Pros: This review is for return travel from ATL to MAA (Chennai, India) and back. Route: ATL-DOH: about 14.5 hrs; DOH-MAA: about 4.5 hrs; Likes: 1. Baggage check-in process was simple and easy. 2. Meal preferences was good - I'm a vegetarian and on the onward journey forgot to specify the meal preference but the crew had enough inventory to meat the requirements. 3. Every seat was provided with a small plastic pouch/packet/goodie bag that consisted of a eye mask (very thoughtful), pair of sock, toothpaste+brush (very thoughtful), hand cream. This was very useful and effective. 4. Entertainment - options were good and current.
Cons: Dislikes: 1. Online check-in wasnt easy; towards the end of the process, there is an option to email the boarding pass but this never worked. Not sure if this is something to do with the browser (tried with Firefox, Opera) 2. It would have been good, as part of the online check-in, if the users reminded to specify the meal preferences, etc. I forgot to specify the meal preferences but thankfully the crew had enough of what I wanted. 3. Take a relook at the packaging of the toothpaste tube in the goodie bag. It was sealed in such a way that it was difficult to open it w/o a sharp object. This should have been easier. 4. Seats were the worst part - poor legroom. Worst, the seat cushion is the worst. I think it was just a fabric over a metal seat with minimalist of cushion. ATL to DOH leg was the worst (and the longest leg of the trip). Unless you have open seats next to you it would be a back breaking and painful trip. Seat comfort wise, I would rate Qatar as the worst. Luckily on the return leg (DOH-ATL) next two seats to mine was empty, so was able to stretch and sleep well. DOH-MAA or MAA-DOH seating was little better (think its a older plane; newer planes have worst seats) 5. The website was damn slow while accessing from overseas. Even in the US, at times the website hangs-up, freezes or spins often. 6. Food was ok -dinner and lunch but minimalistic; I didnt see any specific breakfast menu or any coffee served separately (was part of beverage option during lunch or dinner) 7. There was no alert, communication, notification, reminder of upcoming trip via email or text, etc. Many airlines does this very often but Qatar was totally silent on it (they did have my email during checkin). Not sure why.

Pros: Very nice arrangements, the seats were comfortable, the food was delicious, and the staff could not have been more hospitable. I would be delighted to fly with Qatar Airways again.

Cons: seat was next to bathrooms which were used constantly & the noise made it difficult to sleep. seat did not recline & seemed to be at an uncomfortable angle. flight was full so nothing could be done. entertainment very out dated as far as movies & you do need them on a 16 hour flight!

When person in front of us reclines seat for entire flight, it is almost impossible to get out to stretch legs or go to restroom. At the minimum, crew should ask all passengers to raise seats during meal service as a courtesy to those behind them. This is done on other airlines.

Cons: Meal service was very disappointing. 16 hour flight with one meal at the beginning, one meal at end, and a small, rather unappetizing hot pocket like sandwich in between? And snack offerings were ice cream, potato chips, candy bars and a few apples (ran out of apples). Need more healthy options. There needs to be a more full meal/snack offering around the half way mark if you are going to keep people from grumbling.

Cons: Kayak/priceline re-booked my flight for my sister and I from SAA to BA, but failed to completely reissue us tickets. When we checked in for the flight, we had no ticket for the first leg of the flight, but we had tickets for the remaining flights. We immediately called to fix this problem, but due to slow customer service, we weren't issued tickets in time and the flight left without us. We missed all remaining connecting flights and were forced to buy New tickets. Now we have to work with kayak/priceline to get all my money back due to their error. We came back a day later than expected and missed going back to work.

Cons: Check in staff and customer service reps were unprofessional and unhelpful. We had an 8 hour layover on both legs, no access to the lounge or a hotel was provided. I explained we were on our way to our wedding and it would be nice to have some rest. They were rude with the way they told us no, they even suggested we sleep on the floor of the airport. We ended up paying for the lounge, but then so did about 1000 other people, there was no room for us to sit together. My wife's allergy free meal wasn't provided on the first flight. We had to speak to about 5 people to get a meal ticket at the airport and they were very reluctant to give us one. I told them she was hungry and needed to eat. They told us we could take the meal we got with the ticket on board, when we went to use the ticket we had no choice in meal, were given a coke at 6am and weren't allowed to heat up our meal or take it on board. In summary, all the cabin crew on all 4 flights were excellent. Staff at Doha airport were incredibly poor.

