Cons: "Flights cancelled or delayed warm water nasty warm old orange juice. Both flights leaving Denver to Seattle and Seattle to Eugene Oregon were delayed rerouted my flight return flight was cancelled and I was put on a flight that would not get me back to Denver in time for my flight back to Boston had to call and rearrange that that made me have to fly out of Portland instead of Eugene very inconvenient then that morning's flights both delayed sitting for half an hour on the runway and then 45 minutes on the runway will not fly Alaska again"
Cons: "Asked at check-in if my barcode was ok to use bc I did not receive an automated email for return check-in, she said "Let me see, yes that's good, but hurry up because you have 40min before your plane departs". Low and behold, security said my barcode was not valid and had to run back and forth to get a new one printed. What made it worse was the check in clerk wanted to argue her point and there was only one flight attendant available and boarding closed 12min prior to departure, I was standing and waiving through the gates window trying to get all the flight attendants attention. I could have made it but missed my flight. Horrible experience!"
Pros: "They were friendly and professional"
Cons: "No cranberry juice!"
Pros: "Boarding was easy and straightforward. My luggage was handled safely. The flight was early."
Cons: "The seats are quite uncomfortable, but it was a very short flight."
Pros: "Empty plane!"
Pros: "This was on a very old plane and it was not very clean from previous guests plus the plane itself was shabby. Otherwise everything was nice"
Cons: "See above"
Pros: "Felt like the attendents were on autopilot."
Pros: "I did receive an email related to my reservation, but it was not openable on my iPhone. I had no useful information regarding my reservation. I thought I'd purchased on Delta but it turned out that my ticket was Utah Alaska. Luckily the Eugene airport is small and friendly and they got it all figured out."
Cons: "See above!"
Cons: "Flight delay...NOT Alaska Airlines fault."
Pros: "Nothing. Never was able to get on the flight"
Cons: "Layover was too long between flights. Overslept at gate waiting for flight. Woke up at 6:15p and was not allowed on flight as they had closed the gate already even though plane did not take off for 10 more minutes"
Pros: "Alaska is one of the best airlines to fly these days, and I've flown most. I have my mileage program on another airlines but I'd switch to them all the time if I could."
Pros: "Terrible that I had to carry my carry on down the stairs to plane, lucky it wasn't raining, & then up a flight of stairs to plane with a torn rotator cuff. I felt like I was flying in the 70's. Coming back, a bald headed attendant was very rude. I did not get any refreshments on the way to Portland which they said was a rough ride but ride was smooth. That was ok, that didn't matter if our safety was involved. Also $25 for one bag is a lot to carry hair spray or a few things you can't carry on."
Cons: "I did like the refreshments served on the way back from Portland to Reno. That was nice. A different attendant served us & he was very nice."
Pros: "Friendly crew."
Cons: "They announced the beverage service and because the ride was a little rough, discontinued it before they started and never tried again. I was looking forward to the free microbrewery beer and was disappointed. They should have at least given a voucher for a beer on my next flight."
Pros: "I booked my flight through Alaska airlines. On the flight to CA it was required my 5 year old sit on her booster seat which we loved. The stewardess on the way back (this flight) refused to let my daughter sit on it and tried to tell me I didn't know what I was talking about. I pulled up policy and it stated the child was in fact supposed to sit in her booster. The woman was rude and snotty about it. Lost my business just from her attitude."
Cons: "Flight personnel seem like they dont enjoy their job."
Cons: "There was no entertainment. With a flight over three hours I would have thought there would be seatback mini-screens at least with a few movies to choose from. Also there was only one cart serving drinks which took forever because we had a seat towards the back and because it took so long we only had the one drink. It was so full of ice that really there was hardly any fluid and the ice pieces were too large to even chew them up. I felt very dehydrated during the flight. Since we can't bring our own water I feel like more should be provided."
Cons: "The temperature on the plane was cool."
Cons: "Our flight was “delayed” 12 hours! Notably not cancelled and rebooked because then they would have to compensate us, I believe"
Pros: "Never made connection since first flight was deplaned"
Cons: "Never made it"
Pros: "I got a whole can of ginger ale"
Cons: "Not much room, seats uncomfortable"
Pros: "Plane wasn't delayed. Left on time."
Cons: "Gate attendants could have been friendlier, nicer. Had to stand in boarding line too long."
Cons: "Commuter flight need internet access. Please make it happen."
Pros: "Flight was on time and I received my checked baggage."
Cons: "Seat was uncomfortable due to insufficient foot space. All (about 6) overhead bins in the rear of the aircraft were full because crew stored “essential equipment” in them. Crew was not professional. After takeoff they never came around to see if anyone needed anything and not even a glass of water was offered for the entire flight. They didn’t even ensure that everyone wore seatbelts on landing - woman next to me was stretched out hugging her companion while landing wilth unbuckled seatbelt. Entertainment screen did not wirk properly."
Pros: "The person at the United customer service desk was able to book me on the next available flight to Reno (after missing my original flight mentioned above) quickly and efficiently. Boarding was fast."
