you'll be the luckiest person in the world to do that in less than 90 minutes."
Cons: "I can't rate it because they canceled my entire itinerary without so much as an email. I did not take my flight to Wilmington via my original flight. I had to book another flight because the change fees were too expensive. I did not know that my return flight to Denver had been canceled until I was checking in a few hours before my flight. I was told my ticket had no value. Awesome! It really stings that I then had to book a new return flight, and because I am a teacher who makes about $23,000 a year, I had to book the cheapest flight, which was with American. I do not plan on giving them any of my hard-earned money in the future if I can help it."
Pros: "It was a fairly routine flight. Could use a more substantial snack for a four hour flight."
Cons: "While waiting for our baggage in Phoenix, we noticed a few random bags with tears, rips and clothes hanging out. Then we saw our suitcase. The zipper was torn away from the lining so that it no longer closes all the way. There items hanging out of the gap. What was happening in the basement that caused at least 4 damaged bags?"
Pros: "Chairs were very comfy and wider than some airlines."
Cons: "Crew not overly friendly and not very attentive, and there were lots of empty seats so there wasn't much excuse. Also, I had an issue with the plane. I think no screens on a cross-country flight is not good business. Not everyone is savvy with go-go inflight. And if there are no screens, could there at least be outlets? I was so tired after my Paris flight and wanted to chill with some go-go entertainment, but my battery was low and there were no outlets. I know not all flights can have these luxuries, but if the flight is over five hours, I think it should be better equipped."
Pros: "Crew on flight to Charleston was nice"
Cons: "I was supposed to make the trip from BNA to CHS at 2:30, we were delayed over 1.5 hours, making me miss this flight by 5 mins. Then I was put on 10pm flight which was cancelled! They couldn't get me to HHH until 6pm the following day. I would have missed my entire conference. The closest they could get me was a 10pm flight to charleston, then I had to rent (AND PAY FOR) a car and drive 2 hours to HHH in the middle of the night. The customer service people were less than helpful. They aren't allowed to help you make car reservation. My flight on the way back from HHH to BNA was a similar story. Thankfully my connecting flight was delayed an hour or there was no way I would have made it."
Pros: "I really like the crew on this flight, they were very polite and very friendly."
Cons: "Boarding again same comment as above. Comfort was good because I had paid for an upgrade which I actually thought I was paying for the international flight but found out it was actually for the Charlotte flight which was a surprise it was not very clear from the tool. So hence the Comfort was great on this flight. But the tool needs to make it much more clear as to what you are selecting the upgrade for. Food, there has got to be something else out there other than pretzels, I understand why we do not have peanuts, but a little bit more variety would be very nice. I understand there's a cost tractor, but often pretzels tend to be fairly stale. Short flights entertainment."
"No food…. : ( - we survived!"
Pros: "Complimentary First Class."
Cons: "Clean plane better"
Pros: "Decent crew"
Cons: "Seat pitch and comfort. Food utensils VERY flimsy"
Pros: "The customer service wait is extremely long especially when u get hung up on and start all over . But one man was very helpful in changing to accommodate me next day"
Pros: "Crew, snacks, entertainment"
Cons: "Delayed:( Seats were so hard"
Pros: "Crew did the best they could."
Cons: "Flight was repeatedly delayed and until it became impossible to make my connection. Everything is rebooked and I haven’t left yet."
Cons: "Luthsansa sent the reminder 30 prior the flight that was a delay on the flight operated by United. I called customer service they do don’t helped and hanged up twice. Finally after waiting for an hour on the airport the same flight was change 4 times more. A manager in United got us in a different flight but we arrived 40 minutes later to Madrid and missed our connection to our other flight. I had to buy a one way expensive tickets because my connection was loss due to the issues with the FL rigth from Charlotte"
Cons: "The inflight entertainment kept dropping out so I couldn’t watch anything."
Pros: "Flight was comfortable."
Cons: "Having some luggage crew at Dulles. We waited a long time on the tarmac to get our carryon bags. We had a short time to catch a connecting international flight. We had to run the length of D & C terminals to get to our connecting flight."
Cons: "Getting a partner airline, cancelled flight, missed intercontinental connecting flight, missing an important occasion, missing an entire day of vacation, no willingness to find more suitable outcomes."
Pros: "Crew was very nice and professional"
Cons: "The seats in coach were very hard with almost no padding. The a/c didn't work well and it was very warm to the point I was sweating."
Pros: "Quick boarding early takeoff."
Cons: "Learning I had to check my bag in at the gate, due to plane size and no room in cabin for roll-ons."
Pros: "Plenty of room, great cabin service"
Cons: "Plane was way late, several gate changes had me chasing my tail in Chicago...and that is not a friendly airport for incoming international flights on a good day."
Pros: "Didn't die..."
Cons: "Flight delayed, otherwise the seats were the same as all other planes I've been on. Not sure how you differientiate a consistiently bad experience between the 5 or 6 airlines that are left. Our expectations are now so low that if an airline Employee smiles at us we give their employer 5 stars. We should probably find a better way to rate the cable companies and airlines in our lives."
Pros: "Crew was nice."
Cons: "Some travelers was not good."
Pros: "Free entertainment was great, but needed to download adobe flash which I recommend before getting on the flight."
Cons: "The small seats and the pay for food selection. I’ve gotten spoiled on international airlines where they provide food and drinks(alcoholic beverages too) for free."
Pros: "The leg from Denver to vegas was awesome"
Cons: "The first leg didn't have any snacks and a cold continental breakfast. American and Delta's breakfast is much nicer. But worth the price for that portion of the leg."
Pros: "Seat 7 A on this type of aircraft - and United's configuration - had the most leg room and space, esp. when the seat next to you is empty. The flight crew was friendly and great!"
Cons: "Boarding gates/ area in Denver airport for these small aircraft was almost as bad as a bus station! Crowded and most cramped/ uncomfortable. Denver United staff at customer service center was most unhelpful, unsympathetic and dismissive about the fact that in spite of a flight delay that completely their fault (no weather delay), which made me miss the memorial service for my friend's daughter - my main purpose for visiting Cincinnati - they refused to even give me a patient hearing much less consider my request to try and put me on a different flight!"
Cons: "Flight massively delayed. Missed my connection. And the next flight. If they had called ahead at the gate would have made the next one, instead had to sleep in the airport overnight."
Cons: "The plane was so old that it just seemed like it should be retired. My flight was also delayed 45 minutes. They made passengers get off the plane because of a weight restriction it was absurd that my luggage took 40 minutes to come off the plane"
Cons: "Our flight from Charlotte to Chicago was horrible!!! It felt as if a trainee was flying our plane. Landing was so bad that I threw my feet onto the back of the seat in front of me to brace myself for landing."
