We were never asked about the infant traveling until we went to check in at the desk and were told we needed to pay taxes for the baby at a rate of 10% of the cost of the ticket. But because we were doing it on the day of the flight, 10% was almost $200! We did not receive good customer service from staff, who simply told us we "should have known to investigate this." We have never been asked to do this when flying with a baby before! This was after an hour and a half of already waiting to check in our bags. We were waiting so long and dealing with this issue for so long that we almost missed the flight! A terrible experience. Also, the web check in line took even longer than the line of people who had not checked in online beforehand! It was so slow, it added to us almost missing our flight. It was a waste of time to check in online, especially since they gave us new boarding passes when we checked our bags in anyway. We also had trouble finding both of our reservations, even though we booked them together as a family, so we ended up with seats that were not together. When we had an issue, we were given an attitude by the staff checking us in."

They made us wait on the plane, a completely booked flight, for 30 min without air conditioning (in Panamá, where the temperature is insufferable)! Later, we had to wait on the runway another 20 min, still lacking air conditioning. Finally, we spent almost the entire flight with our empty meal trays sitting in front of us. RIGHT when the captain announced "flight crew prepare the cabin for landing", the crew ran through to pick up the trays and trash. In total, it was a very uncomfortable flight."

So much fun to be delayed 3.5 hours so you land at 12:12 a.m. CT and then discover there are planes stacked on the tarmac but no open gates. We’ve been sitting in a hot plane for 1:20 and have no estimate when we’ll get a gate. This was poor gate management by American Airlines and DFW. Every AA flight I am on of late has been problematic at best.

American Airlines tried to help and eventually were able to accommodate me through purchasing a new ticket and ensured my husband and I were still sitting together. Kayak and csfare basically told me sorry for your luck. I will not use this company again."

Also, my destination (Greenville) was only 90 miles from Charlotte, the connecting airport (unbeknownst to me). AA should have offered the option of driving to my destination."

Cons: "My flight was delayed 4 times from Columbus to Chicago due to an ATC issue in Chicago. On the 4th delay announcement I had to rebook my international flight for the following day because my connection was leaving Chicago while I was still in Columbus. I had to rebook and get a hotel for the night on my own expense since American Airlines won't pay if it is weather related even though the weather was not the issue, rather air traffic control. The plane we got the next day was a smaller uncomfortable plane with zero entertainment and a crew that projected they would rather be anywhere else. I don't blame them, my experiences with American Airlines had been progressively getting worse."

Cons: "I was advised by customer service agent over the phone that it would only cost me $100 for an extra bag on my flight and that it would remain the same whether i paid it online or at the airport. However, at the airport i was told that the extra bag is $200. My office agreed to paying for the extra bag only for $100. Now I am out of pocket with $100. So disappointing."

Then on the flight the only beverage service was almost non-existent because the flight attendants rush by rather than actually wanting to give anyone a beverage. Several people including me had connecting flights yet no one bothered to help us get to them on time. I barely made it to mine but several people probably did not as we got there 5 minutes before their flights were to take off."

Pros: "Our family of four took this nine and a half hour flight on a day when it was important we stay awake. The inflight entertainment helped. My husband watched three movies, my kids and I played games (often together), and we used the accurate flight tracker to monitor our status. The food wasn't bad at all. Lunch was either chicken or pasta (which my son and I enjoyed) and we had wraps for snack (chicken or veg, which were very good). The beverage service was good and they came around a couple of extra times with water. The flight staff were friendly and helpful. My son is special needs and they were very accommodating."

And then boarding was actually onto a bus which carried us out to the plane. Boarding was in front and back of the plane, but deplaning was only at the front of the plane, which took forever and we had a connecting flight. Word of advice: don't try to connect with less than two hours if you're heading to the US. We had at least four checkpoints to go through. (But that clearly wasn't on Air Canada and they, in fact, had someone at Customs watching out for us.)"

