We couldn’t check-in online. Even though it was booked through American Airlines, none of my AA benefits carried over. The Wi-Fi and entertainment didn’t work the entire flight. The flight crew said something about a voucher but I didn’t hear anything else about it.

Flight was supposed to go at 8:50PM. Last minute it got delayed until 5:30AM

Everything was orderly and easy going. Was worried reading about all the bad behaved passengers, but crew was kind but stern in their warnings. Anyway, all was as I had hoped.

Jetblue's $65 charge for carry on bags is robbery. There was plenty of space on the plane for carry on bags.

It was a redeye flight, so there's not much that can be done to make it "better" per se. The crew is respectful of passengers trying to sleep, the lights remain low and announcements to a minimum. The amount of in-flight entertainment and charging ports available at each seat means I can easily find something to watch/listen to until I fall asleep, and my devices will be charged and ready to go when I reach my destination in the morning!

Cons: "The flight was delayed twice and then jump back to the original time according to the JetBlue app. I had also called the airport I was departing from, and they're updated system said it was the original time, as well. Then they offered 2 wave the fees for cancellation or change of itinerary. So I went to go do that for the next day, because my flight wouldn't land in till 3 in the morning. But right as i clicked the confirm button, it said that offer was no longer eligible. And then it got changed again to the second alert which was 11:40 something, for departure. I understand that there was a severe thunderstorm and tornado watch, and warnings along the surrounding cities, however the continually changes in time, JetBlue and mco were not update with each other, it changed so much, so fast."

Cons: "The flight attendant at the front- I don’t know her name but she was wonderful, friendly and smiling and seemed genuinely pleased at her job. The flight attendant in the back I don’t believe smiled once the whole flight. It was a relatively short flight but still not one smile on boarding, in flight or once we landed. Probably gave the most morose safety demonstration in aviation history. I know most people don’t like their jobs but a smile does go a long way and for me personally it helps s great deal when you have an irrational fear of flying. She did nothing wrong but she could have at least looked like she wanted to be there."
Cons: "Pets were allowed on the flight, and we had no prior knowledge of this. I happened to be allergic to furry animals, especially cats and dogs. There were two dogs on board, one in a row toward the front and one in the back. There was nowhere that I could go and allergens were probably circulated in the system. There was also a terrible odor that several others said they could also smell. The attendant said that there was nothing that could be done, and we suffered through the entire flight. Also, the TV control was broken and there was no option to turn off the TV. The attendant said that there would be a $25 voucher issued for compensation. We have not heard a peep from anyone!"

She even gave some of us a tour of the galleys and taught us a few things about Mosaic customers as well as a few other operational things. I didn’t catch the other flights attendants names as they covered more of the back of the plane but they were both insanely hospitable and it was very clear that they loved their jobs as they were having fun. The women who checked us in also accommodated is with Even More Space seats after knowing we were crew members!"

The child was about 11 but for some reason her mother was sitting on the isle next to her and wasn’t concerned about having that changed or helping her daughter have a better experience on the plane. The lil girl was screaming , she had a car that she rolled on my seat and the seat next to me for hrs. It’s not her fault, her mom didn’t do anything to help.. nothing .. Then the Crew was arguing and wasn’t happy at all .. Craig talks so fast on the intercome I couldn’t understand him .. Craig wasn’t happy with him having to do credit cards and wanted to do trash . Him and the crew from the back were arguing and I was in disbelief that not one crew member tried to help, talk to the mom or do anything about it .But they were involved in their own mess so they were not worried about the young lady screaming . I left that flight with a headache and no rest what so ever..i really wish the mom or someone would have said something.. absolutely awful flight .. awful I left there saying to the crew get me off of this plane pls .."

I was planning on making it to work by 9 this morning but the only folks who received alternate flights were the ones with connections :( in addition to this, the power shutting down on the plane was extremely unsettling. I have flown hundreds of times and have zero fear of flying. Today, I was terrified that the power would shut off mid-flight at any moment. I truly wish we'd been given another plane...i know that's tough. But something along those lines would have been better than stepping back on the one that shut down with all of us in it...after waiting for hours for it to be repaired. I do appreciate the $150 coupon though."

Had I not already know how to do the safety procedures, I wouldn't have learned it from him. The seat belt barely fit me. Now, to be fair, I am fat. But, when I had to suck in to belt in, there was no slack on the end. The seat 31C has a busted aux port. I tried to watch a movie, first off the closed captioning didn't work. So I tried to listen. The aux port wiggled in it's casing and there was so much static that there was no point in listening. The off boarding process was very slow and uncoordinated. I understand that they have to off board in a certain order. However, the flight announcer could have kept the rest of the plane updated on the process. Instead we had to sit in claustrophobic silence and fidget while the line of passengers in the aisle did not move."

