Pros: "The seats were fine and the plane was in good shape."
Cons: "The food is mediocre - everything has meat in it and they use tons of plastic. Also, the plane was late getting to the gate. This wouldn’t have been an issue had the pilot not decided to off board and then re onboard cargo (the commercial stuff they get paid to carry). This took about 20 minutes and then after the winds changed, he decided he could load more passengers. So despite having the doors locked and getting ready to leave the gate, they opened the doors up again and boarded more people for the next 40 minutes. So they chose to make a delayed flight even more delayed (on Christmas Eve). So we inevitably missed our connection in sydney and had to pay a change fee since it’s a different airline. Thanks for the Christmas gift United - you always know how to disappoint your passengers."

Cons: "It felt as if the purchase of the tickets was bait and switch. We purchased our tickets through KAYAK and remade to feel as if we were being punished for buying tickets at a savings. It turned out to be no savings at all as they charged us for luggage which is normally carry-on for both of us going and returning This turned out to be a significant financial punishment. For the more it was clear that we had no options into seat selection. It would've been nice to sit next to each other but we were told that our seats would be assigned, take it or leave it. Cons: "Couldn't understand the PA announcements in Eugene. Audio clarity problem. Flight delayed. It happens. I prefer media content from United accessed through the cabin wi-fi. That option wasn't working on one flight segment. Just an hour flight though. I'm 6'2". Could future planes have a variety of seat sizes? The leg room in economy is actually sufficient for me. It was difficult to find my delayed flights on the departures screen. United employees didn't complain about helping me though."

Pros: "Unprofessional and completely disorganized the flight was oversold which is not a big deal but the way it was handled was beyond ridiculous. After the plane was boarded at least 4 Crew members boarded the aircraft and started moving people around it was chaos. I'm assuming it was one of the gate agents that insisted a couple of passengers Exit the plane. I've honestly never seen anything like this. At one point I heard a female passengers use profanity when asked by her traveling companion "what is going on? where are u going" the woman replied "I being told I have to get off the plane there are no more F--king seats" My option the crew and or gate agents were irresponsible for boarding passengers that did not have seats! Get it together united!!!"

Cons: "I received 10 flight delayed notices on this trip. Five of the flight delayed notices were flight 6047. I missed a whole night in Oregon because of the delays and got in at 2 am into Charleston.. which was not ideal. I will not be recommending United Airlines. Also, for some reason the last flight was the coldest flight I've ever been on? I was tired, cold and miserable by the time I got to Charleston."

Cons: "I missed my flight because on the printed ticket, the boarding time was the same as the flight time. It read that the flight was on time, so I arrived a few minutes before the boarding time per the ticket and the flight was already leaving. So I had to cancel the flight and they re-booked the flight for the next morning, pretty late morning, which made me miss a scheduled day of work. There was also a child kicking my seat behind me so I had to move my seat in order to avoid any issues."

Cons: "The flight had no flight crew, so I had to fly out the following day, missing important client meetings and losing money. I paid extra to fly out on Sunday so I would be able to make my obligations, but didn't arrive until Tuesday night. No refund or voucher was offered, although I asked. It would be nice if they at least paid the difference between the flight I paid for and the cheaper flight I received."

Cons: "The only flight leaving Eugene that would get me to Dallas in time for an urgent meeting left at 5:25 am. The crew identified something in inspection that gave them a little concern, so they called maintenance to come and check it out to ensure we were safe to fly (which I very much appreciate). The issue I have is that over an hour passed (after the flight was supposed to leave), with them giving periodic updates that they had called maintenance and were waiting for them. Finally I asked the people at the counter, who were visibly embarrassed, where maintenance was coming from (this is an airport - shouldn't they have it onsite), and they conceded that maintenance was at the airport, but they had no idea where they were. This delay resulted in me missing my connection in Denver, which caused me to miss the meeting and the whole reason I was flying back to Dallas a day early for. I essentially paid over $400 for an extra ticket (I had to not use my one on Friday - because it was just cheaper to buy a separate one way ticket). I will never fly United again."

Pros: "My first flight was cancelled and it appeared i wouldn't make it to my destination on the day which I intended. A Delta/united employee at the Eugene Airport (Collette) quickly and kindly moved some things around and got me a flight out only an hour later, upgraded me to comfort select seating, and some how managed to get me to my final destination (2 flights ) only an hour after I originally booked for. She did all this with a smile on her face while a worried guest (me) wasn't sure what he was going to do if it weren't for her impeccable service. Thanks Collete and United!"

Cons: "A few hours before flight time I was informed by email - not text - that "my flight" was canceled, which turned out to mean the flight went but I was bumped. I had to reschedule my entire trip for two days later (a trip to see a hospitalized relative). The affair would have upset me less if Kayak/United had simply informed me that they had overbooked the flight and they did not have room for me."