Cons: "Our flight was delayed 1.5 hrs due to lack of communication, leading me to miss my connecting flight by minutes"
Pros: "The crew was amazing. I was traveling alone with an infant and since the flight wasn't full, the ticketing agent moved seats around and gave me an entire row! It was so nice to have the extra space with all my things and to get up freely when needing to change my sons diaper. There was also a changing table in the bathroom which was much needed."
Pros: "We ultimately landed safely."
Cons: "The flight was 40 minutes late on departure and arrival. The front landing gear was not functioning properly so we circled the airport to have the tower verify whether the landing gear was down. In the meantime the flight attendant prepared us for an emergency landing with our hands crossed in front of us. It was the scariest flight I've ever taken."
Pros: "Courteous attendants and overall great flight"
Cons: "The mixed trail mix, honestly that's all :)"
Pros: "Boarding went smoothly."
Cons: "AgainThe person next to me was so obese she needed two extenqders. She was taking up her seat and most of her neighbors, she was in the middle. I was literally pinned against the aisle arm rest. It was a full flight and I wasn't able to be moved. For the entire flight I was cramped and pinned with no where to go."
Cons: "Because of plane problems I had to wait until the next day to fly home. Very inconvenient."
Pros: "Flight attendants were friendly."
Cons: "The most uncomfortable seat I have ever ridden on a flight. My back and posterior were in pain for over a day after the flight. Terrible treatment of passengers to pack a few more people in like cattle. Thinnest seats I have ever seen that felt and looked like hard plastic. This was an Embraer 175 jet...will never fly on one of these again. Had a hard landing in excellent weather. Flew the same route back to Charlotte on an American Airlines A320...these seats were comfortable and the landing was smooth even with a 20mph crosswind."
Pros: "Quick and easy boarding process; no lingering trying to sit."
Cons: "We waited for a while to depart; I believe that's customary dealy for Charlotte Douglas now, so not a sole reflection of United."
Pros: "Ease of security and boarding. Friendly and accommodating staff. No concerns at all."
Pros: "Despite weather delay, the flight crew was very energetic and in a positive mood."
Pros: "No long waits. Smooth travel."
Pros: "The flight attendants were great."
Cons: "My flight was late and I missed my connecting flight. The next flight I got put on was delayed several times. I'm in the military and I was late checking into my command."
Pros: "Very friendly staff! Hello's and goodbye's and asked if anyone needed anything several times"
Cons: "Young flight attendant, with dark hair, red lips, and glasses, was kind of rude. I am a small woman and had issues getting my bag in the overhead bin. There was a line forming and she stared at me until I asked for help. She just seemed really annoyed."
Pros: "Overall flight was Okay. United has been my favorite airline since 1971. "Fly The Friendly Skies of United""
Cons: "Very tight seating My wife said it seamed as though the lavitory hadn't been cleaned in a month. I didn't use it though."
Pros: "Everything went smooth."
Pros: "Found what was expected from the flight. Hats up to the take off that happened on time in a busy airport."
Cons: "Aircraft is tiny and seats are narrow."
Pros: "While waiting for the flight the agent kept us informed of the status by use of a speaker - said plane just landed and once passengers get off they will get us on board - he also took control and told people that wanted to be first in line to get on board to step aside and clear the way for passengers to get off the plane - pilot let us know we would land around 25 minutes early in Chicago so we were informed - then he explained why we had to sit and wait for a gate at O'hara"
Cons: "I didn't like that I couldn't take my rolling luggage with me cause it was a small plane and there wasn't the overhead room - then I had to wait afterwards around 15 minutes to get my luggage but the price for the flight was low and they were organized in how it was handled -"
Cons: "Departing from Charlotte was delayed more than 2 hours made it to Dallas in time for the connection to San Francisco, then that flight was delayed 3 hours. I was originally scheduled to arrive at 9:46 pm but arrived around 1:00 am. This has been happening more frequently on flights on United."
Pros: "The flight itself was very convenient and quick."
Cons: "We were delayed and sitting on the plane for almost 4 hours and were left with few explanations. The crew was not friendly."
Cons: "I got to the airport 40 minutes early. The flight was out at 6:20, I was there by 5:40. They did not let me print out a boarding pass. I could see the gate from the security line and the security line was EMPTY. There was no reason for them not to let me get on the plane, but they ended up scheduling me for a flight to Denver with the connecting flight in the morning- delaying my trip 24 hrs and charging me an extra 125$!!! I ended up paying an extra 85$ to American and was able to get to PHX that afternoon! The ladies at United were straight up RUDE too. When I told the lady at the counter my name she rolled her eyes."
Cons: "Multiple delays and gate changes; chaotic boarding; shabby plane condition (bathroom looked held together with duct tape)."
Cons: "There was a delayed my flight, arrived late, delayed in the plane getting off, nothing but delays."
Pros: "The snack"
Cons: "For the price I paid, it was a terrible seat, no room with 2 people sitting on either side."
Cons: "Boarding went quickly but then waited almost 35 minutes on the plane to take off. Once the plane landed there was again a wait to pull into the gate. Spent more time waiting on the plane than the flight itself."
Pros: "Flights were on time..."
Cons: "Complimentary wifi was on the fritz"
Pros: "The boarding staff in the airport were excellent and very helpful. Wish I would have got the gate attendant name because she was great. There was a 30 minute delay for departure due to a maintenance issue but we arrived in Cincinnati only 10 minutes late."
Cons: "The aircraft was very cramped and uncomfortable the seats were terrible. The flight crew was being very unprofessional laughing and giggling while giving the mandatory safety instructions. The pilots did a great job getting us to Cincinnati only 10 minutes late after 30 minute delay in DC"
Cons: "I flew to Charlotte, NC last week from Houston with my husband for a funeral. The flight there went smoothly and we used the United app to check in and get our boarding passes. When it came time to check in for our flight home my husband was able to get his boarding pass, but they said mine was unavailable. Obviously concerned I called United. After being on hold for over an hour I was able to speak to a representative. I was told that I hadn't show up for my flight to Charlotte... so they had canceled the returning flight. Not only was I on that flight my boarding pass was scanned twice (one at security and once during boarding). The representative then told me to go to the airport the next day and "try" to explain what happened. I don't know if this was some sort of glitch in the system, but I was very concerned and upset that someone could be on a flight with no record of them being on the plane... and that I was having to spend 2 hours trying to figure out if I could go home after a very stressful day... during a time when I should have been with my family. The next day I had to show up the the airport extra early while the representative there tried to figure out how to reactivate my ticket. Overall, an awful experience... I don't think I will be flying with United again anytime soon."
"Seats and leg room very uncomfortable."
"Nice and comfortable flight! Ontime Landing!"
"For a budget airline company, it was a very good experience. Flight boarded promptly & even arrived 15 minutes early at my destination"
Cons: "Better prepared crew. Flight delayed due to not having a flight attendants."
Pros: "On time. Boarding easy and organized. Crew were nice."
