That flight was delayed the following day. Was diverted to Baltimore only to find out only some of us on our flight are getting out by a rude agent. Then no information at all. Had to run to catch an amtrak. Later found out if I stayed I would have stayed another 13 hours in Baltimore. Missed work and had no one home to take care of my family. Oh, and travel insurance will not cover anything. The plane itself was falling apart. Seat was broken and dirty. Everyones lights were broken and it smelled."

Every country had a little different process for boarding and getting around - most had friendly staff, on point, helping clueless, stressed, & frustrated travelers. I was really disappointed in Atlanta, not a very welcoming or helpful spirit for visitors to US - not all (80% were awesome), mainly those trying to greet and direct through customs. Most hate the arrogant America anyway, don’t make it worse - put your best people on the front lines to help with international relations & show why the US is the best. Put those that don’t want to be here loading bags out back! Sorry for the lecture, but this is any business!"

The only flight to Manchester was the next night and would have gotten us to Manchester by 6pm. One reason I had stayed with Delta was although the ticket prices were higher the bags were free, now higher ticket prices and bag fees! Guess I will have to search for another air carrier. Delta is not loyal to me so I won't be loyal to Delta! Fuel is cheaper so they raise fees!"

Kayak and csfare basically told me sorry for your luck. I will not use this company again."

I had to rebook and get a hotel for the night on my own expense since American Airlines won't pay if it is weather related even though the weather was not the issue, rather air traffic control. The plane we got the next day was a smaller uncomfortable plane with zero entertainment and a crew that projected they would rather be anywhere else. I don't blame them, my experiences with American Airlines had been progressively getting worse."

I brought one bag, and a smaller than regulation one at that and I had to check it because other people were allowed to bring multiple bags. If you know a flight will be a tight squeeZe, limit people to one bag each."

The desk clerks were rude on every encounter."

The crew announced the inflight entertainment and gave directions on how to use it. Thirty minutes later, they informed us it wasn't working. So nothing to distract us from the horrible temps!!! Pull this aircraft out of service and fix the temperature!!!"

Cons: "We are two active duty members flying to take our son to our parents for us to get ready to go on deployment. When we arrived there the line was almost an hour and a half just to check bags we almost missed our flight. When we got to the counter ans told him we were both military flying on orders and asked to be tsa checked he had no clue what we were talking about so this kind woman helped him do his job, needless to say he was a manager. Once we got out tickets the seat assignment said see agent so we did. He hands us our tickets and we are a plane length apart. Let me mind you we both just left our child for a 8 month deployment overseas. We asked the guy if it was possible to get seats together wouldnt even acknowledge we were speaking to him. So we tried again he held his hand in my face and told me he serviced me and to please step back. Ive been bawling 2 hours straight from having to leave our son. So we stepped back. Then in the line this couple comes up and they were looking for seats together, i kid you not he gave them seats together! I will NEVER EVER fly united every again. Thank goodness for this kind gentle to switch me seats on the plane because i was crying i had to leave my fiance after i just had to say goodbye to our son for 8 months!! I was so shocked!!! I will tell every single person i know to never use united! You guys should be ashamed of our company! I will inform every active duty member i come across!"

Cons: "On my flight from Columbus to Houston on Dec 24 flight UA4938. I had a very unpleasant episode with one female attendant which yelled at me and talked in an un appropriate tone when I needed to use the toilet. There are manners and ways to say things and anyone would listened to them. As a customer I deserve respect, as they deserve respect from me. I am a frequent traveler and been flying basically all my life. And never encountered a flight attendant with such a bad attitude. I travel abroad the US several times a year. After this incident I am not sure if I want to fly with United again, if they make poor choices when they select their crew ."

Spirit doesn't want to reimburse and instead offered $50 voucher. $50?? That is how much they charge for 1 bag. Ridiculous. My first experience with Spirit and may be the last unless they reimburse me. In LAX they make you check in "online" on a kiosk (presumably to save you time), then make you wait in line for another hour to drop your bag off. WTH? What's the point of that charade? Worst check-in experience of my life. This airline won't last long if they treat people this way. Their own staff appeared miserable and on the verge of homicide or suicide. No wonder."