Cons: The layover is very short, my first flight from LAX to Doha was 40 mins late so I barely made last call from Doha to Dubai and my bags didn't make it. I did however have my luggage delivered the next day to where I was staying in Al Ain for free so that was great!

Cons: Food quality should be improved. Most of the staff were very courteous, except on two minor request. I guess the stewardess was a little stress due a very demanding passenger, but should not be reflected to other customers.

Pros: Qatar airways always seems to handle busy flights and crammed seats calmly, efficiently and on time. It's a long haul - 16+ hours, and if you have to go economy as a 6 foot tall person, their seats recline well, seemingly better than many. You have to plan your long layovers, and they do offer assistance with hotel transfers, but they don't advertise this very clearly - so do your homework before flying!

Cons: My seat was broken so I sat up right for 16 hours. To top it off I needed to use the toilet REALLY bad but was denied even though we were SITTING on the runway for 20 mins. When I FINALLY get to use the toilet, after a smaller Asian girl and a taller Indian girl were getting bags of blankets out of, I leave a WOODEN CLIPBOARD full of VERY important papers that will cost me inside. Yet when I call to retrieve them they are "nowhere to be found" so you're telling me out of those 2 women, the Indian gentleman, the black woman & the other Asian woman back there didn't notice a clipboard when I was the only person back there trying to use the toilet or they simply threw a wooden and metal clipboard away ?? With what was clearly paperwork clipped onto it ? The girl at the service desk of Qatar airways claims to have looked herself. But she was rushing me off of the phone so I don't feel like she remotely cared even a little. I am PAST unhappy. So thank you for throwing my paperwork away I know for sure was left behind. Very thorough team.

Pros: bathrooms had liquid on the floor sloshing around from about 1 hr after take off. Flight attendants need a disposable towel to put down. Nasty bathroom are not pleasant.
Cons: i was blessed with 3 seats in a row. Had trouble lying down because the arm rests don't go up all the way. The seat belt connectors were not recessed, so they poked me in the side. The movie selection was only so - so. See the selection from Singapore airlines if you want to see a good example. I have many food allergies - for the sweet & savory snacks, the ingredients are in Latin - like a place holder ready for when they get the real words to put there. e.g. dolorem ipsum ...

Cons: It was not at all a smooth travel experience. The original flight was from Mumbai to Doha to Los Angeles. After reaching Doha they said the flight is full !! They made me travel via Boston where it was so much hazzel to catch the next connecting flight. My bags did not come in the same flight. Next day I had to go to the airport again to bring them. I did not had anything to wear, I had to purchase basic stuff. It was a very inconvinient travel. I want compensation from Kayak as you guys confirmed my booking and I come to know at the Doha airport the flight is full. HOw did you issue me a ticket??

Cons: Haha where do I start. The experience overall was poor. One of my flights was canceled by British and they claimed I cancelled it. It was a hot mess all the way around. This left we standing outside the airport in Indi for nearly an hour.

Pros: The A-380 is outstanding. Seats are good, even in economy. Entertainment system is great.
Cons: It seems to me that boarding by Groups has not helped in the least bit, instead it has made things slower. It's bad enough that the charges and limitations on luggage have forced everyone to try to board with their suitcases... The group system just makes things worse. I recommend BA compares itself to Lufthansa, Swiss, Qatar, Thai, whatever, and avoid trying to match Easyjet and American Airlines on service levels. Oh, and there is no excuse for long delays and cancellations in the most important airport in Europe. At least not for a simple dusting of snow.

Cons: Breakfast was not great. I had asian vegetarian meal. I had uppuma, mini dosa and sambar and they were tasty. But I also had bread, sweet bread and a piece of sweet cake. Three kinds of bread is not necessary. Too much carbo. Please provide, vegetables like cucumber, tomato and carrot with breakfast. Also chick peas without spices and rava kesari can be served with breakfast.