Cons: "No drinks at all to "minimize contact". A bottle of water would have been nice."
Pros: "The crew was great and flight was on time."
Cons: "I believe you just can't substitute comfort for price and Frontier is not comfortable at all. And also for it to be a pandemic to my surprise the middle seat wasn't left open."
Pros: "I made it to my destination"
Cons: "It’s Frontier so it’s not supposed to be amazing. Not having to pay for a drink of water would have been nice though.."
Cons: "No food or beverage supposedly due to covid yet we're all in the flying tube together with the recirculated air."
Cons: "No problems. Just a tough time to fly."
Pros: "The cheap price of the flight."
Cons: "The flight attendant took my bag out of the overhead compartment and made me check it. It was the same bag I used flying to Florida and did not have any issues with it. She insisted it was too big. I told her it obviously fit just fine because she took it out easily and that it was regulation size and weight. I was not happy at all. I paid to sit up front and get on first to put my bag in the overhead compartment for a reason! I’ve used this bag several times with no issues. I spent an extra 35 minutes trying to get my bag and leave the airport that I didn’t have to spare. She had no regard for incredible inconvenience it caused me."
Cons: "An on time flight. Getting enough fuel for the flight before leaving the gate then realizing we didn’t have enough fuel for the flight plan."
Pros: "Only thing I liked about the trip was how fast I got seated and how fast I got off."
Cons: "The pilot didn’t even introduce himself like most airlines do. The seats didn’t recline, there’s no WiFi which I understand it’s a cheap flight but with no blankets no comfort in the seat it makes it hard to relax. And the flight crew didn’t even smile while handing out food and beverage."
Pros: "I had never used Frontier till today and I have to say for being a discount Airline I was impressed. The flight boarding was quick, the seats were the same size as a normal airline in coach.....while I did not pay for a reclining seat I was comfortable for the 1.5 hour flight. I packed a bag that met the personal item size maximum and was not hit with any other fees. I actually found that the service was good and other passengers were friendly......probably because everyone was so happy that they didn’t overpay for the flight. I’ll definitely book again!"
Pros: "The Flight crew did a good job and the price for the flight was good"
Cons: "The flight to phoenix was 2 hours late due to issues getting the plane to Cincinnati it happens no big deal. However the flight coming back from Phoenix to Cincinnati took off on time and landed early but when we landed it took over an hour to get our bags initially there was a storm that held them up but after the storm other flights were getting there bags but not frontier and when we finally for a representative she was very rude and provided no answers as to what the problem was she just said the ramp is closed and stormed off. I will be contacting the cooperate office regarding this."
Pros: "Price reflects service and experiwnce, but is cheap"
Cons: "Just before I left for LaGuardia airport terminal C, Kayak sent a push that my moms terminal was changed to d. I took her to D. They said she needed to be at terminal C to get her boarding pass. It took me ten minutes to circle LaGuardia to get back to terminal c, at which pointANOTHER push popped up that said her flight was in terminal D. I live in NYC so can get myself around, but kayaks pushes were infuriating as I am traveling with a wheelchair guest and your System is sending out the INCORRCT information. You almost caused my mom to miss her flight, which would have been very bad for medical Reasons."
Cons: "Second time in a row we've waited in excess of 30 min for luggage at the carousel"
Cons: "I appreciate the inexpensive fares but flying with frontier feels like a second class experience. On a red eye they turned the lights back on to sell is credit cards which felt disruptive of the possibility of sleep and the stewardesses were quite sharp with their directions for the patroness. I found this to be an uncomfortable and slightly disrespectful flying experience. If I have to pay a bit more next time to not feel this way it will be well worth the money."
Cons: "Frontier had 2 flights out of FLL all day. 1st scheduled to leave at 10am to Trenton. Our's to Cincy at 4. Trenton put passengers in and they sat on the tarmac back the APU was broke (essentially plane's starter). Then people finally were able to get off the plane. Meanwhile, our flight to Cincy couldn't leave because the airport wouldn't let us use a different gate! Apparently, Frontier wasn't paying what the City wanted so we sat there waiting for over 6 hours though our plane was at a different part of the airport waiting on is, we couldn't board and leave!!!"
Cons: "I cancelled my flight a week before the time of departure they said that it'll cost me $99 to cancel the flight and $86.45 was supposed to be refunded. the lady told me it will take 7 to 10 business days when I called 3 days later on the 10th day I called and the gentleman told me that I don't get a refund I get a credit of the $86.45 that I can use to October 7th to use on any flight. My problem with that is I don't fly often and I had to cancel that due to my job. I feel that if I cancel a flight way in advance before the flight is being departed I should be able to get my refund back I'm sorry to say it is but I would never use this airline company again because if I knew that the first time. I wouldn't have done it. Oh I also found out because I keep getting updates from kayak of the flight that the flight was supposed to been I believe was 8:30 p.m. but due to rain it didn't leave Philadelphia Pennsylvania until around 11:45 p.m. so I'm kind of glad now I didn't go because my family member who I was going to visit would have been very upset because they had to stay up an extra 4 hours and they had to go to work the next morning."
Pros: "all staff were, very nice and polite to everyone and the plane was almost full"
Cons: "I was unable to download the ticket of my minor age 14 child so on arrival at the airport I told the bag check person he gave us a copy of our ticket for boarding as I showed him we had checked in already but could not see his ticket we were TSA pre checked went on to that area with line I went first using my app boarding pass but they would not let the child in saying his, ticket was not present checked TSA but it was when i checked him in,so we had to go through a 45 + min line a second time. very inconvenient almost making us late for flight."
Pros: "After reading a number of the negative responses posted by of other travelers I went back and looked at the initial booking: dates, times, upgrades and fares for our two round trip tickets. I can only explain the difference in our positive experience and their bad ones in that by making my initial choices on those specific dates and times and that by choosing to purchase the upgrade we had a good outcome. It’s the business model, if you use a site like Kayak use the filters. If you choose the lowest price as your default you get what you pay. Actually, about a week prior to our round trip my wife had flown to San Diego one-way and that one-way ticket actually cost her about $3 more on a different carrier than both of our two round trip tickets combined (before the upgrades) on Frontier. Had I been stuck in the back of the plane, in a middle seat, without priority “zone 1” boarding and had I been surprised with having to pay extra for both our checked and carry-on baggage at the counter I would not have been a happy camper either. I guess if you start out the process by only looking for the (best/ lowest?) price, then it comes down to this; what is more painful, paying for the upgrades or the hell of the cattle car."
Cons: "I tried numerous times hours before my flight to check-in using the fly frontier website. It never worked. I arrived at the airport an hour and a half early. With bus delays, I walked up to the ticket counter at 9:24pm to retrieve my ticket. Flight leaves at 10:00pm. The attendant tells me I missed my flight by 9min because you have to check in at least 45min early and that there was no way I could board. I asked if the plane had already left, he said that it had not. No good answer as to why I couldn't be accommodated. I explained my qualms about the online check-in but it was pointless. I had to fly with another airline which costs me $367.00 to book. Terrible customer service and no leeway or understanding whatsoever."
