Cons: "Too many pasengers had carryons. Lots of confusion on the plane for storage"
Pros: "Staff were ok."
Cons: "Flight was 3 hours delayed but they delayed it 30 minutes at a time. Giant lines to board, poorly organized. Flight overbooked. Finally we were seated and they announce another 30 min delay because the “casseroles” weren’t hot. Flight attendants were clumsy and dropped ice on my head. Tiny seats."
Cons: "Air Canada only offered drinks during the flight. If you do not have a credit card with you, you can not eat anything. the flight was 4 hours and 45 minutes but there was a problem, this detour was an additional 2 hours and 30 We were a total of almost 7 hours inside the plane and without eating any"
Pros: "I liked the food"
Cons: "Crew could have been more available. Once we took off, rarely to be seen."
Cons: "Food at Air Canada. Very bad."
Pros: "on time"
Pros: "The flight was delayed more than 9 hours. We arrived at the original departure time because I did not have internet access to receive emails about the delay. We wait at the terminal all day, and we did not get food or drink. I will never choose this airline."
Pros: "There were no hiccups and we arrived to the destination on time"
Cons: "Dirty seats, seemed like they had not been cleaned"
Pros: "There seems to have been improvements to the check in and boarding for disabled disabled passengers like myself at Pearson. Much easier to drop off luggage and move quickly to the wheelchair pickup area. Staff were courteous and efficient."
Cons: "Spacing between seats continues to be a problem especially for disabled clients. Because I was travelling alone, I was asked if I would move to accommodate someone with a pet carrier that would not fit under the seat they were in. I declined but wondered how they were allowed to board with an oversized case. Also seemed strange to ask a disabled passenger to move."
Pros: "That we eventually got a flight home."
Cons: "Being stuck in Boston and Ottawa for 2 extra days and adding around $1200 on to our trip in hotels alone (I was travelling with 4 kids on a school trip and my wife). Additionally, we didn’t find out the flights were cancelled until we arrived at the airport. Apparently, they had been cancelled 2 hours before but there was no notification. Air Canada offered no help whatsoever and the guy at the “service” desk in Boston literally said there was nothing he could do to help. Not even find a new flight. Spent 90 minutes on the phone trying to re-book, plus re-booking hotel along the way."
Pros: "Great Service."
Cons: "the good service at the check in and on the plane, or the great entertainment service, are all shadowed by Air Canada service for families with babies. We live in Vancouver and use frequently either Air canada or British Airways. We have a 1 year old baby, and on BA we automatically receive family seats for no extra charge, which have extra leg room and option for a bassinet. even with a 1 year old baby they have a special seat for that age, instead of a bassinet which fits only new born babies, so our 1 year old baby could sleep in a chair for hours on BA flight we just took from London to Tel Aviv. we got to London on a AC flight from Vancouver, where we weren't given family seats unless we paid more, so we had to spend 9.5 hours with a 1 YO baby at our lap, the baby of course was miserable, so we were miserable, but not just us, everyone in our vicinity had to suffer the baby's crying. On the BA flight the baby could sleep in a special chair for older babies, placed where usually a bassinet is placed, or sit on the floor next to our legs (because there's so much more leg room in the family seats), something the 1 YO babies need very much. I will recommend anyone with a baby to never fly with AC, especially when you have great alternatives like BA."
Cons: "Air Canada knew we were going to miss our connection, as the flight was delayed over and over, yet the staff on the ground insisted all connections would be made, there had been no missed connections all day. As soon as we got to Montreal, we were told due to ice in Montreal Air Canada had been cancelling flights and many connections couldn't be made all day. By that time it was too late to call Vancouver and set up alternative plans for the following day, which is when we would finally leave Montreal."
Cons: "Better luggage Service"
Pros: "Good flight from Toronto."
Pros: "Flew to and from LHR with Air Canada after flying Air Transat for years. Both flights were professionally managed with the crew in constant availability. Not over the top cheerful, but ready to attend to requests calmly and with attention.beverages etc. were readily available."
Cons: "Low-quality food and small portions for a 9 hr flight."
Pros: "Of the five planes we were on, all but one had comfortable seating (I'm 6'1" tall)"
Cons: "The lady helping us through the Toronto airport between flights made my wife cry. We had to stop to go to the restroom on the way to our gate, and the lady complained when I waited to go in after my wife came out. I told her I was going to do that, but she was apparently pre-occupied when I told her, because she was looking right at me when I said it. I then told her that I had let her know that was my plan, but she denied it, then told my wife she was just one of a hundred people. This left my wife in tears. This was a stain on an otherwise good flying experience, but it' tarnished the whole."
Pros: "It was a mostly empty flight, so there was plenty of space."
Cons: "The only bathroom was locked for landing, which I understand is a policy, however a woman sitting next to me REALLY had to go, and being at the back of the plane while everyone was leaving, could not go ask for it to be unlocked. I felt bad for her... Also, it was not clearly written or easy to understand where our gate was at Cleveland Hopkins. It was a small flight, but it could have been clearer."
Cons: "Flight was canceled suddenly. A half hour before take off with no reason given. There was no staff available to help with rebookings and it was the super bowl. I was able to pay out of pocket an additional CAD500 to get on a Delta flight that was just about to leave."
Pros: "Incredible plane!!"
Cons: "Bathrooms and seats need to be longer!"
Cons: "The business class layout on the Boeing 787 was confusing. The seat was narrow and uncomfortable for my 250lb frame and 6 foot 2inch height. There was now head rest for my neck. The air circulation in the center of the aircraft was poor and too hot while my wife across the aisle had good circulation and temperature. The leg room was inadequate as well. Is this Boeing 787 specific? The selections on the movie list were too small."
