4 hour delay that caused me to miss my connection. Couldn't get changed to another flight until arrival. Instructions for checking in for the first flight were wrong. There is no Air Canada counter in OKC to check in with.
I needed wheelchair assistance. The woman working at the board in desk, upgraded me to business class. It was a pleasant surprise and greatly appreciated. Kind acts go along way.
All good for this segment
Flight crew was very helpful.
Air Canada makes you cram tour carryon in a sizer - completely unnecessary. Staff is generally ruse although flight attendants on the plane were nice this trip. Even though we sat at the front of economy class and paid extra for the tickets even my wife felt crowded with little leg room. I a six feet tall and it was extremely uncomfortable for me.
The plane waited for us to take us
Cons: "Too many pasengers had carryons. Lots of confusion on the plane for storage"
Cons: "Food had little taste. Movies were not that current and selection was sparse"
Pros: "Cabin crew were terrific!"
Cons: "The unfortunate delay of our flight. And the entertainment systems seems to be getting old. What I mean is that it is by todays standard very very slow to switch between menus etc. And in some cases did not display all the menu content."
Pros: "very nice crew"
Cons: "plane was too small and there was 1.5 hour delay departing"
Pros: "Not much. Crew was good but that is about it."
Cons: "Tight spaces packed in like sardines. FAA seriously needs to look at how these airlines pack us into these seats. Can barely sit in the set, no room to stretch legs, tray table hits my stomach, and I don't even have a big belly. When the guy in front reclines, cannot even get out of my seat. Chaotic boarding process without any order or instructions or announcements, poor food and entertainment."
Pros: "The full experience"
Pros: "Good boarding.Easy check in."
Cons: "Food! Not appealing. Did not eat more than a few bites."
Pros: "I like that they are Canadian"
Cons: "I don't like how unhelpful they are, their food, their staff, the way they treat clients etc. Seriously my least favourite company to fly with. I'd rather pay extra and fly WestJet anyday!"
Pros: "1 stewardess was great"
Cons: "Flights were delayed. Did not check boarding passes which was scary."
Pros: "The flight crew were helpful and friendly"
Cons: "I was forced to miss my second flight because the first airplane malfunctioned"
Cons: "Rather than notify the passengers that our flight would be delayed prior to our arrival at the airport, we waited at the gate for several hours."
Cons: "Our direct flight to Montreal was canceled due to mechanical issues. The rebooking process was discombobulating and we ended up arriving at our destination after the rerouting that was stressful and ensured that we lost a whole day of our vacation time. Our flight back the entertainment system in our seats did not function."
Pros: "put us up in decent hotels gave food vouchers the crew didn't do anything to make it horrible Large selection of movies/tv on board comfiest seats out of all the major airlines I've flown"
Cons: "The flight kept getting delayed bc of mechanical problems, and then eventually cancelled. They rebooked everyone on new flights, but it took an extra stop in Toronto before getting us to Montreal. Once it was rebooked for the morning, it took off a little late. Plus the pretzels they gave us were stale. This was the first of two flights I took this trip that had mechanical issues, so they obviously need to fix their planes better or get new ones, because two Air Canada flights in one day that have mechanical problems leaves me worried that the planes aren't in optimal condition. It took me over 24 hours to get from Tucson, AZ to Montreal, Canada when normal travel takes less than 8 hours including layovers."
Pros: "I had an aisle seat"
Cons: "The plane sat on the runway in Denver for over an hour because they couldn't figure out their furling situation. Many people nearly missed connections because of this. The crew never let us get up to go to the bathroom on an international flight because of some small turbulence."
Pros: "Of the five planes we were on, all but one had comfortable seating (I'm 6'1" tall)"
Cons: "The lady helping us through the Toronto airport between flights made my wife cry. We had to stop to go to the restroom on the way to our gate, and the lady complained when I waited to go in after my wife came out. I told her I was going to do that, but she was apparently pre-occupied when I told her, because she was looking right at me when I said it. I then told her that I had let her know that was my plan, but she denied it, then told my wife she was just one of a hundred people. This left my wife in tears. This was a stain on an otherwise good flying experience, but it' tarnished the whole."
Pros: "Nothing! Unpleasant unhelpful crew at gate, no better onboard, absolutely moist cramped seating ever! Disorganized and late- boarding, departing, waited to disembark at arrival, 25 min before first bag off baggage......dreadful no one cares"
Cons: "Thank you for choosing Air Canada- smiles and goodbyes- where's all that Before you leave? They treat you like problem cattle to be dealt with, you're anonymous and valueless until you leave then they look at you and thank you?! Missing sincerity And service!"
