Cons: "Traveling is always a challenge - abundance of patience required! We traveled from Dallas, Atlanta, Amsterdam, to Rome & back. Every country had a little different process for boarding and getting around - most had friendly staff, on point, helping clueless, stressed, & frustrated travelers. I was really disappointed in Atlanta, not a very welcoming or helpful spirit for visitors to US - not all (80% were awesome), mainly those trying to greet and direct through customs. Most hate the arrogant America anyway, don’t make it worse - put your best people on the front lines to help with international relations & show why the US is the best. Put those that don’t want to be here loading bags out back! Sorry for the lecture, but this is any business!"

Cons: "The morning of my flight I got a notice the departures time was changed by one hour later but to still arrive at the airport at the same time. So I ended up spending almost four hours at the airport before leaving. Boarding was a mess as "groups" were not called but everyone just rushed the gate in mass and we're let on. Staff were functional but looked and acted surly. It was a functional flight in that I arrived at my destination but it was not managed and I did not feel my business was wanted-only my money."

Pros: "The crew is always wonderful. The complimentary beverage and snack really makes the flight better, even in the tiny seats. The flights with tv screens and charging ports are great, although they only seem to be on my shorter of the two connecting flights."
Cons: "Crew allows the first zones to place both their carryon and personal items in overhead storage, filling the bins before many travelers board the plane. We are then asked to check our bag, and are forced to put our 1 bag between our legs, whole many people stored two overhead. Flight was delayed a few minutes and time was not made up in air. Delta changed a few of our flights before we were even off the plane, while other passengers were allowed to keep their original flight (originally we all had the same connecting flight). Looks to me like they overbooked and pulled some of us randomly. Also, my checked bag was sent on wrong plane, and sat unattended at next airport for 2 hours."

Cons: "Delta doesn't manage their flight schedules and personnel with backup or standby crew in order to assist whenever there are delays across domestic flights. The plane was late to arrive at the gate and we were also told that while the pilot was ready to take off, we couldn't leave because we were waiting for a flight attendant to land from Pittsburgh (we were in La Guardia airport in NYC). delta would rather I convenience the flyer instead of hiring more personnel or figuring out standby or backup plans for delayed flights."

Cons: "I had a problem getting a boarding pass that was a carryforward from a problem that I had had on the flights from the USA to Frankfort 2 weeks earlier. On those flights, I was denied boarding on the flight from Amsterdam to Frankfort because of miscommunication between Delta and KLM. Apparently, the staff who dealt with that problem did not note that the issue had occurred, so it looked like there were "out-of-sequence" segments on my initial flight and I was not allowed to check in electronically. It took several calls to KLM and Delta in Frankfurt to try to resolve the problem and finally it was determined that it could only be resolved at the airport. Other than a very nice KLM representative, the other people I talked to seemed unwilling to engage in helping me and sent me along to someone else. Although the problem was ultimately fixed, this was not a great customer service experience."

The earbuds I was given didn't work, my own didn't work, apparently the seat I was in has a connectivity issue, so the sound kept blasting in and out and was horrible. I had to hold the connector in the seat. The food option was non-existant once the cart came to me, the only option was chicken, which was horrible. Overall, I was not impressed with the service or flight ...."

Pros: "The crew was amazing. We had a two hour delay on the ground due to thunderstorms, but the pilot kept us informed and the flight attendants answered any questions and helped with everything. The pilot even walked down the isle asking people if they had any questions."
Cons: "We booked our tickets through American Express over 3 months before the flight. Delta has a new policy that these tickets are not allowed to have certain privileges that tickets purchased on their own site have. Unbeknown to us, one of these is the ability to select your seat. On the ride from CVG to FLL we were assigned seats in the back of the plane, but at least we were next to each other. On the way back, we were not assigned a seat at all. We arrived to the airport almost 4 hours before the flight and were still not assigned a seat and were told we would have to speak to the gate agent. Even we when spoke to the gate agent, they still did not have a seat. It was not until we had already started the boarding process that they called us up and told us that we were going to be sitting 5 rows apart, both in a middle seat."

They are trying to charge me $550 for this cancellation claiming they are not the ones who cancelled the reservation, and that I did. From what I understand the flight wasn't available in the first place and should not have been posted to purchase. British Airways will not take responsibility however."
Pros: "Amenities were about on par with other international airlines. The entertainment console was wonderful. The trip was more quickly than expected."