Cons: "There was a lag time from when we boarded and when we departed and there was no reason given for the delay. Unfortunately we also experienced a lot of turbulence during the flight (no one's fault) but our almost two year old ended up getting sick and neither seat back pocket had any bags. Luckily the lady next to my husband had brought her own and gave them to us. We were in the back of the plane and asked for a trash bag and or napkins and they ignored us at first. My husband and I tried to stay positive and laughed pretty much the whole time because these things happen. The crew didn't help us until decent (about 20 minutes later) and seemed upset that some got on the floor as they were complaining that they would need to use a special cleaning agent. Our son was such a trooper and wasn't fussy or crying. His stomach just couldn't handle the turbulence. The only positive about our flight we're the wonderful passengers sitting around us!"
Pros: "Nothing at all."
Cons: "The outbound flight was delayed only three hours. The return flight was delayed three hours, after which we boarded and waited. After another hour we taxied to the runway and returned. I am grateful we did not take off with a defunct left-engine. We taxied back to the airport and de-planed--but only after being instructed not to talk to the other passengers. (Really.) The flight was not cancelled, even when the plane was towed to the hangar. Finally, after six hours, Frontier offered a refund--as they had no interest in placing us on another airline that was going to the same destination. I rented a car and drove from Charlotte to Philadelphia to retrieve my own car from the airport so I could arrive home 15 hours after my scheduled arrival. Frontier couldn't care less. NEVER again."
Cons: "The seats were very uncomfortable and didn't recline. The tray tables were very small. I don't like the come-on with low advertised fares and then additional charges for everything. This was my first time on Frontier and I won't fly it again."
Pros: "Comfortable flight"
Cons: "I was late getting to the airport. Im not from here so i endend up at st petes airport. Got to Tampa and Still had 30 minutes before departure and they wouldn't let me check in said they were almost boarded and i missed my flight. So i asked for a refund of at least some of my money and they said with the rebooking fee it would be what the ticket cost. Worst airline i have ever dealt with. I had just moved down here and the whole trip was for me to be able to visit my kids. Never again will i book a flight with this shitty airline"
Pros: "It's pretty difficult to pick out what I liked about the airline, other than the originally "cheap" flight costs – but those increased by $55 by the time I actually took off from the airport."
Cons: "The policies for this airline aren't well known at all, and it's ridiculous they would think I'd be aware that they charge for a carry-on bag, charge to move seats up front the ridiculous back seats they slot you, and there is no wifi! I even had to pay $3 for a small can of Seltzer Water! I will never ever fly this airline again. Also, the seats were incredible uncomfortable and the tray isn't an actual tray you can utilize, so I sat with my computer in my lap (uncomfortably) the entire time. Everything was sticky and smelled bad, from the tray to the seats to the seat belts. Again – never flying Frontier again!"
Cons: "They cancelled my flight outright less than 12 hours before it was scheduled to take off and informed me the earliest I could get to my destination was a flight 48 hours later. I had a job interview the next day and grad school starting the day afterward, so I had to spend $500 to book a flight on a different airline in order to get back in time. Worst travel experience ever. I will never fly Frontier again and will encourage all of my contacts to never use them."
Pros: "The fast and friendly services."
Cons: "The seats were very uncomfortable, but remember it's a budget flight so it's normal."
Cons: "We waited a hour for people who were late. Then we didn't have a gate when we got to DIA because we were so late. Ended up being 2hrs late due to late comers. Not very considerate for those who were on time."
Cons: "Three days before christmas on 12-22-16, Frontier cancelled our flight last minute from Phoenix to Cincinnati. I was traveling with two small children. The only option we had to get home was to pay $2200 for 3 one-way Delta tickets. Now I'm in the process of trying to get $1800 dollars back. Frontier initially told me those who bought tickets from another airline could get $600 for every ticket purchased. I have submitted everything requested and now am receiving emails that there is no guarantee I will be reimbursed. Frontier better do what is right and reputable. Customers don't deserve to be treated this way."
Cons: "Flight 736 was delayed multi times. From me coming into Cincinnati at 6:58 pm on December 19 to arriving the next morning December 20 at 1:20 am is unacceptable. The two people at the desk were very unfriendly and kept changing their stories. They said that they were waiting on the crew because the plane had landed and we were staring at it since noon. Now I know the hub is in Denver so why wouldn't they have a crew on hand? The pilot was there because he would come in and out of the plane area to the waiting area. So they blamed it on the stewardess. When we finally got to go on board we were not moving. Bags not on board, no fuel, weight not right. It was one thing after another. It was the flight that was unacceptable. My name is Anne"
Cons: "My flight was a very early morning flight scheduled to depart at 6:25AM. After parking my car in the long term place, the driver was a bit slow and I arrived at the counter at 5:45AM. There was a line of people for the next flight. So I went straight to the lady at the counter and said my flight would leave shortly. Can you please take care of my check in. Her name is Carol. She was extremely rude and unprofessional. She basically brushed me off by saying you are too late for your flight. I said I still have 40 minutes and if you can check me in I can still avail my flight. She didn't even bother to listen to me and asked me to stand on the side and when she would be done with other passengers then she would listen to me. I couldn't wait because my brother was having a surgery the same day in LA for which I was flying and my brother was alone. Unless I arrived on time, they wouldn't even do the surgery and he would then suffer more. So I rushed to the Delta counter and found a flight that would allow me to arrive in LA on time. I had to pay full price to Delta to buy a complete new ticket and thus I availed my journey to LA from Cincinnati. I couldn't use Frontier flight. I used it only when I was returning from LA and didn't use the Delta flight for my return journey. It ended up wasting so much extra money that I wish I didn't have to. After buying ticket from Delta I once again returned to Frontier counter since I had time available now. By this time the Frontier counter was empty. Another lady who was at the counter, she actually witnessed what just happened a few minutes ago with me and she said she was sorry. She said Carol could have easily accommodated me. She gave me a piece of printed information that says "To File a compliment or Complaint". I called that number but that was an invalid number though it redirected me to the correct number. The person who took the call, listened but did nothing. I am totally upset with your handling. And oh yes, during my return I noticed so many fellow passengers were being harassed in a similar way at the LA airport. There is price they were being asked to pay for everything including a particular seat of their choice. How ridiculous. I will never avail Frontier service in the future again unless my issue is paid proper attention to and resolved satisfactorily."
Pros: "Everything went smoothly and on time"
Cons: "Having flown multiple times on Frontier, I find it odd that you never hear anything from the cockpit. Like: Welcome passengers. estimated time in flight, crusing altitude, estimated arrival time, weather at destination, starting decent, etc. Of course, as an ex-military and corporate aviation pilot, the more I know the more comfortable and connected I feel."
