Scores according to KAYAK customer reviews
Cons: "Give complimentary water"
Pros: "The passengers were spaced out, so we could actually social distance."
Cons: "Not all passengers wore masks. During a contagious pandemic. What the actual hell? Also, the tray tables are too small to use for anything, and we didn’t even get a free drink. Water and soda are so cheap, it’s absurd. I’d never take Allegiant again if they weren’t basically the only airline operating out of my town’s small airport."
Cons: "Great price. Wonderful flight. Seats are so close knees touched the whole flight."
Pros: "I liked the price and that it was a direct flight"
Cons: "Everyone was moved around a lot to try to social distance so I was closer to more people than I would have been on a regular flight."
Cons: "Bag fees are a little high"
Cons: "It wasn’t explained to me that Zone 2 allowed no storage of bags overhead. What was that $50 fee for? Hidden fees confusing."
Pros: "Crew nice. Seat okay"
Pros: "Nice crew. Friendly and responsive"
Cons: "Recliner chairs"
Pros: "Crew food. Seat small little leg room."
Cons: "Plane on time. More leg room."
Pros: "Original low price for reservation"
Cons: "Large amount of additional fees making the original 'good' price not so 'good'"
Pros: "The actual flight was comfortable and the crew was good."
Cons: "Flight time was pushed back a few weeks ago. Slow boarding process so we landed about 30 min late."
Pros: "Great crew. Good on-time flight (early, actually). Smooth boarding."
Cons: "Standard no-frills gripes. Seat is tolerable but basic, no recline. No power, zero inflight entertainment, etc etc. They won't even give you a sip of water for free, which is just absurd in my opinion. They did give me a free cup of ice... so I guess ice + time = free water..."
Pros: "Nice pilot and crew."
Cons: "The warning about alcohol was a bit sarcastic, but I guess in today's world people who have acted out are the real culprits..."
Pros: "Definitely the price. Fairly quick boarding process, just a little congested. Decent priced drinks."
Cons: "Not the most comfortable seats, but there was no one next to me, so it was okay."
Pros: "Allegiant knows how to get people off and back on the plane ASAP. The last few flights I have taken we left early and arrived earlier than planned because of this. Crew was friendly. I like the fact the flights are direct and no layovers at airports."
Pros: "Crew was nice and the plane was clean."
Cons: "Bring snacks and drinks because they charge for everything."
Pros: "Boarding is always a pleasure out of Provo, with no security wait and a pleasant crew. The plane we took was a newer model, and is similar to many Fronteir and economy Delta planes. Unfortunately that means that even a short one-hour flight leaves pains."
Cons: "Our ride was very turbulent, whether that’s due to weather or pioloting I’m not sure. Either way it would have been wonderful to have a free cup of water. Sat for de-icing for about 20 minutes before takeoff."
Cons: "Woke up to a notice saying my flight was delayed 2 hours. So I took my time leaving. Then Got another notice saying it was delayed only 16 min. I live 1.5hrs away! Several people missed the flight because of this."
Pros: "Price and direct flights to popular destinations."
Cons: "No frills. Charging $5 for a printed boarding pass seems a bit excessive"
Pros: "Stewardess moved me to a more comfortable seat without me asking."
Pros: "It was great"
Cons: "Extra fees"
Cons: "The flight was delayed all day!!!"
Pros: "The flight was delayed for almost 4 hrs, but the staff was excellent. From the check-in agent, the gate agent, the flight attendants and pilots - everybody was upbeat and helpful."
Cons: "Just the continual delays, but the mobile notices were so helpful in not coming to the airport for a delayed flight. As always, the fact that the seats don’t recline makes the trip more uncomfortable."
Pros: "Great flight. Great staff."
Pros: "Availability at last minute was awesome, and the price was excellent. The direct flight was great too!"
Cons: "No frills... no peanuts!"
Pros: "Airport and onboard crew were nice."
