Make sure you know the baggage rules, don’t bring more than you need, and if you get a rental car, know that people target them for break-ins. Never leave anything in your car. Going in for a snack? Take your bags. Basically, drive to your hotel, take the bags out immediately and put them in your room, and try to leave nothing in the car ever. It’s not always this bad, but they spot rentals from a mile away. Be smart, be safe.
PeterFlew with Air CanadaSep 2024
Etihad is a market leader in every category. It’s too bad they generally don’t fly out of Canada (except for SE Asia/ME/Asia. I’d take them in a second over AC. Took one in a trip to Male and was blown away. AC seems like a discount carrier compared to them. And Etihad was always on time! On the last 20 segments I have taken with AC, less than 20% were on time (or not cancelled outright).
ArijitFlew with IndiGoSep 2024
If using Indigo, try to carry less cabin luggage or else try boarding ahead of your Zone call - else you may struggle to find space. Don't rely on flight food at Indigo. Visata is much better. As of now, Indigo is lesser evil - till Vistara and Air India get together and hopefully do some magic.
KathyFlew with Cathay PacificSep 2024
There is no section by section boarding, except for people needing extra time, or first class. So I advise you to line up right away. It's a bit confusing at first, but just line up when they start boarding, no matter what your seat is, or you'll be last in line!
PaulFlew with Air CanadaSep 2024
Air Canada from Montreal was good. But next trip we will fly TAP to Lisbon because TAP disembarked into the terminal whereas AC parked away and passengers had to bus to the airport. This routing added an extra 45-60 minutes to clearing the airport in LIS
DanaFlew with Alaska AirlinesSep 2024
That was my first time flying Milwaukee to Seattle & vice versa. I think we choose a good airline. Seattle’s traffic & airport is busier than Milwaukee so get there at least 2 hours early. Download & keep an eye on the Alaska airline app for flight info updates.
Verified travelerFlew with Hawaiian AirlinesSep 2024
I will not fly to ICN and transfer to Hawaiian again. Both Asiana and KAL are good flights to ICN. And their lounges are both good. But if flying onward, stay with Asiana or KAL connections. ICN doesn’t do terminal connections well.
Verified travelerFlew with British AirwaysSep 2024
Make sure you arrive early enough for boarding. I had a 1 hr layover from Charleston that that was just enough time to get off the plane and walk over to the international side before they started boarding.
KevinFlew with Cebu PacificSep 2024
Bring charging cord as the have ports on the plane. You have to buy water, so get it in the airport, as 3 bottles is the same price as 1 warm bottle on the plane.
DavianFlew with SouthwestSep 2024
Don't rent a car or Uber. Add Clipper Card to your digital phone wallet and use it to take the Bart! It was super easy and very clean with spectacular views along the way
SteliosFlew with Sky ExpressSep 2024
Aegean airlines is still the best experience in Greece, one of the best in Europe. Buses from the airport are cheaper than metro. Recharge your ticket in the machines and help be more ecological
DONALDFlew with SouthwestSep 2024
None for this leg. But it seems the earlier the better for seating. The flight is usually not filled to capacity, so you can usually get an aisle or window seat fairly easy.
Verified travelerFlew with KLMSep 2024
Drink enough water before the flight and, if possible, carry a sachet with electrolytes to counteract the effect of the dry environment of the plane and reduce the effect of jetlag.
TrygveFlew with Cathay PacificSep 2024
For me it’s all about sleep. Try to sleep as much as possible. Bring a good book and don’t eat too much as it is a very long flight
MarkFlew with United AirlinesSep 2024
Unless you are “held hostage” by mileage plus program. Don’t take this flight if it’s an old short haul aircraft. Delta has more and more comfortable flights to Atlanta
Verified travelerFlew with NorwegianSep 2024
The service on the flight is amazing, and also the team responsible to see you on board are very helpful. Reach there in time because everything is timely.
TamaraFlew with Spirit AirlinesSep 2024
Choose airlines close to your home. Especially for uber purposes. Every airline that allows a carryon is ggreat. Complimentary snacks are a plus and add competent courteous staff.
AlanFlew with Alaska AirlinesSep 2024
From Portland specifically- fly Alaska. It’s just easier. Other airlines are fine, but when I’m going to and from Portland, I almost exclusively fly Alaska.
MatthewFlew with LATAM AirlinesSep 2024
Had to go to 2 security checks for connecting flights and could not take water/soda purchased in terminal onto the flight.... so plan accordingly
Rita AnnFlew with Aer LingusSep 2024
The gate is a long walk so go through security earlier rather than later. Loads of great shops and restaurants both land and air side.
OdieFlew with Air CanadaSep 2024
Make sure you eat at the airport before boarding… if you have time walk around the airport bc there’s lots of places to eat.
Verified travelerFlew with Alaska AirlinesSep 2024
We chose Alaska as they flew non stop from Seattle to Cincinnati and back to Seattle. A bonus not to stop in Chicago.
Verified travelerFlew with British AirwaysSep 2024
I have only flown Air Canada and British Airways, and while both are excellent, I have to give the edge to British Airways.
DanielFlew with Gulf AirSep 2024
Gulf Air has a good checked baggage policy (2 x 23 kgs). The carry-on allowance at 6 kgs is not bad too.
Verified travelerFlew with Air CanadaSep 2024
Get there with plenty of time! You can’t afford to be late but you can always afford to be “late for being early”!
AlainFlew with Flair AirlinesSep 2024

