Cons: "So, this plane was a Virgin America aircraft taken over by Alaska since the merger. My fiance and I were on a red eye non-stop to Philly from LAX. That said, the plane was in terrible condition. The seat back in front of my seat was broken and hanging down on my knees, there was no opportunity for entertainment unless you brought your own plug in headphones (none on the plane to use or purchase), we purchased upgraded seats and when we checked in the night before were told they were not available and we would be in economy (still waiting for that $200 refund 7 days later), the arm rest between our seats was broken and would not stay up, the headrest of my seat was broken and there was exposed metal, and when we purchased champagne to celebrate our vacation it was warm. One other item I noticed was the woman across the aisle's seat would not sit upright. She was asked to move to another seat for both take off and landing. Not sure if this was a Virgin America crew of Alaska, but terribly disappointed iin the crews lack of care and would not fly them again across country if this is what is to be expected."

You don't get assigned a seat until YouTube up at the airport... That's fine, not really a big deal. But because you didn't select a seat, they don't let you print or view your boarding pass on your phone, forcing you to go to the checking desk. For someone that has TSA pre check and travels alot, all that extra time adds up and can sometimes cause you to miss your flight. Because there is on "fast line" when you check-in like there is at the security check point. I only have this problem with Delta, never American airlines..."

But, when we landed, as passengers were trying to get off of the plane, the attendants were putting all of the collected luggage at the entry to the jetway. It created congestion. Then, anyone who had luggage, had to lineup against the side of the jetway, awaiting their luggage, and increasing the congestion. First, it was inconvenient. Worse, if there was any kind of emergency, I believe it would have created a unsafe environment. Very Poor Design & Process ! ! !"
Pros: "Our plane had mechanical issue with a parking brake which they left us know about once we loaded the plane. Unfortunately it was going to take to long so they switched us to another plane."
Cons: "Airlines in general need to enforce the carry on luggage rules. If it doesn't match the dimensions for the carry on specks then make the people Check it. Don't let it go. If I paid for a seat and I'm allowed two carry ons then there should be room for them. Don't ask people to check bags because of a full plane. The crew should have there own place to store their belongings, not where the passengers do and take their space. The life rafts need to be easy to get to but again should take up a spot a passenger has paid for their luggage to go. If that is the only space for these items then don't allow passengers to bring two items if in those seats or on the whole plane. It's really disappointing when your told you may have to check your bag because there's not enough room."

Pros: "My flight had a really tight connection at London Heathrow. Then my flight from Vienna arrived 10 minutes late which made it even worse. A very nice BA agent met me as I deplaned at London Heathrow and ran with me thru Terminal 3. Helped me clear security with a priority card and ran to my gate with 2 minutes to spare. The women was really nice and if it was not for her I am sure I would not have made my connection. I don't know if there is anyway to track her down and thank her but I would like to do so. The flight attendants were OK but not excessively helpful."

Cons: "The space and seats were uncomfortable. I received errors when trying to access gogoinflight on my tablet, even when I had the most updated app. Therefore I was unable to use the app during my flight to Philadelphia. Also, when checking in from our original departure location, MCO, we were not provided our boarding pass or luggage tags for our final destination, Barcelona, only to our connecting flight, Philadelphia. The connecting flight was delayed in MCO for an 1 hour and a half, after we have boarded the plane. So we waited in the plane for the whole hour and half while a maintenance issue was being resolved. The delay almost cost us to be late for our final flight to Barcelona. Since we were not given our boarding passes for PHL to BCL it caused confusion when trying to board our plane in PHL to Barcelona, and also caused for our baggage to not arrive with the flight. After landing, we spent an additional 2 hours at the Airport going through customs, and waiting on line for the lost and found desk for baggage in Barcelona. The lost and found desk had three agents available to assist, however we can only talk to one which was designated specifically for American Airlines. This caused a very long wait time of 1 hour. We were advised the bags stayed in Phildelaphia since they did not have the additional luggage tags, and will not arrive till the next day. Overall the experience within the Airport kiosks, service desks, and baggage check in' s was not a pleasant experience. I believe many of these issues could have been avoided if the American Airlines agents were more knowledgeable and attentive."

