We are then asked to check our bag, and are forced to put our 1 bag between our legs, whole many people stored two overhead. Flight was delayed a few minutes and time was not made up in air. Delta changed a few of our flights before we were even off the plane, while other passengers were allowed to keep their original flight (originally we all had the same connecting flight). Looks to me like they overbooked and pulled some of us randomly. Also, my checked bag was sent on wrong plane, and sat unattended at next airport for 2 hours."

In general, AA could provide more accurate updates and boarding information for their flights. Generally it takes 25-30 minutes to turn the plane for the next outbound flight."

Needless to say we missed our connecting flight in New Jersey they shut the door and said we could not board, that's OK if that was the rules but what to do next was the problem, no one could seemingly help us.We had to walk around to find someone to help us to only be told that we can just get the next flight but we had to go to customer service to get re-ticketed which was making us missed even another flight the lines in customer service were extremely long and they were going extremely slow so I had to jump out of line and go to a gate in which someone help me get re-ticketed to catch the next flight. We were to have someone to meet us in London in which we had no way to connect with them to tell them we were going to be 2 to 3 hours late. Once we got on a flight the plane was clean, the seats were spacious enough for economy and the staff was friendly but coming through New Jersey was not what I would want to do again but I had a flight back coming through. The horror!"

What I don't understand is if you have a flight(s) that's delayed, you would think most companies will do anything and everything to make up for this, if possible. We ended up landing in Denver about fifteen minutes after original time and then had a plane in our gate so we were told it could be as long as twenty minutes. Thirty minutes later we were then waiting to have someone direct the plane into the gate. Forty-five minutes later we finally pull into our gate only to wait another fifteen maybe twenty minutes to have someone move the shoot closer to the plane and then open the door. A customer service manager was supposedly the only one that could perform this difficult task. It just seemed as if Frontier was providing us passengers with excuse after excuse that made no sense to anyone with half a brain. I finally got off the plane at 12:26 a.m. and I was in row five! So an hour and a half later roughly for everyone else AFTER already being forty minutes late departing Cleveland. I would be calling whoever I needed to repeatedly if I were the pilot or even co-pilot because most know that to get and retain customers FOR LIFE, you need to have and/or provide your customers as best as you POSSIBLY can when a situation like this arises. A lady sitting across the aisle from me said it was because Frontier is sharing gates with another company and still trying to get everything worked out. I don't care if that's the case or not but it needs to be worked out prior to putting your customers through such turmoil regardless the time of day or night it may be!"

I chose not to pay upcharge for an economy seat and ended up in a middle seat towards the tail of the aircraft! By the time I paid for my carry-on and premium seat on the return flight, my trip became as expensive as business class but got a very bottom deader service! Avoid this airline!"

Cons: "There was a "maintenance issue" with the plane. That can happen. But the way the airline handled it was the problem. Every couple of hours they would push back the departure time. After being delayed 6 hours they told us, "The plane IS REPAIRED, but the crew has timed out." So the departure time had to be pushed back another 3 hours. 15 minutes before that time elapsed they announced that, while they now had a crew, the plane wasn't actually fixed and they were going to bring in another plane in another 2 hours. Before boarding, they announced they needed to move some passengers to different seats, "because there were less passengers than originally scheduled" to balance the weight. This turned out to be a lie because it was a different plane model. I was moved from an upgraded seat to an unsatisfactory one with less leg room. When the plane finally did come in we sat on the tarmac for 60 minutes before taking off. They announced complimentary drinks AND snacks for the delay. And, while I don't get excited one way or another over a bag of peanuts, when the air-waitress came around and tried to charge me for the snacks and claimed that it had never been promised, it was really annoying. Delays happen. Please don't lie about what's going on."

Worst check-in experience of my life. This airline won't last long if they treat people this way. Their own staff appeared miserable and on the verge of homicide or suicide. No wonder."
Cons: "Everything was awful from the way they handled bags, to the communication about delays, to the delays themselves, to the failure to take care of passengers given the long delays. Before signing up for a Spirit flight, make sure you add the cost of checking carry-on bag, getting a seat assignment, getting any water during flight, boarding (yes they up charge for boarding). Then, make sure you factor in the small size of the airline which makes it far, far more vulnerable to weather delays - fewer planes, fewer pilots, fewer re-routes available. Also, add at least an hour to the end of each flight to get your bags if you do check them. So, you don't save money or time, and you're very vulnerable to weather and mechanical. With their organization this bad, I can only imagine how weak their mechanical is."

In the absence of pre-check (because Spirit airlines does not have that facility) we were in the security check line for a long time. Our grand- daughter was upset and crying. Fortunately, eventually someone from the security department came to our assistance and expedited her and her parents' clearance"

Their website is awful! It took me over 2 hours plus 2 customer service phone calls before I was able to check in for my flight. Completely disorganized at the airport. Under staffed. We arrived 2 hours early and barely made our flight. We were in lines so long we barely had time to use the restroom, let alone find any kind of food for the flight. Upon boarding, I witnessed one of the flight attendants being extremely rude and hostile to a female customer who was talking to her friend about how bad her Spirit experience was. A supervisor came back and instead of reprimanding the rude flight attendant, she told all of us that if the flight attendant didn't feel "comfortable" with any of us, we would be "removed" from the flight! The flight was delayed because they closed the cabin doors before 10 additional customers were able to make it through their ridiculous lines. Instead of apologizing for their incompetence, they blamed the customers for being late, despite the fact that at least one of them initially arrived at the same time we did (2 hours before the flight)! Oh and the flight itself was rickety as hell with screaming babies everywhere. I'm absolutely DREADING the return flight home. This is the worst airline ever and should be shut down as soon as possible."
