Cons: "Dear sir or Madam, I’m writing this complaint as I feel so mistreated and so disrespected, I had a ticket# 2208688265549 with a confirmation# WP6DHB travelling from Tulsa , OK, USA to Cairo, Egypt. Everything was great as expected and recommended by my uncle who travels with your respected company at least twice a month till I got to Frankfort airport to take flight# 0582 from Frankfort to Cairo. I was stopped while heading to the plan by the flight manager as he called himself later, and told me that I have to only have one item on the plan, I already had one carry on and my hand bag that has my laptop and the charger, I told him that I was told by Lufthansa customer service the night before traveling to confirm the luggage weight and size that I’m allowed one carry on plus personal item like a hand bag or lap top bag and they have to meet specific dimensions. I even offered to call the customer service number for verification, he replied ‘’I don’t care, I’m the flight manager and you will do what I say’’. His words were really hurting, I showed him the tag on my carry on that I got from the previous flight it said (approved carry on) don’t remember exactly what it said, he reached to my carry on and tare that tag, I didn’t think that was appropriate even if the tag had no value he doesn’t have any right to touch my luggage without my approval, then he tried to grab my ticket from my hand saying I will get you off the flight, I got really upset and told him don’t touch my belongs. There was a moment of silence because I think I raised my voice (my apology to him and to the company for that), I realized that the conversation is not going any where so I decided to file a complaint (not because he wanted to me to only have one item but mostly because of his attitude) so I asked him for his employment ID number he walked away without saying anything, waited till he walked close enough that I can ask him again this time he refused to give me his employment ID number, asked him for his name he said it so softly, I asked him to spell because I didn’t hear it right he said it so softly he refused, then I had to look for his badge and the name on the badge I believe his first name started with P and last name started with T. I waited a few days till I got to talk to my uncle and told him what happened as he is the one who recommended Lufthansa and he has a lot of experience with your services he said that they might need to do that because the flight was complete and they want to offer luggage place for everybody, but what I surprising is there was many empty seats on the plan my seat was 032C and the 2 seats beside me (032A and 032B) were empty also there was a lot of carry-ons room everywhere. So I don’t know why he was this way with me, I’m really disappointed specially that is only my first flight with Lufthansa since 2015, that flight manager made me have an extremely rough experience. one more thing when I told him I’m going to compla"

Pros: "KLM Is an impressive flying experience. We enjoyed the comfortable seats, the in-flight entertainment, and the food. The flight attendants are top notch as well."
Cons: "The only complaint I have regarding my most recent flight was the incredibly rude service staff whom we experienced at the front counter at check-in. After a harrowing cab ride to the airport in which our driver continuously ignored my request to follow the GPS insisting that he knew faster shortcuts, we arrived 40 minutes later than intended. Additionally he dropped us off at the wrong terminal such that we finally arrived at the KLM gate an hour later than we had planned. This was especially frustrating as we are traveling with two small children and made every effort to be punctual and leave early to be sure we got there with time to spare. Not the case today. All of that I could deal with, but when we arrived at the KLM counter, and I apologized to the attendant staff member that we were late and explained that our cab driver got lost, she responded by chastising us first in Spanish and then in broken English. She made sure to make it clear to us that it was our fault and we should not blame the Argentinian cabdriver. The cabdriver was not actually Argentinian, but that is totally besides the point. I was totally taken aback to be treated so rudely as a greeting at the airline counter. My wife share the same sentiment. Nothing like this has ever happened to us before. Thank God, every single airport personnel and of course KLM staff member on board was incredibly kind and accommodating of our children subsequent to this. It saved what otherwise could've been a terrible experience."

Apparently, the NY to LAX flight that KLM booked us on, was only one leg of the flight to Sydney Australia; and according to some airline agreement, only Australian nationals are permitted to take that flight! Running around at JFK from terminal four, to terminal seven, to terminal eight, back to terminal four, to get a flight out, was a bit much considering how tired we were – not to mention hungry, since KLM neglected to provide the kosher meals we had requested with plenty of time – BOTH going to and returning from Europe."

Cons: "One and a half hour delay on a 50 minute flight. Flight was operated by Cityjet on behalf of KLM. Never have I seen such bad customer service: from rude people at the bagage drop off to incompetent hostesses at the boarding gate."