Cons: "My 16 month old granddaughter's car seat and stroller was supposed to be delivered at the gait, but instead was delivered at the baggage claim area. The car seat was soaking wet and we had to use her blanket and some other clothing to make it partially suitable for her sit in her car seat. We fly 2-4 times a year on different airlines and with the pre-check status we are able to get through security rather quickly. In the absence of pre-check (because Spirit airlines does not have that facility) we were in the security check line for a long time. Our grand- daughter was upset and crying. Fortunately, eventually someone from the security department came to our assistance and expedited her and her parents' clearance"
Pros: "This was an excellent price to pay for a visit to my sister and brother in law who recently relocated in Tmpa Fla. My son lives in Cleveland so the Spirit flight was a perfect fit for making it possible to visit two close family members for a low low price. The fact that Spirit flies non- stop form Cleveland to Tampa is an added bonus. The luggage restrictions are fair for these prices. People complain about the space between seats but it sure beats 24 hours in a car seat!! I like the fact that the seats don't recline. This gives everyone a fair share of space."

BUT YOU STILL CHARGE FOR EVERYTHING INCLUDING ALL SEATS, BOARDING PASSES, ALL BAGS INCLUDING CARRY ON BAGS.Under stand low rates but come on give us a break FYI last year different AIRLINE and 17 inches of snow on ground and left on time no problems , and NO EXTRA FEES just to sit on the plane, so you tell us should was the cheap rate worth it......Our time is JUST AS IMPORTANT as your airline.....and maybe if we HADN'T felt we'd been lied to about fee s the delay wouldn't have been so bad....."

Which I know is not their fault but they boarded the plane, it's what happened after that made me upset.. They had everyone get off the plane back to the terminal ..leave their belongings and electronics to get searched by k9s.. As you can imagine that was a long wait! Then it was a longer wait because the plane needed to get defrosted .. They could have done that while searching the plane.. No complimentary drinks were offered not even water. There was an elderly woman saying how parched she was.. Their response was we can give out water. I will no longer be traveling Spirit.."

After 4 hours of the scheduled departure. Worst part is they did not accommodate anyone who needed to get to the destination as they have no affiliates and one flight a day only. The problem with an airline is not about the price it's about dealing with customers who are STRANDED during the holidays. I had an international flight on the 31st to get back abroad where I study. It was upsetting the lack of service to get my flight rescheduled, it was highly unprofessional how they didn't have a rational solution to get back on the 29th of december. I wish this site, would take over and help us rebook our flight. The problem with our service from Spirit was they would reimburse both flights, but then I would have to go to an airport would be taking a risk to not get a flight when driving 1-5 hours to airports around throwing away valuable time. They said they would give a $50 voucher for a reduction in another flight, but this is NOT at all enough to compensate for the stress I (and my family) were put through. This is the worst experience with an airline I have ever had used. I would not EVER recommend this to anyone flying."

Cons: "Upon arriving at the airport, I was informed that my flight was canceled. They robotically said that the next flight isn't until over a week later (well after my scheduled vacation ends), and offered a refund as the only thing they could do. Frankly, a refund is literally the least they could do; there was no effort put into finding an alternate flight or offering other means of compensation for the inconvenience. Had I been in charge of this, I probably would have offered at least a voucher for a discounted future flight, so as to promote further patronage. When I asked why it had been canceled, they said some ambiguous nonsense about security in Fort Myers. When I then called Spirit Airlines, they said it was due to weather. Furthermore, the agent on the phone was equally unhelpful and uncaring as those in person. She explained that because I accepted the refund, there's nothing else they can offer. I tried to explain that those at the counter gave me a refund because it was the only option. In short, this was my first experience with Spirit, and I got the distinct impression that they had no interest in customer satisfaction whatsoever; they are solely in it for the monetary exchange. Once that transaction is complete, they want to be rid of you."

Upon landing, there wasn't a gate available; so we waited nearly an hour to de board the plane. The passenger next to me said that's happened 4 of the 5 times he's flown Spirit (1-3 hour waits!!). Lastly, our luggage took a considerably ling time to arrive at baggage claim. Although we landed by 6:43, it was 8:30 before I had my bag and could leave the airport."