We were there 2.5 hours before our flight and had to rush to make it on time due to the awful lines for the checking our bags and general disorganization of American Airlines. The staff on the plane missed our row when offering drinks near the end of the flight and were not careful about bumping elbows and shoulders as they frequented the aisle. Also couldn't sit by my family which was a huge bummer."

I requested special accommodations with extra leg room as a result of recent knee surgery. My seat location was in row 34, the back of the cabin. Not as pleasant. Too far to walk leg room uncomfortable at times during the 8 hour flight."
Cons: "American Airlines baggage check-in at Paris CDG was total chaos. It took 1 1/2 hours. They need a systems analyst to review their process; especially for customers using their ticket kiosks during check-in when the lines get long. There's never a problem when the lines are small (duh !!). The staff involved in baggage check did well considering the poor process flow they had to deal with. The entire flight crew was great. It is management that is falling down on the job."
Pros: "American airlines is located in a small terminal at CDG which works to its advantage. Compared to other airlines, getting to the US from Paris is a lot easier. The airplane was brand new, entertainment on board is the best I've seen in a long time. In Chicago, clearing immigration and customs was a breeze, the airport is very well designed for international travelers."

Cons: "The organization with American Airlines at Charles de Gaulle was absolutely pathetic. I understand it's a busy airport, but NONE of the other airlines had lines like American did. Then by the time you get up to an American airline employee, incompetence was written all over their faces. The straw that broke the camel's back was that they insisted on separating my partner and me while doing security questions, meanwhile other parties who were together were not separated (LGBT discrimination). This pushed us back 10 minutes--we were separated and he was having to wait for me after the questioning to get my bag checked, too. I'll add that we arrived to the airport with over 2 hours to spare before our flight which should have been more than enough time. We probably would have missed the flight if not for a few decent Charles de Gaulle employees who bumped us though lines at customs when they realized the time crunch, no thanks to anyone with American Airlines. I heard so many saying they will not use American Airlines again, and how saving a few dollars was not worth the headache. Flying is already stressful enough, don't make it that much worse."

Cons: "This is a code share with American Airlines and an American Airlines plane and crew and it is an out of date plane. There were no individual screens only 1 screen hanging down every five or six seats. The seats are very, very narrow. The cleanliness of the tray tables were gooey and full of crusted dirt as were the seat areas in front of the tray tables. I was told that they fly an even older plane from Europe to NY, which is an old one aisle plane. Not sure why AA continues to use such out of date planes but if they use planes from the 1980's it seems to me that they should charge 1980 prices!"

Entertainment center on the back of the seat are so old it takes forever to download anything and it freezes all the time when it happens to work. The selection is very poor. There is NO entertainment for children."

The armrests were broken and could it move on the aisle side and could not stay upon the center side. I felt lucky to find my luggage at the end of the trip. I do love Finnair!!! And feel like you should tell AA to pay attention to the comfort of your passengers in coach class. They are only interested in business customers."

People were lined up for the bathrooms most of the trip since could not use the small first class bathroom. If one wanted a meal, it was one you had to pay for. Broken monitor"