The flight was swaped to American Airlines, and I was put on an international flight that was archaic, I would have been better off flying a prop plane from the 1970's."

The plane itself didn't have individual screens and my view was obstructed by other seats. The food was terrible and I got sick later, possibly from the bad airline food. Overall I got to my destination on time, but unhappy as I had chosen an airline and was forced to use another."

Allowing people with children to board first and get off the plane first would make things better for all passengers. Planes are also outdated. We have been traveling with other airlines that have individual screens. Much easier for people to travel on long flights when they have individual entertainment."

The last time I flew, I took Frontier from LGA to Denver and the staff on Frontier's flight were very rude and dismissive towards passengers. It was so refreshing to fly American Airlines and be greeted with warmth and professionalism by the staff!"

Pros: "I thought the whole experience was unorganized. The staff attempted to keep their calm but in the end they sounded just as organized as the flight line. (Referring to the trip as a whole)"
Cons: "I received 10 flight delayed notices on this trip. Five of the flight delayed notices were flight 6047. I missed a whole night in Oregon because of the delays and got in at 2 am into Charleston.. which was not ideal. I will not be recommending United Airlines. Also, for some reason the last flight was the coldest flight I've ever been on? I was tired, cold and miserable by the time I got to Charleston."
Pros: "I did like that we boarded quickly and efficiently. The attendants were very respectful and kept very quiet throughout their food and beverage service so others could sleep which was quite professional."
Cons: "I didn't like that the only guy on the flight that kept his light on the entire trip had to sit next to me. I was able to sleep regardless, and I understand that it is out of the control of the crew or myself or anyone but that guy... but that was less than desirable. Other than that, great flight."
Cons: "What food? A little snack mix. And once again, needed to get in and out with a shoe horn."
Pros: "Horid contract gate agent in Eugene OR. Broke FAA rules. Contacting United for resolution."
Cons: "Rude, unaware of rules, as a 1M flyer one of the ugliest boarding a I've had in ages"
Cons: "I missed my flight because on the printed ticket, the boarding time was the same as the flight time. It read that the flight was on time, so I arrived a few minutes before the boarding time per the ticket and the flight was already leaving. So I had to cancel the flight and they re-booked the flight for the next morning, pretty late morning, which made me miss a scheduled day of work. There was also a child kicking my seat behind me so I had to move my seat in order to avoid any issues."
Pros: "Efficient and professional crew."
Cons: "Almost nonexistent snacks. I know it is a short flight, but a small packet of pretzels is pretty sad. The flight attendants are great, but come on..."

Cons: "I had no issue with the delay, things happen. I was dealing with a knee injury and the gate plan had us all over the airport. It was quite frustrating to get to a gate in another terminal only to get told we were being moved back to the terminal we had just come from! Then that gate was changed again, involving another long walk on said bad knee!"
Pros: "Comfortable the entire trip! 1st class is the only way I will travel any more especially flying all the way across the country! Thank you United!"
Cons: "The flight had no flight crew, so I had to fly out the following day, missing important client meetings and losing money. I paid extra to fly out on Sunday so I would be able to make my obligations, but didn't arrive until Tuesday night. No refund or voucher was offered, although I asked. It would be nice if they at least paid the difference between the flight I paid for and the cheaper flight I received."

Cons: "The only flight leaving Eugene that would get me to Dallas in time for an urgent meeting left at 5:25 am. The crew identified something in inspection that gave them a little concern, so they called maintenance to come and check it out to ensure we were safe to fly (which I very much appreciate). The issue I have is that over an hour passed (after the flight was supposed to leave), with them giving periodic updates that they had called maintenance and were waiting for them. Finally I asked the people at the counter, who were visibly embarrassed, where maintenance was coming from (this is an airport - shouldn't they have it onsite), and they conceded that maintenance was at the airport, but they had no idea where they were. This delay resulted in me missing my connection in Denver, which caused me to miss the meeting and the whole reason I was flying back to Dallas a day early for. I essentially paid over $400 for an extra ticket (I had to not use my one on Friday - because it was just cheaper to buy a separate one way ticket). I will never fly United again."