Pros: "Onboard attendants were pleasant"
Cons: "No apology for lateness, flight boarded late, took off 40 min late, arrived 35 minutes late but we sat at gate waiting for someone to open it ?!, then another 15 min before bags started to unload Ridiculous but indicative of airlines You are not their valued guest or even their customer, you are a problem that needs to be solved and are consequently met with preloaded annoyance and a readiness to dismiss, placate at the best of times but definitely not please, impress, sympathize or satisfy. There is no evidence that it's even in their lexicon- not a part of their recruitment or selection process or training, ever! They're main focus and only positivity is saved for themselves. There may be a long line of concerned and anxious travelers but their priority is getting coffees for the battle ahead! They break their focused indifference only for each other and enthusiastically leave their post to satisfy each other's needs and attention. This has got to change! Why do we put up with such awful service for which we are the paying customer? Why are we, their customers, not valued? This airline makes record profits, provides less, charges for everything and increasingly delivers bad service, sometimes offensively bad! It doesn't cost more to hire a customer centric pleasant person, or incorporate guest experience into training or at the very least be friendly and smile! What if an airline just did that?! They'd differentiate themselves and develop a positive customer centered culture. Don't we deserve that, at the very least?!"
Cons: "Crew wasn't helpful and attentive, boarding staff in Toronto were blatantly rude to me, I watched as my luggage got handled aggressively, the plane was dirty with old food crumbs and such, my flight to Windsor got cancelled and accomadations were not met sufficiently."
Pros: "Flight was on time. Personal entertainment is very good and crew was great."
Cons: "Boarding is always a bit chaotic with the carry on bags. I am tall, so economy seats are always uncomfortable."
Pros: "The flight was perfect. Stress free. I will definitely get it again."
Pros: "Flights all deprt s and arrived on time which allowed us to make our connections. A bonus is the flight attendant was pleasant Air Canada Concierge was a real help this entire trip"
Cons: "Our luggage did not arrive with us."
Pros: "I like that Air Canada provides entertainment and its flight attendants are really good."
Cons: "I rarely fly these partner airlines without experiencing major delays, and the delays are always announced after I have cleared security, forcing me to spend hours at the airport. The claims of "weather" are specious: they don't fly enough planes and they don't properly maintain the planes they do fly."
Pros: "Online booking,boardong pass, alerts"
Pros: "Crew was nice"
Cons: "Couldn't use in flight entertainment, only half a soda was given"
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Customer service flight rebooking"
Cons: "I never received an e-mail to check in, and by the time I remembered (morning of), this resulted in me not having a seat assigned on my ticket. This caused a lot of needless stress, though to Air Canada's credit, they got all those waiting for a seat assignment on board. On my return trip, I did receive an e-mail - luckily, as the flight was overbooked again."
Cons: "The entertainment was non-existent unless you had an Apple device or paid the $10 to rent one for an hour or so. Really disappointing considering other Air Canada flights."
Cons: "No monitoring of travel route"
Pros: "flight was smooth and on time."
Cons: "Maple Leaf Lounge at Pearson airport was shabby. We expected a bit more than soup and gherkins, but that's all that was available, except for some dry nacho chips. No electrical outlets. Indifferent staff. Shame on Air Canada! We have visited airport lounges all over the world and this was by far the worst!"
Pros: "-Free entertainment system -Included electrical outlets for every seat"
Cons: "-During boarding I was forced to measure my carry-on and told it was too large despite taking it on hundreds of flights (including numerous Air Canada flights) in the past. Not the best first impression of this Air Canada flight."
Pros: "Everything was basically on time."
Cons: "Air canada should still give snacks like west jet."
Pros: "Seats were wide and very comfortable"
Cons: "I am 5' tall and there was no leg room for me."
Pros: "An Air Canada rep over the phone"
Cons: "Gate agent, zero entertainment (and no warning that we should download an app inside airport), poor food, flight attendant wouldn't bring coffee to us (made us go to the back)"
Pros: "Upgrade to premium economy with more legroom. Free movies. Good movie selection. Free checked luggage!"
Cons: "Check-in process at Denver counter rather slow. Gate information at Denver very confusing due to changes and lateness in displaying/announcing information."
Pros: "I enjoyed the entertainment option."
Cons: "Wish there were more choices for new movies."
Pros: "nothing"
Cons: "i booked a flight through kayak going from denver to milan. i showed up at the airport in denver to fly out yeserday only to find out that i was going to frankfurt germany. i am now in munich germany and never made it to milan. i was one of many people i met on the flight that also booked with air canada thinking they were headed to milan. air canada kept trying to put the blame off to my booking company. i don't know who to be ticked off at. please advise."
Pros: "Great crew. Nice airline."
Cons: "Both flights were over 30 minutes late. Otherwise they were just fine."
Pros: "Better plane than previous"
Cons: "Had to be rerouted to Calgary because I missed my connection"
Pros: "Nothing."
Cons: "The flight attendants on this flight did NOT do their job. If they are there to ensure a safe environment for the people on board, they completely missed the boat. I was in row 45. Two families were on board with their 4 very young children. For the entire 8 hour flight, 3 of these children disrupted the entire section of the plane. They continuously played in the aisles, stood in the seats, kept their seat belts unbuckled, threw objects, and one blasted his iPad at maximum volume. When I asked one flight attendant to ask the family to get the child to lower the volume on his iPad (it was 4am; people were either using their ear buds, or had their screens turned off), they complied with the request for 30 minutes, then resumed at full throttle. I can honestly say, it was one of the worst flights I have ever experienced in 57 years."