Pros: "I had THE WORST experience with ONE flight attendant leaving Paris CDG, flying to Chicago O’Hare. Flight #9334. On 7/26 @ 11:22am. I am hypoglycemic and the flight attendant skipped my line for food I acknowledged her three times and she ignored me so on the fourth time I raised my voice saying “excuse me ma’am” that seem to have irritated her or rubbed her the wrong way because her response was extremely unprofessional yelling at me and accused me of startling her. She compared my voice to the startle of 911 and caused a scene in front of the majority of the passengers. All I wanted was the food that was available for each passenger because she skipped My row. After talking to another flight attendant who claim to be a manager name Celeste who was wearing a visible name tag along with every other flight attendant except for her, I asked her for the name so I could write up a review she refused to give me her name saying it was against their policy to give up first names even though it’s clearly on everybody’s shirt except hers she removed it or covered it up w/ her apron even though Robert Robert was wearing an apron with his name tag outside of his apron like he should the attendant that gave me problems took off her name tag and covered it with an apron that was a violation of dress code. A simple apology is all I asked for but she refused to apologize and the managers only response was “I can’t make her apologize” Never in my life have I been treated with such disrespect on a flight as I am a frequent flyer to Paris on United everybody else and all other flights was extremely helpful and courteous. This woman started ranting and raving about 911 and getting people nervous for no reason. I will be writing a formal letter to the corporate office. I just barely got home and wanted to write this review because it ruined my experience in 9 1/2 hour flight experience. It was also very embarrassing for me and my family, as other customers were bothered by this and had to listen to this. I was trying to speak over the air conditioner and after the third time of her not acknowledging me that is one I raise my voice politely by saying “excuse me ma’am”. I am a frequent united flier. Furthermore I have scoliosis and I’m handicapped our flight got delayed by 3 furthermore I have scoliosis and I’m handicapped our flight got delayed by 2 1/2 hrs. By this time my back was throbbing and when I talked to the gentleman upfront he told me to write a letter for some type of compensation regarding everything I have been through. Here are pictures of the lady who is out of dress code the flight attendant and also out of line dealing with plus dealing with customers she’s obviously unhappy with her job and should not be in the customer service industry as I know for being a businesswoman myself owning my own salon I deal with customers all day and I know my number one job is to make sure my customers are happy I am not ."

I am hypoglycemic and the flight attendant skipped my line for food I acknowledged her three times and she ignored me so on the fourth time I raised my voice saying “excuse me ma’am” that seem to have irritated her or rubbed her the wrong way because her response was extremely unprofessional yelling at me and accused me of startling her. She compared my voice to the startle of 911 and caused a scene in front of the majority of the passengers. All I wanted was the food that was available for each passenger because she skipped My row. After talking to another flight attendant who claim to be a manager name Celeste who was wearing a visible name tag along with every other flight attendant except for her, I asked her for the name so I could write up a review she refused to give me her name saying it was against their policy to give up first names even though it’s clearly on everybody’s shirt except hers she removed it or covered it up w/ her apron even though Robert Robert was wearing an apron with his name tag outside of his apron like he should the attendant that gave me problems took off her name tag and covered it with an apron that was a violation of dress code. A simple apology is all I asked for but she refused to apologize and the managers only response was “I can’t make her apologize” Never in my life have I been treated with such disrespect on a flight as I am a frequent flyer to Paris on United everybody else and all other flights was extremely helpful and courteous. This woman started ranting and raving about 911 and getting people nervous for no reason. I will be writing a formal letter to the corporate office. I just barely got home and wanted to write this review because it ruined my experience in 9 1/2 hour flight experience. It was also very embarrassing for me and my family, as other customers were bothered by this and had to listen to this. I was trying to speak over the air conditioner and after the third time of her not acknowledging me that is one I raise my voice politely by saying “excuse me ma’am”. I am a frequent united flier. Furthermore I have scoliosis and I’m handicapped our flight got delayed by 3 furthermore I have scoliosis and I’m handicapped our flight got delayed by 2 1/2 hrs. By this time my back was throbbing and when I talked to the gentleman upfront he told me to write a letter for some type of compensation regarding everything I have been through. Here are pictures of the lady who is out of dress code the flight attendant and also out of line dealing with plus dealing with customers she’s obviously unhappy with her job and should not be in the customer service industry as I know for being a businesswoman myself owning my own salon I deal with customers all day and I know my number one job is to make sure my customers are happy I am not ."

Cons: "My Wife and I got booted from Lufthansa to a United flight where our seats were across the plane from each other. In order to sit together, we had to spend another $300. United charged us an extra $100 for a check on bag that Swiss and Lufthansa did not charge us for."
Pros: "Boarding went very smoothly. Flight attendants were good. I was glad that water was offered several times during the flight."