Cons: Awful (typically BA) configuration im Club World on a 787 - cramped, inadequate storage, just lacking essential comfort for a supposed premium class. Food: seriously, I've had better in student cafes. Just stop it BA - its like some kind of prison food. Entertainment: meh. Small selection of new release movies. Crew: with the exception of one - just one from a complement of 15 odd - of the crew, the rest were a surly, inhospitable miserable bunch. If you hate your job don't take it out on customers - especially in a service industry.

Cons: A couple of mishaps by the crew with no acknowledgement. One of the flight attendants dropped an empty soda can on the floor which was dropped on my toes (I had taken my shoes off) and picked it up with no acknowledgement or apology, even after I screamed out of pain. I was speechless that I didn't even object. In another incident, when asked for food option, I chose chicken vs pasta. When opened my hot plate after 2-3 minutes, I found out I had tofu in front of me. I called the flight attendant and they came over, acknowledged I had the wrong food just to inform me they were out of chicken at that point. If you make a mistake, please offer something in return to make the experience somewhat better.

Cons: I added a quick trip to Austria while I was in Europe and timed it so I would fly back to London and then back to LA on the same day. London had a huge wind storm on 10/21 so my flight from Austria landed 1 hour late, with that I missed my London-LAX flight on BA (that I purchased via Kayak). The BA agents tried to help me but were not able to use my Kayak ticket to re-book me or at least recover some of my investment. There was no phone number provided on my reservation and after an hour of trying to help me, they said I have to buy a brand new ticket. The cost for my return and my seat reservation both were lost and my new ticket was $1,600 (and I had to spend the night in a hotel at Heathrow as at that point all US flights left for the day). I usually book directly with the airlines because I want to avoid situations like this, so it is too bad that the one time I come to Kayak I end up having to buy a new ticket that was twice as expensive as the original one. Cons: Crew service was surprisingly not very welcoming/friendly. Felt like a burden to request anything. THe food was extremely low quality and lacked nutrition. Food make me feel like he opposite of energized.

Cons: We were delayed by 30 minutes for whatever reason and then we were trapped in the air for 11 hours in tiny seats. The seat wasn't very comfortable and I didn't have much room to sit and for my legs. I had a stupid box under the seat in front of me with airplane stuff in it I guess, so that took up some room under the seat in front of me. I had my legs stretched in the aisle most of the flight. The food wasn't great, but what airline food is good? I was really expecting this aircraft to be like the Dream Liner, but overall it was just a big tin can in the sky.

Cons: BA website required payment for any seat selection, so I paid $35 for two aisle seats to be close to my husband. Then, BA website did not allow change or upgrade of seating when I at last discovered upper deck availability and paid another $50 each for us to sit together.. I purchased seating months in advance, and so did friends travelling with me, but my husband's seat was given free to a man who said had just purchased 2 days prior. I purchased my one friend an exit row seat in main cabin for $75 but BA gave it to someone else. Yes, I want refunds and will be writing more about this to BA and posting about this horrid discomfort.

Pros: This was a great flight, seats were spacious and comfortable, food was hot and tasty. Entertainment also good - variety and quality.

Cons: First a large number of the flight was flagged for special screening which meant that they had to do additional procedures and were very understaffed as many of us talking near 100 people had to stay behind and wait for over an hour as three employees screened us in detail. This while the rest of the plane was already boarded. Thus the flight left late and arrived very late to LAX. Secondly the refrigeration on board for food was broken thus spoilong the food so we only received one meal on an 11 hour flight which we were starving and not what we paid for during this flight. They did offer snacks but when not having a full meal as paid for it is a huge let down. Thirdly why is Wi-Fi not offered on this flight. Due to the late departure and late arrival we missed my connection to TUS and was not able to make calls or email during the flight. Not acceptable. Very unhappy and will never be flying with British Airways again. I WILL ALSO NEVER LET FRIENDS AND FAMILY FLY WITH THEM. An airline as prestigious as BA needs to work better at ensuring the minimum on offering wait we the customer pays for and this did not happen. Staff was amazing and very friendly but we were very dejected and felt that your brand suffered a lot with this experience. I do hope to hear from airline about this incident as my wife and I travel constantly.

