Pros: "Miserable all around experience"
Cons: "The flight delay was not reported correctly until 30 minutes before expected departure. The baggage carousel stopped running after already being more then a hour late. No members present to rectify. Absolutely terrible trip"

Cons: "The flight was delayed initially because of plane late arrival then rerouting and then delayed and cancelled. Spent the night on the floor with no offers for food or beverages or at least offering vouchers for delays not related to weather. Tried to lie and say it was weather related."

Cons: "When we landed to lax, the crew should announce where our baggage claim is. It was different from what was texted, what was on the monitors. The location changed without announcement. After an hour, one agent said to go to another area to find my bag. 1 hr in baggage claim is excessive."

Cons: "Flight was 3 seats overbooked, they had to wait until 3 people willingly took a later flight. Like a game of chicken between 100 people."

Pros: "Because the flight wasn't full we passengers in the main cabin had the chance to spread out a bit more, which was great on such a long flight. Also the flight attendant let me have my scotch for free! Hooray!"
Cons: "Without power at each seat it's difficult to take advantage of the otherwise free entertainment that is only accessible through the app or on a laptop. There was a DC power outlet at my seat (not all of the seats in the main cabin even have that) but guess what--it required a cigarette-lighter-style adapter to plug in. I certainly don't travel around with one of those! And most of the other seats in the main cabin had no access to power at all. My battery wouldn't possibly last through a 7-hour-plus flight without supplementary power. Oh well, fortunately there are still books and magazines. Just like old times. Be more like United or any other international airline, American!"

Best of all, seat overhead bins were empty so could store carry-on; This was unusual. Flight was great, but I love flying. Cockpit crew provided status updates, and captain's apology made the late departure more understandable. Deplaning process went smoothly also."
Cons: "After everyonel was timely boarded waiting to push away from the gate, announcement was that the captain was not even in the airport. Flight delayed almost an hour. Seat would not recline, not even an inch so basically sat upright entire flight to London. One has to 'flag' staff if seen as they walked past thru the main cabin. No announcement which area to collect ones luggage, nor staff there to explain, or guide. Forget staff assistance, apparently not a priority with AA."

Pros: "Despite numerous delays, we made it to Philadelphia. We were alerted to the delays in a timely manner. We were also treated to a snack cart and cupcakes to celebrate the first day of direct flights."

Cons: "I was astounded at the miserable "cattle car" experience of this flight. When the person in front of me reclined his seat, the back was shoved to within about a foot of my face. Talk about "In Your Face!" It was nearly impossible to exit from my window seat to the aisle, since there is almost no vertical space open from floor to ceiling in which to move. Flying used to be fun--this is awful!"

Cons: "LATAM is an absolutely horrible airline with horrible customer service. They changed the itinerary more than 3 times. I contacted KAYAK to help and you (KAYAK) did not help stating "that is the Airline's fault". This may be true. But if you are going to take my money for the tickets, please also take the time to address my concerns and solve the problems created by the company that you work with."

Cons: "American Airlines baggage check-in at Paris CDG was total chaos. It took 1 1/2 hours. They need a systems analyst to review their process; especially for customers using their ticket kiosks during check-in when the lines get long. There's never a problem when the lines are small (duh !!). The staff involved in baggage check did well considering the poor process flow they had to deal with. The entire flight crew was great. It is management that is falling down on the job."

Cons: "When I started this leg of my trip, I was completely exhausted having been in sitting position for almost 24 hours straight. Airline made no concessions for travelers knowing that some were just doing a simple trip and those others whose journey was very long. Narrow seats added to stress and discomfort. Airline policy seemed to be "Give me the money and I will deliver you safely. Period" Humanity seems to be last on airline list. Traveling is seriously grueling and unpleasant for all those not in First Class."

Pros: "Seats had good leg room, and the current movies were free (unlike on the United flight I took a short while ago). Boarding was quick."

Cons: "First flight was delayed. Delay not related to weather. American refused to provide hotel. the provided hotel and meal voucher for a fellow traveler on same flight who missed his connection. I was told he was accommodated because he is priority. When asked how I become priority I was told "he spends more money and flies more often." To me that means as a customer I am not a priority to American Airlines."

Cons: "Where to start? How about when I checked in at the counter, I asked the check in attendant to add my FF number on my ticket. They said they'll get right to it, handed me my tickets and sent me on my way. It never happened. Not a big deal, I can request the mileage post flight, but still something. Look at my tickets, that I had booked a week in advance and specifically reserved an aisle seat. My ticket says "Priority Verification," whatever that means. Turns out it means you don't have a seat, and you get the worst of the worst. So what seat is the worst? How about the middle seat in a row of 5. The middle in a row of 5, on a transoceanic flight... What kind of airlines has 5 in a row? The guy next to me spent $300 for his ticket, I spent $1200, for the same flight, and this is the kind of seat I get? The plane felt like it was straight out of the 90's, carpeted center walls, old seats, tiny tv's. Overall, a plane that felt had not been updated in decades. Took 20 minutes for a flight attendant to respond to the flight attendant sign. This wasn't during beverage or food service, just a normal time at cruising altitude. They also don't have eye masks. Every other transoceanic flight I've been on has them provided in the seat pocket, American Airlines doesn't even have them on the plane! Economy class has no USB or power outlets, the in flight entertainment is about a 5" screen in probably 260p resolution. Decent selection of movies, but you have to join the movie in progress or wait approx 10 minutes for the next movie to start. Legroom was okay unless you had one of the entertainment boxes in your way, then that takes up 30% of your space. Some of the tray tables do not have cup holders, on the top, bottom, or anywhere on it. Also my table was tilted, so every time I put a cup on it, it slid right off. Seems like a minor complaint, but eating dinner and fighting a sliding cup the whole time is a pain. Dinner and breakfast tasted decent, but you can tell American is cheap on the food. Most airlines will give something like a main course, a bread roll, fruit cup/salad, juice, small dessert. American gives you the main course and a fruit cup and that is all. Crappy utensils too. Overall, if I had paid maybe $200 for the flight, I wouldn't have any room to complain, but because American holds the government carrier contract for FY17, I had to fly on them at exorbitant cost, and would never recommend them to anyone."

Cons: "The touch-screen entertainment system was not very responsive. It was difficult to get the screen to recognize your selection."

Cons: "Missed the connection in CLT to BTR even though flight status on AA's website indicated that it was delayed enough so that I could make the connection. Ended up spending the night in a cold-assed airport with minimal comfort. I was already confirmed on this flight and AA knew, or should've known, that I was enroute. Not pleased at all."

Pros: "The crew was friendly, energetic, educational and very helpful"
Cons: "Des moines airplanes seem to be the left overs. Old and outdated."

Cons: "Taking 48 hours to get home and it would have taken longer if I didn't insist on being put on standby. Being told it was probably "god's will" that my flightless canceled."