Pros: "The huge windows and overhead bins on the 787 are fantastic. United has a decent seatback entertainment system, however it could stand to use maybe a few more movies. In economy the food was palatable, I went with the cheese manicotti for "lunch" and was awoken to a ham and cheese on a pretzel bun for "breakfast." The Illy coffee is much better than the old garbage."
Cons: "The boarding area at CDG while nice was very hot. The huge windows made the place a hot house. I was relieved to get on the plane where it was much cooler."
Pros: "Flying the the new 787 was good; not great - seating is still very tight, but that is the nature of flying; I get it. For what it is - no disappointments."
Cons: "Told the gate attendant I was flying home for my dad's funeral and if there was anything they could do to move my seat from a middle seat to aisle seat he said not without charging me but I could ask when I boarded the plane. Once the doors were closing I asked the flight attendant if I could move up one row to an open aisle seat she said no not without charging me. I said there's no one in that whole row and I'm flying home for my dad's funeral and could they make an exception I would show them the obituary and funeral brochure if needed I just wanted some space. She got another gate attendant I explained the same thing and he said no. He said the seat will have to remain empty if I wasn't willing to pay for it. I told him r u serious? U r that inconsiderate and heartless as a company. I've already booked 2 flights w United and u can't make an exception as I was in tears he said no nothing. And walked off the flight. This airline is heartless and deserves all the bad publicity it's getting. Horrible horrible service. And the flight attendant Beth did nothing about it after he left."

Cons: "Almost missed the flight due to border police lines being extensively long in Paris. They had to rush me through after my third request. I go to the airport 90 minutes ahead of flight time."

Cons: "In economy, if the person in front of you reclines all the way - it totally invades your space and is not sustainable. I put up with a rude princess that reclined her chair the whole 8 hours (even when she went to the bathroom). I get that they need to recline...but there has to be some ethical guidelines!"

Cons: "The seating remains appalling not only in the size of the seat but the leg room. When the seats are put back by passengers ahead the tray tables become a implement of further reduction of comfort. Most passengers attempt to get up just to relieve cramping, but thr aisles are so small it is difficult to find relief. It is more than discomfort it is painful."
Pros: "It was my first international flights, and both going there and coming back went amazingly well. Everything was exceptional."

Cons: "The delay in take-off. And most of all, the CDG as a point of connection - not a fault of the airline."
Cons: "A mechanical issue delayed our return by over an hour. I guess they didn't know the extent or the time needed to repair, so we boarded at the regular time and sat in the plane. Good cabin crews both ways. Food meh. The 787 over was much better than the aging 767 coming back. I like the new app based entertainment system."
Pros: "Staff was nice and plane wasn't full so had space for better sleeping since there was nothing better to do on the plane."
Cons: "I was very disappointed. Why spend so much money on updating first class and business when the rest of the seats are completely out of date. I couldn't even charge my phone to get ahold of my ride when we landed. And the tiny screens barely worked, couldn't even watch a movie because it just froze up the whole time."

On way back asked if it was possible to get a newspaper and attendant answer very impolitely that was for business and she didn't think it was going to be nothing left. Being polite and accommodating is part of their job."

Cons: "This was not a Luftansa flight, it was United. The crew was okay, but were not very good with putting any effort in for the passengers. The entertainment systems were clunky, slow and unresponsive. They looked old and/or just poorly designed or implemented. Could have just been cheap? Mine froze during the flight and never worked after that. The food was some of the worst I've ever had on a flight. Don't choose the vegetarian option unless you want an upset stomach. Seats were cramped and uncomfortable, but at least we got a clean blanket. They kept the plane cold for some unknown reason, so we needed it."
Cons: "I couldn't put subtitles in French on English movies. 8 could only watch them dubbed. I didn't understand this as it seems standard for all other flights I've taken."
Pros: "The crew was nice to our one year old. And because it wasn't a full flight we were able to give him a seat which saved us!"
Cons: "We're healthy vegans and the snacks aren't friendly for us at all. We brought our own but to have options would have been nice."
Cons: "Tried to change flight to different day, and agent said it was available. I had to call them to find out not only was the flight no longer available, but there were none in the same time frame I needed and the next option would cost $1500+. I lost over $575 for a flight I couldn't even take. DO NOT BOOK ON KAYAK!"
Pros: "I liked that we landed early, but the airport was not ready for us, so practically all the advantage of the early landing was lost. The food was decent, but the final snack was kind of rushed. We had a safe, relatively smooth flight."
Cons: "I couldn't hear many of the announcements and the intercom quality was poor. Seating is always cramped in Economy, especially on a crowded flight."
Cons: "Touch screen on the outgoing flight was awful...the right half didn't work so pretty much no selections could be made. The return flight screen functioned ok. Also, no USB charge port on either flight!"