Luggage did not make connection. Promised it will be delivered today.

Pros: Connection desk and gate attendance were the only people who tried to help fix the mistakes made by the people in madrid. Global access allowed to quicken our time spent going home after the mets that was our flight home.

Pros: flight was on time. Checking in was easy, and well directed. As for entertainment, plenty of new release movies to view.
Cons: The seats are uncomfortable, due to a metal box under the seats . You have to sit with legs in an angle, instead of straight; After 9 hours, it's very uncomfortable.

Pros: I liked everything about the flight, very comfortable seats (Club World), great staff who were very thoughtful and helpful with our situation (disabled person). The check-in personnel at Chennai were very considerate and helpful, much appreciated. The wheelchair arrangements at Chennai were excellent. The food on the flight was very good and accommodated our dietary restrictions. Entertainment choices (movies) were quite good, too, and managed to get some pretty good sleep as well. The lavatories had green/red light system for availability, visible from our seats, which was very helpful. The lavs were quite well maintained and clean. The flight was on time. and it arrived safely, which is the main thing.
Cons: The transition from the flight to the terminal at LHR was not optimal, though the staff were trying their best. The "jetty" ramp way for normal deplaning was broken, they said, so they brought a set of steep aluminum steps instead. Navigating these steep steps was not possible for some passengers (difficulty walking and with steps), so finally they called a mechanical lift device (like a fork lift) to help those passengers, many in wheelchairs, who couldn't manage the steps. We had to wait for at least 30-40 minutes on the plane for the lift to arrive and stand outside on its platform up in the air, waiting to be ready to descend to ground level. This was pretty uncomfortable and it made our connection time very short. To compound matters, once on the ground, there was a wheelchair available for only one of us, though 2 had been requested, but as on other flights through LHR, there was unfortunately not enough staff to push it through Term. 5 to the connecting flight. So, I had to do that myself, along with managing my own luggage, which was a bit challenging, as I was tired by then. Our flight connection time, already much shortened by the deplaning situation, was evaporating steadily. Fortunately, there was an excellent staff member from Heathrow, who had been assigned to push someone else's wheelchair, who guided our group of wheelchairs, complete with hand luggage and children, though the maze of Term. 5, through very busy security and finally to our gate. We would have gotten lost and even if not, would almost surely have missed the flight without this guide facilitating this trek. We made the connecting flight with barely 5 minutes to spare.

Pros: Flight crew were very nice. The entertainment was nice. The inflight meal was good.
Cons: British airways told us we can't take our standard size carry on in the flight and have to check it in. They damaged our luggage. The personnel at their LAX kiosk were very rude when we wanted to report the damaged bag and turned a nice experience into a bad one.

Cons: The seats and the conglomeration at boarding time.

Cons: On both flight s going to LAX to London and London to LAX we were sitting in the back of the plan with all the families with noisy kids. on the flight to London I had two twins in one seat it was difficult for the mother and the children were all over the place. with a tantrum at the end of the flight because of having to have the seat belt on. On the flight home we were in the last row and all kinds of crying kids. If I ever fly again on British Air I want a seat further forward but if is hard to pre book your seat. We are in our 70's and would like a quieter area.

Cons: I payed extra to be in premium economy and ingot put next to free upgrade and the flight was empty behind me so I had no room and I payed more just an unfair and ridiculous waste of money if I have people all around me and none behind me I shouldn’t have to pay for something if there giving it to the people so I get less riom

Pros: The plane was really clean and they had lots of overhead storage.
Cons: It was too crowded and cramped and UNCOMFORTABLE and there was a REALLY LOUD kid that would not shut up and nothing was done about it.

Pros: Unlike other AA planes, the plane that flew this particular route was at least updated with seat-back screens.
Cons: Unfriendly service. A sandwich wrapped in plastic wrap is an absolutely horrible excuse for first class meal service.

