Cons: "Boarding was horrible (like most airlines), too many levels, and by the time we can board, we have a long wait in the loading corridor, at a standstill in the aisle. Seats are cramped and the only thing they offer to eat (free) is a small cookie. They charge too much for internet connection also. I wish airlines would just board from the last row forward, would speed the process up tremendously. I don't care about first class, MVP, military, families, they always seem to be in the front third, and that's what slows everything down."

Pros: "This was first Alaska airlines trip and I want to do more! I showed up at the Seattle airport and tried to use one of the many conveniently placed kiosks. I couldn't find my trip, BECAUSE I HAD BOOKED FOR THE WRONG DAY!. This could have been very stressful but an attendant near the (short) line asked me if needed help and immediately redirected me to the VIP line. There, I found another very short line, and smiling, enthusiastic staff. The young woman who helped me got my info, and walked away to get the problem solved with a supervisor. She returned a short time later, my boarding pass in hand, upgraded me to Premium seating and TSA pre check -- without me even asking! On the plane, I mostly slept, but when I woke up I found the attendant had left me my boxes snack which was a mix of nuts and dried fruit in a fancy package. The seats seemed more comfortable than they were in recent trips on United and Southwest. There were plugs everywhere for phone and device charging. There was free wifi(!!). And there were devices available for borrowing. There was even a website for free movie streaming. In a time when most other airlines have sour faced (need to retire!) attendants (Southwest an exception), and EVERYTHING is a la Carte pricing, it is so nice to fly with a company that tries to make passengers happy and comfortable. What a switch!! You"

Needed water bottle because diabetic & recovering from pneumania. Did not like the patting down because I had a Kotex pad on. Wierd. Love flying Alaska Air."

Cons: "While the pilot was taking us to the runway before takeoff, there were some noises that could be heard in the roof. I was scared. My dad was sitting in front of me, and when we got off the plane he told me he heard the noises too, and saw some passengers that looked worried who heard the noise as well. My dad works with airplanes, and he said it might have been the panels overhead rattling that was making the noise. Other than that, the flight was okay, but i think the aircraft should be checked out."

Pros: "It was all good but I thought that if I flew 1st class that I would have been told that I had use of the lounge..which no one did. So I sat with the "others" waiting at the gate."
Cons: "On my return ( still flying 1st class ) I had a 15 hour layover. I wanted to use the lounge but was denied access since my flight wouldn't leave until the next day. In my opinion, if someone wants to fork out the price to fly first class.. they should waive THAT policy. So, I spent the night with all 'the others' hating Alaska and it's short sighted policy. I could have used the lounge for 1.30 hrs the next day..if I wasn't so busy hating them."

Cons: "Well, even United brings a tray of waters on the short flight from Portland to Redmond. Hard to believe it was impossible to serve some drinks on this 1 hour fairly empty flight from Seattle. Also, when taking off the plane surged and slowed several times. I had to wonder if the pilot was in training?"

Cons: "The flight attendants were uniformly rude and nasty to passengers from start to finish. As I boarded, I asked for a piece of art to be stored in the wardrobe compartment. This was treated as an inconvenience. During and after boarding, flight attendants addressed passengers rudely when encouraging them to take their seats in a timely fashion. Later, when my seat mate politely asked a FA to repeat the food options, she asked, "Excuse me?" several times and seemed very irritated to have to repeat the choices for him. Also, near the end of the flight, a pillow was on the ground and a FA asked those seated in my row to pick it up. We responded that it wasn't ours and she said something to the effect of, "Oh yeah? So how did it get there?" (Maybe because someone else dropped it and we didn't notice?) The FAs seemed irritated to serve passengers at all. Each time they passed through for beverage or meal service, I felt like I was imposing on them. I have never witnessed anything quite like it. Makes me wonder why they were all so upset and and felt it appropriate to speak and act disrespectfully toward customers. (Delta, do you have any insights?) I hope they all got a good night's rest after that haul."

A shared intercom system between two gates (b7 and b7a), boarding flights around the same time and our flight beginning portions of pre boarding with no announcements caused mass confusion. Passengers lining up to go before they should, bumping into each other, no info or corrections over the intercom. The gate agent yelling at people to move aside. Overall terrible gate agents and terrible set up. Flight crew was great though."

This would be fine if it didn't mean that your seats have to be changed last minute and without your knowledge. I choose a window on purpose because I am claustrophobic. I did not pay for upgrade because I was able to select a seat that was a window...had I known it could change I would have. Zero communication just surprise you have a. Ew seat."

Cons: "One of the legs did not have the free wifi available, but they mentioned that before takeoff and were very apologetic that it had not been added to that plane yet."

Pros: "Accident on way to airport, so I showed up to check bags 45 minutes before flight time. They said they couldn't get the bag to the plane..in 45 minutes? So, they put on the next flight... 6 hours later. Said I could fly without the bag... uh, no thanks. They would not look for alternatives without charging me more. Flight attendants were crabby, otherwise everything was fine. I flew British Airways a few months ago. Night and day. Seriously. Delta does not even approach having good service. There was no comparison to British Air--- Delta is not in the same league."

Pros: "Nice views on the east side of the flight. Caught Mt. Rainier, Mt. Adams, Lake Tahoe, Yosemite Half Dome, Edwards AFB, downtown LA Free Gogo in-flight wifi allowed Google Maps to work well, though nothing else seemed to load. In-flight magazine was well-written."

Cons: "Since it was a flight from Seoul, Korea to Seattle; it would've been nicer if all the movies had Korean subtitles-- my 4-yo boy who only speaks Korean, couldn't make it through more than 15 mins of a movie because he couldn't understand (of course, some of that is due to age & short attention-span). But he kept saying, "I hate English" in Korean while trying to pick a movie. Also, I'm 6'2"; so while it was nice having the whole row for my kids to lay down in-- I was cramped and uncomfortable the whole flight, even moreso with Delta's seats being closer together than on other international carriers I've flown."

