This is one of the poorer first class seats in the industry. The "lie flat" seat is just that, a lie. It is pitched at an angle, though not as steep as some. Foot cubby is narrow and constrictive, bordering on claustrophobic."

We missed connected flight to Albany. United gave us only option: morning flight to Washington and then To Albany which is inacceptable option. We took rental car. Cons: "Heading from BWI to Newark to Boston on 9/29 on United. There were delays at Newark airport which lasted about an hour, and meant that we would be super tight getting in for our connecting flight. We had been told ahead of the departure of the delayed flight that there would be someone on the ground at Newark monitoring the delayed connecting flights, in case a flight needed to be held. Well, we actually landed about 15 minutes before our connecting flight was due to take off. However, we quickly found out that not only were the gates closed early, but the flight tracker was showing the flight had actually left early. There was clearly no communication between on the ground crews, and everyone working at the airport once we landed seemed confused about the situation. By the time we got within eyeshot of our gate, the gate agents were telling us that the Boston flight was already closed. This meant that no one was even monitoring the situation for us, and that they made no effort to hold the plane for the five of us who were supposed to be on that flight. Additionally, that was the last flight to Boston from Newark, so they literally didn't give one iota of care for our situation. I had a 10am wedding to attend that next day, and even after telling the agent this information she still asked me whether I wanted to get on a 10:38am flight to Boston, which made exactly zero sense. After all of this, she ended up getting me on a flight into manchester (that flight had been delayed for 3 hours by this time, and was delayed again after I was booked on it) which landed at 1:24am, a full two hours and some change after I would have landed in Boston, and a full hour away from Boston. Luckily, my boyfriend had his car and was able to pick me up. I finally got to Boston around 2:45am. My suggestion to the airport crews is to actually communicate when you have issues like this. It wasn't our fault, but we were greatly inconvenienced and they did not make an effort to prevent the situation at all. Adding to this, our pilot for that first flight told us that the reason for the first delay was that Newark was congested with too many flights into and out of the airport. THAT is entirely their fault for not being able to properly gauge their own capacity and should not have ended up inconveniencing passengers! I end all this with an additional inconvenience- when I arrived for my flight on Sunday at 4:40am for a 5:55am flight back to DC, I was told that my return flight had been CANCELED. Somehow, in rebooking me on the flight to Manchester. So I had to spend 30 minutes on the phone with United to get that fixed at 5 in the morning and nearly missed my return flight due to crew incompetence as well."

The attendants really tried hard to minimize the traffic through that section. But to little success."

I wasn't asking for a refund, I was asking to reschedule due to medical reasons of which I have a letter from my Cardiologist as proof of my condition. I saw my Cardiologist Baxter D. Montgomery, M.D. phone: 713.599.1144 on June 9th and was treated for uncontrolled Blood Pressure. I was advised to reschedule my flight after a follow-up appointment on June 23rd. On June 10th I Called United to reschedule my June 11th flight and was referred to Lowestfare.com at 800.678.0998. I spoke to Albert and explained my situation and was told that I couldn't reschedule. I asked to speak to a manager and spoke to Jane who only confirmed that I couldn't reschedule and nothing could be done. Not allowing customers with verifiable medical excuses to reschedule their flight is a shameful business practice."

Five minutes later the screen said 7:15 (and later, 7:35); at no point was there any announcement about these further delays. They then stowed carry-on luggage below, so passengers lost access to any entertainment in their carry-on. There was no entertainment on board."

Spirit personnel at the desk didn't know the flight was even canceled and then, when they freceived the update, finally offered either the next flight out or a refund. However, no vouchers were offered even though the next flight out was a full day later so hotels and meals were at a loss to all customers, in addition to the full day delay in travel plans. I also never received an email notification of the cancellation and only received the flight delay email an hour after I received a gate change notification that had the flight time crossed out."

The price was high for a no frills airline. I could have flown jet blue after adding up all the hidden fees and had a free carry on suitcase, and some technology onboard. Also, while tring to check in, the self check in system, my ticket did not print. There was some kind of error. I went to desk as the attendant directed me, and the clerk at the desk said he would have charge me $9 to print it there per ticket. How do you explain this?! Overpriced and I feel swindled."

Cons: "THE REPS. AT THE CHECK IN WERE NOT SO NICE. IT WAS A DO THIS, THEN DO THAT. THEN KEOSK WERE DOWN AND ERRORS. THEN THEY WANTED TO CHARGE FOR BOARDING PASS."
Pros: "Jan 2 flight was cancelled due to crew issues. Spirit refunded me and said I would have to find another flight with another carrier. They could not get me to Chicago till Jan 5 which was unacceptable. As soon as I use my mileage points I am done with spirit. They don't leave on time and this has been going on for years"

Cons: "Flight was cancelled and Spirit did a terrible job alerting customers. and handling the situation. I will never fly this airline again."

Cons: "We ended up having to cancel our flight due to Hurricane Matthew. The airline refused to give us a reimbursement for the ticket even though we bought insurance thru your company. I spent hours on the phone with both spirit and your company and still nothing was resolved. Now have an insurance claim hoping to get my money back as we would never use spirit for any other flight besides the one that we were planning to take as it's the only direct flight to Myrtle Beach. You also have to pay for seat assignment and baggage, and that's including a carry on. It's ridiculous."

Cons: "I didn't know that Spirit charges for carry-on baggage. Most airlines offer a personal item and a carry-on for free so I thought spirit did the same. Had I know that they didn't I wouldn't have flown spirit. Imagine my surprise as I am in the airport checking in for my flight at the kiosk and then I see a $55 carry on fee or I would have to pay $100 for it at the gate. I called the customer service to see if they could give me a refund for that fee but no dice. I had to get going and fly out. Spirit was the cheapest flight option for me but after I paid my carry-on bag fee it was the most expensive."

Cons: "Delayed 3 hours for a 1 hour flight. They had a bin n made sure everyone's carry on fit into it. If it didn't fit u had to pay 100$ dollars. Cramped plane. No food or drink. Terrible. Never taking again"
Cons: "I got an e-mail a couple of hours before my flight saying that the flight was cancelled. However, this was not so. There was nobody from Spirit at the gate giving information, I had to find someone in another gate who was absolutely not nice with customers and just said the flight was OK but did not provide any explanation for the cancellation e-mail. Pretty bad experience at the airport."

Cons: "Received my suitcase damaged and being accused of carrying something dangerous in it when in fact the airline damaged it and did not offer compensation so I have contacted my attorney"
