Cons: "American isn’t my preferred airline for obvious reasons (delays, notoriously bad service, old planes, and a lack of amenities like WiFi and tv’s), but now I’ll never spend my money with them again. They took me off an already delayed flight after I’d already boarded to examine my smart bag. I know that lithium batteries can’t be taken in the underbelly of the plane and I knew my bag would likely be checked at the gate (why I removed the battery and left it at home in the first place). When they asked me if I had a lithium battery in my bag I said “no.” They then gate checked the bag and allowed me on the plane. After everyone had been boarded (half an hour after we’d been scheduled to take off) they then called my name out on the speaker. I had to then de-board the plane and re-explain to staff that there was no lithium battery in my bag. The staff didn’t believe me citing the infallible logic: “there are ports so there’s a battery.” I told them again and again that the battery had been removed and the charging ports—while there—were inert as they weren’t attached to the battery. STILL, I had to remove all of my clothes from the bag, and open every single compartment (of which there were many) for them to allow me to get back onto the plane. They were telling me that they might have to “rebook the flight” if my bag couldn’t get on. I don’t think I need to explain how agitated/terrified that made me."

Cons: "Because our first flight was delayed over 4 hours we missed our connection and had to be re-booked on the only other flight that still had seats that day. We had previously booked and paid for Main Cabin extra seats in the second row that included extra leg room and free drinks. We ended in an airplane with two exit rows, one near the front and the other near the back. Our seats were right behind the rear exit row in the back of the plane. The seats did not recline and there was limited leg look because the exit row seats were aligned differently due to the crew seat next to the door. Also, the bathroom was right in front of the row in front of us and so it was busy, noisy and smelled. Obviously we didn't get our free drinks either. Now I'm having to fight with American trying to get a refund of the money we spent for the Main Cabin extra fees. The fun never stops. I will never fly American again."

WHen i told the attendant i was being "rained" on he said...i know its happening everywhere..... he said there was nothing he could do but get me paper towels...they never came. I was very annoyed getting off the plane walking back and forth....it was aweful. and my flight before this was no better i am VERY TURNED OFF BY AMERICAN AIRLINES RIGHT NOW."

Cons: "AA has nine boarding groups, which queue up in two lanes. Each of the two lanes hold about 5 people, at most. This is ridiculous. It creates enormous crowds of people jockeying to be near the tiny lanes for when their number is called 5 or 10 minutes down the line. AA needs to reduce the number of boarding groups, lengthen the lanes, and provide more of them. No other airline boards this way. That's because this boarding method is stupid. Unsurprisingly, our plane took off late because they couldn't get everyone boarded in time."

Cons: "Everything else. American cancelled my first flight from MSP to ORD. And when I got to Chicago, it cancelled my next flight to Nashville. The flight I managed to get on departed two hours late. There was no explanation for each of these cancellations/delays. There was virtually zero inclement weather anywhere, save for most of the country’s temperature being nearly equivalent to the surface of Neptune. And, the surly, clueless Chicago-based gate agent was the coupe de grace in my search for a reasonable explanation after which I waited impatiently for this episode to conclude. American get your act together."

Cons: "My checked bag, which l paid $25.00 for, didn’t make it on the flight to Pittsburgh. It got there on another flight at 7:30 pm Monday night but no one from American Airlines did anything about trying to get it to me until 11:30 pm. As a result, while l stayed at a hotel only 30 miles from the airport, my bag wasn’t delivered until 2:00 am on Tues, more than 8 hours after l got there. And their website for supposedly checking on lost luggage, aa.com/bag status, is next to useless. It gives no useful information. Use the 800 # but state you want to talk with a human when answering the questions in their phone tree. I’ve had other experiences on AA over the last few years that lead me to question their commitment to customer service. I’ll be avoiding American Airlines as a travel option where other alternatives are available."

Cons: "the airplane was absolutely freezing. It was so cold, you could actually see the air blowing (like in winter). There's no need for that. Somehow European airlines manage not to freeze out all their passengers. It was less than a two hour flight but felt like an eternity because it was so uncomfortable. Seat size - this is absolutely the smallest it can/should go. I am pretty skinny, but even I'm running out of room and the seat backs could be made a bit more comfortable. Not only is there almost no recline, but the way they are constructed - they actually push my head forward - not made for short people."