Pros: "Delta made sure my husband and I had seats together and my husband was thrilled to have a window seat. We took off and arrived earlier than scheduled so we didn't have to run to catch our connecting flight."

The flight also boarded and departed mostly on time, and the onboard wifi was great."
Cons: "It was a bit confusing to check in online, as the WestJet site doesn't list Seattle as a departure city and then it took several different input attempts before Delta's site found my WestJet flight info."

Crew tried to reset it multiple times, but it didn't help. So flight was longer due to delay and I was looking at the BLACK SCREEN entire time. 3) I attempted to read my book. Since it was a night flight and overhead lights were off to prevent disturbance, I needed to use reading light. Well, the reading light was not working. I called a flight attendant to assist me. She tried to help me, but confirmed that it was out of order. 4) There was not information regarding terminal for my connecting flight. Captain kindly referred us to look up this information on our individual screens. Mine was not working, neither was the screen of the passengers next to me. Not helpful at all."

Look at my tickets, that I had booked a week in advance and specifically reserved an aisle seat. My ticket says "Priority Verification," whatever that means. Turns out it means you don't have a seat, and you get the worst of the worst. So what seat is the worst? How about the middle seat in a row of 5. The middle in a row of 5, on a transoceanic flight... What kind of airlines has 5 in a row? The guy next to me spent $300 for his ticket, I spent $1200, for the same flight, and this is the kind of seat I get? The plane felt like it was straight out of the 90's, carpeted center walls, old seats, tiny tv's. Overall, a plane that felt had not been updated in decades. Took 20 minutes for a flight attendant to respond to the flight attendant sign. This wasn't during beverage or food service, just a normal time at cruising altitude. They also don't have eye masks. Every other transoceanic flight I've been on has them provided in the seat pocket, American Airlines doesn't even have them on the plane! Economy class has no USB or power outlets, the in flight entertainment is about a 5" screen in probably 260p resolution. Decent selection of movies, but you have to join the movie in progress or wait approx 10 minutes for the next movie to start. Legroom was okay unless you had one of the entertainment boxes in your way, then that takes up 30% of your space. Some of the tray tables do not have cup holders, on the top, bottom, or anywhere on it. Also my table was tilted, so every time I put a cup on it, it slid right off. Seems like a minor complaint, but eating dinner and fighting a sliding cup the whole time is a pain. Dinner and breakfast tasted decent, but you can tell American is cheap on the food. Most airlines will give something like a main course, a bread roll, fruit cup/salad, juice, small dessert. American gives you the main course and a fruit cup and that is all. Crappy utensils too. Overall, if I had paid maybe $200 for the flight, I wouldn't have any room to complain, but because American holds the government carrier contract for FY17, I had to fly on them at exorbitant cost, and would never recommend them to anyone."

Cons: "This flight was actually on an American 777. One of the older models. For an almost 9+ hour flight, the in-seat entertainment systems need to be upgraded. The seats did not have USB charging capabilities, the selection of movies at the seat consisted of about 8 choices, and the screen size wasn't much larger than that of an iPhone 6 Plus. This was supposed to be a British Airlines flight, but it really was an American flight. I expected to be on a BA aircraft, which would have probably been upgraded."

Cons: "The airplane was outdated. It did not have personal entertainment suites at each seat. I haven't flown across the ocean without being able to choose my own movie in 3 years. Also, because of the outdated entertainment suite, the headphone jack is located in the armrest to the side instead of in the seat back in front of you. This caused me to bend my 3.5mm headphone connection at one point while I was moving my leg, because the connection jack is located below thigh level. The temperature was unbearable, and could not be controlled by the flight crew. Dressed for winter weather and roasted for the entire flight. I actually was dehydrated when we landed because I was sweating for 7 hours crossing the ocean."

We paid $738.00 total for both tickets to Dallas, and found it very hard to believe that we could not get seats that were next to each other. We have had this same situation on other airlines, and they were very accommodating to our needs."

When I realized I would not get to the wedding I was trying to attend, they siad they wouldn't refund my money' When I insistedon a refund they then said there would be a $19.99 cancellation fee. Eventually, they agreed on a refund. Pretty poor way to run a business. On the other hand, when I needed to cancel my Enterprise car rental, I was able to do it in less than two minutes over the phone - no hassle."

Cons: "When we booked this flight through Kayak, we weren't made aware of all the extra fees. So imagine my surprise when I checked in online 24 hours before our flight. Frontier tries to get customers to pay extra for seats. Some seats have more leg room, so I can see people might be willing to pay extra for them. However other seats were not special in any way but they wanted to charge $16/seat. All clickable seat choices were extra, and no where on the page was it indicated that you did not have to actually choose a seat. I deciced to just not pick any seats and continue to the next screen to see what would happen. A pop up window comes up warning that if I don't pick seats, my party would be assigned random seats and may not be able to sit together. Wouldn't have been a problem for us and as it turns out we were assigned seats together. Then you must indicate how many carry ons and/or checked bags each person will have. I figured we'd each have 1 carry on until I saw Frontier charges $40/carry on! Decided instead to do 1 checked bag, for which they charged $35. Then on the flight, you have to pay $1.99 for any beverages besides water. Alcohol was of course more. Ridiculous to make people pay on the plane for soda or juice. If we had paid for the seats and 1 carry on/person we would have paid an additional $168 (not including inflight beverages). Just not worth it for the level of service. I will be sticking to Southwest Airlines, thank you very much!"