Verified travelerFlew with LufthansaSep 2024
Don’t stress at the check in. Easy and convenient, no lines , no confusion with gate. Small and very easy airport to navigate
DesFlew with ZIPAIRSep 2024
Greay value for money! Buy food at the airport and take it onboard with you - its not an issue at all.
DevikaFlew with Etihad AirwaysSep 2024
I wish I had known how much walking I had to do to the transfer terminal from landing to transfer gate.
Verified travelerFlew with LufthansaSep 2024
Get deeper into the airport. There are cheaper/good food and more seating once you get away from the entrance.
Verified travelerFlew with British AirwaysSep 2024
Gone are the days of only needing to arrive 2 hours before your flight. My advice give yourself 3+ hours.
danielFlew with Singapore AirlinesSep 2024
They have a large library of movies and shows don't really need to bring anything for the long flight
BessieFlew with ANASep 2024
ANA and JAL are always better. I try to take the first flight in the middle of the week.
ScottFlew with DeltaSep 2024
If you can manage it, take the first flight of the day; chances are later flights will be delayed.

RyanFlew with Air CanadaSep 2024
There is a train but Rocky Mountaineer is expensive. There’s also E-bus but we would have had to stay overnight. Westjet is much cheaper but flights are through Calgary taking over 4 hours to make it to Kamloops instead of the 50 minute flight with AC.
DanielFlew with Gulf AirSep 2024
If you’re seated in the aisle, be prepared to get up when your neighbour needs to use the restroom or stretch their legs. If this happens during meal service, navigating around the cramped economy section in the narrow-body A321 can be a chore.

We normally fly American out of phoenix, much more options. This time we flew united with connections on Lufthansa. A bit more juggling than our normal American airline and their connections.
ZachFlew with American AirlinesSep 2024

Have plenty of patience for the casual travelers! They are oblivious of rules and etiquettes that slows down the process for everyone. Case in point, a guy held up the line trying to place both his personal item (should be UNDER the seat in front of you) and his carry on case horizontally. Obviously not aware of the big poster right in front of his displaying the proper way of placing his case on it's side. Slowed the whole line of people behind him. Also be mindful the agents in Ontario airport (or any smaller airports) might not be the most knowledgeable on the rules and regulations of air travel, luggage specification allowances etc. Stay patient!! Also the seats do not recline that well anymore on AA flights. So if you have back problems, be sure to bring some back supports.
Verified travelerFlew with Alaska AirlinesSep 2024
The "pay to pick your seat" policy stinks. It's even worse than "pay to pick a seat you'd want to sit in" that airlines have been doing for a while. There is no cohesive policy for how one *gets* a seat assignment- at LAX my boarding pass had a seat assignment; in Portland, the ticketing agent told me the gate agent "had" to do it, but the gate agent said it had been assigned the whole time even though my boarding pass had a blank space where the seat assignment should have been.

