we missed our connecting flight in Chicago to salt lake because the first flight left late, the customs lines took over an hour, and the layover time was barely long enough to recheck our bags walk to our gate across the airport. WE NEED REIMBURSEMENT FOR THE NEW FLIGHT WE HAD TO BOOK TO GET HOME
The plane was extremely large and the seats weren’t too comfortable. There was no in flight entertainment.
The breakfast on the flight needs improvement.

The plugs were not working in the flight and since they’ve taken out the screens even in first class it makes it kind of useful when you have to use your own device. I also found my cushion to be loose and sliding all over. Overall the flight was good. The crew was great. The lack of amenities and the state of the plane left more to be desired. At least Delta you can use WiFi for free a little as well as getting messaging services for free.
Pros: "Crew was amazing, seats were comfortable. Only negative is out of your control - bad weather in DFW held up departure 5-6 hours. Much of that was on the plane, but crew kept us notified. We had to return to the gate and wait another couple of hours. Awful trip, but not your fault. What I was surprised by was no comp hotel, and the discounts were not rally good discounts."
Cons: "Most of my issues were ATC problems, not AA. The AA personnel kept us informed, etc. The one thing you can control is hotels if delayed to the point of missing all connection until the next afternoon. I understand not compi9ng BUT, when google maps shows better rates at local hotels than your "discount" program, that's sad."

Cons: "When I booked the flight, I hadn't realized that British Airlways had contracted the flight out to be operated by American Airlines. The flight was delayed in Paris and I ended up missing my connecting flight through JFK to DC. Though we were told on the plane that we would be given assistance upon landing and helped in an expedited manner through customs, instead I was briefly informed I had missed my connecting flight, handed an envelope, and told I needed to now travel to Laguardia Airport. No other information or assistance was provided. I was not given a reason why I needed to travel an hour in NYC traffic to switch airports nor was I given any help through customs. The shuttle I was told to take was unable to take me to the correct terminal, so I needed to get on a secondary shuttle. Again, after a 7 hour international flight, little assistance or aid was provided. I was barely able to make it through security in time to catch the new flight. Additionally, the actual flight from Paris to JFK lacked basic in-flight entertainment that almost any international flight would have. I will not be traveling on American Airlines again, and I am hopeful that Kayak and BA will be more clear in the future."

It's just a job for them to get by and it shows. Many including myself isn't big fans of AA. I wish this airline gets bought out by Southwest who understands value and elite customer service. They don't charge every little thing like American. I hope soon they can fly into Colorado Springs."

My flight was delayed then It was cancelled, then it was re-scheduled with a 6 hours layover the next day. It took 20 hours instead of 13 hours to get to my destination. I had chosen a flight that I paid $400 extra to make it earlier with a 2 hour layover because I was going to a funeral. I barely made it. It was awful and stressful and the Air Canada customer Service was just ok. I talked to three different agents trying to book and rebook and rebook again. They give me to $10 meal coupon for my troubles!!!!!!
Delayed 4 time once in gate area Delays would be announced after the boarding times posted on the gate screen. So poor communication. No nearby food and very limited food in the F gates. So had been in airport terminals from 8 am to 9 pm when we finally boarded without being able to get food. (We hurried from customs to the gates with out stopping because we were told our flight would board in 30 minutes). Then once on the plane… sat at the gate for 30 or more minutes without an explanation. Just glad the flight was not canceled.

Boarding passes had zones on them, but these were totally disregarded in boarding. This resulted on overcrowding, long waits, etc. Hard on older people!"