Cons: "Slow check-in, old plane"
Pros: "The boarding process was quick and the crew was friendly and professional"
Cons: "The only problem I had on the flight occurred in Cincinnati when my wife got lectured that her bag weighed to much for plane side check-in. The baggage handlers at CVG were rather rude."
Pros: "The flight last less time than expected."
Pros: "The crew was attentive."
Cons: "The head phone slot did not work. Then the TVs went out which did not matter because I could not listen to them anyway."
Pros: "The gate crew was instrumental in helping us board our flight when the first leg was delayed and or connection time was only 30 minutes."
Cons: "Of all the international airlines I have flown, this was by far the least well equipped for a long haul flight. There was no entertainment (we had to download an app to your personal device beforehand, which we were not informed about until already onboard). There were iPads for rent, but not nearly enough for the number of passengers requesting. The dinner was a good size, but there were no additional snacks, only small sized drinks offered, and alcohol was not complimentary, and a smaller size than what's provided while in N America for the same price. Overall, I was quite unimpressed with Air Canada, and will avoid flying with them in the future, when possible."
Cons: "I never received an e-mail to check in, and by the time I remembered (morning of), this resulted in me not having a seat assigned on my ticket. This caused a lot of needless stress, though to Air Canada's credit, they got all those waiting for a seat assignment on board. On my return trip, I did receive an e-mail - luckily, as the flight was overbooked again."
Cons: "Captain's announcements were inaudible from the wing seats. Seats very cramped - I'm only 5 feet tall and barely had room for my legs. Also, unable to see safety demonstration as the seat backs were too tall for a short person to see anything but the back of the seat in front of me."
Cons: "The entertainment was non-existent unless you had an Apple device or paid the $10 to rent one for an hour or so. Really disappointing considering other Air Canada flights."
Pros: "flight was smooth and on time."
Cons: "Maple Leaf Lounge at Pearson airport was shabby. We expected a bit more than soup and gherkins, but that's all that was available, except for some dry nacho chips. No electrical outlets. Indifferent staff. Shame on Air Canada! We have visited airport lounges all over the world and this was by far the worst!"
Cons: "Was put on plane to France, 5 hour layover. Still waiting for my luggage to arrive. Frustrating in extreme."
Pros: "Crew was very nice and attentive to those on the flight."
Cons: "The idea to download an app before departure is ridiculous for movies. I toughed it out instead."
Pros: "Wonderful crew, enjoyable flight!"
Cons: "Neighbor on flight was clueless to the rest of the world & left light on, video on, and used me as a pillow"
Cons: "Long time to get service."
Pros: "The airline personnel in Montreal was accommodating when several of us missed our connecting flights, automatically providing a hotel room and food vouchers for each of us."
Cons: "We were delayed an hour because of a miscommunication with the refueling truck in Montreal before the flight came to Bradley. Then, we sat almost another hour on the tarmac at Bradley Airport because the flight plan was not approved. This caused me and several travelers (out of a small flight of approx. 20 people) to miss our connections in Montreal. Miscommunication seems to be normal for AirCanada, at least in Montreal (almost missed my connection on the way home, too). I will not fly again with this airline in the foreseeable future."
Pros: "Everything was basically on time."
Cons: "Air canada should still give snacks like west jet."
Pros: "The crew and the service was top notch."
Cons: "Bag was given wrong tag # by check in attendant and went to wrong airport. Has been extremely hard to track down"
Pros: "Seats were wide and very comfortable"
Pros: "Cost of the ticket."
Cons: "Very cramped seating, bad food (a slice of greasy banana bread for breakfast?), lights on too late. AC needs to alert travelers to the differences between Rouge and regular flights."
Pros: "Comfortable seats in bulkhead, large overhead cabin space, friendly staff, lots of water offered"
Cons: "No extra blankets available. Would have preferred more Asian cuisine on HK/Toronto flight. Staff too busy with full economy cabin, so not responsive when pressed call button. Movie and TV selection not as extensive as Cathay, though kids same games much better."
Pros: "Contacted by AC that flight from Hartford late leaving and only option for connection to Moncton was through Toronto instead of Montreal-agreed to this change"
Cons: "Plane arrived on time in Toronto but unable to approach terminal for 20 minutes since other plane in designated spot. Delay of 10 minutes to disembark once at terminal because of unexplained problem. Once at security gate D line of approx.. 30-40 people at dead standstill for 25 minutes (security issue?) . Missed connecting flight to Moncton because of above. Overnight stay in Toronto with hotel and meals approx. 35..00-400.00 extra cost. AC unwilling to pay for hotel. Lost following day's employment. Very disappointed in AC service in Toronto."
Pros: "I had not paid attention to know this was going to be such a tiny plane - 18 seats! Transborder flight, 1:20 hours, single seats so both window and aisle, two fantastic pilots (no flight attendants) who did everything, young, friendly and in charge, smooth trip, and I was in seat 2 and looking directly ahead seeing the pilots' view! I didn't need snacks or other entertainment. Will not hesitate to take this flight / Air Canada / small planes again."
Pros: "Flight was ontime! Attendants were corteous"
Pros: "The food was very good and they serve drinks and water many times. The crew members were very efficient."
Pros: "Easy boarding"
Cons: "Outrageous price for short trip zero amenities turbo prop"
Cons: "The seat I sat in felt lumpy. Its also always so loud in the smaller planes, but I knew that."
Pros: "speed of the flight"
Cons: "The plane is noisy, uncomfortable, cold and cramped"
