Delta has a new policy that these tickets are not allowed to have certain privileges that tickets purchased on their own site have. Unbeknown to us, one of these is the ability to select your seat. On the ride from CVG to FLL we were assigned seats in the back of the plane, but at least we were next to each other. On the way back, we were not assigned a seat at all. We arrived to the airport almost 4 hours before the flight and were still not assigned a seat and were told we would have to speak to the gate agent. Even we when spoke to the gate agent, they still did not have a seat. It was not until we had already started the boarding process that they called us up and told us that we were going to be sitting 5 rows apart, both in a middle seat."

Cons: "My mother, Linda Thompson, has a progressive neuromuscular disorder, Dystonia. Along with this condition, stress can bring on non-epileptic seizures. My mother has had to endure one of these seizures due to the stress that this incident had put her through. As my mother's power of attorney, I am helping her vocalize this incident that she has experienced. The image below shows the spot where she was left, in the Atlanta airport, in her wheelchair. Delta airlines says they provide safe, accessible travel to all of their passengers. That includes providing an employee to transport physically disabled persons to and from their flights and to their shuttle. An employee accompanied my mother when she got off of her plane arriving in Atlanta from Charlotte. This employee was obligated to transport her where she needed to go. Due to her first flight being delayed, she missed her connecting flight in Atlanta, and had to stay the night until the connection could be made in the morning. They provided her with a voucher to a local hotel and a shuttle to that hotel. The employee who met her at the gate was obligated to help her get to that shuttle so she could get to her hotel in time. As many of us may know, Atlanta airport is one of the largest. You might need to take a train to get from one area to the next. It would be very difficult for my mother to walk that distance with her cane, and that is why she needed a wheelchair. The inconsiderate, selfish employee of whom needed to transport my mother to her destination was coming to the end of his shift. He attempted to hand my mother off to another employee at the desk while she was getting her voucher. Told her it was the end of his shift and he had to clock out. She told him, "You can't leave her here". Her statement, and the way she stated it, made my mother feel like she was a piece of luggage. She ignored it and let the employee take her on her way. She just wanted him to take her to her shuttle so that she could get to her hotel and rest. That did not happen. He strolled my mother along for a moment until they were out of site. They approached a gate, of which was empty, and he told her to wait here for an agent to come by. He left. She waited...and waited. No one ever came and assisted her. She was left like a piece of luggage in the middle of the Atlanta airport with no one around. My mother was treated like a bag that someone did not want to carry around anymore. This situation and the selfishness of that employee makes me think of who else could have been treated like this, or who else could be treated like this in the future. Help me spread this message so that something can be done about this issue. Delta has already been contacted, they do not care enough to do anything about it. I bet they will if this message gets heard by their potential future passengers."

So I am ultimately blaming American Airlines accountable since they, not Iberia or airfare.com, contracted with the food service provider at the airport."

Cons: "The AA employee at the counter in Batoj Rouge informed me that I would miss my connection at Charlotte Airport due to a delayed in the incoming flight. Hebgave me the option to flight the next day or flight the same day, and after a 2 hour delay flight to Charlotte where I would be provided a hotel room and a meal for the night. I asked several times if that information was confirmed and he repeatedly said yes. At my arrival at Charlotte Airport (near midnight) every AA employee said that they did NOT have any more hotels. It was obvious that everything was a staged lie since over 100 people had to spend the night in one of the the terminals where we were provided a pillow and a blanket. I am terribly disappointed for the lack of transparency in AA. I was told my some friends that they also have had experiences like that at the same Charlotte Airport. You have damage once again your reputation and from no own in will expect THE WORST from AA."

The last time I flew, I took Frontier from LGA to Denver and the staff on Frontier's flight were very rude and dismissive towards passengers. It was so refreshing to fly American Airlines and be greeted with warmth and professionalism by the staff!"

When they finally fixed it I was excited to watch a movie like everyone else around me. However, my headphone jack in the armrest did not work properly. I thought it might have been my headphones but I tried two different pairs including the pair provided by the airline. I was only able to hear scratchy background noise but no words. This meant I had to go the entire flight with no movie or music. That was highly disappointing. I told the flight attendant about it and she reset my screen thinking that might be the problem but it did not help at all."

Cons: "I flew to Charlotte, NC last week from Houston with my husband for a funeral. The flight there went smoothly and we used the United app to check in and get our boarding passes. When it came time to check in for our flight home my husband was able to get his boarding pass, but they said mine was unavailable. Obviously concerned I called United. After being on hold for over an hour I was able to speak to a representative. I was told that I hadn't show up for my flight to Charlotte... so they had canceled the returning flight. Not only was I on that flight my boarding pass was scanned twice (one at security and once during boarding). The representative then told me to go to the airport the next day and "try" to explain what happened. I don't know if this was some sort of glitch in the system, but I was very concerned and upset that someone could be on a flight with no record of them being on the plane... and that I was having to spend 2 hours trying to figure out if I could go home after a very stressful day... during a time when I should have been with my family. The next day I had to show up the the airport extra early while the representative there tried to figure out how to reactivate my ticket. Overall, an awful experience... I don't think I will be flying with United again anytime soon."