Cons: DO NOT FLY AMERICAN AIRLINES DURING A PANDEMIC. They were not keeping folks distanced from each other, they did not make sure that all the passengers had masks (I understand that people might take them off in flight briefly to drink etc but there were people that walked right on without masks on at all) The flight was FULL. They did a full drink/snack down the aisle thing ensuring that everyone packed into that small space would all be taking off their masks at the same time (if they still had it on in the first place). I did not feel safe at all.

Cons: Maui to LAX GOOD. LAX to Phx crowded for Covid19 situation. Sat in middle seat between two other passengers. PHX to Santa Ana no one sat in the middle seat. It concerns me that such cheek to jowels seating could backfire

Cons: Missed the flight due to poor staff and a delayed landing from my crossover. Given how childish the ground staff were being, I can only assume the flight staff wouldn't be much better.

Cons: After sitting on the plane for an hour they found a problem and so we had to deboard and wait for another plane. Obviously better than taking a less than optimum plane but added a lot of waiting time to an already long day. Not great that on a 6 hour flight we had to buy food.

Pros: I like that the flight left on time and arrived early at LAX.
Cons: They ran out of breakfast. Seat configuration was 3-3-3 in economy and not 2-4-2 like on the JAL flight on the way to Japan. The level of professionalism is much higher on JAL in regards to the flight attendants than AA. The boarding process still needs a lot of work to be more organized (take a look at JAL as an example - they treat customers like kings and queens). Also, there was no way to get a seat assignment through the JAL website. That website looks and acts like it’s from the late 90s.

Pros: Getting home EVENTUALLY
Cons: 10 minutes after leaving Austin the pilot tellsnus Houston air traffic control is grounding all westbound flights due to a storm in Dallas that's causing too much congestion. So we sa on the Tarmac for 90 minutes. I have a difficult time believing this situation was a surprise. Possibly it was just to free up the gate and not have to go through reboarding. Also leg room is getting reduced to 28 inches. I'm 5"11 and cramped. How is JetBlue better than American? How much will these airlines continue to bend us over. I didn't even take the screaming infant into account.... since it's not AA's fault for letting that baby on board.

Cons: Terrible service from get go which continued when landing in Melbourne with hopeless Qantas.

Cons: Passengers bringing hot food on plane. KFC and McDonalds odours major in first 30 minutes

Pros: Generally clean plane with good entertainment system and technology overall. Diabetic meal much better than in the past.
Cons: Didn't announce meal choices at the start so flight attendant had to repeat herself every. Single. Row. They forgot my diabetic meal on the last part them forgot to include cutlery and it took a long time to sort out but they were otherwise lovely.

Cons: This flight was miserable. Seriously, one of the worst flight experiences I've ever had. The leg room was absurdly small. I'm not a tall person and I only had one inch in front of my legs. When the guy in front of me put his seat back it pressed into my knees. There wasn't enough space to bend down and untie my shoes, let alone get something out of my bag. My shoulder and knee were touching the guy next to me (a complete stranger) for the entire flight and there was nothing I could do about it. This was a red-eye but I absolutely could not sleep because it was so uncomfortable, so when we landed I had a terrible migraine and was nauseous and disoriented going through customs. I actually had to sit down in the airport because I though I was gonna pass out while trying to carry my bag, that's how shitty I felt after this flight. On top of that, not being able to sleep on the flight really messed up my sleep schedule and so jet lag from the time change has been made even worse, so I'm completely out of whack and its so much worse that it otherwise would have been because of the horrible flight. Also the food was gross and there wasn't enough of it. Even now, I don't think I have really communicated just how shitty this flight was. I was actually angry when I saw my seat upon boarding, and I'm still angry about it now.

Cons: We were not permitted to board the plane until later than expected, but were told we would still take off right away and regain lost time, no mention of a delay at last call or immediately after, despite the 20 minute delay by this point. After taxiing, the pilot informed us of withheld information, that ATC would delay our departure for ~40 minutes, but we could STILL try to make it up in the air. This was a bold faced lie. It was finally  9:52pm before we even took off from SFO. While idling, the cabin started to reek of jet fuel, and people started coughing and sneezing. Upon landing at LAX at 10:46pm, we were told that there was no gate for us, and that we would have to wait for an amount of time that kept changing every time there was an announcement. The toxic jet fumes started to permeate the cabin again, and people started coughing and sneezing in response. Ultimately it is 11:21pm by the time we reached our gate. At this point, the jetway was broken/failed to open, but despite this, the air conditioning was switched off and pax crowd the aisles without direction. Finally we managed to escape at 11:31pm.