Pros: "The flight was delayed by more than two hours which caused us (me, wife, 4yo, and 7mo) to miss our connection from LAX to HNL. We had to stay the night in LA and take a morning flight to HNL. But despite the delay, the gate agent in Charlotte did a good job of updating people and remained very polite even when it was clear people were getting frustrated and starting to get sharp with him. Pilots did a good job of trying to make up as much time as possible. I can't remember how much time they shaved off but I think it was more than 20 minutes. Customer service in LA was solid too. Went to CSD to get our tickets changed. They had already changed our flight to a 8 AM flight. We asked if we could take a later flight because of the kids and he was able to accommodate. They also gave us vouchers for 3 meals and a night at the Holiday Inn. Having a delayed flight is never fun but the AA staff was amazing throughout."

Cons: "I can't rate it because they canceled my entire itinerary without so much as an email. I did not take my flight to Wilmington via my original flight. I had to book another flight because the change fees were too expensive. I did not know that my return flight to Denver had been canceled until I was checking in a few hours before my flight. I was told my ticket had no value. Awesome! It really stings that I then had to book a new return flight, and because I am a teacher who makes about $23,000 a year, I had to book the cheapest flight, which was with American. I do not plan on giving them any of my hard-earned money in the future if I can help it."

I think no screens on a cross-country flight is not good business. Not everyone is savvy with go-go inflight. And if there are no screens, could there at least be outlets? I was so tired after my Paris flight and wanted to chill with some go-go entertainment, but my battery was low and there were no outlets. I know not all flights can have these luxuries, but if the flight is over five hours, I think it should be better equipped."

Cons: "I was supposed to make the trip from BNA to CHS at 2:30, we were delayed over 1.5 hours, making me miss this flight by 5 mins. Then I was put on 10pm flight which was cancelled! They couldn't get me to HHH until 6pm the following day. I would have missed my entire conference. The closest they could get me was a 10pm flight to charleston, then I had to rent (AND PAY FOR) a car and drive 2 hours to HHH in the middle of the night. The customer service people were less than helpful. They aren't allowed to help you make car reservation. My flight on the way back from HHH to BNA was a similar story. Thankfully my connecting flight was delayed an hour or there was no way I would have made it."

Comfort was good because I had paid for an upgrade which I actually thought I was paying for the international flight but found out it was actually for the Charlotte flight which was a surprise it was not very clear from the tool. So hence the Comfort was great on this flight. But the tool needs to make it much more clear as to what you are selecting the upgrade for. Food, there has got to be something else out there other than pretzels, I understand why we do not have peanuts, but a little bit more variety would be very nice. I understand there's a cost tractor, but often pretzels tend to be fairly stale. Short flights entertainment."

Cons: "When we bought our tickets we asked about how much time to allow between the London flight and our connection to Knoxville. We booked expecting to take the early connection if we could get thru customs early enough. We did, asked for boarding passes and were told it would cost $150.00 to take the earlier flight...so we sat for more than 3 hours waiting for our connection, after buying over $2,000 in airfare, traveling for 24 hours and seeing a partly empty plane leave Charlotte for Knoxville. We were the given the back two non reclining seats on the flight, even though we had booked weeks in advance...so no we felt very let down at the end of a difficult trip."

Cons: "The flight was delayed by 15 minutes. We had well over an hour to go have dinner, so we did. While we were gone, they moved our flight to another gate and left no sign behind-just an empty gate. Nobody, including AA staff at another counter would tell us whether we missed our flight. A passenger getting on another flight overheard us and told us what happened. When we found the right gate, I told the attendant that they should have left a notice on the digital board at the previous gate. He became very effeminate and gave me a piece of his mind, since he had "personally" made the announcement. It didn't matter to him that we weren't there to hear it. That was our problem. The flight was delayed even longer after we boarded because of a fuel gauge issue, and when a few passengers moved about to use the restroom or get belongings out of their luggage, the female attendant on board scolded everyone like school children. We finally got home, an hour and a half late."

Cons: "100 degree plans before taking off for mechanical reasons. Upon arrival it looked like a refugee camp in baggage claim area. A bunch of bags unclaimed scattered about. The screen said carousel 12 and confirmed it with local reps and then after waiting for a while some passenger says "if you're coming from Charlotte the bags are at 11, that's where I found mine". The miracle of flight is a miracle. I rarely complain but more often than not when flying domestically I realize how stretched the airlines are."

This was an Embraer 175 jet...will never fly on one of these again. Had a hard landing in excellent weather. Flew the same route back to Charlotte on an American Airlines A320...these seats were comfortable and the landing was smooth even with a 20mph crosswind."

We missed the concert and a full day of planned activities. We were bumped off the flight although we had confirmed reservations. So we decided to drive and incurred hotel charges. We will be driving back home and will incur hotel charges on the way home. We had to pay for gas and wear and tear on our car. This has been an awful experience."

