Cons: "The fact that my father was diagnosed with Cancer and they wouldn’t refund our 1300.00 for round trip tickets to the Philippines which is our vacation home. The airline required documentation from my fathers doc which I provided. He was not going anywhere for at least a year (radiation and chemo) and the denied even credit.I was able to get my parents tickets refunded by a different airline. NEVER Again. my father passed 8/12/2018. Our trip was scheduled for 9/13/2018. Very disappointing.see"
Pros: "Beautifully presented and tasty Japanese food. Electronic windows."
Cons: "Not overly impressed with the 12:05am departure time. Western food not overly impressive. Having to travel from the plane to terminal by bus."
Pros: "Great food, friendly and patient and always helpful. Always a sweet smile on flight attendants and they care. They even gave my daughter birthday treat since we were traveling on her birthday"
Cons: "Nothing. All was great"
Pros: "This flight was part of a longer trip - I flew from Hartford, CT, USA on a different airline and connected to Japan Airlines in Chicago. I flew Chicago to Tokyo in JAL and then from Tokyo to Manila again on JAL. The service on first leg was very good and friendly of my JAL flights, food was good, seat was comfortable. Then on my second flight from Tokyo to Manila I was shocked but thrilled that I had been given an upgrade to first class. The whole experience was outstanding! The seat was incredibly comfortable and the food was phenomenal. The only problem, not that you could call it a problem, was that I was so comfortable with my fluffy pillow and fully reclining seat that I couldn’t stay awake to finish my movie! Thank you!"
Cons: "Not applicable"
Pros: "The crew"
Cons: "Being late"
Pros: "none"
Cons: "everything"
Pros: "Friendly and helpful"
Pros: "Very smooth ticketing and boarding on Tokyo to Manila."
Cons: "In LA terminal, instead of the gate number the airport labeled my flight as “TBIT.” Not being local, I had no way of knowing it meant Tom Bradley International Terminal. I stayed near another gait that had international flights, and it turned out the gate was clear on the other side of the complex, which is obscured by construction. If I hadn’t asked one of the workers there I would have missed my flight."
Cons: "Cancelled flight"
Pros: "That I probably won’t have to deal with AA for a while."
Cons: "The boarding process was a joke. No seat assignments until the last second. The front desk personnel would not help us with a seat assignment and said they were “working on it”. I sat down with my wife in the waiting area and observed the front desk personnel joking around with each other for the next 45 minutes before the flight. Very unprofessional and not helpful. Not a good way to represent your airline."
Pros: "Flight time was not bad, not too long"
Cons: "Food options were bad, I offered to pay money for something better, didn't even have an option to pay for better meals, I don't think better meals existed for coach."
Pros: "Courteous cabin crews, must be from Japanese culture."
Cons: "On Feb.16, 2018 JL745 Narita to Mnl, flight was delayed, though it was constantly announced but not the reason why. Other than that, I will always fly JAL whenever possible."

Cons: "Everything. Screens were small. Leg space was little to none. Food was trrrible. I will never fly with JAL again"
Pros: "Good quality food. Between-meal snacks. Great selection of media entertainment. Convenient power available at each seat including USB right in front of you. Many handy pockets in front of you for storing various items."
Cons: "Little surprised that the attendants were a little difficult to understand in English. I imagined their English would be pretty good."
Pros: "Good service and very clean plane."
Cons: "After having an enjoyable experience on the first Japan Air flight, the second flight from Narita to Manila was late to board & leave, the food was not nearly as appealing and the flight seats were noticeably less comfortable and less roomy than the first flight."
Pros: "Nice flight, right on time."
Pros: "What a terrific airline. Polite service, great food, comfortable seats and a clean plane. So much better than US airline companies."
Pros: "Nothing at all"
Cons: "I purchased a flight through one of the participating vendors on kayak for a major airline and accidentally chose the wrong departure date. I never received a confirmation email and therefore missed the flight. I understand and take full responsibility for booking the wrong departure date but when I tried to change it after missing the flight I was told that the airline policy was to charge a $300 change fee plus $30 for the third-party vendor. Because this was booked as a round-trip this vendor was attempting to charge me $330 plus the full price purchase of a new ticket as the "change fee". For some reason I was unable to explain to the person on the phone that it made no sense for me to pay full price for a ticket plus give that vendor an extra $330. I was forced to eat the entire round-trip ticket and of course save $330 by just hanging up and booking a new flight. I have course book a new flight directly with the airline. I could not even fly standby on the next flight with the airline because they told me they were unable to assist me in anyway because I booked through a third-party vendor. There were plenty of seats available on the next flight and I would've been able to fly standby had I purchased directly from the airline. Never again"
Pros: "Good service."
Pros: "Great flight. The service was excelent. There was always a stewardous walking around and asking if you needed anything.Japan Aitlines is definitely one of the best in the world."
Pros: "Everything about the Japan air portion of our trip was excellent."
Cons: "No problems whatsoever."
Pros: "Nothing."
Cons: "Although, i booked businesss class l. I had to pay 1000 yen for each flight for seat selection. (They were giving me seats 50C) And no lounge facility either. All i got was 2000 yen and upgrade to J class. I had already paid extra for business class. This is highway robbery. No thanks JAL"
Pros: "Fast boarding and wonderful staff."
Cons: "A small complaint, but the entertainment system in the plane was very old and had poor quality screens."
Pros: "I liked everything about the flight service and attendants. The attendants were always respectful and smiling...."
Pros: "JAL has excellent service. The flight attendants are very responsive and always there to help. The boarding and everything was smooth."
Cons: "Nothing!"
Pros: "The crew was very pleasant and helpful. Overall it was as good as a 12 hour economy flight can go."
Cons: "Unfortunately they ran out of some food by the time they got to us and only had fish left. It was okay, just not my favorite. We were 35 minutes late taking off which contributed with me missing my connecting flight."
Pros: "I like the service of the Crew (very courteous, The Movies are new and my first time to view them, and the temperature and smell of the airplane is just right. Keep it up!"
Cons: "None"
Pros: "The entertainment system was grest with many movie optionstar and a large screen for viewing. The seat was very comfortable and there plenty of leg room."
Cons: "The plane was delayed by 45min and I had a connecting flight which I ended not missing. The food was average. I was expecting something a little more Japanese instead of chicken pasta. And I didn't have a second option."
Pros: "I didn't die"
Cons: "Plane was a bit old, headphone jack barely worked and the screen was scratched to hell"
Pros: "Our flight from Tokyo to Beijing was very pleasant. The flight attendants were very polite and helpful. There was a lot more leg room than most American/European airlines we have taken. The food was quite good and we even got Häagen-Dazs ice cream."
Cons: "I wish they had a larger movie selection, but they had most "New Releases"."
Pros: "Crew service"
Cons: "Food and not so updated movies in entertainment."
Pros: "on time"
Cons: "I wish there were options in the food they serve."
