She had coffee and snack mix but didn’t ask anyone, just handed them what they got. Overall I was very disappointed in the flight from Fayetteville, NC to Atlanta and with the gate agents at the Atlanta airport. I usually expect more from delta. They didn’t offer vouchers to make up for the missed connection or offer to pay for a hotel since the next flight out was the next morning."

Even if you have a ticket labeled as Group 1, you may still be one of the last boarded because of all the different programs that have priority over you. Would be better to limit the advance boarding to people who need extra help and a single program. This leads to the question, why are there so many different programs? Wouldn't it be easier to have a single loyalty program? If you don't qualify for advance boarding because you did not purchase a first class seat, or you haven't reached the advance boarding requirements, you don't qualify. Let's start thinking about the customer again, and less on the profit margin. How would one of your executives feel if they had a boarding Group 2 and 85% of the plane was already boarded by the time your group was called, thereby limiting the space for your correct size carry-on? One more thing that would be beneficial, enforce the size limit for carry-on luggage. I have been to airports that limit the size with a box on the x-ray machine so you can not even get an oversized piece of luggage through security. Just one idea for the industry."

Even less than 24 hours before the flight they were trying to trick me into selecting a less desirable seat or pay an additional $93 per seat. It was only because we got to the airport early did better seats mysteriously become available. Even after selecting seats they still tried to get us to pay for "better" seating."

Cons: "Couldn't get our meal preference selected, Iberia page for the flight check-in didn't work at all, getting a page not found error. Then after calling Iberia, and getting the AA confirmation managed to at least get into AAs web site for the flight, but now it was apparently too late to change our food option, and AA wouldn't work with us at all, the phone agent event LIED on the phone suggesting we could talk to customer service at the airport to have them provide an appropriate meal option. The customer service line was CORDONED OFF at LAX, and getting help out of their agents was like trying to get blood from a stone. The worst customer service experience I've ever had, even than Comcast. Then, I guess this ticket is economy minus, you have to pay more for seats that aren't at the total arse end of the plane. WTF. Economy means economy, not the back end of economy, but now you gotta pay to "upgrade" to regular economy. I can't imagine what that must have been like for families of four with children who are being extorted just so they can sit together. Then at the airport, despite having been assigned a gate, the plane came into a different gate, and we're just sitting there slowly wondering more and more why there aren't many people around. Finally we have to go ask another airlines' desk where our plane is at (it never had a correct gate assignment on the monitors) to figure out where we had to board. No announcement, no agent at the old gate to direct passengers to the correct place. Upon traveling to London on the red-eye, they proceeded to keep the plane completely dark the entire trip. No attempt to help passengers adjust to the destination time zone at all. Trying to open a window resulting in being curtly asked to close it. Jet lag on eastbound transatlantic is bad enough without the airline making it worse. On the return journey the line for the gate was around the corner AFTER boarding had started, and people couldn't board in any sort of order. My entertainment system crashed, when they finally came round with food, I could ask them to reset it. Having paid for the Wifi, which is fine, it's an add-on service, it was difficult to connect to, my phone really struggled to bring up the sign-in page, and I had to reboot my laptop three times, clearing my browser cache to get it to connect. The connection and payment screens were very slow, which was because the wifi overall was very slow. I am sitting on the plane waiting to hear from my father about his critical surgery with my phone dropping on and off the wifi due to slowness and extreme packet loss (>50%). I had been hoping to get some work done on the flight, so much for that idea, I couldn't maintain a solid VPN connection for more than 5 minutes at a time. I will never fly AA again unless they are the last option at a non-horrible price. This was an emergency trip as it was, and booked through Iberia; thanks for nothing Iberia."

I think most people would agree that when they purchase a boarding pass, it is assumed that it includes a seat. Having to pay extra for a seat was something I did not plan for and it was out of my budget, but I had no choice, because I had to get home somehow! I'll be going without groceries this week due to this unplanned expense."

While AA offered the option of paying extra for additional legroom, if you declined the offer, you could not obtain a seat. I know that it is getting unusual to have any sort of enjoyable experience on an airline, but the lack of transparency ("group two" for boarding is actually the fifth group to enter the aircraft) is totally unnecessary."