Pros: "The associate at the desk confused my flight for the next flight. I was given the wrong information and I watched my plane depart from the gate. Upon realizing that employees of that gate had left, and we're not coming back, I had to ask passing personnel about my flight to find that it left already and that I had already been rebooked without being notified. I now had to fly from Houston to Chicago to Nashville. The new flight boarded almost 2 hours later than expected, and upon landing in Chicago, I had already missed my connecting flight to Nashville by 35 minutes apparently. Unacceptable."

Pros: "The Flight Attendant who was in the back of the place was awesome and very caring."
Cons: "Someone was sitting in my seats and instead of making him move they made us move and tried splitting up my wife and 6 month old child about 4 rows apart. The air started blowing very hot air about halfway through the flight. Everyone was sweating and it was better to just turn the air off completely then keep it on. They tried taking care of it which helped for 5 minutes and then it started blowing hot again. Also the WiFi would kick you off after about 30 seconds and then make you go through a login that takes like 60 seconds. Needless to say... this was the first time I haven't flown Southwest in years... and with the kind of experience it's no wonder why it won't happen again any time soon."

Cons: "I got to the airport 40 minutes early. The flight was out at 6:20, I was there by 5:40. They did not let me print out a boarding pass. I could see the gate from the security line and the security line was EMPTY. There was no reason for them not to let me get on the plane, but they ended up scheduling me for a flight to Denver with the connecting flight in the morning- delaying my trip 24 hrs and charging me an extra 125$!!! I ended up paying an extra 85$ to American and was able to get to PHX that afternoon! The ladies at United were straight up RUDE too. When I told the lady at the counter my name she rolled her eyes."

Very much appreciated and why I always fly United with my MilagePlus card. I had been on vacation for a week and had to be at work the next day."

In both situations hence i had to leave my bag to the flight assistant because there was no space for it left. When I ask for an explanation i was told it was a sort of United software bug. Nobody cared to explain me what happened, nobody came to me with an apologize, and a flight assistant on my way back made also fun of me for being the last one. This is a ridiculous customer service, I told all my friends and will tell all my finance coworkers as well to not use United anymore."

Just a really horrible experience. I will never book Frontier again. It was miserable."

Pros: "I was a little hesitant that I could pay under $100 for a round trip flight from Charlotte to Philadelphia. I was pleasantly surprised by the entire experience. My bags even beat me down to the bag check!"

Pros: "I had never used Frontier till today and I have to say for being a discount Airline I was impressed. The flight boarding was quick, the seats were the same size as a normal airline in coach.....while I did not pay for a reclining seat I was comfortable for the 1.5 hour flight. I packed a bag that met the personal item size maximum and was not hit with any other fees. I actually found that the service was good and other passengers were friendly......probably because everyone was so happy that they didn’t overpay for the flight. I’ll definitely book again!"

Pros: "Frontier's flight from Charlotte to Trenton was canceled due to equipment problems. Frontier gave us a $10 meal voucher, rebooked us on another flight, and gave us a voucher for a future flight."
Cons: "The flight was scheduled to depart at 10 am but we had to wait till 2 pm before the flight was canceled. The rebooked flight took us to Newark. We then had to drive to Trenton to pick up our car."

Forget trying to use a laptop or even a tablet to work. They charge for everything and now ask you to tip your flight attendant for handing you a water that costs $3.00. Will avoid Frontier at all costs in the future. Seats are thin, hard and so close together. No room between seats. Seats do not recline unless you are in emergency exit room. If you want to select your seat during check-in, they charge you extra. Even for a seat in the last row on the plane was an extra $5 just to select it. Seats closer to the front were an extra $25, but these are not better seats or offer more room, just the ability to get off the plane faster after landing. Carry on baggage cost extra and checked bags are $40. After paying for baggage, seats, a water on a round trip, the low cost turned out to be more expensive than another carrier with seats that are more comfortable and gave you more room between seats, entertainment and a free soft drink or water."

Cons: "I cancelled my flight a week before the time of departure they said that it'll cost me $99 to cancel the flight and $86.45 was supposed to be refunded. the lady told me it will take 7 to 10 business days when I called 3 days later on the 10th day I called and the gentleman told me that I don't get a refund I get a credit of the $86.45 that I can use to October 7th to use on any flight. My problem with that is I don't fly often and I had to cancel that due to my job. I feel that if I cancel a flight way in advance before the flight is being departed I should be able to get my refund back I'm sorry to say it is but I would never use this airline company again because if I knew that the first time. I wouldn't have done it. Oh I also found out because I keep getting updates from kayak of the flight that the flight was supposed to been I believe was 8:30 p.m. but due to rain it didn't leave Philadelphia Pennsylvania until around 11:45 p.m. so I'm kind of glad now I didn't go because my family member who I was going to visit would have been very upset because they had to stay up an extra 4 hours and they had to go to work the next morning."

