I understand that weather delays are essentially out of airlines' hands. However, if the delay is caused for other reasons like "mechanical issues", or any other errors or miscommunications within the airline itself, then they should be held liable. My time is worth money, so any delays not weather-related should result in a reasonable refund based on the duration of the delay. An apology doesn't placate customers' frustration and inconvenience due to delays."

We had previously booked and paid for Main Cabin extra seats in the second row that included extra leg room and free drinks. We ended in an airplane with two exit rows, one near the front and the other near the back. Our seats were right behind the rear exit row in the back of the plane. The seats did not recline and there was limited leg look because the exit row seats were aligned differently due to the crew seat next to the door. Also, the bathroom was right in front of the row in front of us and so it was busy, noisy and smelled. Obviously we didn't get our free drinks either. Now I'm having to fight with American trying to get a refund of the money we spent for the Main Cabin extra fees. The fun never stops. I will never fly American again."

The boarding staff stood over me and told me to throw stuff away in my backpack and asked why I had packed certain things. I am in the process of moving back to the US from Korea after two years so everything I had was everything I owned in the world - which included some sentimental things like a stuffed animal from my mother who passed away when I was three years old. The most infuriating part of this however was realizing that there was one other bag in my overhead bin. In fact most of the overhead bins had one to two bags and plenty of room. My repacking and humiliation was unnecessary and it was only for the morbid satisfaction of the lady at boarding demanding it. At one point I heard her talking with her coworkers about “why couldn’t they freaking listen. We announced it three times.” Well I had approached the counter prior to arrival and they told me to get back in line when I tried to ask about my purse and backpack. In additional to the frustration of all of that, I received my checked in luggage with a wheel missing. I had just bought it and now I have to ship a wheel from the vendor in South Korea or buy new luggage. Thank you guys so much for letting me know which airline to never fly with again."

Cons: "This was a plane with central screens along the aisle, and the airline chose to broadcast a sci-fi action movie with almost constant flashing blue light, and violent action scenes. This was first of all a movie that many people, including me, would never choose to watch, but since it was on the aisle screens there was no getting away from it. It was also unsuitable for children, even without sound. But mainly, I object to the showing of any film in that situation - only aisle screens available, and on a night flight where most of the passengers are trying to sleep. I was awakened several times by the flashing lights. Other things: one of the bathrooms was not very clean, and the plane felt like the usual cattlecar, with just 3 seats on each side of the aisle, which is unusual and unpleasant for a transatlantic flight."

He rushed through as quickly as he could, but the door to the place was closing and it left 10 minutes early. United recorded him as a 'No Show', and there policy now is to cancel the entire ticket is you miss any segment of a round trip ticket. Thus, his entire $900 was forfeited, he couldn't even pay a change fee to catch a later flight. I hate American, and now I hate United just as much. These airlines shills have been allowed to go out of business when they last filled for bankruptcy. We fly in quite a few international airlines, and outside of Alaska, Jet Blue and Delta, maybe Southwest, US carriers are absolutely bottom of the barrel and it's clear that their employees don't care whatsoever. Will never book again in United or American. I'll try Amtrak before either of those carriers."

I am very distraught that the information indicating there was an embargo restricting the transportatione of TV greater 32 inches or boxes to Montego Bay was not given during any of those calls.. I don't understand why that information was not sent in an email prior.. On top of that I placed a call to customs in Montego Bay and was adviced that the embargo is enforced by the airline not customs... If I could some how get some answers regarding this I would appreciate it..."

I booked a flight that later had to be moved back 2 days due to a schedule conflict. I was not refunded on the cancelation AND I was charged an additional $109 cancelation fee! The airlines lost my rescheduled flight request and I had to make a new reservation in haste upon the evening of my flight at a significantly higher price. I don't think that it's likely that I will be flying Spirit any time soon"

I checked the flight status before leaving my house at 2am and the flight was still on time. After driving 2 hours to the airport and going through security I found out that my flight was being delayed 7 hours and no representative was even at the gate to speak with. All I was given was one $14 meal voucher which didn’t even cover a full meal at the airport. It’s told that the issue was mechanical but I later found out that te first flight had been over booked and the 1pm flight didn’t have enough people on it so they made everyone on at 6am flight wait until 1pm to fly out. Once on the plane, the seats were hard and uncomfortable and the plane was cold. I am extremely disasiflied and will never use Spirit again."