I thought there was more than one baby and was surprised to see all that was generated by one. Our attendant was a little snarky and dismissive. One entertainment screen was on the fritz, and the sound was messed up on the other, so we hacked them together to make one functioning system for one of us. The fly-fi was out of range for all but the last 30 minutes. The seats seem to be getting narrower, and I've lost weight!"

That showed sensitivity on their part that was refreshing. I know it is the holidays so its busy, and unexpected situations do arise during these times especially, so at least the credit provided some positive relief to the disappointment."
Cons: "I understand that maintaince is a necessary and usual part of flying planes every day, that said, I had booked the earlier flight for the purpose and intention of getting into Boston earlier to spend more time with my family but arriving 5 hours later than expected was disappointing. Needless to say, the traffic getting out of Boston at 4pm on a Tuesday only added insult to injury. This was also the second time that I had an underwhelming experience overall flying Jetblue so that added to the disappointment."

Cons: "First, the pre-boarding announcements were very difficult to hear and understand. The attendant spoke way too fast so that combined with the lack of clarity of the speakers made it almost impossible to understand what was being said. I have a hearing impairment so I need my husband to tell me but he too had trouble understanding the announcements. This was somewhat true during the announcements on the plane also, but less of a problem there. Let's face it, the audio systems really make things sound garbled so it is very important to speak clearly and slowly enough. I don't know how I could travel alone."
Cons: "Flight was delayed over 5 hrs. Not the airline's fault but waited in the help line for over an hr before the agent told me there was no earlier flight I could be placed on - she was incorrect. Pointed out that there was another flight that had also been delayed and therefore hadn't left yet - she agreed, put me on standby. At the gate, the boarding crew did not know what they were doing. The plane was 20% empty but crew made situation very hectic by giving standby passengers seats, taking them away, and then realizing there was actually enough room on the plane. Crew was friendly but incompetent in terms of problem solving."

We were making a move to Mexico from the U.S., and we were amazed at how pleasant the trip was. We had quite a few pieces of luggage, and everyone was extremely helpful. The crew and staff from both Delta and AeroMexico were great, and made our trip as easy as possible. Thanks to all!

The terminal on my ticket was different than the gate number. We went through security and had to take a 15 min shuttle to a different terminal. Why not just go through security there? There were also no attendants at the gate to discuss seat assignments. My husband and I didn’t have seats together. Try on board crew was great, but the airport experience was lacking.

Cons: "We had a connection in Detroit. The flight from Seattle to Detroit arrived about 30 minutes late, and we barely made the connection. Apparently Delta had not told the Detroit-Boston flight to wait a few minutes for us. We did make the connection, but we arrived at the gate with no seat assignment (we had been bumped the day before from our original flight because of a mechanical problem) as the plane was loading. Had we missed the flight, we would have had to spend the night in Detroit and go to Boston the next day. Delta should have told the gate agent that we were coming."

We asked the flight attendants twice for blankets and each time they said no. I know they had extra blankets but for some reason they did not give us one. I thought that sitting in comfort+ they'd at least give us the comfort of a blanket but I guess not... Oh well."
Pros: "Even though we were in the very back row, we did not experience a foul smell from the restrooms. This was a very nice relief. It is bad enough that the seats don't recline and there is no window in the very back row but prior experience with the added nausea of foul restroom order has been a serious insult to injury. In this case there was really minimal odor. Also since we are traveling as a family we are very happy that we were seated together. We have experienced the past that sometimes our seats will be fragmented and that creates major challenges when you are traveling with young children. However on this particular flight the ride was rough during both takeoff and landing, a lot of side to side shimmy. Also the cabin pressure varied quite a bit during landing causing all the kids to complain about some discomfort in their ears."
Pros: "About 10-15 yrs ago I stopped transatlantic flights on Delta. It was a scruffy airline with uninterested cabin crew & not to talk of food etc. What a change! Neat clean A330, friendly crew & food + beverages to brag (you pay outrageous prices on 'leaner-meaner' airlines if at all available). Loved the whole experience. Flying is not only getting from A to B & Delta has realized it. Looking forward to my next Delta flight!"

The boarding flight was going to LA!! Our flight was going out C11! I had to ask a woman to go into the restroom and yell for my wife to get moving! We made it but I don't know how. Did not feel,squished in the "comfort" or Premium Economy seats. In the lowered expectations world of modern air travel, this was relatively OK, which means I recommend it and would fly with them again."

