That we eventually got a flight home.

Being stuck in Boston and Ottawa for 2 extra days and adding around $1200 on to our trip in hotels alone (I was travelling with 4 kids on a school trip and my wife). Additionally, we didn’t find out the flights were cancelled until we arrived at the airport. Apparently, they had been cancelled 2 hours before but there was no notification. Air Canada offered no help whatsoever and the guy at the “service” desk in Boston literally said there was nothing he could do to help. Not even find a new flight. Spent 90 minutes on the phone trying to re-book, plus re-booking hotel along the way.

This was my first time flying Air Canada. Our flight was delayed by 4 hours because they had to deice the plane. Yes it was frustrating but I would much rather have a flight of upset passengers then risking our lives. The captains and the crew went out of their way to make sure that we were the most comfortable. They gave us food and drinks as we waited and were extremely patient. Upon arrival many passengers had missed their connecting flights, including myself. They put us on the next flight out and gave all passengers a hotel and meals for the night. I would definitely recommend Air Canada. The plane itself is also pretty spacious so don’t be afraid to fly economy.

We left Chicago close to 6 hours late and they didn't bother to put anyones luggage onboard. So we arrive close to 6 hours late and no luggage so we have to wait in line to fill out paperwork to have our luggage located/delivered along with everybody else who had checked baggage. That can not be a cost effective way to run your business

We had a specific situation on our flight tonight that was especially disruptive. Shortly after take-off, my fiancé who was traveling with me, felt the teenager (most likely a minor) directly behind him pushing his seat. My fiancé turned around to ask her to stop. Rather than apologizing and stopping, the teenager immediately began complaining about how my fiancé was encroaching on her space. My fiancé replied that it was well within his rights to lean his seat back. The teenager responded with further complaints. Her comments were out of line and rude. It was clear that she was not satisfied with my fiancé having his seat leaning back. My fiancé eventually put his seat back, and the teenager stopped complaining. We believed that the situation had been resolved, but apparently the teenager was not satisfied. Instead, she went to a flight attendant and lodged a complaint against my fiancé. Rather than hear our side, the flight attendant immediately asked us to move to a different seat. We were forced to move, against our will, to two separate middle seats further forward in the plane. We no longer were able to sit next to each other for the remaining five hours of the flight. And this was all because one particular teenager did not want my fiancé to put his seat back, which he is certainly allowed to do. Overall, the situation was handled poorly. We paid to sit together on a flight, but due to one other passenger's attitude, we were forced to sit in seats that we did not choose apart from one another. The flight attendant should have at least heard our side of the story and offered us an alternative. Instead, we were forced to accommodate another passenger who was in the wrong. Not to mention, throughout this entire process - which lasted about 30 minutes - I was not able to use the GoGo Inflight Internet Package I had just paid for. That was money wasted. The experience was embarrassing, disruptive, and awkward. We love Alaska Airlines, and we are usually pleased with their customer service. However, tonight, the customer service we received did not meet our needs; instead the flight attendant exacerbated the situation and we left our flight feeling frazzled, angry and disappointed.

Getting to where I needed to go

Stopping the plane to fuel at another airport understandable. But then you ran out of food for purchase on the first flight (I was sitting in the back). Then connecting at LAX was horrible. Everyone had connecting flights. Off the plane onto a bus. then through customs then shuffled outside with no guidance from employees. Finally I found someone to ask bc 15-20 people were around me in the same boat. Where the f do we go we wondered. The employee was insanely rude. I’m attentive and I listen. he was saying pay attention I told you go right blah blah blah. He was literally standing there with his arm out pointing right and never said a word to anyone. So once we figured out to go outside and right we had a stressful ten minute wal hoping we were going the right way. We were! We get to tsa and have to go through screening again. Which is insane bc we just got off a plane. The tsa agent told us this happens everyday with a smerk. On top of her attitude, her and the two other lazy ladies on her line were painfully slow. The other two lines went at least twice as fast(no exaggeration!) made it to gate 66 to find it was changed without notice to 63. Made the flight by two minutes or less sweating from running around!

When our flight was delayed in Denver the agent at the check in gate worked very hard to get our flight plans changed with as little impact as possible.

We understand that delays happen but due to a delay on American Airlines we have lost our luggage and it doesn't seem likely it will be returned. We had five pieces of luggage lost during our flight from the U.S. to Spain. When we arrived in Madrid we were told that all five pieces had been located. When we went to pick them up the next day there were only four pieces at the airport. We were told the fifth suitcase would be delivered when it was located. It's ten days later and there's no sign of the luggage. It has taken multiple phone calls to get the information about the luggage correct. They assure me that they have everything correctly documented and then when I call back they haven't changed a thing. It has been a very frustrating process overall.

The flight wasn’t full, so I sat in my own row,?which offered spare leg room (I’m 6’2”). Time to fix the leg room issue on Rouge flights — it’s 2018.

Crew seemed uninterested in general. On phones in back while people struggling to find luggage space. Coffee cups and plastic utensils, etc, stored in overhead bins so people at the back had to search for carry-on space elsewhere, again, without assistance from on board crew. Offered service only once and many were sleeping so didn’t get anything. The overall check-in process could be easier, as the app doesn’t always work as it should.

The flight from Toronto to Boston is extremely short, about an hour. I don’t feel as though I can rate the food since I didn’t buy any, it just doesn’t give me an option to not rate it. It was a completely full flight. It was as comfortable as can be. It’s a smaller plane so you feel everything but the captains were good flyers.

I’m not sure if this is something I can really complain about but I wish the flight attendants would’ve spoken a bit lower. For a plane where half of the people there had missed their connecting flight and were put on a 6:30 am flight, I don’t think we wanted to hear about their detailed personal lives.

