It is VERY important to be sited, although the seats are available you should be sited where your boarding pass directs you to be."

Cons: "Checking into Heathrow was interesting because they have automated systems to bag drop. I always like talking to a person which I could have done but was unaware. I had printed my boarding passes which then was sent to the automated line. That being said I had an issue with my carry on it was a literally too big because of the handle sticking out. So I had to check it. One of the women there was kind and sent met back to the British Airways check in section again to check it. She said don't worry it'll be free. So I went to the assigned line and a woman stopped me and told me I needed to stand with the rest of the people in the checked baggage line not the hand baggage line. I said I was sent to this line. She said well you're going to have to pay if it is too big. I said I was sent to this line because I was told it would be free to check it. Her attitude/tone was rude. Which for me was not ok. I had just landed in Heathrow from Newark and was starting jet lag, plus I literally was able to carry on my bag at Newark. Same company! I was trying my best to be kind but she just kept insisting that I was going to pay for the bag. I then stated that I already had paid for the bag! As I had paid for 4 and only checked 3! So if necessary this would be the 4th bag. Now I would not have had to do this if British Airways had allowed me to tack on my Athens trip to my Heathrow trip. When I found out they could do that they said it would be an extra $1025 to do so. I told them that I would just go through customs and get my bags and put them on the Athens flight. Of course I get to the counter and the woman there was wonderful and told me not to worry that it would be taken care of. So thank you to the woman who diverged a ridiculous argument over the handle not fitting in the cage. Moving forward boarding was interesting as I have never ridden in a train that takes you to the plane on the tarmac. It was a little long and VERY hot as they fill them to the brim and it was a good 10 min ride with people packed like sardines. When we got to the plane boarding was quick and efficient. The seating in that plane was very much like a spirit flight for close to 4 hours. There was a lot of turbulence and the landing was a little hard but that's to be expected in planes."

Cons: "I used to live in London in the past, and commute with BA routinely, without any considerable issues. With this in mind, I booked this flight through the american site as I now live in the US. Big mistake. Even though I'm still a BA member and I checked in 24 hours prior to departure on the minute, I had no way of choosing a seat, in fact I had to pay to change my assigned emergency exit aisle seat. Secondly, there was a 5,5 hour delay, due to fog, which affected BA but not Easyjet or Aegean flying the same route at the same time, leaving me looking at all the other passengers taking off while I waited at the airport without any notice from my company. This resulted in me getting a debilitating migraine, for which I had to request painkillers on the plane. For anyone who hasn't done this before, despite how helpful the staff are, there's always "procedure" to be followed and papers to be signed before obtaining tylenol. Finally, when I contacted BA customer service to request a refund for this trip, considering if I had booked with any other airline I wouldn't have gone through all that, I was told it was my fault for not carrying painkillers and they "absolutely do not reimburse" such situations involving the weather. All in all, this was the last BA flight I will ever book and I am happy to go back to the US where customer service has an actual meaning and passenger wellbeing is always a priority."
"The plugs were not working in the flight and since they’ve taken out the screens even in first class it makes it kind of useful when you have to use your own device. I also found my cushion to be loose and sliding all over. Overall the flight was good. The crew was great. The lack of amenities and the state of the plane left more to be desired. At least Delta you can use WiFi for free a little as well as getting messaging services for free."

Pros: "Crew was amazing, seats were comfortable. Only negative is out of your control - bad weather in DFW held up departure 5-6 hours. Much of that was on the plane, but crew kept us notified. We had to return to the gate and wait another couple of hours. Awful trip, but not your fault. What I was surprised by was no comp hotel, and the discounts were not rally good discounts."

We spent two hours with them and on the phone trying to work out different options to get home sooner, when they brought the flight back again, cancelled it again and then eventually brought it back. The customer service agent on the phone said the flight was on, while the agent on the ground said it was cancelled. They were all confused. Caused an unnecessary amount of stress and work. Would make me think twice about ever flying with American again"

Cons: "My son was flying on United from Colorado Springs to Denver, then on to Seattle for Thanksgiving. He rushed through as quickly as he could, but the door to the place was closing and it left 10 minutes early. United recorded him as a 'No Show', and there policy now is to cancel the entire ticket is you miss any segment of a round trip ticket. Thus, his entire $900 was forfeited, he couldn't even pay a change fee to catch a later flight. I hate American, and now I hate United just as much. These airlines shills have been allowed to go out of business when they last filled for bankruptcy. We fly in quite a few international airlines, and outside of Alaska, Jet Blue and Delta, maybe Southwest, US carriers are absolutely bottom of the barrel and it's clear that their employees don't care whatsoever. Will never book again in United or American. I'll try Amtrak before either of those carriers."

Cons: "The flight from Newark to Athens was interesting. The flight changed gates at the last minute. The plane was towed to the new gate, then we found out that it was going to be delayed an additional hour due to required maintenance checks. Actually, I don't mind the additional maintenance checks, I want to arrive alive! We arrived in Athens 90 minutes after our expected time. We got seats in the exit row, however, we couldn't really enjoy the extra legroom for 2 reasons: 1) The exit hatch was right in front of my girlfriend who was sitting near the window. She couldn't extend her feet without kicking the door (I big no-no at 35,000 feet). 2) Our row was right in front of the bathrooms, so I had constant traffic bumping me in left shoulder and lines of people literally standing in front of me for the majority of the flight while waiting for their turn to use the bathroom. They are stepping on my feet constantly or passing gas in my face (I wish I was kidding)."

Good thing I have noise cancelling headphones. Limited selection of movies and for some reason I could not locate any song or music categories."
Cons: "Delayed flights leading to incredibly tight connection times, staff inconsistent with messaging re the source of the delay, zero compassion for customers, offering $700-$1,400 to get off the plane when you charge $200 to change a flight 2 weeks in advance is especially galling! Will not fly with United again whenever there is a viable alternative to my destination."

Cons: "The last two times I traveled ( I flew with United Airlines ) and both times my flights were delayed. The first time it was delayed by 4 hours and made me miss an appointment. The second time it was delayed by over 13 hours. It was nice that United had put me in a hotel room for the night, but again it took away from time in which I needed to be somewhere else."

Pros: "I typically dont fly with united, and this was a typical experience, staff was not friendly, terminal and gate change at last minute after I walking all the way to the gate, then another delay after we were boarded, now this was more airport related then United, but after they told us it was a 45min delay someone asked if we can use our phone or computer and the answer was a stern no with no explanation until someone got really upset, just not a professional experience, and this was why I don't fly united. But I had no choice this time."

Cons: "I wasn't informed when I booked that the flight was operated by Air Canda's budget variant, rouge, and not Air Canda as was listed on Kayak. I had no option to select seats, and when we boarded I was seated on the last row by the galley with no reclining seats and the florescent lights were on nearly the whole time on a 10 hour overnight flight. There are no seat back TVs and the free streaming service went down repeatedly just like the AC outlet at our seats (there are only two of these for three people). I booked this trip nearly a year in advance, and I am extremely disappointed that I wasn't informed that I was flying a budget airline on a 10 hour flight."
Pros: "My flight out of COS was delayed by 3 and a half hours yet my connecting flight was on time. They were unable to get me another connecting flight without me being held up and landing at the wee hours of the morning. It wasn't until I demanded an upgrade from United that I was placed on an American Airlines flight. This would never have been offered if I didn't go off on the representative and demand it. American Airlines saved the day! Never again will I fly United."

When I got my parents their tickets I was very apprehensive that it might be difficult making the connections but thanks to United's wonderful service their whole experience was fantastic. In the future I will always try to book United."