Cons: "For me the seats were too small. I am 6ft3in 200 slim pounds. If i could of gotten an isle seat or emberency door and picked my seat ahead of time even paid more for it would of helped. Getting to check in early does not get you a spicific seat. A child can be put in an isle seat whereas an adult can be put at the window seat slighty more cramped."

Cons: "I booked one ticket from Denver to Baltimore, but found out I would be charged twice ($80 in total) for checking one bag. While i did have a layover in Chicago and this indeed was only one trip, Spirit denied this and said that since I had a layover, they were two separate tickets. This is unacceptable. My ticket said Chicago was a layover. It is absurd to be charged twice for baggage on one single trip. Last time I fly Spirit!!!"
Pros: "I read so many reviews that- in other words- said the Spirit experience was awful that i went to the airport prepared for the worst. Turns out I was wrong. Friendly staff, quick line to drop off baggage, quick boarding process and the clerk at the gate changed our seats so we could be together and gave us the 3rd row. Nothinng bad to say about this airline."

Cons: "The seats were small and not comfortable. I understand selling food but would have appreciated a free choice of water, coffee, tea or juice. I won't be flying with Spirit airlines again. Their low prices are offset by excessive tricks to earn more through baggage charges, seat selection, etc. I was pleased however not to be charged for looking out the window."
Cons: "I didn't like the baggage policy. I didn't like the check in policy or the fact that they don't support TSA precheck because they hope to sell you on an additional fee that will get you through a prority lane. I didn't like the seats which are hard plastic, close together, and don't recline. I didn't like the mini tray table that wouldn't support my laptop so I couldn't work. I didn't like that Spirit falsely advertises with the tag line "LESS MONEY, MORE GO" when the base fare for my connecting flight on this sub-par airline was more expensive than a direct flight on a better airline-before the other fees were added."

Cons: "The flight was delayed 3 hours due to leaky breaks and they didn't have the air on so we all sweat to death until someone decided to flip the ac switch 2 hours in. The tickets are so cheap cause you have to pay for eeeeeeeeeeeverything! You have to pay for a carry-on, a drink, to have the service desk check you in, etc. I'm surprised they don't have a coin-lock on the bathrooms or individual oxygen masks that they charge you for."

Cons: "They charged $110 for golf clubs and a small suitcase. My flight was going to be on time but the decided to give that plane to the people heading to Vegas because they had been delayed all morning. Spirit told us we would be delayed four hours, then 30 minutes later they said the flight was completely cancelled. I had to go back to the main terminal to pick up my bags and had to go to the Spirit Airlines ticket counter to rebook and get a refund. The line was so long and slow it would have taken hours to talk to someone from Spirit. I called Customer Service and was on hold for 50 minutes before I could finally get refunded. This made me miss the last Spring Training game in AZ! I've been flying for 35 years and this was the worst flying experience in my life!"

Cons: "We had an hour and a half delay! They made us sit in the airplane due to some paper work and could not fuel the plane until everything was done. The excuse they used was that the paper work was "new" and that is why there was delays. The inside of the plane began to get hot and a passenger was so red to her face she was about to pass out. In addition there was no running water in the restrooms."

Cons: "From the lack of representatives and overall procedure to board the plane, I could not be more disappointed and annoyed. The flight attendants talk too much on the over head speaker, the seats too tight (even for me at 5'3-120lbs), the fees are outrageous. It's worth to buy at a more reputable airline. I arrive 13 minutes before my flight takes off and the door closes 15 minutes, so be prepared. Especially since it's the representatives and broken kiosk that make you run late. Now, since there is one Spirit plane I have to wait an additional 24 hours to head back to Chicago. I've now been here 48 hours past my stay. Save yourself the headache. Don't do it. I don't foresee this company staying in business very long. It's my own fault. I didn't listen to my friends. You get what you pay for."

I should have flown on United, since the price was the same or less due to zero fees for baggage. And the aircraft seeting overall was not comfortable and up to date. Seemed rather old and worn."