Cons: "I didn't like having to pay $4/2hrs for internet/movies for a 3 hour flight....$8 to watch a movie on a 8" screen?? Come on! If you have it available, why isn't it free or included in $600 ticket price? I'm 6'0" tall and weigh 218lbs and I felt like a sardine in a can. Seats are WAY cramped! They probably are comfortable for a 7 year old girl...."
Pros: "We were slightly delayed departing because of a mechanical concern. Thankfully there was nothing wrong so we departed within a few minutes. To compensate the pilot authorized free direct TV for the flight. Very nice I enjoyed a movie. We landed on time."

Pros: "My first flight was cancelled and it appeared i wouldn't make it to my destination on the day which I intended. A Delta/united employee at the Eugene Airport (Collette) quickly and kindly moved some things around and got me a flight out only an hour later, upgraded me to comfort select seating, and some how managed to get me to my final destination (2 flights ) only an hour after I originally booked for. She did all this with a smile on her face while a worried guest (me) wasn't sure what he was going to do if it weren't for her impeccable service. Thanks Collete and United!"

Cons: "A few hours before flight time I was informed by email - not text - that "my flight" was canceled, which turned out to mean the flight went but I was bumped. I had to reschedule my entire trip for two days later (a trip to see a hospitalized relative). The affair would have upset me less if Kayak/United had simply informed me that they had overbooked the flight and they did not have room for me."
Cons: "The plane was supposed to have WIFI but it didn't."
Pros: "Our flight was two hours late. We received no water on our flight. We had to wait in the cold/outside to get our carry on bags. Flight attendant was not in the mood, and looked like she was taking it out on the passengers."

Pros: "When finally able to talk to someone in customer service in san Francisco, jonanne joy and new trainee fworked hard to find a flight in the morning to connect to out international flight."

Cons: "We were delayed at the gate then delayed again on the plane brocade they couldn't find someone to fill the fuel tank. Once that was complete, we had to wait quite some time before the slip came to the plane to be signed off on. The last issue was that they couldn't get the aircraft pushed out of the gate. The only positive was that my bags arrived this time."

Pros: "My overall experience was excellent except for your new food policy. Meals should included! I am handicapped and asked for help boarding and getting to flights! I was helped by your caring and very curtitious staff! Thank you for your help."
Pros: "Flight delayed 3 hrs. Then rebooked on American for 2nd leg. I had to leave one secured area at SFO, then wait in line at Americans ticket counter then through security again. Luckily the American flight was delayed, or I might have missed that flight."
Cons: "United customer service was so poor and rude to my daughter. Come on united you guys couldn't give my daughter more then a $14 food voucher for a 12 our delay that was your own fault !!! Fly Hawaiian if your going to fly to Hawaii. So much better and worth it if it costs more :)"

Cons: "By the time the flight attendant got to our row, she was out of orange juice. Can't believe they don't give out peanuts or pretzels any more. They do on southwest. Once again the steps boarding plane. Very difficult for me to handle. The walk from one end of the airport to the other."

Cons: "They cancelled my flight the morning of, I was rerouted through a later flight to AA when the United employee couldn't speak enough English to communicate, I misheard 2:30 when she actually said 2:13. Showed up an hour early as I always do at Eugene airport, only to have the gate shut in my face...we'd missed the flight. I then proceeded to get in my car and drive three hours to catch a connecting flight to Phoenix through traffic etc etc....only to arrive in Phoenix 6 hours later than expected. All of my evening business meetings, lost. Thanks United, you always seem to find a new way to screw it up."
Pros: "Liked being bumped into 1st class."
Cons: "The 2.5 hour delay in Eugene that resulted in an additional 4.5 hour delay in San Francisco. Cost me a lot of time and money. Scheduled arrival 7:14 pm actual midnight. No fun spending a good part of your day in an airport."
Pros: "I appreciate the kindness shown by staff given the many delays and reroutes as a result of the weather"