Our flight was delayed by 7 hours

Red eye from LAX. The most uncomfortable First Class seats I have ever experienced. No blankets or pillows. One bag of chip-like objects and two beverages for the entire flight. It felt very stingy.

This flight was intense. It was overcrowded, people weren’t following Covid guidelines. And in general, was a mess due to young kids causing a lot of noise and disturbance. I ended up with a headache the entire flight because of it.

Most of the announcements in flight were muffled and hard to hear. The safety speech was really quite terrible. I think someone was torturing her to do it. Cons: "I am beyond stunned that our flight itinerary was changed from 3.30pm to 9.20pm with no notification. This is absolutely unreasonable and inexcusable made even worse that we had already had a very long journey from Milan to JFK with two small children. Evidently the issue was that we booked via a 3rd party off the kayak site and not directly with British airways. When American airways changed the flight from 3.30 to 3.25, the 3rd party company failed to file for our updated itinerary so British air/American air bumped us to the next flight at 9.20pm. We have long been loyal to kayak feeling it provides the best breadth of options and good pricing. Now we may use kayak to see all the options but I can’t booking directly with kayak anymore after this complete disaster. We ended up renting a car and driving from jfk to Boston, getting home 23 hours after our journey had started, stressed, beyond exhausted and now have to return the rental car. Thanks kayak."

The options United gave me would have had me missing the wedding, AA had more flights that allowed me to make it in time, considering it was booked 12 hours before take-off, it was decently reasonable and left on time and got in early (imagine that, United). Thank you American Airlines, again!"

However, on the flight from PHX to BOS, all seats in the economy class have the same leg room. The agent explicitly told us that on this plane all seats are the same. So, they offer product they do not have and collect money. Sounds like a scam to me."

At this point we were given no info or direction but to go talk to special services if we want to re-book a different flight (sold out until at the earliest 8:15pm). After about an hour they announce they are re-boarding the original plane, takes another 45 minutes to board the plane, then we are told two separate issues caused this lengthy delay one was a filter in the bathroom and the other was a thermostat... seems like very basic standard maintenance issues that could have been avoided with routine checks. We were offered zero compensation, the trip took over 6 hours in all to fly from Philadelphia PA to Boston MA; a trip I could have driven in less time. I continue to have issues with American Airlines and "mechanical" delays, the last flight i was on From Charlotte to Baltimore was delayed an hour due to a strap in the cargo area. I don't understand the logic behind the decisions made to hold the full plane over 5 hours instead of taking a 45 minute flight, but I will say the crew was very apologetic and handled the situation well."

I felt like third class boarder on the Titanic. United has become less than a Greyhound bus. They will NEVER be my first choice again! It was HORRIFIC I will go to ANY other airlines before them. P.S. the service at the Houston counter were rude and awful except for Ms. Edwards"

I was summarily woken up and told that it wasn't appropriate to sleep in a lounge. I complained at the front-desk (politely) and was told ... "This is a lounge". Oh and yes, the Wifi wouldn't connect and the food was stale ... so I left, and found a very nice sofa in the concourse. On the flight, service was non-existent, whoever was in the galley was clattering things about, despite the fact that this is a short red-eye flight ... the coffee was awful. The steward forgot to give me my coat and I had to ask twice AFTER we landed and were leaving the plane to get it. By contrast, Lufthansa has daybeds and a special quiet area to snooze, and offer pillows and blankets. Clearly, the Germans are louche compared to Americans."

I have the UA app, and did not receive timely notification. Free WIFI would have been nice as a compensation. A 4 hour delay means I miss my bus and extends my travel time significantly, one more night away from home. You did offer $50 of mt next UA flight for the next year, but I don't fly that often. Considering the reason for the delay was they were waiting for a plane was frustrating."

Cons: "When we made reservations in February we opted for economy plus seating 8C and 8D on an Airbus A320. In June we received notice of a schedule and equipment change to a Boeing 737-300. I was not told or given the option to change seat assignments, and we were assigned middle and window seats 28E and 28F, which were torture, so narrow and almost no legroom. Why weren't we automatically assigned economy plus seats? Adding insult to injury I had to apply for a refund for the seat upgrade, which again should have been automatic. Seeing as how the return flight was code-shared with AirCanada, United did not give us the option to upgrade seating, so I was forced to call United, waited almost 40 minutes so that they could give me the AirCanada booking reference number which then enabled me to upgrade seats via AirCanada's website. Lucky thing too because there weren't many economy plus seats left. I consider myself to be a savvy traveler, but there were too many unknowns and hoops to jump through in order to get proper seating. Plus the extra fees for premier access and baggage are exorbitant. Finally, I bought an egg white flatbread snack which was awful. I don't see how United gets away with this treatment, it certainly doesn't make for an enjoyable experience when vacationing. In fact we are seriously considering not taking any more vacations requiring flying. We're happy that airlines are profitable, but not at the expense of comfort or navigating options that require very sophisticated knowledge."