Unfortunately we also experienced a lot of turbulence during the flight (no one's fault) but our almost two year old ended up getting sick and neither seat back pocket had any bags. Luckily the lady next to my husband had brought her own and gave them to us. We were in the back of the plane and asked for a trash bag and or napkins and they ignored us at first. My husband and I tried to stay positive and laughed pretty much the whole time because these things happen. The crew didn't help us until decent (about 20 minutes later) and seemed upset that some got on the floor as they were complaining that they would need to use a special cleaning agent. Our son was such a trooper and wasn't fussy or crying. His stomach just couldn't handle the turbulence. The only positive about our flight we're the wonderful passengers sitting around us!"

I am grateful we did not take off with a defunct left-engine. We taxied back to the airport and de-planed--but only after being instructed not to talk to the other passengers. (Really.) The flight was not cancelled, even when the plane was towed to the hangar. Finally, after six hours, Frontier offered a refund--as they had no interest in placing us on another airline that was going to the same destination. I rented a car and drove from Charlotte to Philadelphia to retrieve my own car from the airport so I could arrive home 15 hours after my scheduled arrival. Frontier couldn't care less. NEVER again."

Not only do you pay an astronomical amount to fly your bags, there are no in flight refreshments and the service is heinous. Even when I had a THREE hour delay that then put me getting home at 1 in the morning, not a single apology was said by staff, no one was even in the gate to talk to those who had connecting flights. I will never fly frontier again even though it is the only airline that flies direct to Denver. I would rather sit 12 hours on a Southwest flight than ever have to talk to Frontier employee again."

Cons: "First and last time flying Frontier. The flight from Memphis to Denver was worst flying experience ever. We were delayed 2+ hours which no one is ever happy about. However, I have NEVER experienced a crew member take this out on the passengers. She was snippy and rude to EVERYONE, in person and over the PA. She refused my husband a cup of water because he was trying to reuse a cup (he got water for me so I could take medicine when we reached altitude). She told him he would have to wait until everyone had water first before he could have seconds and refused to hear his explanation. The crew in general seemed to think it was ok to prod us on like cattle to make up for lost time. I overheard another passenger call her Cruella Deville. On the return flight (on time and pleasant crew) the crew informed us they were the cleaners at the end of the flight and asked several times for help in this endeavor."

There was one instance where the plane was delayed (of course) and they changed gates at the last min without making an announcement or letting anyone that was waiting at the gate know! The Captain and Flight attendants just started moving to another location! Not only will I never fly with Frontier again, I will actively tell everyone I know that flies to never fly with Frontier not just once, but every time I hear the word airplane. In the positive section I mentioned that the flight attendants were good with letting us know what is going on, well the Captain is the one that is supposed to be the one letting us know what is going on, not the flight attendants. Whatever Frontier has got going on, seems like it is overwhelming. I will never fly with them again."

I spoke with customer service on the phone multiple times on the flight regarding various issues. They were able to help on about half of them. Response time was extremely long and trying to get a hold of someone was nearly impossible (When through a bunch of prompts to discuss issues with a computer instead of a real person. Yes I tried pressing "0" every chance I could to be redirected)"

Cons: "I didn't like the baggage prices. Especially, when Delta doesn't charge you for baggage and the prices are off by $20, but after you check a bag you spent more money at Frontier. I didn't like the fact we sat and waited for over a hour for a few passengers. I've never heard of any airline doing that and I was late for my best friends wedding that I was the best man in. Yeah the bride was mad at me all night because I wasn't there when they walked down the aisle. Thank you Frontier."

The fees completely negated any savings from booking with them in the first place. Also, the online check-in system was clunky and took longer than it should have, and then my flight was cancelled because they couldn't get their act together with scheduling two days after a storm hit Denver. I had to re-book my flight with another carrier which ended up costing $1200. Not a bargain!"

The Charlotte Airport was close to chaos due to the lack of management of the many people there trying to be processed. This experience was a nightmare and I have lost all trust in Frontier Airlines going the extra mile to make things work smoother. It is known that holidays will have more people in the terminal. Plans by all airlines and the airport should be in place, including hiring more workers, to make the flow and the flights work better. Sometimes cancellations can't be avoided, but there should be a better alternative than being told that the next flight will be seven days later."

Finally they switched me to another airline, leaving at the time I was supposed to arrive to Dominican Republic, at noon, and missing a beach day. Worse of all, they could not even spare a $5 allowance for breakfast."

