Cons: "We were delayed 2 times before boarding. We were delayed 1 more time while on the plane. The pilot told us there was equipment trouble that had been fixed, but there was paperwork to fill out and it would only be a few minutes...and then radio silence for 30 minutes before pulling back. The flight attendants rushed through the pre-flight announcents and I could only understand about 60% of it due to speed, volume and accent. Despite asking me for my drink order, it never came...and I only heard a few soda cans pop open at all. Did they just decide not to serve us? She even gave me a napkin for it. Luckily when they put the snack basket in front of me, there was a tiny bottle of water, which I grabbed...little did I know, that was all I would get. The flight attendants were just tapping in the back of the plane the rest of the flight. They didn’t even bother collecting garbage until we were on final approach. They also never did the normal checks before landing."

The pilot and the attendants saw that we were banging on the door and yet they just stared at us. The plane wasnt detached from the terminal which is why I didnt understand why they couldnt let me in unless they sold my seat. An attendant finally came out by the name of Chanel (the AD Lead). All she did is rebook me for 2 days later and told me that that flight might get cancelled due to the hurricane. She wasn't even trying at all to help me. She had a rude attitude and told me that she will be back to help me. Yeah right! She came back 3 hours later! I could not stand to even look at this unprofessional employee. I paid extra to fly jetblue as I have been told they have great customer service. Pshhhh.... I myself had to call jetblue and spoke to melinda (customer service supervisor) she was trying everything in her power and it really showed. An attendant came and started checking the next flight out of puerto rico to ft. Lauderdale. Melinda put me on stand by for the flight and ecen spoke directly to the Natalie who was checking guests on the flight. Two seats came available for me and my husband to get back to florida. We then rented a car and drove 4 hours back to tampa. I was just completely disgusted on how Chanel handled the whole situation. I told her that I had medical treatments the next morning in tanpa that I could not miss but yet she did not at all seem to care. As a lead I thought she would at least put me on stand by to go to ft. Lauderdale. That wasnt even an option for Chanel. She was completely worthless and had a stupid look on her face when she saw me get on the plane to fy. Lauderdale. Something she could have helped me with instead of saying she would be right back and left me for 3 hours later with no help. Jetblue, I say this in the kindest of ways, please fire chanel. People like that will only cost you guys more in the future as you will loose so much clientel due to the unprofessional conduct and customer service she gave. Hire more Natalie's and Melindas who help you regardless of the situation and not Chanel who didnt care and was a bother to her to put in the same type of customer service that Melinda and Natalie gave me."

I handed it to the individual right outside the plane to be stowed. How does the bag not get in the same plane?!?"
Pros: "Standard AA domestic flight. Once we were boarded and underway, things were fine. Crew was friendly, the aircraft was cleaned on the turn from the prior flight, and we didn't sit on the tarmac too long when arriving at DFW. Normal operations for AA domestic."
Cons: "Unfortunately, normal operations for AA domestic means boarding 20-30 minutes late, which delayed the arrival a bit. In general, AA could provide more accurate updates and boarding information for their flights. For example, if the inbound aircraft arrives at the time my flight should be boarding, I want to see an updated departure time, rather than maintaining the "on time" status right up until five minutes before the new boarding time. Generally it takes 25-30 minutes to turn the plane for the next outbound flight."

He had a warm smile the whole flight and helped me get an ice pack for my back when I was in pain. Every time he got something for someone he was smiling and happy which made me and my husband smile and happy. He should be recognized because he made our experience very enjoyable. I have never been on a flight where the service was constant, all of the flight attendants walked up and down the aisles throughout the flight making sure everyone was doing good. Typically, they go down the aisle with the service carts once and thats it, but they made sure everyone was taken care of for the whole flight. Thank you for the great flying experience after a long and tiring trip!! We were dreading the flight but the staff was great."
Cons: "Waiting in the Charlotte Airport for the flight to board was a bit irritating because the two girls that were supposed to call the sections for the flight were on their phones and not very present with what was going on. We boarded late and i am not sure if this is because the flight itself was late or they were just slow with the process.. The only thing I would complain about the flight itself is that we had to wait on our plane for about an hour after we landed. This, I know- has nothing to do with AA and the service/staff. I think this is something that SFO is responsible for, and I felt bad that people were taking it out on the crew."

My first experience with Spirit and may be the last unless they reimburse me. In LAX they make you check in "online" on a kiosk (presumably to save you time), then make you wait in line for another hour to drop your bag off. WTH? What's the point of that charade? Worst check-in experience of my life. This airline won't last long if they treat people this way. Their own staff appeared miserable and on the verge of homicide or suicide. No wonder."

