Very little turbulence, smooth taking off and landing. I like that I was able to watch free movies without having to pay for WiFi."

The flight attendant was complaining during the drink service and she said she was going to fix it, but apparently the issue couldn’t be remedied because it never changed. Other than that, the flight was pretty good. The plane didn’t have TVs, which is so nice when flying with a child, so it would have been great to have some in flight screens."

Cons: "We have a service dog onboard, and the flight attendant was brusque when giving instructions about how he can fly, which came off as rude. All of her instructions were unnecessarily snappy, but that’s the one that struck me most. He’s a service dog. He’s allowed to be here. Seats are too hard/rigid, and I wasn’t able to get much sleep due to discomfort/screaming babies. I don’t blame the babies though."

Not listen to Alaska's drama within."

Cons: "We had purchased round trip tickets for our son to come home from college. He was able to get a ride a day earlier as he wanted to surprise us. The night before his return flight he went online to check in, and received a notification his reservation had been cancelled. We called Alaska and were told they had canceled his reservations as he failed to check in for his initial flight. Their policy reflects in the event of this happening they "may" do this, NOT shall. They wanted us to pay an additional $205 for a one way ticket. Hard lesson for my son, he just didn't think about canceling as the seats were paid for, and not understanding why the reservation would be canceled when their service was paid for. We would have thought as we paid for a service Alaska would have at least called or emailed us to check the status of the reservation. they had all of our personal contact information. Again, hard lessen for us all."

Pros: "The KLM ground staff were extremely helpful and reassuring when there was confusion with my ticket."
Cons: "I booked KLM flights (Cork - Tampa return) but the planes were in fact Aer Lingus and Delta. So I have no idea what KLM is like. When I checked in at Cork the ground staff could only give me a boarding card for the first flight. For the second one she said I would have to go to the Delta counter in Amsterdam. It was difficult to find a counter there or staff as check-in was all by computer. The computer kept saying 'error' when I put in my code. I eventually was directed to a KLM desk (nicely hidden). I was told that my seat no longer existed. At this point the flight was ready to board. Thankfully the KLM ground staff were extremely helpful and reassuring and upgraded my ticket to economy comfort. On the way back, I could only get a boarding card for my first flight. The second two I had to collect at the boarding gate of the second flight."

Cons: "Flight was delayed due to weather, understandable. We deplaned. This was the first short 1.5 hour leg of an international flight. It seemed clear that we would not make our connecting flights, which messes everything up with covid tests, quarantine, and all the many restrictions that airlines have insisted without thinking about the consequences. I tried to share my concern with the agent at American Airlines, knowing that it would probably be better to rebook and start all over for the following week or something. But his limited perspective, condescending attitude, and egotistical control behavior would not listen to me and was only concerned with getting me to the first stop 1.5 hours away. 7hrs later, stuck on that same plane which rerouted and refueled, I am now stuck in a city for 2 days since I had to rebook and start all over for missing my international connecting flight. Still have 20+ more hours of flying to go and nowhere closer to my destination. Hotel, rental, and new covid tests are all at my expense. Just wish American Airlines staff would listen and help, but if you don't shut up and comply to their every demand, they will ban you and ruin your life forever."

Coming back was worse after multiple delays, they cancelled the flight. they put me on a flight for next day with 2 connections which will reach ny almost 20 hrs later, no aplogises, no hotel room. After more calls put me in another United flight later that night which also finally got cancelled. I had to book a new flight with delta and paid $460 on the spot for that. Still awaiting my refund from American for the return leg which was cancelled and left a lady traveling alone stranded at Detroit airport in the night. Apology or compensation -- forget it, you will never get that! Only now if they can refund my cancelled flight..."

Cons: "The flight was originally scheduled to take off at 8:20 pm, but due to several delays did not end up getting off the ground until after 11 pm. After being in the air for about 45 minutes we were informed that there were issues with the engine and that we would be turning around and heading back to Dallas. By this point it was after midnight, and although I was appreciative that safely is a priority, there was no communication as to what the next steps were. After landing we were finally told that we would have to deplane, and after we sat around the gate for awhile we were informed that the flight would be delayed until 5 am. Being 12:50 am at this point a hotel would have been nice, but we were informed that AA was "out of hotels" but that if we wanted we could have a $12 food voucher to use at the one restaurant that was open several terminals over. The AA employee assisting in handing out the food vouchers seemed extremely unapologetic about the situation which didn't help with the frustration everyone was feeling. I will not be booking with AA again, and will be passing along my negative experience to family and friends. It is worth spending the extra money on a ticket for an airline that is more reliable with better customer service."

The AirTran took over 10-15min to arrive and when it finally did we had to get off and wait for another one which didn’t have space for everyone so a group of us had to wait even longer for the next one to arrive. A guy said he missed his flight last time that happened. They had more trains going to the parking lot for customers leaving the airport than they did for people catching their flights! Then there was only one security check in line, even for expedited check in. Despite allocating extra time for our overall commute, we still made it right on time for boarding so make sure to give yourself PLENTY of time when dealing with EWR."

Then this flight Washington connection to Detroit from raleigh the pilot never showed up and extra hour went by, we got a new pilots but, then leading to faulty paperwork that took another hour and thirty minutes after boarding the plan to get sorted. When we got that sorted they then proceeded to tell us that the flight atendent had to leave and we had to wait another 20 min for another atendent to arrive before finally making our way to Detroit. When we landed in Phoenix it took 45 minutes to get our luggage because they were short on workers, so the same people took our luggage off the plane, then loaded the next flight's luggage on the plane while letting ours sit in the rain, before bringing us the off-loaded now wet luggage. Flight attendants barely do anything! Mostly they stand - or sit - around in the back talking and laughing amongst themselves. Never again!"

Maintenance was performed outside the plane while we listened to something that sounded like lug nuts being tightened or loosened from our seats. We sat for an hour waiting to disembark during which time we heard more of those sounds while we waited for an available gate. We were also delayed an hour coming back as we sat in our very uncomfortable seats observing maintenance trying to fix the attendants intercom/phone system. In addition, on the way down to Florida I could have one carry on bag AND my purse, but on the way back my purse had to be inside my carry on bag or I would be charged an additional sixty dollars!! Unpleasant, uncomfortable, and a bit perplexing with the maintenance performed after being boarded by genuinely rude workers. I will not fly this airline again."

I did receive a flight voucher for another flight with frontier for $25 off, but I must book in 90 days. I understand flights will be delayed time and again, but it was how they handled the situation, how we were promised vouchers we did not receive and how we were NOT notified earlier of our delayed flight that I was upset. Airlines should be upfront with their customers who may be traveling for time sensitive events."