Cons: "This is the second time I buy a spirit flight ticket, the first time they lost my 500 dollar stroller and recovered it after 3 weeks it was broke when they gave it back and they did nothing about it. The second time I didn't fly they canceled the flight because pilot was no where to be found I over heard it, they said flight was canceled due to bad weather even though other airlines where flying to the same destination at the same time."

Pros: "Noth At All Everything Was Complicated & Nerve Wrecking, Staff Was Rude Check In Didn't Work Nothing Was In Order Lines Was Very Long"

Cons: "Ran like hell to board the plane after a lengthy tsa screening involving a malfunctioning scanning machine. When I arrived, 20 minutes before takeoff, I was told I would not be allowed entry to the plane.... After some argument, I was allowed to board the plane. When I arrived on the plane, the door was still open, and people were still seating themselves. I was upset by this...."

Cons: "I had 3 hours delay for aircraft problem. Supose to arrive at Philadelphia airport at 10:40am but with this problem we arrived at 1:30pm No entertainments and need to pay for snacks and beverages. Everything else was okay!"

Pros: "I was given accommodations when I missed my connecting flight due to Spirit delaying my first flight."
Cons: "The ungodly long lines, waiting hours to speak to an agent, the multiple delays, missing my connecting flight"

Pros: "Loved the fact that because of having just a sort layover I could stay on the same plane for my connecting flight instead of having to walk to the other side of the terminal to catch the next plane! Thanks!!"
Cons: "Have no complaints because of the fact it was sooo much cheaper and quicker to fly than to drive for two days to get to my destination."

Cons: "riginal flight was canceled and I wasn't notified. My second flight was delayed with no additional information. I had no idea when I was leaving or arriving at LAX. The woman at the counter was rude and smirked at my frustration over the lack of information. I will never fly Spirit again and I will recommend that my friends do the same."

Cons: "Paying for everything. Couldn't even get a glass of water to take medication without buying a bottle. Wouldn't have minded if I didn't have to pay $55 extra to bring on a small duffle bag. Obviously the space is awful but I knew that with Spirit going in. Should've selected another airline. The flight itself was fine."

Cons: "I'm glad my plane tickets were gifted to me because it was not worth the price. I'd found flights around the same price range that include carry-on luggage and sometimes even a checked bag, reclining seats, and complimentary non-alcoholic beverages. Spirit bombards you with ads about how every inconvenience supposedly saves us money. It doesn't. It's hidden costs. 99% of people are going to need more than a backpack when they fly across the country. And it doesn't go towards service either. Check-in kiosks didn't open until an hour before the early morning flights, despite the instructions we receive. Deboarding is chaotic. Flight attendants zoom by before I can throw away my trash or ask a question, and they don't help customers with overhead storage."

Pros: "I had my $640 shoes stolen out of my bag, and they have done nothing to correct the issue."
Cons: "The employees are horrible. I will never fly this airline again"

Cons: "I booked my flight through you guys and I assumed all was well but I didn't get information until the day of the flight that the airline declined my payment because I didn't use a credit card when booking so I never got to go on my flight"

Pros: "They charge for everything! But one "personal item" aka your purse. They even charge you for water, soda, peanuts during the flight which most flights have been giving complimentary for years. Very unhappy and i will never fly with them again. Why pay for their flight and extra fees when you can go to any other airline and the bags are free and you actually get water for free during the flight.. Just think about that before you book with Spirit"

Cons: "Confusing about bags taken on the plane by others that seemed to exceed the 16x14x12 limits. There was plenty of overhead storage. Nit clear how these bigger bags are allowed when it's obvious they exceed limits. My wife and I worked hard to get 5 days of clothes in the small bags. No one was checking bags size that appeared close to limits."

Cons: "Not worth the money for all your "little" extras like water! Not a fan for paying for a seat when I already paid for the flight."

Cons: "Crew didn't inspire confidence. Sign on outside of plane visible when boarding about having the youngest crew in the industry--I'd prefer an experienced crew, not a young one. Dog on the flight, won't frequent airlines that allow this. Flight attendants didn't check seatbelts or luggage compartments. Flight attendants chatting to each other rather than greeting customers like it was a job at the mall. NO BAG DROP OFF LINE. Although I paid SO MUCH for baggage and opted to get a mobile boarding pass (which they wouldn't have accepted... in 2016), I had to wait on line with people who hadn't yet printed their boarding passes (and COULDN"T because the machines were down). If I hadn't gotten to the airport earlier than I needed to, I might've missed my flight on a day when air traffic was already backed up."

Cons: "No entertainment and very uncomfortable seats"