Madrid airport is one of the most difficult airports I have ever visited. An absolute nightmare for new travelers to this airport. Please give assistance to the people connecting flights and remember that this T4 and T4S is confusing and there is only ONE information desk hidden among the food court and no one to ask. Corridors are empty and the people who are checking the lines don’t give any other assistance but supervision.
Verified travelerFlew with Singapore AirlinesSep 2024
I wish I'd known how little space there is now on this flight and how much the quality of the food has decreased in the last year. For breakfast the staff moved through the cabin handing out a boxed potato and mushroom patty which most people handed back
AvaFlew with WestJetSep 2024
If you think you’ll be hungry, bring food on board or eat before boarding. Don’t pay extra for a premium seat unless you want to sit toward the front of the plane. The seats are not different from one section to another. The bathroom smelled and was tight.
PeterFlew with Air CanadaSep 2024
Don’t expect to ever be on time to your destination. The Montreal-Toronto-Montreal route is AIr Canada’s highest volume route and they are almost never on time. In my experience (20 flight segments in the last 12 months) less than 20% have been on time.
Verified travelerFlew with Air CanadaSep 2024
Air Transat and Lufthansa seem to have the best onboard experience. Air Canada was good, too. Azores Airlines and Sunwing are to be avoided at all costs. The former lost half the plane's luggage and the latter couldn't be on time to save its life.
Verified travelerFlew with Scandinavian AirlinesSep 2024
Check with the airline and validate that all of the advertised benefits are indeed available. Paying higher price for the Economy Plus tickets may not be worth it for you as a number of advertised benefits are not available, definitely not in Boston
MatthewFlew with LATAM AirlinesSep 2024
Took over an hour from city center to Ezeiza International Airport (Buenos Aires) during rush hour. Plan accordingly. Latam required paper boarding passes. so make extra time to check in and get them at the desk or kiosk.
LeeAnnFlew with Air CanadaSep 2024
I wish I had known that the air canada flight I was taking was so small inside that you can barely fit your carryon bag down the aisle. Also that there are some planes who's seats don't recline.

If at all possible find one that isn’t so rules focused about things that don’t matter. I think we are well past the age where window shades MUST be open 30 minutes before landing. For goodness sake.

Istanbul airport is huge with lots of duty free and shopping options. Limited food choice. And if you are on budget, pack your food in advance as everything is si darn expensive. They primarily take Euro .

Usually the earlier BA flight is better the later Easyjet one is often late and if it runs too far behind it becomes 4hours late as they have to find a new crew

Excellent. The lady boarding the flight was awesome. Very efficient, and she got everyone on line.

Since the flight wasn’t full, we had some extra room. Crew was great

Tight seats. Be prepared to sit in the middle if you are in boarding group C.

I liked the boarding by group and numbers. I didn't like my inability to guarantee our seats together. I didn't like the $8/flight for Internet, but I did appreciate the inflight movie options on their app. I didn't like that there were no charging stations on the seats during either of our flights. One flight was over 3 hours.

Great no problem boarding suitcase on time for pick up

Southwest has a serious issue with keeping their passengers in the dark about delays. They also appear to lack the necessary crews to deal with any sort of hiccup in their operations. The way they run their day-to-day operations is a joke. You are telling me that a hail storm in Denver, where hail storms are incredibly common, results in hours of delays due to every plane needing to be inspected for hail damage? Understandable, but there seems to be a skeleton crew of maintenance workers undergoing this daunting task. There was no particular order of inspecting planes, leading to some planes only having an hour delay or less in others having four or more just because of the luck of the draw of what plane got inspected with no consideration to how long the respective delay was. The entire time the passengers were told nothing except the fact that there was lightning in the area and the ground crews could not load the bags. This always happens that Southwest will incrementally delay a flight with no information given, leaving many frustrated passengers fuming once they find out that their flight is canceled. Don't make people wait around for hours at the airport giving them no information, just to keep them on the hook and prevent any action from being taken by the passengers in terms of finding alternate routes of transportation or accommodations for the night. How many hours of people's times do you think you waste by operating like this? How about having a fully staffed crew in one of your busiest hubs that is famous for severe weather that can effectively deal with a situation like this, or how about having planes on standby to quickly replace in case something like this happens, like all the other major airlines do. This is just like the Christmas fiasco but on a Denver scale, but again this is literally just from a single thunderstorm going over Denver in the spring. I'm glad I've stopped using Southwest as my primary airline and have switched to United. Every single time I fly Southwest, something has to come up. It's ridiculous and I seriously can't wait to finish using my miles so I don't have to deal with your garbage anymore. You used to be so good and I don't know why you thought you could just scrap your quality and expect people to deal with it. Oh, and I walked by someone getting CPR for over 5 minutes in the concourse. I hope he was ok. Southwest needs something similar.

Delay after delay after delay. Very disappointing I am about ready to give up on Southwest. One of the crewmembers sat and played games on her phone for the entire trip from Chicago to Baltimore. Unbelievable, very unprofessional, and very disappointing.