Cons: "I had to wait over an hour to get my bag at the San Francisco airport"
Pros: "The staff on the flight were very friendly"
Cons: "The takeoff time for the flight seemed to be delayed by people trying to fight over overhead carryon space. There isn't much the airline could do. I spoke with customer service on the phone multiple times on the flight regarding various issues. They were able to help on about half of them. Response time was extremely long and trying to get a hold of someone was nearly impossible (When through a bunch of prompts to discuss issues with a computer instead of a real person. Yes I tried pressing "0" every chance I could to be redirected)"
Cons: "5 days before my flight I went on Frontiers website to buy a seat. I had picked 3A because it allowed me more leg room and a reclining seat. I stand 6' tall! I was gladly to pay the extra cost for the extra comfort. I was having trouble with their website so I ended up calling customer service to complete my transaction. The customer service person said he completed my transaction and seat assignment and would send me a confirmation, soon. The night before my flight, my confirmation finally arrived with the wrong seat. My seat had been changed to the bulkhead with no leg room at all. My original set was sold to someone else. I feel this was very unfair and I should receive a refund. I ended up moving into a row that didn't recline but it had and area under the seat in front of me to at least stretch out a little. Those seats were less expensive. I should have received what I paid for and nothing less!!!!!!"
Pros: "Initial fares are quite low."
Cons: "But most are surprised that all bags are charged a fee, carry-ons as well. For a flight for two, the additional $70-80 USD PLUS fees for food and huge fees to change balance out the fares. You just can't calculate these costs at the TIME OF DECISION. So then you are left with sub-par service and the same net costs as with a major airline. Also, luggage took over an hour to show p in Denver from Cincy. When trying to take a personal trip this time costs your satisfaction. A pain to fl both directions."
Pros: "The employees were nice."
Cons: "The line at the airport to drop off my luggage (which was prepaid) was crazy long as most people had not prepaid and some were trying to pay with cash (which Frontier does not accept). Even tho I had my boarding pass printed and luggage paid for I waited almost an hour in this line - and I arrived 2 hours 1/2 early. After arriving in Cincinnati the luggage took at least 40 minutes to arrive at the pick up point. On my outward bound trip to Orlando the luggage took over an hour to arrive at the luggage carousel. It seems that Frontier does not have a good rapport with the baggage handlers at the airports."
Pros: "The flight attendants were very nice."
Cons: "I have nothing bad to say."
Cons: "The flight attendants were bored and unhelpful, the plane was cramped and hot. This is a low value airline that nickels and dimes its passengers."
Pros: "Cheap price, friendly and courteous crew."
Cons: "Boarding was like a stampede. No way that many people were in Zone 1. The boarding gang could have exerted better control. Be aware that the seats are basic-very small tray tables, no recline and not as upholstered as other airlines. But, not terribly uncomfortable."
Pros: "How cheap the flight was, and that it went when it said it would to where I wanted to go."
Cons: "It's a bit offensive to be charged for drinks. Either don't offer them, or don't charge for them. Have one free drink,a dn one free snack, so that the people who took your cheap flight and are broke don't have to eat their hands.. Also, the whole, not even one free carry on will make me think twice before booking with you guys again. Fortunately I was able to pack über light, and that was my one item. And I get that weight is fuel, and fuel is money. But seriously, that felt kinds rude. Glad I checked in on line and found out in time to repack."
Pros: "Enjoyed the crew and their jovial nature. Very friendly all around. Prices are great, but alas you get what you pay for in the end."
Cons: "The seats are extremely cramped. Granted I'm a bit of a bigger person the super small guy next to me couldn't keep from jabbing me with their elbow or bumping knees on occasion. There's also minimal leg room and almost not enough space to be able to get something out of the bag you put under the seat in front of you. On both flights I was on the "air conditioner" didn't seem to work. As in it put out air but it was not cool air. On the return flight we ended up having to wait over an hour to get our baggage at an airport that was significantly smaller that the one we had flown into before."
Cons: "Flight was horrible was supposed to be 4.5 hours straight though instead we get all the way to st.lewis the pilot said they had to make a landing cause the co pilot was sick so we was going to stop there granted we had already been on the flight for 4 hours now then he came over and said no we're going to fly back to Denver now my flight was from LAX to CVG we was almost to home. So we flew back to Denver an hour and 20 mins to sit at the Denver airport for 2 hours before they could get us another flight. She plane is cramped and seats uncomfortable so finally we make it to CVG around noon eastern time when we was supposed to be there at 6am eastern time. I call frontier airlines and all they was to do is give me a $50 dollar credit twards another flight with them and I never want to fly though this airline again. I won't recommend anyone to them. And just an FYI to frontier we don't want you to try and get us to apply for a credit card when we finally arrive at our destination we want off the plane please find a different way to promote your airline/credit cards. I would suggest improving customer service and everything though I say that would help you a lot"
Pros: "The crew was great! One of the best I've ever had -they had to be to make up for all the other irritations of flying Frontier."
Cons: "At no time when I was pricing out best price flights did Frontier let me know that my bags, my seat and my soft drink would cost extra. Seats were barely padded and mine at least did not recline. It took over 45 minutes for baggage to arrive at the claim area which was maddening since I would have preferred to do what I've done on just about every flight for years - carry on my bag at no cost. Because the cost was just as expensive to carry on and the flight was clearly full (since I did not learn until just days before boarding that I had to purchase a seat), I was concerned about my bag being somewhere else on the plane AFTER I paid to have it with me. In the future, I will stick with higher quality airlines in which I know what the cost is up front and I get a soda without pulling out a credit card."
Pros: "Pretty much nothing."
Cons: "The fact that you have to pay for a seat - any seat - and carry on, and water, for God's sake. Unreal. Rude flight crew ("take your body parts out of the aisles"), incompetent and rude boarding crew (completely ignoring boarding order, except to make one elderly Asian man leave the line - while clearly letting everyone else board in whatever order they pleased.) Horrible plane - ridiculously uncomfortable seats, no legroom at all. I am 5'10", healthy and middle-aged, and sat with my legs crunched for 4 1/2 hours, leaving me almost unable to walk after the flight. I will never ever fly Frontier again if I can help it. And I will absolutely tell everyone I can not to either. Awful experience."
Pros: "The original ticket price was great, but that's because they charge you for your carry-on, seat, and refreshments."
Cons: "Frontier has found a way to turn something barely tolerable into something laughably inadequate. The seats were narrow, plastic, and uncomfortable. They did not recline, include a tray table (the flight attendant referred to it as a "tray tablet"), or have any form of entertainment on or in the seat back. Common customer courtesies such as beverage services and snacks were not complimentary, leaving many passengers on my 5 hour flight with a dry mouth. The flight attendants, though able to find a way to channel their obvious frustrations into humor, were clearly not enjoying their jobs. Customers were not snapped at, but were oftentimes spoken to in a short manner. I'm assuming they're thinking they could be better compensated with a rival airline, instead of one that charges for soda."