Alot of male passengers volunteered to move to accommodate the women that cannot sit next to a man. As a suggestion maybe while booking a ticket a passenger can select the option of sitting next to women or men only. My screen stopped working about an hour into the 12 hour flight. I’m not sure if they were stolen or were misplaced during the most incompetent and disrespectful suitcase search ever. We were really disappointed and felt violated."

On top of it, phone support staff I talked with were not the least helpful, empathetic or friendly. I was jerked around about receiving a full refund even though it was the airline that cancelled, and finally had to dispute the purchase with my credit card company. They've lost my business forever."

Additionally, coming from Vancouver on a late arrival, no one helped expedite me to the flight. I had to leave International, clear immigration and Customs, then enter immigration and US Customs. When I told anyone I was possibly missing my next flight it was met with a shrug, as if it was just my problem. Not a good way to treat customers."

Cons: "My traveling partner - Giovanni Medina - was given ill properly prepared food. He ended up getting food poisoning. We had a connecting flight in Montreal to Orlando (our final destination and home), he was suffering during the 2 hour lay over with an ill stomach and then had to suffer 3 more hours on a flight home. He was stopped from being able to go to the bathroom before takeoff because they needed him seated, but he immediately started vomiting right before we took off. He then spent the rest of the ride sick, they allowed him to move to the back in order to use the bathroom rather than the vomit bags, but he was not comfortable at all. He spent the rest of the night after landing in the bathroom continuing to vomit. We chose this airline because of the rave reviews of the food, entertainment, and hospitality of the crew. The latter two were certainly true. We definitely wanted to make sure that you knew of situation because this was a seriously uncomfortable situation for him and we would not want this to happen to anyone else. He had the chicken meal and the meat pastry on the flight."

I understand charging extra something extra, like a service class upgrade or even some more legroom, but not just to get a seat next to your partner when you booked your flight months in advance. Bottom line: We didn't pay and ended up not just in different rows but in different boarding groups. However, now that we are at our destination, with the $100.00 we saved I'm going to sit next to my spouse at a very nice restaurant, enjoying a fine dinner! Seems like a better use of our money."

Delays can happen, but according to the finally communicated cause this could all have been communicated early on (crew not available in Cleveland, that was two flight legs earlier)."

Cons: "Baggage claim at final destination was a complete mess. I went straight to the baggage claim area after our flight and never saw any baggage come out at the designated carousel. Checked with the baggage office and they apparently don't work with Air Canada and sent me to their check in desk where no one was available. Customer service was only able to fill out a form listing me as missing my baggage and tell me to head home. Had to return to pick up my luggage the next day, but the Air Canada manager couldn't even tell me if the baggage would have gone to the baggage claim carousel or to the check in desk, because it seems they have no established protocol. With it being such a small flight (only around 10-15 of us total on the plane), it seems like a brief announcement of where our luggage would be could have saved people headaches. Being small seems to be an issue where the airline itself doesn't have any real established protocols or a substantial presence in the Columbus airport at least. So overall, not impressed with the management when checking in or out in the actual airport."

Cons: "The flight was delayed 3 hours for mechanical issues and so we missed our connection to Frankfurt that evening, and any other possible connection to Europe. Apparently Kayak had been notified that the flight was delayed, but had not relayed the message. If they'd informed me earlier I might have been able to rebook myself on an earlier flight, but I no longer had that option when I arrived 2 hours ahead of my scheduled departure. Although my arrival to my destination was delayed over 24 hours, I was only given a hotel room and enough to buy breakfast the next morning. No vouchers for future flights, no upgrades to an empty first class on the flight to Frankfurt the next evening, no apologies. The women at the gate tried to help me, but the AirCanada representative who I had to call to try to re-book flights was incredibly rude and condescending. She repeatedly talked down to me, and refused to book me on an alternative flight I found because she "insisted" it wasn't in her system. She later found it in her system, and told me that she would not book me on it, but that I would need to get the gate agents to do it due to the "tight connection" I would then experience of one hour through London Heathrow, the same as my originally booked flight via Air Canada in Toronto."