It was good. I wish you had gluten free snacks for my husband.

I've never flown Southwest before and I can say its my new favorite airline.

Flight had over 6 people in wheel chairs and there was only 1 gate agent. Very impressed though in how Maddie handled having to efficiency move that many people by herself. We still nursed in a timely manner.

6 hour delay including one after we were boarded. Horrible experience.

Horrible. Grateful to be alive but spent 13 hours at airport only to return back to my familys house and flight changed to next day. They tried to fix a part on plane, had no back up plane and after 10 hours , reattempted the flight and it STILL wasn't fixed. We got a meal voucher and rescheduled flight but there should be some other compensation for the 15 hours spent in airport

Nothing unusual. It was fine. I hate having to pay extra for my seat.

Everything was Okay. I was disappointed our luggage didn’t arrive with us and came in a flight 7 hours later. Representative said the will be delivered to the hotel. They have not arrived 24 hours later

We splurged and decided to fly first class. Seats were roomy. But flight crew arrived late to the airport. That delayed our flight. Most of the passengers had to try to make connections flights. I felt bad for them. We checked 4 bags. We got three from the baggage claim carousel. 4th one was lost. Delta online help wasn’t good. Baggage claim staff were sympathetic and nice but we waited around for almost 2 hours and it had t been found. They did find it several hours later and we had to drive back to airport to retrieve it. I won’t be splurging on 1st. Lass again anytime soon. I think we got worse service. I am also not a huge fan of delta but we have family in ATL so we don’t have a ton of choice. What should have been an easy flight turned into a stressful event due to flight crew tardiness and baggage mishandling.

In thirty years of traveling, mostly with Delta, this was the worst day ever.

The flight was so late that I had to change connecting flights, turning a five-hour trip into a fourteen-hour nightmare.

I am so shocked at the service in first class. We were not greeted or offered a beverage for 45 minutes into the flight. She did however have time to write a long note. I just wanted a snack and something to drink. We were never offered coffee and the snacks came after dinner? It was the oddest flight I have ever been on. The gentleman next to me got up and gave our dinner box’s to the flight attendant and asked for a second glass of wine for each of us. Our dinner boxes sat on our tray for 20 minutes. She was rather distracted. He then asked another flight attendant for wine… finally we had a second glass. I was trying to give her some grace, she also told the man next me we couldn’t have any more wine because we drank it all… after landing the seasoned traveler next me ask for her employee number. Then it was a mutiny! She was refusing and it got tense. The captain came and asked what was happening, the flight attendants totally gave a biased account of the fact. The captain told the police the man I was seated next to was intoxicated! That was completely inaccurate and it really escalated things. I policeman found me at the luggage carousel to verify the facts. The flight attendants made false accusations that he touched them! That never happened. It was a very poorly trained crew. I am so anngry and shock by the entire experience! It was terrible service! I would like a refund for what I paid to be in first class and the most uncomfortable flight ever. I always fly Delta, it has been wonderful. I was so flustered by the entire experience! Please give me an update on this matter! Thank you, Kelle Myers

It was reported to the passengers that Delta failed to schedule the crew properly. This error caused the pilot to show up about 30 minutes late. All in all Delta's inability to take care of this basic function resulted in about an hour delay.

Late departure due to large number of wheel chair patrons. Used to having a box of snacks to select from in comfort plus. The flight attendant just rattled off what was available and asked us to pick. Felt rushed and uncomfortable. Seat was great. Prefer having the screen on the seat in front of me instead of having to pull it up from the seat side. Lots of room for my carryon under the seat in front of me.

In this flight we had selected seating for our family in the middle of the plane in a 2x2 format. The airline changed them to the very back row of the plane and split them to 3x1. Why pay for seats that allow seat selection if the airline will just move them to the worst seats in the plane?

Never happened, because of the first delayed flight I lost the connection and had to wait overnight and take two flights to reach my destination.

The plane was delayed ~ 40 minutes. Communication could have been better. The entertainment was poor. We were not offered headsets by the flight attendants. The arm rest pad did not work properly, thus, I could not select what I wanted to watch.

A/C wasn't working. Made the 1.25 hour flight seem like 4 hours! Even at altitude it didn't cool down.

See my previous comments. I was probably booked in business but was moved to economy

No water on the toilets, dirty sits. 4 hours delayed departure.

East Lounge in Denver was terrible. Turning away active military on orders? Really? Sad.

The flight was delayed, but other than that everything was fine.