I know the keys were contained in this article due to the fact that the Keychain was left on top, without keys. The staff, from the crew within the airport all the way up to the crew aboard the plane, were fantastic. Weather cannot be controlled but every staff member I encountered at O'Hare was apologetic and constantly giving updates. When the flight finally left, the pilot warned us that the winds still had not let up and that the ride would be rougher than usual. The flight attendants and crew throughout the flight apologized profusely for the out-of-the-ordinary flight and were calm and focused the entire ride, making me feel very at ease despite the bad weather."

However, United staff cannot control the weather and I feel that they all handled the situation as professionally and calmly as possible. Flight delays are never fun and O'Hare was delayed throughout the day, but staff was apologetic and ensured us it was for weather and safety. Unfortunate, but great to see how well the staff acted under circumstances I'm sure they were not thrilled with either. Keep up the great work."

All in all, a decent routine air travel experience."

Getting an assigned seat, an extra $15 per person. And there was absolutely no leg room for that extra $15 (which I paid for). These costs should be shared upfront - basically every ticked is $50-$65 more than the website shows. I will not fly this airline again."

These two pieces had not arrived in the baggage claim area as well. Therefore, we contacted the airline representative in the lost baggage office. We spent close next two hours trying to locate the missing pieces to no success. We were provided a substitute car seat for her and as we were a minute from our destination in Solon, we received a phone call that those missing pieces were located (we don't know where in the airport) and delivered a couple of hours later. It just speaks to the incompetence of the Spirit airlines staff. I do not think that we shall again fly Spirit in the near future, nor shall we recommend it to other family members or friends."

This flight actually arrived 15 minutes earlier than predicted. What I truly appreciated was the Pilot letting us know it was going to be bumpy and why, and what he was going to do to try and minimize the inconvenience. An added bonus, a genuinely funny stewardess explaining the safety features. It's one of the few times I actually listened to the instructions carefully. She was applauded at the end - well done! I fly Spirit to get safely from point A to B and I don't mind at all paying for the extras - that way I get what I want, not what someone else thinks I should have."

It really is not cheaper than others when you consider paying for your bag (to check or carry on), that bag can only weigh 40lbs max, paying for WATER on the plane, paying to choose where you sit. Its absurd, really. The seats on the planes do not even recline. Good luck using the tray table for anything other than your $5 cup of water. Its the smallest thing I've ever seen. Choose another airline."

I was not the only passenger that was left standing alone. I called spirit and they were no help. I missed my flight, and I wasted $400 dollars. I don't understand why no one would be there if it was there fault that the fight was delayed. Not my fault. Needless to say, I will never use Spirit again and I will make sure anyone I know, never uses them either. I called Spirit later and requested a refund, and I still have not seen this. I am highly disappointed and angry."
Pros: "The flight was on time and the crew was friendly. That's about the best you can hope for when flying Spirit."
Cons: "The seats are uncomfortable and a flight doesn't even include a cup of soda or peanuts. It cost over $80 to check one bag (more for a carry-on), even when checking in online and in advance (it would be $100 to do at the airport). Be sure to add that extra $100 to a ticket price when you're comparison shopping unless you can fit everything you need for your trip into a small backpack-sized personal item. Someone was sitting in my seat when I tried to board because he didn't like his, but that isn't the airline's fault."

Cons: "The flight crew left an overhead bin open during takeoff!! And it was over an exit row. This airline is pathetic in so many ways. Minimum $3 for anything to drink, even water?? Seats hard as a rock. Aweful experience"

Cons: "Insane delay on a holiday red eye flight. Pilot blamed the airport very unprofessionally. Of course, the seating is small. When flying spirit, they charge for everything, including picking a seat with your group. They charge for carry on (made clear on their website). Insanely cold. Seat was not clean."

Customer service associates lied and said we would be compensated for our inconvenience. Low fare is off set by charging for eveything from luggage to peanuts. 0/10 would never recommend"

Cons: "Price wasn't that great. Charged $50 for a carry-on bag at check-in. My brother was charged $50 for his as well. Now we're up $100. Didn't have seats on our tickets, so didn't know where we'd be sitting. Tons of babies on the plane. 2-hour delay before take off. We rushed so hard to get there on time, then literally sat there forever. Flight attendants not nice. I bought two beers, they forgot the 2nd one. Seats didn't recline. Airplane was making a terrible noise on landing and taxi-ing. I will never fly Spirit again."