Cons: "I was late to my original flight and the United personal that I talked to at the gate was very rude. I asked if the plane was still boarding and all she said was go to customer service. I know I gave her a questioning look because this did not answer my original question. She repeated her statement again this time pointing. I would have preferred that she tell me that the flight had finished boarding but customer service could help me get on another flight. I feel that would have been more professional. My new flight was also an hour late"
Pros: "We flew out if Eugene, Or. and we're in Cancun by 2pm. I loved that! We we're seated right behind the bulkhead for first class, so we had plenty of leg room. You can purchase food snacks on this flight and they're ok."
Cons: "The entertainment options are disappointing. The selection of movies, that you pay $5.99 for at your seat, are stale movies."
Pros: "The staff were courteous and helpful"
Cons: "It felt as if the purchase of the tickets was bait and switch. We purchased our tickets through KAYAK and remade to feel as if we were being punished for buying tickets at a savings. It turned out to be no savings at all as they charged us for luggage which is normally carry-on for both of us going and returning This turned out to be a significant financial punishment. For the more it was clear that we had no options into seat selection. It would've been nice to sit next to each other but we were told that our seats would be assigned, take it or leave it. This turned out to be a significant financial punishment. For the more it was clear that we had no options into seat selection. It would've been nice to sit next to each other but we were told that our seats would be assigned, take it or leave it. We fly to Europe frequently but will never under any circumstance flight on United again."
Cons: "Only non nut snacks. Should offer stevia too as a sweetener."
Pros: "On time"
Cons: "Booked aisle seat. Plane change resulted in seat reassignment to middle seat. Awful. And United declined repeatedly to reassign me without $$$ upgrade. United sucks."
Pros: "Good cabin & flight crew; kept us informed."
Cons: "Ran late. Seats are time (I'm average weight & height). Windows couldn't have been lower or we'd have been looking at the gear."
Cons: "3hrs waiting for the plane"
Pros: "Assigned seat - delayed because of hot breaks but stayed on tarmac to cool while cooled only about 10 min."
Cons: "Airline stewardess should have suggested mom with young child in lap could move to empty row of seats."
Pros: "Flights were on time and one even landed early."
Cons: "Didn't take the plane!"
Pros: "Making the connectoin in SFO worked out because both flights were delayed. Offering bottled water and chips to waiting passengers was a small courtesy that I heard others appreciated."
Cons: "Couldn't understand the PA announcements in Eugene. Audio clarity problem. Flight delayed. It happens. I prefer media content from United accessed through the cabin wi-fi. That option wasn't working on one flight segment. Just an hour flight though. I'm 6'2". Could future planes have a variety of seat sizes? The leg room in economy is actually sufficient for me. It was difficult to find my delayed flights on the departures screen. United employees didn't complain about helping me though."
Pros: "Staff was great."
Cons: "Had to pay for entertainment."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Having to wait 2 hrs for initial flight which made me miss all connecting flights"
Pros: "Great job"
Cons: "I do not like this survey. Where can I answer that I did not experienced the entertainment? I have no idea if it was any good"
Pros: "The crew was friendly and helpful. The flight arrived much earlier than scheduled."
Pros: "Unprofessional and completely disorganized the flight was oversold which is not a big deal but the way it was handled was beyond ridiculous. After the plane was boarded at least 4 Crew members boarded the aircraft and started moving people around it was chaos. I'm assuming it was one of the gate agents that insisted a couple of passengers Exit the plane. I've honestly never seen anything like this. At one point I heard a female passengers use profanity when asked by her traveling companion "what is going on? where are u going" the woman replied "I being told I have to get off the plane there are no more F--king seats" My option the crew and or gate agents were irresponsible for boarding passengers that did not have seats! Get it together united!!!"
Cons: "Nothing"
Pros: "Crew was great"
Cons: "Aircraft interior is dated."
Cons: "San Francisco always has delays. You pull away fro. The gate & sit on the runway for 25-30 minutes. Frustrating."
Pros: "I thought the whole experience was unorganized. The staff attempted to keep their calm but in the end they sounded just as organized as the flight line. (Referring to the trip as a whole)"
Cons: "I received 10 flight delayed notices on this trip. Five of the flight delayed notices were flight 6047. I missed a whole night in Oregon because of the delays and got in at 2 am into Charleston.. which was not ideal. I will not be recommending United Airlines. Also, for some reason the last flight was the coldest flight I've ever been on? I was tired, cold and miserable by the time I got to Charleston."
Pros: "N/A"
Cons: "I missed my flight because on the printed ticket, the boarding time was the same as the flight time. It read that the flight was on time, so I arrived a few minutes before the boarding time per the ticket and the flight was already leaving. So I had to cancel the flight and they re-booked the flight for the next morning, pretty late morning, which made me miss a scheduled day of work. There was also a child kicking my seat behind me so I had to move my seat in order to avoid any issues."
Pros: "Efficient and professional crew."
Cons: "Almost nonexistent snacks. I know it is a short flight, but a small packet of pretzels is pretty sad. The flight attendants are great, but come on..."