"Plane was over an hour late taking off and then when we landed we had to wait on the tarmac for 45 minutes."
"We had a 7hr delay because of under staffing and we were short a pilot"
"Everything was smooth. Great communication"
"Both my flights were delayed. From either paperwork or waiting for crew. Gate changed twice. Wondering why they give times and gates. Seems nobody knows what's going on."
Cons: "Terrible seats, but you know that! That’s all anyone talks about is how terrible and uncomfortable the seats are."
Pros: "Getting home"
Cons: "Everything flight was delayed no compensation y’all took 94 dollars from me and won’t give it back"
Cons: "After waiting over 6 hours and several delays, missed flight as boarding announcements were not made to area just adjacent to boarding gate."
Pros: "More comfortable seats and leg room"
Cons: "Being able to pick my seat for free, $3 for a bottled water not good."
Pros: "Seat doesn’t recline"
Cons: "Give at least a drink"
Pros: "Not much besides the Flight crew was kind."
Cons: "Spirit airlines charges you money for water!!! For water!!! I was on a four and a half hour flight from LA to CLE, and didn’t bring my credit cards or a bottle of water with me. I could t get a bottle of water because they charge for them. How is that even legal? I sat thirsty considering drinking the water from the airplane lavatory. Beyond that the seats don’t recline and you get nickle and dined for everything. I would never fly this airline if I didn’t need to travel to CLE where they appear to be one of if not the most dominate airline."
Pros: "At the gate the staff member noted that I had asked for a wheel chair & sought me out. Then she proceeded to find Someone to trade seats with me because I was assigned Row 30. I was then given a 3rd row seat. Since I have some difficulty walking this saved me from having To walk the entire length of the plane. The plane was completely full. I truly appreciate the kindness your staff member Showed to me. I only wish that I knew her name Also the plane arrived 30 minutes early at my Destination."
Cons: "In checking in online it took over 30 minutes to do So because I kept getting the message that no seats Were availble. I finally called the help number & it Continued to give me the same message even when I followed her instructions Finally she told me that My browser was incompatible with your system. I had To sign on to a new browser before I could complete the check in. I also could not add my TSA number to my ticket. The Staff member had to do this. I do not like the fact that I can’t even get a glass Of plain top water on the plane without paying For it I also didn’t like the fact that a person I spoke with Paid $69 one way & I paid 5 times this amount For my ticket."
Pros: "Price an service"
Cons: "The same price today"
Pros: "Nothing. I hate everything there is about Spirit Airlines"
Cons: "It started with the employee at the ticket counter who could not have been ruder if she tried. I have dealt with Comcast and all of the other "nightmare" customer support companies and she is still the worst person I have ever spoke with. If I was her employer, I would have fired her ten times over. It all went downhill from there. Spirit Airlines is the equivalent of the Greyhound Bus. It is gross, the employees suck, and there is not a single redeeming quality about them. I hate traveling Spirit and really regret purchasing that ticket!"
Pros: "The quick boarding process after several delays"
Cons: "The flight was scheduled to leave at 11:28am, we boarded at 3:15pm. I understand some delays are inescapable, however, not at anytime was there a gate agent to answer any questions as to why the multiple delays. The gate agent arrived when the plane did. The only way we knew we were begin delayed is to look it up online or in my email. This was the day MCO was closing at 5pm because of hurricane Irma. People were anxious to leave Florida and with plans to fly out, they were unprepared to stay."
Pros: "The flight attendants on the plane were very friendly"
Cons: "The attendant at the entrance were extreamly rude and not helpful and made me feel uncomfortable. When I got to my gate I was told I needed to pay for my carry on and initially I was okay with it because I thought it would be going under the plane but the still made me take it on the plane so technically i paid for a carry on and top of that I had to wait about 5 minutes for the two workers to finish their "personal" conversation about a vacation one of them had for them to take care of me. This is my first bad experience with spirit airlines after flirting with them for many years and I am very upset"
Cons: "I thought I was getting a cheap flight. Wrong! By the time I added in the cost of checking a bag (even pre-check in), I was pretty much in the same ballpark as other flights. If I wanted to select my seat, that would have made it even more. The seats were hard and did not recline at all and I was on a 4.5 hour red-eye flight. There wasn't any food available to purchase. On top of everything, I had to change my flight, which I did on Spirit.com. I purchased my bag check at the same time. When I got to the counter, my bags were paid, but my flight was not changed. I had to pay to change it at the counter (fortunately, there was room on the flight). They would not take any responsibility, just kept telling me it was my fault since I booked my flight incorrectly in the first place. Terrible airline, will not use again."
Pros: "Fare was lower than most other options, if not all. Flight was quick. Email notifications/updates prior is a plus."
Cons: "Seat layout should be more similar to Frontier if going for economical, but keeping people comfortable."
Cons: "Outbound to BOS there was over 4 hrs delay, yet we had to be at the airport in time for the original departure time. The staff for the most part were not very sym"
Cons: "Almost didn't get a seat because plane was overbooked. Luckily others stayed back in FL. $55.00 for a carry on is highway robbery. Crew not very pleasant and trying get me to apply for a Spirit credit card is a joke. Never again."
Pros: "My biggest complaint is just how there is a fee for everything. The worst being carry on bags. Just being to have just one normal sized bag would have been good."
Pros: "No lines, if you have a carry on. The Kiosk was very easy to use to print your boarding pass. The seats were comfortable for me because I'm 5'5" . Slept all the way there and sat in the middle. I have no comments on the food or drinks because I did not purchase the items."
Cons: "You have to pay for everything extra, from seats, to luggage, and carry-ons, and snacks and food but that is the price you pay for cheaper tickets."
Pros: "Was right on time. Smooth check in."
Pros: "I guess I don't like anything that spirit has - except for the price which I finally disliked"
Cons: "I have my flight at 9.30 AM and I was at the airport by 8.30 AM. I had to find out where the check in counter is and I was at the check in counter at 8.40. By the time my turn came, it was 8.50 and the agent said I am late as the gate closes 8.45 AM. There is no mention in the itinerary that the gate closes 30 minutes before departure and I was there 45 minutes before the take off. I didn't get a next flight. Now, I can't even cancel the return flight and I lost all the money for the trip. I called the customer service and they said they cant do anything except to book another ticket the next day. Why do they think I would ever travel with them again!!"