They made us wait seven hours and gave us a voucher for food at the last minute. People had already bought food. I would not recommend United to none of my associates."

I do not like having to waste time claiming my bag that you told me I could have with me on the plane. I can pay $25 for that privilege!! The flight attendants always seem like they have their defenses up. One even held up the people trying to board so she could serve a drink to someone in first class. REALLY?? They couldn't wait till the plane was loaded?? I gave this flight a 'good' rating because it was mostly as good as it is going to get with economy passengers needs stripped to the bare minimum."

This time 4 hours on my return flight to Boston due to a plane switch, boarding of a new plane to discover a mechanical issue, deboarding, waiting for a new plane, then boarding and sitting on the ground for another 40 min before we were able to take off. I was delayed 1.5 hours on the way to Chicago due to another plane swap (no joke). Still doesn't top but my worst 5 hour delay in Chicago on the way back to Boston because the captain didn't show up. United is atrocious and is my last choice or any airline. Only fly when I'm absolutely forced to now due to no other reasonable choices. They are below delta, JetBlue, American, southwest, and embarrassingly, spirit as well. Terrible."
Pros: "At least there was room to sprawl out and rest."
Cons: "We boarded our plane and during preflight check on the runway the captain learned there was mechanical error (in the right engine fuel something). The issue could not be solved and we had to change planes. On the second plane, the captain shared with travelers that "and two loose wires were found, so it's good we caught that and changed planes". What the heck? Shouldn't basic functions be checked before a plane is boarded? What was supposed to be a 1030 red eye, turned out to be a 1 AM bloodshot eye."
Pros: "Captain had apologized many times about the delay. I appreciated that. . Crew attitude towards customers were way better than my first leg.( Beijing to Chicago). I wonder why. Boarding took long time. Many people had no overhead bin for their carry on. I don't have one so I Just watched them. They serviced water and a tiny snack. One man asked if they have something to eat. He was given a bigger bag of snack, free, usually he had to pay. I guess its due to the delay. Waited a little longer for luggages. But I was happy I arrived Boston safe before midnight."

Keep in mind, this particular plane has no seat outlets nor in seat entertainment systems, so most people had either dead or dying phones at this point, rendering the "complimentary in flight entertainment" available through the United app useless. Once we were finally in air, we weren't comped drinks or Internet or any other amenity offered by United. I've been stuck in situations like this on other airlines, but they worked to provide the barest glimmer of hospitality. Fly the friendly skies? Cons: "Flight time was initially pushed back (booked for 11am, schedule change to 230) and then was over 90 minutes late departing. Very little information on the delay: why, when taking off and no apology."

Cons: "This flight was very short the entertainment was non existent, I dealt with a hour delay which made me arrive 3 hours later to where my final destination was. I chose the connecting flight so I could leave at the earliest possible flight. Due to the delay I ended up arriving in Boston way later and had to take the last bus and boat to get to Martha's Vineyard my destination. its just frustrating planning it all out only to have your plans almost ruined because of a delay."
Cons: "Arrived well before the recommended 1 hour in advance for the domestic flight. Lines to move through their security wrapped around the terminal on multiple floors. Called customer service for assistance and they reported there was nothing they could do. Reminded them that it is their responsibility to manage these types of issues such as telling passenger to arrive 2 hours ahead if they have been aware of this chronic issue. They told me they had no way of contacting the airline staff at the airport to assist us Completely unprofessional, poor customer care and inefficient. Will not be flying with United out of Newark NJ again. If it weren't for the friendly passenger in line who let us move ahead we would have missed the flight. Just made it before the gate to the aircraft closed."
Pros: "Boarding was done quickly and the crew members were great."
Cons: "I hate the fact that I had to pay for data just to see the map of where the plane is during my travel. Other airlines will at least give you a map to view as well as one or two free movies/show. They don't make you feel like your being forced to purchase data just to have a pleasant ride. I also hate the fact that I checked in my bag well before my flight (even had time to grab something to eat before boarding) and when I landed the airline informed me that my bag didn't make it on my flight. Like how does that even happen? Then tell me it's on a different flight, that landed 4 hours later. Well, my bag wasn't on that flight either but on a different flight that landed a few minutes later."
Cons: "Even though I downloaded the app, the WiFi wasn't available so there was no entertainment. Also, the flight was delayed over an hour."