Pros: The entertainment selection was pretty good on the flight. That is my only positive experience.
Cons: The seats were incredible jam-packed together. We had a 9 1/2 hour flight from Tokyo and could not even sit without our knees touching the seat in front of us. My tray table couldn't even properly extend -- the seats are so tight my tray just folded up on top of me. The food was BAD. 1/3 edible out of each course, consistently. I saw other passengers also dumping untouched trays of mystery meat that came as a side. They handed out egg-tomato-cucumber sandwiches which were inedible. The tomato had gone bad and the egg had a sour taste -- I gagged when I took the first bite. I'm especially disappointed with the seat spacing, though. I had a really difficult time getting in/out of the seating aisle to use the restroom. Even with our bags stored under the seat, I couldn't get in without tripping on/getting my foot caught in the strap of our purses/backpack. I couldn't even turn on one side without my arms or legs touching the passenger next to me -- sore neck, sore back, and still couldn't even get a wink of sleep. I will not be flying internationally with American Airlines again. They are the epitome of an airline trying to cash in on as many seats as possible. Save yourself the trouble and fly Japan Airlines directly -- their food was great and their seats were very comfortable.

Cons: Connecting to LAX through Toronto was frustrating. We were told in Dublin that our bags were checked all the way through to LA and they weren't. (Been through Toronto before and thought maybe they had changed the procedure) Airport signage could be improved to accurately inform of baggage pickup and drop off with your connecting air carrier. (Our traveling companions ended up missing the flight home in the confusion.) The airport is going through renovations, maybe it will improve. The flight to LA wasn't stocked properly with food. They ran out of sandwiches/fruit and cheese plates by the first few rows in the main cabin. No earbuds available for those who needed them. Cramped seating. This flight was with BA partner American Airlines

Cons: This was almost a six hour flight there were no televisions available the flight was oversold and there were people on standby there was very little Lego room we were only offered snacks and drinks the crew was stressed we left late because we were instructed to check our carry-ons but that was not enforced until people were already on the plane getting on the plane and getting off the plane took a very long time there was very little leg room it was difficult to move around the plane because it was such a small plane the crew was very stressed out. I am very upset about this flight and will not fly with American ever again.

Pros: Crew was exceptional (as usual), everything ran smoothly and on time.
Cons: It doesn't make sense to board from the front of the plane backward. I know this is not an AA thing, but a way to make customers paying more feel more special by having the privilege of sitting on the plane longer...but it's really silly.

Cons: Had a middle seat and didn't have the option to pick another seat without paying over 250 USD

Pros: My wife and I have flown on many airlines. This was one of our best experiences. All the staff that we came across were ridiculously helpful and very understanding. Despite us getting held up in traffic and running quite late, staff members of both American Airlines and Qantas were extremely calming and reassuring the whole way through. Flight was extremely comfortable and entertainment was fantastic. Made the trip really easy.
Cons: Food wasn't the greatest. Barely touched the breakfast and dinner meal. Supposedly the flight had free wifi, but I honestly couldn't eat that to work for me.

Cons: Check in through website was confusing to do. Flight shows on alaska airlines sight as a united flight. I downloaded the united app, and it tells me my flight is not just through american airlines, but through another carrier, american freedom or aomething like that. Very confusing. I called someone, I think american airlines, by this time completely confused. If there are multiple carrier types, I should be able to input my flight number and my info ahould come up for me to view flight info and check in, or seat assignment. In the end I dowloaded 2 or 3 apps, a confusing phone call, and when i got to rhw intial check in I was not treated well by tsa personnel. Maybe my name triggered thw extra search or something.Anyway, that last part is unrelated but my return flight was kind of a struggle.

Pros: Good experience all around.