Cons: "Boarded us on the plane only to kick us off 45 mins later due to maintaine, delayed us by 8 hours. We didnt go on the flight and the trip was ruined. No help trying to accommodate this problem"
Cons: "Very rude flight attendants like I understand you guys work all day and I'm sure it gets old flying back and forth and I bet you have terrible customers but I am not one of those so to be rudely disrespected and ignored was truely hurtful. I was ignored over and over again when they were in the back talking when the no seatbelt sign was on there was no reason they couldn't come in and asked me if I needed something and it was like this for the whole four hour flight. Then when I got up and went to the back of the cabin they got upset with me for apologizing for interrupting them been enquiring about my question she stuck her hand up in the air and told me that she was talking. Very rude. I know the flight is cheap but next time I think ill just pay extra for politness. :'("
Cons: "The fact that they boarded us knowing they had to do a repair or examination of what happened to the plane with a bird strike and fill out the paperwork."
Pros: "cheap, spacious leg room. Got me from point A to point B."
Cons: "Receptionist at the airport terminal was rude. Also on the outbound flight the gate was changed but no one was notified."
Pros: "The main flight attendant who did the announcements was a hilarious, irreverent funny guy who actually made me pay attention to all of his announcements for the first time in years. The Southwest flight attendants are sometimes cute, but this guy was HILARIOUS. Made the trip a true delight. Best thing about Spirit airlines is this one guy. The seats were comfortable and pretty spacious for airlines today."
Cons: "Spirit's "no frills" gimmick is really just annoying because by the time you get the things you NEED, all of which you have to separately pay for on Spirit, you have paid more than you would on any other airline. And every time you have to pay for another dang thing, you feel like you are being scammed just a little bit more. I try so hard to avoid Spirit airlines but sometimes it's the only way to get where I need to go. Before I click the "book" ticket, I add up all the extras I know are coming to make sure it REALLY is the best fare."
Cons: "I logged on spirit.com the day before to check in, print my boarding pass, and update my contact info for flight updates. I was not once contacted via email or text that my flight had been delayed three times. It was supposedly mechanical. Once aboard 5 hours late, we sat in the hot sun for another 45 minutes before moving. The pilot came over the speakers once at cruising altitude to say it would be another 2hours and 35minutes (the flight attendants had just repeatedly announced 1hour 25minutes). It was a mess and seemed incredibly unorganized."
Pros: "Flight from Boston to Cleveland was only delayed 10 min. Return flight was a different story."
Cons: "Return flight landed on time but taxied on the runway for 2 hours (longer than the total flight time). Was only offered 1 small glass of water filled 1/2 up & 1 small package of 2 cookies as a result of federal regulations. Flight attendants & pilot only updated passengers every 25 min, saying it would only be another 10 min longer. As the updates were no accurate and late, passengers including myself were extremely frustrated. Mentioned delay of finding a gate was due to "politics", which I've never heard before. Was extremely disappointed in the way Spirit handled the situation and would not recommend this airline to people as a result."
Pros: "I liked the base price of the fare. I also liked the staff and flying experience from Cleveland to Las Vegas. That reference may be the only thing that causes me to consider a 2nd flight with Spirit."
Cons: "I did not like the boarding process, a single line for ALL customers regardless of whether or not you already have a boarding pass, my luggage was damaged and no note or apology from Spirit it was just loaded on the conveyor belt as if it were received that way, threats of the gate permanently closing 35 minutes before boarding despite having to sit on the plane until the plane was scheduled to leave 35 minutes later, fees for everything from carry-ons, to seats, to snacks and regular beverages on super long flights, and the list goes on..."
Pros: "I liked the fact that the plane did not crash you know i originally type the overall rating as poor only it took to long to load on the computer - i then chose a better classification and it loaded instantaneously. I certainly would have hesitations in sending a child or elderly person traveling alone granted the seat belt sign went on and an elderly gentleman was making his way from the front of the plane to the back bathroom - the female flight attendant told him to get to his seat or be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law - have we come to this in our society or is this the spirit of Spirit Airlines."
Cons: "the airlines treated the flight attendants as bar maids and their only were interest was in swiping a credit card. everything on this air lines cost money - carry on baggage, water soda i wondered what a vomit bag would have cost. Plan ahead as you have to ask in advance for a bag. the flight left late and arrived late. Passengers could get dehydrated with no water on a long (more and a few hours) flight. with everything costing money; it appears cheap - Is Spirit Airlines also being cheap on the maintenance. I am sure you are not - this is a rhetorical question."
Pros: "Once you get over the fact that your ticket only gets you a seat, the airline was great. The plane was like new, clean and roomy. The boarding process was efficient. I felt very safe."
Cons: "At first you feel like its a "low budget" airline and that they maybe cutting corners where it counts like safety. But that was not the case. Although I get the concept, I would have liked to at least printed my boarding pass at the gate without a cost or have the boarding pass sent to my phone. Also, the ticketing counter line was VERY slow in Atlanta. Be aware that even a carry-on cost money and if you think you are going to slid by with a slightly larger bag, it could cost you $100 at the gate and losing your seat and being on standby."
Pros: "Expensive bags"
Cons: "Bag check was more than flight."
Pros: "The flight attendants were pretty great."
Cons: "As soon as I sat down and figured out I couldn't move my seat back I knew I had entered a nightmare. The guy sharing my row was a selfish jerk who kept putting his items on the middle seat to claim "his territory". There were 3 babies on the red eye flight who took turns crying, so almost the whole flight was speckled with little baby outbursts of emotion. And the amount of leg room provided is just absolutely ridiculous for anything longer than an hour flight! I'm certain the CEO of the company that runs Spirit Airlinesflies first class on another airline and never flies crappy old Spirit!"
Pros: "There's nothing really that jumps out at me that makes me scream I love this airline because, let's face it, unless you charter yourself a flight or put yourself in first class; flying really sucks no matter what company you fly with. The only real perk of this airline that is usually pretty consistent are the flight attendants. Their jokes in the beginning lighten the mood and put people who really hate flying at ease for a moment, otherwise they are always attentive and use the right amount of sass to the fellow passengers that need to be put in their place ;) I also like that when my flight is delayed your company updates pretty frequently, it would just be nice to maybe give tentative landing/boarding/take off times because there is usually just one new time and it's hard to tell whomever is waiting on you, what time the new arrival will be."