Few staff to deal with issues and no familiarity with DC airports, IT support for the few staff available was poor. At re-booked flight gate, the area service desk unattended for an hour; finally found a helpful ground crew who said they are on break and got staff to service the desk, albeit grudgingly. Several flights delayed, in the horrible Gates F-84-99 area; confusion reigned supreme. Staff needs to understand that Dulles is way west of DC and BWI is way NE, so getting re-routed from Dulles to BWI is MAJOR change in ground transportation options and distances. Also need to update IT programming so staff can use it easily without long waits and calls for help. and some air conditioning in the F 84-90 gates area would be nice. Horrible situation--not enough seating, only service in whole area is one bagel shop."

We were assured by the flight attendant that when a flight is delayed and has connections, they communicate that to the gates and we would be fine. It was the OPPOSITE of fine. We landed with 10 minutes until the flight to Costa Rica left and they let all of us who were connecting deplane first, only to run full speed to a gate who’s plane left 10 minutes EARLY and decided that it was not going to wait for the 12+ passenagers who had no control of the delayed flight. My fiancé and I were flying to our WEDDING. So now I’m sitting here in Houston for a full 24 hours waiting for the next flight to take me to my wedding. The only “accommodation” united airlines gave us was a hotel. No compensation for the night we paid for at our resort in Costa Rica that we are missing, no upgrades to a better class on our new flight and no reassurance on how terrible they feel for this giant and heartbreaking inconvenience. I am furious."

Cons: "Our originally scheduled flight out of CMH was cancelled within minutes of getting through security. We were told to wait for another flight-which was scheduled to depart 3 hours EARLIER, but had yet to depart. 3 hours later THAT flight cancelled, and we were rebooked for a flight the following day. So we were out our first night's accommodations as well as transportation to/from the airport that day. The next day we boarded our scheduled flight, sat on the tarmac for awhile, then went back to the gate and de-planed for some unknown reason. We were then re-booked on a different airline. THAT flight was then delayed, which would have caused us to miss our connection to EDI. The ticket agent worked for an hour to find us a flight to EDI that wasn't going through Newark (delays from hell) or Chicago (weather from hell). She finally put us on a flight with an all-too-brief layover in Amsterdam after a connection in Detriot. At this point we have boarding passes coming out our arses, It's 5pm and I haven't eaten since 9am, and we're STILL not out of our departure city. Our projected arrival time was going to cost us ANOTHER night's accommodation, as well as cause us to miss previously paid for engagements. 2 more delays allowed us to finally land in our destination about 40 hours after our original itinerary, with no apology or effort to amend the situation in any way."

Cons: "We each had one bag- a backpack for him and an incredibly small roll bag for me. We were told we absolutely had to check the roll bag as space was limited. There were 3 off duty flight attendants sitting next to me and each had 2 large bags. Multiple other people had multiple oversized bags they were allowed to carry on. This infuriates me. I brought one bag, and a smaller than regulation one at that and I had to check it because other people were allowed to bring multiple bags. If you know a flight will be a tight squeeZe, limit people to one bag each."

Cons: "During my round trip my flight was delayed 4 times and canceled twice. On the first cancellation I had to get a hotel room because the next flight wasn't for 24 hours. Then, that flight was canceled but the booked me on another airlines. At first they were going to make me wait another 24 hours until I had told her that I had already did that once. The desk clerks were rude on every encounter."

Cons: "The temperature control was ridiculous!!! One minute it was 40 degrees and the next it was 90. People were putting on coats and hats, taking them off and putting them back on the entire flight. It was horrible and there was NOTHING relaxing about this flight bc of it. The crew announced the inflight entertainment and gave directions on how to use it. Thirty minutes later, they informed us it wasn't working. So nothing to distract us from the horrible temps!!! Pull this aircraft out of service and fix the temperature!!!"

Cons: "Compeltly ridiculous that you had to pay for every single thing. I think the only complimentary thing was cranberry juice and water. Paying for entertainment and wifi with seperate fees felt really cheap and tacky along with the plane itself. It was run down and looked and felt even more that way when you're competing with flights from companies like JetBlue where they work to make you feel comfortable and provide free entertainment. We also were an hour delayed and sat on the runway for an hour before we left due to too much traffic over Cuba. It felt as a customer that it was poor planning on the companies part and that that could have been avoided earlier. Companies that put effort into a comfortable flying experience and care about customer satisfaction will be getting my money in the future. United would be my last choice when make travel plans in the future."