Cons: "It was myself, my wife, and our 18 month old son. The trip was a complete disaster. The first delay was from 12 noon to 7:30 pm because the plane was unavailable. We left the airport and returned at 6 pm for the 7:30 pm departure. The plane was "available." We checked our bags, found our way to the gate, and eventually boarded "ontime." Instead of taking off, however, we sat on board the plane at the gate for 2 hours as work was being done. The work was first called "maintenance," then "a small error code." The captain teased us by saying "folks, just a few more minutes and we should be departing." The crew nourished us with a dixie sized cups of water and Chex mix. Then finally the airline gave up and deplaned everyone. Once deplaned, it was explained to us that they couldn't clear the error code, so they couldn't use that plane. But there was another plane coming from Las Vegas to use so that we could expect a departure around 12 midnight. 12 midnight rolls around. Nothing. 12:30 am. 1 am. Finally, a plane arrives. But then the airline holds us up yet again - turns out we can't depart after all because the arriving airport shuts down at 2 am. Gee, they didn't know that before making us wait another 3 hours??? Now they're offering a refund to anybody who wants one, as well as a hotel for the night and the promise of a flight at 2:30 pm the following day. At this point, many of us are looking up alternative flights to Eugene and even Portland. A $1,000 extra for us. We're not sure whether we can trust Allegiant to have an actual plane ready to go the next day. And we're too tired at that point to even ask why the next flight would be at 2:30 pm rather than first thing in the morning. So finally we line up to get a hotel voucher and find our way to the hotel. It takes over an hour to checkin at the hotel because it's the middle of the night and 150 people just showed up to checkin. We finally get to our room at about 3:30 am. I'm amazed at how well our toddler held up sitting on an airplane for 2 hours, sitting at the airport for about 6 hours, and waiting to fall asleep all night. We eventually made it back to the airport the following afternoon and, praise the lord, made it to our destination. Allegiant - NEVER AGAIN!"
Pros: "Great airfare, great staff, etc. Cant help that the passengers are idiots ! Love this place."
Pros: "Keep the free snacks and drinks, NA or soda, I really just miss the legroom (nearly 6’ tall) and cushions, a chair that can ease back a bit. All airlines do this but you are worse than frontier, the major carriers have skimped but not like this."
Cons: "3 hour torture chamber. When she said it was their goal to make us comfortable, but more importantly to keep us safe I snorted laughter. It was a bit better and a lot shorter than the dark passage"
Cons: "Lost my bag"
Pros: "I’m 5’10- tall for a woman but average height I’d say overall. I was so cramped in that seat that next time I will choose another airline to get more rom."
Cons: "No free water?! That’s just cruel considering the flight was over 2 hours."
Pros: "On time and very efficient"
Cons: "Both departing and return flights were delayed by just over 5 hours."
Cons: "Allegiant needs to put more than just school bus seats in their aircraft."
Pros: "Both ways were good flights. The return flight however was delayed. We did enjoy buying some tickets from a lady named Valerie in Des Moines who also later had to come on the plane and remove an intoxicated woman. She made everything so easy and simple and enjoyable. And we especially enjoyed the treatment that we received as my husband is a veteran. Thank you so much for that."
Pros: "The view through a milkey-filmed window."
Cons: "Airplane would have been nicer and lighter if the 4 attendants would have cleaned it."
Pros: "Very cheap ticket Non stop flight to HTS with excellent service. Eat before the flight. It is a short flight but if needed bring your snack... airports near big cities..."
Pros: "Departure was on time and arrival was a little early! Nonstop flight was great!"
Cons: "Seats are a bit cramped and their is no pocket on the seat back to put your water bottle or book"
Pros: "No frills inexprnsive"
Cons: "No services"
Pros: "Being on time and the crew"
Cons: "The chair is not reclining"
Pros: "Flew 2 different legs with Allegiant, both of which were delayed for maintenance stuff. 2nd leg, we sat in the plane for an hour waiting for a maintenance guy, so my wife went to the bathroom. No toilet paper! When my wife asked about it, she was told "we won't be getting toilet paper for this flight." Inexpensive is one thing, but...dear lord!"
Pros: "The idea of a more competitive airfare. New South terminal in Austin is nice. Parking is cheaper. Food truck and outdoor seating are nice."
Cons: "No wifi. No entertainment options. You have to pay for snacks and regular drinks- even water."
Pros: "The fight"
Pros: "No Frills Business Travel Good price No hassle Everything on-time and efficient. A choice if I want extras including baggage, seat assignments, etc. Airport convenience"
Cons: "After arriving to the airport to check in we were told there was a 6 hr delay. Thanks for the heads up since we could've hung out more before heading to the airport."
Pros: "Flight crew was very kind"
Cons: "The security crew made me go through security twice and made my girlfriend and 15 month old daughter stand while they searched her bag"
Pros: "Cabin crew was very helpful and polite. One in particular expressed a great sense of humor throughout the flight and had a great rapport w/ passengers. Flight was on-time. Fare was $111 compared to around $375 to Orlando. I was able to fit this flight into my scheduled so saved the company $$."
Cons: "Can't blame Allegiant for a noisy child, but there was a child across the aisle from me who shrieked and talked loudly THE WHOLE FLIGHT. I was trying to sleep and was NOT pleased. I like a good fare, but selling a can of Coke on the flight for $2 seems a bit extreme. Glad there are cut-rate airlines out there as an option, but I won't be flying them any more than necessary."
Pros: "I liked how friendly the staff were and how everything was done on time."
