He told us that our flight had already left but he would get us on the next one. We ended up getting seats on the next flight but then were also given the option to get a temporary visa and explore Doha for the night. We opted for the comped night which included a very nice hotel and $100 in meal vouchers. We absolutely LOVED Doha and the hotel and food was fantastic! I don't think I have ever received better service from an airline or a hotel. We ended up walking around Souq Waquif and the downtown until 1am (we are two young females!) with no issue and just used Uber to get to and from the hotel. Everything was so well laid out for us! No complaints whatsoever!"

My wife and I have the carry on bags, with which we boarded multiple domestic and international flights and never got a complaint from any carrier, but to my surprise, etihad staff mentioned that my bang is over sized in length and width and I need to check in. And second complaint is on Food. We selected Hindu meal, and the food was not good in taste and the options as well. We felt Air India, Qatar, emirates, Cathe Pacefic etc were better comparatively than Etihad. Staff were all good and supportive all the time."

Because of her I could not even sleep for a second in the plane. Iliana is very racist. When multi cultural people are around, it a common sense that we have to talk in a language which is understandable by every one. She was speaking in the local language, and messing around with the fellow passengers for a small issue. She is definitely not fit as an air hostess, if she is there as a racist. there was another air hostess who as shouting at us to book business class if we need to order individually. A kid beside me was asking for an ice cream if we had a chance of purchasing it, like we do in domestic airlines. When I was requesting for the ice cream, she mentioned it thrice to book a ticket in business class. Rude absolutely very very rudeeeee. Untolerable service.....worst really worst service. There was no blanket and ear plugs kept on my seat, I request iliana thrice for blanket and ear plugs, she was like i will give you after I serve everyone, but I never had one through out my journey. This is how Eithad has trained their air hostess to handle passengers. seriously I will never ever choose eithad."

It is pathetic service in my opinion because the airline put so many elderly passengers with no knowledge of English to a lot of heardship."

I swear I found another family almost crying as they coming from a connecting flight didn't go through the check in desk and paid $1200 I have been using same handbag on airlines including etihad for 5 years without any problems ... Once everyone had bought new bags ($100 minimum) and ditched their old bags (created a huge pile in the corner of the boarding area), they didn't bother to check the new bags to see if they were now compliant... Never flying with Etihad!"

I had my face mask on displaying the side that states "please wake me up for meals" and of course I was not. Hours later, I woke up starving and had to go to back of the cabin to pick up a food tray since no one bothered to answer the call light. After finishing my meal, I pushed the call button 5x and no one came to collect the tray. I waved at an attendant 2x and she replied, "I'll pick it up on my way back" but she never came back. 3 HOURS LATER!!! My food tray full of waste was still sitting in front of me. At that point, the gentleman sitting in the aisle seat woke up, saw the tray still in front and he got very upset. He stopped a random attendant walking down the aisle and requested tray must picked right now! The attendant then apologize and was shocked herself that the tray sat on my table for 3 HOURS! In addition to this, the seats in the economy class were so tightly compacted and uncomfortable for a 13 hours flight. One could barely move."

When I arrived in Memphis after 24 hours of flying, I found my luggage locked up and no representative to be found. Exhausted, frustrated, and seeing my luggage through the glass door and not being able to retreave it, I was incredibly frustrated with United. If you are going to send luggage on a different flight, be there and available to let travelers claim their luggage. My entire flight had gotten their bags from baggage claim before I even found someone available to open the door. It wasn't until we finally were able to board that they discovered a maintenance issue on the second plane, so we sat on the tarmac in stifling heat due to the engine not being on for an hour and a half while they worked on the plane. We didn't take off until about 11:40 central time and arrive home until 1:30 AM eastern time instead of the scheduled 11:38 PM arrival time."

The crew member was not aware of the procedure involved in passengers involved transfers to various destinations after landing at New Delhi. They misguided some passengers(including me) directing them to exit through emmigration procedure, collect the baggage and report at domestic transfer desk. we had been issued Transfer Boarding Pass at Chicago itself for our connection flight to Bengaluru.There was no need to go through the emmigration at New Delhi and collect the baggage. The baggage collection procedure was a hell of a business. This can be verified from the various registers maintained at domestic transfer desk. it took almost 3 hours for getting the luggage going through the customs etc, 4. At the arrival lounge there was no AIR INDIA HELP DESK or representative to guide the passengers. Similarly, the sign board only displayed transfers/baggage claims arrows. and the suddenly one finds a sign board displaying domestic transfers. At this point confusion arises as the passengers disembarked from international flights are required to go to international transfers where there is no requirements for emmigration and baggage collection as the emmigration procedures take place at final destination if it has the facilities. 3, The numbers of passengers affected may be verified from the various registers at the airport. On three registers kept at various entry points, we had to make entries as regards passport No. baggage tag No. Fligh No. etc, etc."

The new connecting flight is AI 1174 from New Delhi to Bengaluru. 2. While checking in at Chicago we were issued Transfer boarding passes for second leg of journey from New Delhi to Bengaluru. It displayed Flight No. AI 174, instead of AI 1174. When this was brought to the notice of the official at the counter at Chicago airport he told in their computer there is no change. The baggage tags also displayed AI 174. 3. After alighting at New Delhi and going through all the hell when we checked in at domestic transfer desk, the official observed that out Transfer Boarding passes for Delhi-Bengaluru sector is for AI 174 and the luggage ( four bags) also contained the same flight number AI 174. 4, we were told we will now be issued new boarding passes for AI 1774 as domestic passengers. SIMILARLY, new baggage tags were placed on luggage. There we were also told that AI 174 a San Francisco to Bengaluru Flight via New Delhi is not cancelled and it is only delayed, Had we not been misguided at Delhi, we could have simply boarded AI 174 at Delhi and the luggage also could have reached Bengaluru in the same flight without we going through the procedure of baggage retrieval process at Delhi as it was along with other passengers luggage already kept AT DELHI AIRPORT departure terminal for uploading in AI 174. It is our humble suggestion that even by mistake if passengers go through emmigration procedures at one airport instead of the next port of destination, system should be in place to take care of the same by MARKING the person to again go through the emmigration procedure at the final destination.."

Cons: "Awful service! The air hosts/hostesses don't care about you if you traveling economy. This was a 16 hour flight but they didn't even offer water for 6-7 hours. I used my attendant button at least 12 times and no one came to my seat. I had to hunt them down and found all of them holed up in the back of the plan gossiping and laughing. Adding to this, their entertainment systems were faulty and didn't work half of the time I was on the plane. The sound quality may have been alright but the headphones that they provided gave a really muffled sound so it was really hard to understand. I tried to use my personal headphones but the entertainment system would only allow for Air India's "special" headphones. The food was mediocre and they served their meals in spurts. Within the first two hours of the plane taking off, they served us one meal. Then there was no food or water service for at least 8 more hours. Then they gave us a meal 4 hours before we were supposed to land and then again a heavy snack an hour later. So basically, we were left to fend for ourselves for 8 hours with no food or water. I am dreading the journey back from Delhi to Chicago now."
