Mine was a little bigger but because i had my chemo medication in it they did not charge me. When i was returning from Charlotte they charged us for both bags. I told her they didn't in phili and she said every airline does it. So maybe something should be written in ur policy. Cons: "I cancelled my flight a week before the time of departure they said that it'll cost me $99 to cancel the flight and $86.45 was supposed to be refunded. the lady told me it will take 7 to 10 business days when I called 3 days later on the 10th day I called and the gentleman told me that I don't get a refund I get a credit of the $86.45 that I can use to October 7th to use on any flight. My problem with that is I don't fly often and I had to cancel that due to my job. I feel that if I cancel a flight way in advance before the flight is being departed I should be able to get my refund back I'm sorry to say it is but I would never use this airline company again because if I knew that the first time. I wouldn't have done it. Oh I also found out because I keep getting updates from kayak of the flight that the flight was supposed to been I believe was 8:30 p.m. but due to rain it didn't leave Philadelphia Pennsylvania until around 11:45 p.m. so I'm kind of glad now I didn't go because my family member who I was going to visit would have been very upset because they had to stay up an extra 4 hours and they had to go to work the next morning."

Unfortunately we also experienced a lot of turbulence during the flight (no one's fault) but our almost two year old ended up getting sick and neither seat back pocket had any bags. Luckily the lady next to my husband had brought her own and gave them to us. We were in the back of the plane and asked for a trash bag and or napkins and they ignored us at first. My husband and I tried to stay positive and laughed pretty much the whole time because these things happen. The crew didn't help us until decent (about 20 minutes later) and seemed upset that some got on the floor as they were complaining that they would need to use a special cleaning agent. Our son was such a trooper and wasn't fussy or crying. His stomach just couldn't handle the turbulence. The only positive about our flight we're the wonderful passengers sitting around us!"

Our flight coming in was the gate beside our next one and instead of delaying by another 15 minutes they closed the doors while we looked at the plane and watched it leave the gate. They did not reimburse and they did not have another available flight to Santo Domingo until 5 days later. We had to spend more money to buy a ticket to get down there."

I went to one and was thinking about getting a seat upgrade but decided against it and cancelled out of the menu. I went to retry checking in and I was literally two minutes late. And they didn't have any flights until the next day so I had to buy a ticket from a different airline for significantly more money. Oh and guess what, I didn't receive a refund. Here's the real terrible thing, I got to the airport to fly from Boston back to Baltimore and I bought a round trip ticket with spirit and made sure I came in two hours before the flight so I would avoid checking in late again. Well, it turns out since I missed my outbound flight they also cancelled my flight home so I had to buy another plane ticket from a different airline. Honestly I've used kayak plenty of times and as a college student who went to a school across the country I flew frequently and still do for work. This was my worst experience flying ever and a trip that should have cost $100 to fly out cost an additional $500. I honestly hope spirit airlines goes out of service, I'm not alone in this sentiment. If you look you'll find numerous online articles for many users citing how poor the service is, unexpected cancellation of tickets, byanztine and not well advertised rules and I didn't know it at the time but it is consistently ranked as the worst airline in the US and for good reason."

Flight delayed 3 hours from LAX on Thursday night....flight from PHL to LAX on Sunday was cancelled completely with no warning due to mechanical problems. The airline could not book another flight until two days later or offer help with hotel or other arrangements. Ended up spending $300 extra to fly my favorite airline (American) which I should have booked in the first place. Never again will I waste money on Spirit."

We ran to the customer service. The staff there wasn't sympathetic and showed no interest of helping us to get on another flight to Portland asap. Instead of connecting us to the flight that we could arrive at Portland on the same day, he told us two choices of flight: same flight at the same time on the next day; fly to Dallas next morning and then fly to Portland arriving Portland at early evening. It was already 8:45 pm at the time. I asked was there any earlier flight we could take as my daughter has to be at a camp orientation the next day. He was rude and refused to offer any further help. As we walked away , my daughter saw a nearby boarding gate showed a flight to Dallas in 20 minutes. We rushed back to the Spirit staff and asked him to put us on that flight. He said it's already too late. If he would had tried at the beginning, we would have a chance to be on that flight, and be back to Portland next day. We ended up buying tickets from another airline to fly home that night. In summary- Spirit Airline: expensive after added all other fees, ending up paying more with very poor service, lack of convenience of larger companies that have more flights , small seat space; you will be treated as a bargain seeker and deserved no respect or service."