The car seat was soaking wet and we had to use her blanket and some other clothing to make it partially suitable for her sit in her car seat. We fly 2-4 times a year on different airlines and with the pre-check status we are able to get through security rather quickly. In the absence of pre-check (because Spirit airlines does not have that facility) we were in the security check line for a long time. Our grand- daughter was upset and crying. Fortunately, eventually someone from the security department came to our assistance and expedited her and her parents' clearance"

I was treated, the moment we walked in there, like we treated people terribly and I must confess I can't stop thinking about it and it's not the way we are. The immediate blame placed on us was unfounded and unfare...this is not a bad day for someone...this is an attitude and one that is Cleary approved of by the company. The sad part is, when we share our experience, anyone we talked with had the exact same one."

Pros: "This was an excellent price to pay for a visit to my sister and brother in law who recently relocated in Tmpa Fla. My son lives in Cleveland so the Spirit flight was a perfect fit for making it possible to visit two close family members for a low low price. The fact that Spirit flies non- stop form Cleveland to Tampa is an added bonus. The luggage restrictions are fair for these prices. People complain about the space between seats but it sure beats 24 hours in a car seat!! I like the fact that the seats don't recline. This gives everyone a fair share of space."
Cons: "Well lets put it this way we get to the airport early like they say you should.Then check in bags prepaid then go through TSA to get to your gate everything looks good.We get something to eat take our time go back to gate to find out plane has been delayed from 11:55 to 12:53 ok no problem it happens sit around half hour go check again and delayed again 12:53 to 1:53 so now your thinking WOW now we understand why Spirit has the WORST COMPLAINTS then any other airlines. BUT YOU STILL CHARGE FOR EVERYTHING INCLUDING ALL SEATS, BOARDING PASSES, ALL BAGS INCLUDING CARRY ON BAGS.Under stand low rates but come on give us a break FYI last year different AIRLINE and 17 inches of snow on ground and left on time no problems , and NO EXTRA FEES just to sit on the plane, so you tell us should was the cheap rate worth it......Our time is JUST AS IMPORTANT as your airline.....and maybe if we HADN'T felt we'd been lied to about fee s the delay wouldn't have been so bad....."

Cons: "In one word everything. This was my first time flying with spirit and what a terrible experience. The gate attendant was rude and abrasive to begin with. Then we boarded the plane and sat at the gate for two abs a half hours for them to tell us we have to get off the flight. Then at1am they cancelled the flight. After 4 hours of the scheduled departure. Worst part is they did not accommodate anyone who needed to get to the destination as they have no affiliates and one flight a day only. Will never fly again with spirit."

Cons: "This time of year was spent more so in airports waiting for delays and dealing with bad weather and LACK of contingency plans to get THIS flight replaced since this worthless cheap company didn't offer a replacement within 24 hours of this CANCELLED flight. The problem with an airline is not about the price it's about dealing with customers who are STRANDED during the holidays. I had an international flight on the 31st to get back abroad where I study. It was upsetting the lack of service to get my flight rescheduled, it was highly unprofessional how they didn't have a rational solution to get back on the 29th of december. I wish this site, would take over and help us rebook our flight. The problem with our service from Spirit was they would reimburse both flights, but then I would have to go to an airport would be taking a risk to not get a flight when driving 1-5 hours to airports around throwing away valuable time. They said they would give a $50 voucher for a reduction in another flight, but this is NOT at all enough to compensate for the stress I (and my family) were put through. This is the worst experience with an airline I have ever had used. I would not EVER recommend this to anyone flying."

Cons: "if the plane had not been an hour late, this Spirit flight would have rated "OKAY". first time with them, and they lived up to their "a la carte" rep. i am sure i am not the first person to joke about this, but i was shocked that i didn't have to slip a fiver into a slot in order to use the toilet. with all the add-ons, there is absolutely no benefit price-wise to flying with them. if you are carrying one small item, traveling alone, not in a hurry, i bet you'd love 'em. but any normal adult would feel cramped/gouged/abused. what a weird business model - folksy/hip/sarcastic ad copy that jokes about the lousy treatment you can expect to receive. such is the new economy."
Pros: "My first time flying a low cost carrier, I was impressed. I hope Spirit realize those planes won't stay new forever and need to maintain the interiors to keep that new look. The staff in general were courteous and competent I would fly them again."