Pros: "Friendly flight attendants Help luggage personel"
Cons: "NA"
Cons: "The flight had no flight crew, so I had to fly out the following day, missing important client meetings and losing money. I paid extra to fly out on Sunday so I would be able to make my obligations, but didn't arrive until Tuesday night. No refund or voucher was offered, although I asked. It would be nice if they at least paid the difference between the flight I paid for and the cheaper flight I received."
Pros: "every thing"
Cons: "Purchased tickets 4 months before this flight for a departure time of 6:05pm. Tried to check in and check baggage at 9:30am but was turned away saying I could only check in 3 hrs prior to my flight. Came back at 3:00pm to check-in and they could not find my information. An hour later they find out that they cancelled the flight and moved my departure time to 8:25am for that day. They say they emailed 3 times in May but I never got it (I'm a bit crazy about my email staying clean) so they say it might have went in to my spam folder due to they types of emails they send to customers. They only kept repeating that they notified me so there is nothing they could do. I ended up going to Air Canada to get a flight from PHX to RNO the next day. No apology, no help, no hotel for the night...Terrible experience by United. They gave me a customer relations group contact information to follow up with for complaint but since they sent me the 3 emails in May about the change, they have no liability to fix the situation."
Pros: "Smooth. No problems. Happy we didn't have to get suitcases through customs because you could handle in Canada. Happy gate was near where we got off."
Pros: "Zero."
Cons: "The flight was overbooked and asked for several volunteers to take later flights for travel credit. Ended up forcing those unlucky souls in the last boarding group off flight with no offer of credit or accommodation. Waited in customer service line for hours, literally longer than it would have taken to take off and arrive at my scheduled destination. United representatives could not find a flight that guaranteed a seat (not on a long standby list) that was even in the same 12 hour period. I spoke with a United supervisor who showed zero empathy or concern with the situation. In the end I arranged for other travel accommodations to drive to my family reunion destination. No refund was issued or offered. I was informed I would have to call United customer service after the date of my previously scheduled return flight to explain my situation. I will personally never fly United again and would recommend the same to anyone. Although for the record, I did receive a single ten dollar airport food voucher for my inconvenience. Inexcusable."
Cons: "Flight supposed to leave 5:30 Am plane at gate since 7pm night before.. First flight of the day But NO crew to fly it until after 6:00 Am we were an hour late leaving. Had a 50 min layover in Denver.. Had to RUN 30 gates. This is purely their scheduling error."
Pros: "Not much."
Cons: "The only flight leaving Eugene that would get me to Dallas in time for an urgent meeting left at 5:25 am. The crew identified something in inspection that gave them a little concern, so they called maintenance to come and check it out to ensure we were safe to fly (which I very much appreciate). The issue I have is that over an hour passed (after the flight was supposed to leave), with them giving periodic updates that they had called maintenance and were waiting for them. Finally I asked the people at the counter, who were visibly embarrassed, where maintenance was coming from (this is an airport - shouldn't they have it onsite), and they conceded that maintenance was at the airport, but they had no idea where they were. This delay resulted in me missing my connection in Denver, which caused me to miss the meeting and the whole reason I was flying back to Dallas a day early for. I essentially paid over $400 for an extra ticket (I had to not use my one on Friday - because it was just cheaper to buy a separate one way ticket). I will never fly United again."
Pros: "Staff and Pilots did a great job. Wheelchair was much apprecciated!!! Everything was on time or ahead of it. Great landing!! Wish you didn't charge for baggage and would like better snacks--oh for the good old days!"
Pros: "seats comfortable n Eugene airport easy to navigate"
Cons: "being unboarded on tarmac with white a distance to cover barely made connection"
Cons: "Seats are uncomfortable and very small"
Cons: "United had 3 gate changes. Ok sometimes that happens. This was said due to a storm out of colorado"
Pros: "The crew was polite and very professional"
Cons: "The food was disgusting"
Pros: "On time"
Cons: "Crowded. Tight seats and I'm thinp"
Pros: "The hostess was entertaining"
Cons: "The plane was dirty and delayed"
Pros: "My first flight was cancelled and it appeared i wouldn't make it to my destination on the day which I intended. A Delta/united employee at the Eugene Airport (Collette) quickly and kindly moved some things around and got me a flight out only an hour later, upgraded me to comfort select seating, and some how managed to get me to my final destination (2 flights ) only an hour after I originally booked for. She did all this with a smile on her face while a worried guest (me) wasn't sure what he was going to do if it weren't for her impeccable service. Thanks Collete and United!"
Cons: "A few hours before flight time I was informed by email - not text - that "my flight" was canceled, which turned out to mean the flight went but I was bumped. I had to reschedule my entire trip for two days later (a trip to see a hospitalized relative). The affair would have upset me less if Kayak/United had simply informed me that they had overbooked the flight and they did not have room for me."
Pros: "When finally able to talk to someone in customer service in san Francisco, jonanne joy and new trainee fworked hard to find a flight in the morning to connect to out international flight."
Pros: "My overall experience was excellent except for your new food policy. Meals should included! I am handicapped and asked for help boarding and getting to flights! I was helped by your caring and very curtitious staff! Thank you for your help."