Cons: "We are two active duty members flying to take our son to our parents for us to get ready to go on deployment. When we arrived there the line was almost an hour and a half just to check bags we almost missed our flight. When we got to the counter ans told him we were both military flying on orders and asked to be tsa checked he had no clue what we were talking about so this kind woman helped him do his job, needless to say he was a manager. Once we got out tickets the seat assignment said see agent so we did. He hands us our tickets and we are a plane length apart. Let me mind you we both just left our child for a 8 month deployment overseas. We asked the guy if it was possible to get seats together wouldnt even acknowledge we were speaking to him. So we tried again he held his hand in my face and told me he serviced me and to please step back. Ive been bawling 2 hours straight from having to leave our son. So we stepped back. Then in the line this couple comes up and they were looking for seats together, i kid you not he gave them seats together! I will NEVER EVER fly united every again. Thank goodness for this kind gentle to switch me seats on the plane because i was crying i had to leave my fiance after i just had to say goodbye to our son for 8 months!! I was so shocked!!! I will tell every single person i know to never use united! You guys should be ashamed of our company! I will inform every active duty member i come across!"

Call ______ for rebooking flights.” It wasn’t until I found a worker for another airline that I found out that meant the desk didn’t open until two hours before the flight. Then, the agent printed out my luggage tags 8 or 9 times before she finally sent me to another agent to print it correctly. I paid extra to sit in the legroom seats (1F). When I boarded, it turns out I was reassigned to 5F with no explaination. Cramped seating with my knees against the seat in front of me and the seats do not recline. I will be requesting a refund for the extra fee paid. I understand, you get what you pay for, but I was disappointed."

It was impossible for me to sleep during my 3 1/2 hour flight to Las Vegss. Each bag you brought must be paid for whether it was checked or carry on. My original ticket price was $241. With the $60 bag fee and $16 additional seat fee ( I did not reserve one on the way home, so there was no additional charge for that direction). My total was $317. I would have preferred a larger airline with reclining chairs and free movies."

I was asked to move seats because frontier messed up a family's seating assignment. Then when we arrived in Denver we sat in the plane for almost an hour because our gate wasnt available for our plane because we were late. I will NEVER fly frontier again. Terrible experience. I want my money back."

Also, on the return flight, we somehow arrived an hour early and then had to sit on the tarmac again for close to an hour before we could get off the aircraft. This was a terrible experience with Frontier."

Cons: "I am very concerned with the staff of Frontier as how they could let not one, but two passengers on their flight who are CLEARLY past the legal limit of being intoxicated. I had two passengers, mother and daughter, who were in front, and beside me who were stumbling while walking to their seats, had slurred speech, and absolutely reeked of alcohol. I had made a point to one of the flight attendants about it, they did not do anything more than shrug it off, and then not only did I point that out, they went ahead and served them more alcohol 20 minutes later into the flight! More specifically two Coors and two small bottles of Vodka for the woman sitting next to me, and a Coors for the woman in front. They were causing me discomfort by making their drunken jokes, but the woman next to me made no due regard to personal space (which I get the airline at that point cannot control). However, the woman to my side had been alot less touchy-feely prior to receiving more alcohol. Not to mention I had paid the extra money for the assigned seats, which were added on to our total charges, but suddenly disappeared when I received my itinerary online. I will never book through this agency, or fly Frontier again."

Pros: "My 'one stop flight ' going turned out to be a 24 hour layover at the stop. No adequate explanation was provided to me or the 30 others stuck there. We were put up at a motel and most of us had no toothbrush, comb, or diapers and baby formula to get us thru the next day. A vacation day is precious. Staff gave erroneous information. The flight back was uneventful except that we waited at the gate for 45 minutes and then moved to another gate. This airline charges for everything, even a beverage."

The cabin was very clean and the flight crew very professional and friendly. Both flights were on time, I might add. Would definitely choose Frontier for my next flight."

Lots of KUDOS to all the Frontier people that I came in contact with. Will fly with you again.