Flight attendants were nice

First time (and hopefully last) flying Alaskan. Boarding was ok, not the most efficient but it worked. Once aboard a predicted snow storm started (in Seattle so not the first time this has happened) and we had to de-ice. This process was exceptionally long, in fact so long that we had to add fuel for the trip. These two delays conveniently “timed out” the pilots, brilliant! Total delay was over 4 hours, all to be blamed on their ineptitude. Seems like the norm for airlines these days but this was blatant mismanagement.

None of the experience was pleasant

First flight was delayed causing us to miss the 2nd flight and we ended sleeping on a chair at the airport waiting for a morning flight. AMERICAN AIRLINES didn't even have the decency to put us in a hotel for the night due to their delay. Then they added a 2nd lay over which was delayed for hours also. Traveling was to visit my mother who had cancer and I was sick so this made the trip even more distasteful.

Offered service only once and many were sleeping so didn’t get anything. The overall check-in process could be easier, as the app doesn’t always work as it should.

When our flight was delayed in Denver the agent at the check in gate worked very hard to get our flight plans changed with as little impact as possible.

We understand that delays happen but due to a delay on American Airlines we have lost our luggage and it doesn't seem likely it will be returned. We had five pieces of luggage lost during our flight from the U.S. to Spain. When we arrived in Madrid we were told that all five pieces had been located. When we went to pick them up the next day there were only four pieces at the airport. We were told the fifth suitcase would be delivered when it was located. It's ten days later and there's no sign of the luggage. It has taken multiple phone calls to get the information about the luggage correct. They assure me that they have everything correctly documented and then when I call back they haven't changed a thing. It has been a very frustrating process overall.

Flight attendants were nice

First time (and hopefully last) flying Alaskan. Boarding was ok, not the most efficient but it worked. Once aboard a predicted snow storm started (in Seattle so not the first time this has happened) and we had to de-ice. This process was exceptionally long, in fact so long that we had to add fuel for the trip. These two delays conveniently “timed out” the pilots, brilliant! Total delay was over 4 hours, all to be blamed on their ineptitude. Seems like the norm for airlines these days but this was blatant mismanagement.

We left Chicago close to 6 hours late and they didn't bother to put anyones luggage onboard. So we arrive close to 6 hours late and no luggage so we have to wait in line to fill out paperwork to have our luggage located/delivered along with everybody else who had checked baggage. That can not be a cost effective way to run your business

Delayed flights leading to incredibly tight connection times, staff inconsistent with messaging re the source of the delay, zero compassion for customers, offering $700-$1,400 to get off the plane when you charge $200 to change a flight 2 weeks in advance is especially galling! Will not fly with United again whenever there is a viable alternative to my destination.

The crew at the airport and on the plane were excellent. We were on a family holiday with young ones and the crew really took care of our needs. They were extremely courteous and attentive.

The inflight entertainment options could be more current. We found the options limited... it was a good thing that the flight was short.

This was my first time flying Air Canada. Our flight was delayed by 4 hours because they had to deice the plane. Yes it was frustrating but I would much rather have a flight of upset passengers then risking our lives. The captains and the crew went out of their way to make sure that we were the most comfortable. They gave us food and drinks as we waited and were extremely patient. Upon arrival many passengers had missed their connecting flights, including myself. They put us on the next flight out and gave all passengers a hotel and meals for the night. I would definitely recommend Air Canada. The plane itself is also pretty spacious so don’t be afraid to fly economy.

Nothing really. They were great. I mean, definitely wished my flight wasn’t delayed. Although It wasn’t their fault that they needed to deice the plane, that’s something that should’ve been accounted for way before our flight was supposed to take off.

None of the experience was pleasant

First flight was delayed causing us to miss the 2nd flight and we ended sleeping on a chair at the airport waiting for a morning flight. AMERICAN AIRLINES didn't even have the decency to put us in a hotel for the night due to their delay. Then they added a 2nd lay over which was delayed for hours also. Traveling was to visit my mother who had cancer and I was sick so this made the trip even more distasteful.

We had a specific situation on our flight tonight that was especially disruptive. Shortly after take-off, my fiancé who was traveling with me, felt the teenager (most likely a minor) directly behind him pushing his seat. My fiancé turned around to ask her to stop. Rather than apologizing and stopping, the teenager immediately began complaining about how my fiancé was encroaching on her space. My fiancé replied that it was well within his rights to lean his seat back. The teenager responded with further complaints. Her comments were out of line and rude. It was clear that she was not satisfied with my fiancé having his seat leaning back. My fiancé eventually put his seat back, and the teenager stopped complaining. We believed that the situation had been resolved, but apparently the teenager was not satisfied. Instead, she went to a flight attendant and lodged a complaint against my fiancé. Rather than hear our side, the flight attendant immediately asked us to move to a different seat. We were forced to move, against our will, to two separate middle seats further forward in the plane. We no longer were able to sit next to each other for the remaining five hours of the flight. And this was all because one particular teenager did not want my fiancé to put his seat back, which he is certainly allowed to do. Overall, the situation was handled poorly. We paid to sit together on a flight, but due to one other passenger's attitude, we were forced to sit in seats that we did not choose apart from one another. The flight attendant should have at least heard our side of the story and offered us an alternative. Instead, we were forced to accommodate another passenger who was in the wrong. Not to mention, throughout this entire process - which lasted about 30 minutes - I was not able to use the GoGo Inflight Internet Package I had just paid for. That was money wasted. The experience was embarrassing, disruptive, and awkward. We love Alaska Airlines, and we are usually pleased with their customer service. However, tonight, the customer service we received did not meet our needs; instead the flight attendant exacerbated the situation and we left our flight feeling frazzled, angry and disappointed.