Two hour flight delay, it was awful and loss of sleep.

No real agent onsite helping you for missing luggage there. Not like the other airline next to UA desk, they have staff attending in their desk assisting answer/helping luggage issue, even after midnight.

VERY disappointed at the agent checking in my luggage. I know that the weight limit is 23 kg, a little over 50 pounds (50.71 pounds). Yet the agent kept repeating "50 pounds". So I said, the limit is 23 kg, and she had the audacity to say 'no, it is 22 kg!" Imagine my surprise. Was she ignorant or was she poorly trained? Not sure. The boarding process was pretty good. The speakers were loud enough so I still could hear them despite inconsiderate passengers continuing to speak while the announcements were going on. During the flight, the teenage girl sitting behind me kept pressing her feet to the back of my chair. I turned around several times, yet she did not get the hint. I did not make a fuss since I sense I had a bad streak that night with AA, so I just did the best I can to lean forward and not let that bother me.

Flight was scheduled to leave at 6:25am. Went to bed at 9pm to get enough sleep. Flight cancelled at 1am that morning. Only flights available either landed at 8:30pm (9 hours later and 3 hours after the event I was trying to attend) or in a completely different state. Way to screw up my weekend, American.

The flight was on time and we had no troubles.

I wish the indicator on the side of each row was easier to decipher regarding which seat was the window, middle and row seat. Otherwise, no complains.

a321 seating in business class transcontinental - international not up to snuff, no foot rest, entertainment unexciting

It was a crazy day with a lot of delays and gate changes. Not a huge fan of the Charlotte hub at all.

The airline schedule services was simply mediocre. The ground crew is fine; they are doing their best. The after-delay services were simply poor, and after-cancelling services were almost non-existence. Receiving refund is one rescuing point, but please keep in mind that, people wants to get home or get to their destinations. Cancelling without aftermath recourse is simply poor services. AA needs to fire the marketing department, and the customer-service related leaders.

Delay 14 hours! Missed all connections and had to fly different airline the next day.

The flight itself was fine, but between the man in front of me putting his chair back, and the gentleman next to me who took up 50% of my seat, my back and neck are destroyed from the flight. I’m hoping for a better outcome flying back.

I arrived to LaGuardia Airport 50 minutes prior to my 6am flight but was told that I was too late and would have to flight standby to Dallas in order reach my final destination of Jackson, MS. Hundreds of people were in my situation but the agents chalked this up to being normal for any day. Had my been able to board my original flight I would have arrived at my destination by 10:30am. I didn’t arrive until 7:30pm which included a 30 minute wait on the tarmac. Strangely my luggage arrived at my final destination at 12:30pm of the same travel day. This was by far the worst travel experience I’ve ever had.

Booked two aisle seats and were switched to an aisle and middle. Not happy.

I fly Frontier often and generally don't have any issues. For some reason, the Denver to Houston's George Bush Intercontinental (IAH) flight always needs to wait on the tarmac in Houston because a gate is not available after landing. I've been stuck for as little as 15 minutes and as much as a little over an hour. I know only fly the Frontier Denver to IAH route when there is not an available flight to Houston Hobby (HOU).

Gate agent for Frontier in Sioux Falls was horrible. Some people shouldn't have jobs where they need to work with people. This person tried to control everything and even argued with a Sheriff's Deputy. He seemed to write the law and think he was immune to everything and could do whatever he wanted. What a miserable experience for a lot of people. He even delayed the flight just for on his own actions. The pilots made up the time lost, but why does this person have this job. Apparently nobody cares at Frontier. We do, My wife said she would never fly on Frontier again.

Did not realize seats did not recline. Best to travel in an exit row... No question

Didn't like anything..entire crew was very rude to everyone on the flight. Plane old and the trays fall down on you the while time you're flying. Charged more for a carry on bag than for the plane ticket itself. Did make it from point a to point b, but worth the extra money to fly with another airline

My experience with frontier staff at the Denver airport was absolutely horrible. The manager on duty was even worst if was the worst experience I have ever had, I have never been treated so poorly as a customer in my life! The staff was extremely rude, eye rolls and attitude and then refusal to help me at all. I wish I could never fly frontier again that’s how horrible it was!

Fecal matter in seat back pocket. Presumably from a kids diaper.

I didn't get to do this flight l, hard to review

Not good 😐 Over priced baggage fees Small hard seats No wifi or entertainment options 😕

Left Denver late, then sat on tarmac 30 min after arrival