Cons: "I know I can't complain about the man behind me that incessiently cussed while simultaneously pushing on the back of my seat in his own little pity party, or about the little girl who rested her feet on me for at least an hour-- that's not your fault! Your passengers chose you! But a few things that your may want to look at improving would be timeliness; My last 5 flights have all been delayed to some degree, life happens and I understand 15 minutes, half an hour.... But my flights tend to range around an hour delayed, 2 hours, 4 hours delayed this past thanksgiving... Like I said, I know life happens but maybe there is a way to improve this. Next, yes, all airplane seats are uncomfortable, but the one next to me was visibly broken but still had a person placed in it-- that's not me sitting in it but if I paid $25 for a specific seat and it turned out to be busted I would be pretty pissed- so all I'm saying is if you're charging people for seats, make sure there is enough maintenance and up keep that people are getting what they pay for. Lastly, cleanliness... People don't clean up after themselves even if it's asked of them and it's starting to really turn me away from the airline. There has been food smashed in my seat, gum and other unidentifiable things smashed in the carpet or seat back and it just hinders how I feel the entire flight. I know cleaning crews are expensive and obviously don't help with timeliness when the flight is aready significantly delayed but in my personal opinion if I've already been waiting 2 hours, an extra 15 minutes for a quick clean is not going to kill me and will actually be reassuring to know it gets cleaned at all. Another idea to remedy this problem would maybe be supplying dissenfectant wipes upon request but make it known that they are available-- I use my own wipes but I know a LOT of people don't even think to bring them."
Pros: "The plane only left a half an hour late, yet still managed to make it to the destination over an hour late!"
Cons: "I get it, Spirit is a low-cost operation. But does it have to show in everything they do? All of the staff seemed rather disinterested in the customers, to the point where they weren't sure if someone had sneaked onto the flight! That sure got them hopping. Unfortunately, it took half an hour to sort out. In the meantime, there we all alwere, stuck in our too small seats with their too little leg room. Once we left the gate, it became evident that the flight crew were not just indifferent to the passengers, they were passive-aggressively antagonistic about us. I mean, everyone has a bad day now and then, but the whole crew? Seems like it could be a systematic issue with this airline. I've flown cheap before, and you get what you ou for, but I didn't sign up to feel as if I were despised."
Pros: "Friendly and helpful crew"
Cons: "I paid extra for the extended seat which was great and also due to the fact that I had the row to myself. I have sat in regular seats and they are VERY VERY short and uncomfortable"
Pros: "Clean airplane."
Cons: "I feel cheated and deceived. A checked bag costs $50. A carry on costs $55. If you don't realize this before you go the gate it goes from $65 to $100. The counter crew was rude, and the boarding crew in Cleveland was shaking down passengers to be sure they were not "cheating", stopping the boarding process to check passenger receipts. Getting an assigned seat, an extra $15 per person. And there was absolutely no leg room for that extra $15 (which I paid for). These costs should be shared upfront - basically every ticked is $50-$65 more than the website shows. I will not fly this airline again."
Cons: "seats did not recline and $55 is way to much for carry on."
Cons: "Spirit is the only airline that's so cheap that charge for the regular carry on. Also, your employees spoke poorly about passengers in Spanish and didn't notice or care that the passengers may understand (which I did). This is almost certainly the last time I willing choose to fly Spirit."
Pros: "The flight arrived on time"
Cons: "Our granddaughter's stroller and car seat were not available to us at the gait and we were directed to collect it at the baggage claim area. These two pieces had not arrived in the baggage claim area as well. Therefore, we contacted the airline representative in the lost baggage office. We spent close next two hours trying to locate the missing pieces to no success. We were provided a substitute car seat for her and as we were a minute from our destination in Solon, we received a phone call that those missing pieces were located (we don't know where in the airport) and delivered a couple of hours later. It just speaks to the incompetence of the Spirit airlines staff. I do not think that we shall again fly Spirit in the near future, nor shall we recommend it to other family members or friends."
Pros: "Nice take off and landing, smooth flight"
Cons: "After purchasing our tickets, we thought we were finished with flight fees. We were charged for our seats there and back, we were charged for our luggage, there and back. What if you don't pay for your seats after purchasing plane tickets? Do you have to stand? If you want a flight paid for in one fee, do not fly with Spirit. We will choose a flight with one payment that takes care of luggage, flight and seats all in one. My luggage coming back was 7 lbs over so they charged me $25.00 extra coming back. Hidden fees with this airline. The seats were the worst part of the plane, very uncomfortable. Flight was smooth."
Pros: "The actual in air experience was good. The staff was very nice and smiled as we entered and smiled as we exited. The aircraft was clean and the restrooms were clean and refreshing."
Cons: "The counter service was unexceptionable. I stood in line for 40 minutes. While the few people working did handle the line which literally was the length of the concourse and out the building the the passenger arrival area of the airport. I was one of the most unorganized events that I have ever experienced. The computer would print my boarding pass. I had to stand in line for that. I tried to print it at the hotel for over an hour and it still would not print for me so there is a glitch in the system somewhere. Upon our arrival in Cleveland there was no Agent standing there to give greetings or directions. All in all the service was sub-par and leaves much to be desireable."
Pros: "The flight attendants were extremely friendly and hilarious! They kept us entertained all flight long and were very helpful to everyone."
Cons: "The employees working at the ticket desks were VERY rude. They refused to print my boarding pass, and instead made me leave the line and go to a kiosk to print the boarding pass and bring it back to them. What exactly is there job other than checking in luggage?? In addition to that, I had a heavy bag (knew this beforehand), and was scolded regarding the weight. I was told that the next time I fly, I should "leave a lot at home." It's a shame that I enjoyed my actual flying experience with Spirit quite a lot, but I will never fly with them again because of the ticket counter employees."
Cons: "Worst flight attendants ever. We were in the front of the plane. It was a red eye, and they were extremely loud and disruptive the entire time: slamming doors, talking loudly, and refusing to turn down the bright lights. Absolutely terrible."
Cons: "I like nothing about Spirit airlines. For starters, Spirit stresses that you print your boarding pass ahead of time or you will be charged $10 to speak to an agent at the airport. (Wait, isn't that the agent's JOB - customer service?) Imagine my surprise when I arrived and then had to wait in a line to speak with an agent to check my bag. This is a terrible airline. It really is not cheaper than others when you consider paying for your bag (to check or carry on), that bag can only weigh 40lbs max, paying for WATER on the plane, paying to choose where you sit. Its absurd, really. The seats on the planes do not even recline. Good luck using the tray table for anything other than your $5 cup of water. Its the smallest thing I've ever seen. Choose another airline."
Pros: "When I dropped my checked bag off, spirt personnel answered all of my first time flier questions with a smile and precessional answer. They also switched me from a middle seat to an isle on my overnight! The flight crew was very professional and chipper on the overnight flight!"
Pros: "not a darn thing."
Cons: "what a racket they have set up. business news items i've Goggled say they have modeled their company on people only flying them once, yet still they can turn a solid profit. well...it works. never again."
Pros: "The flight was on time and the crew was friendly. That's about the best you can hope for when flying Spirit."
Cons: "The seats are uncomfortable and a flight doesn't even include a cup of soda or peanuts. It cost over $80 to check one bag (more for a carry-on), even when checking in online and in advance (it would be $100 to do at the airport). Be sure to add that extra $100 to a ticket price when you're comparison shopping unless you can fit everything you need for your trip into a small backpack-sized personal item. Someone was sitting in my seat when I tried to board because he didn't like his, but that isn't the airline's fault."