We were at the mercy of the crappy movies American Airlines chose for us. Most flights these days have individual entertainment and at a minimum room for luggage. The plane was old, dirty and not up to date. Never flying American again. Extremely disappointed with the service on the flight, as well. A little more than halfway through the flight, the woman in the row next to me began reading the airline magazine. Her window shade was up and the sunlight caused a horrible glare on the magazine pages that beamed like a laser over everyone near by. My friend seated next to me and I both have extreme sensitivity to light that causes migraines. I asked the woman to close her shade which at first she did about an inch or two. This didn't do anything to help the glare so I asked again and she refused to do anything more. I explained it was giving us migraines and she didn't seem to care. I asked the flight attendant to help navigate the situation, which was just as useless. She said she could ask but not force her to close her window shade. While I understand that AA can't control that some people can be selfish, I find it incredibly hard to believe that the crew can't intervene when a passengers actions are making other people physically ill. Our only other option was to be relegated to the last row, next to the crews stinking pile of garbage that had been accumulating for the first five hours of the trip. Almost every crew member we interacted with was completely apathetic to the situation. We spent the rest of flight nauseous and with splitting headaches. But I sure hope my row mate and fellow human being in 32A enjoyed the article about the dinosaur flea market in Bolivia This entire situation could have been mediated by the flight attendants who chose to disengage. Furthermore, when we were deceding to land, overhead bins were still open, and people were starting to stand up to gather their belongings in the overhead bins. Again, the apathetic flight attendants were no where to be found. Overall, disappointing experience. Glad to never have to fly them again."

But I was smiling at her and just asking how to go about changing our connecting flights and she seemed a little bit ready to get rid of me. And the next plane we got on, one of our tv screens didn’t work. And the connecting flight was delayed also because of a technical problem."

Cons: "Three hrs late. Direct tv for 1st class was non existent. Gave us a bag of chips as a "premier snack""

Cons: "The free in-flight wifi entertainment did not work. The cabin was too warm the whole flight. I was sweating in a Tshirt."

Cons: "Apparently I had to pay $25 and check a bag that I would ordinarily carried on."

Pros: "The entertainment was okay although the controls were having some issues since they weren't working properly"
Cons: "The unfriendliness of some of the crew. We were given ice cream and it came with a wood spoon however I am allergic to wood utensils and asked one of the crew members if they could provide me with a plastic spoon or a plastic fork and he just ignored me and I had to go all the way in the back to ask to another crew member for a plastic utensil."

Cons: "Worst customer service of my life. I will NEVER fly United Airlines again."

Pros: "Everything ,good services ,nice stafs and puntual"

Pros: "We never took flight as carrier was late from original destination, so we had to switch to American to make connections to SFO our dual destination. Then 1of our checked bags didn't make it to the new flight. Bag is still floating between United & American somewhere."

Pros: "They boarded us knowing there was a mechanical issue so we satin the plane for two hours before moving. They also did not have the courtesy to inform us what was happening. DO NOT FLY UNITED AIRLINES."
Cons: "After leaving two hours late and having them force us to sit on the plane rather than in the airpoet, they did not offer a free snack or drink or even apologize. Then when we landed we sat on the runway for another full hour and the pilots didn't come on EVEN ONCE to tell us what we were waiting for. We are human beings, not cattle, and we paid good money for this service; yet we are treated like less than human and simply fleshy cargo. DO NOT FLY UNITED AIRLINES."

Cons: "They cancelled the flight and we took a small bus instead. It took over 2 hours after the flight was cancelled for us to be on a bus to make the 90 min drive to Sacramento. Horrible, I wish I would have paid for a bus ticket instead of paying for a flight."

Pros: "Service was great. Took off on time and landed early! Food was pretty good as airlines go. My TV monitor stopped working part way through the flight but really no a big deal."

Pros: "I barely missed my scheduled flight and the ticket agent was very accommodating. He found another flight and re-made all my arrangements. Thanks!"

Cons: "No one working the ticket counter at check in for questions. Obviously understaffed!"

Pros: "Everything was great"

Pros: "Great entertainment selection"
Cons: "Some problem in the back bathroom made the plane smell very badly. Had to cover my mouth and nose with my shirt. Smell particularly bad on ground and of course we didn't take off for an hour after boarding. Third flight I've taken on united in two weeks that was delayed."

Pros: "Left on time,luggage not missed and good landing"

Pros: "Boarding was quick once it happened"
Cons: "Both of my united flights were delayed due to crew issues, one they were stuck in traffic, we'll they should leave early like we do. The next they were late for some clearance issues. The seats on this air craft were very thin and uncomfortable, you could feel the metal."

Pros: "I didn't use the service. But it did look like good"
Cons: "Nothing"

Cons: "The little packages of Asian mix and Ranch mix that they give you with your soft drink. And the snacks you could buy were limited to one thing--tapas."

Pros: "The crew and plane"

Pros: "Boarding was simple and easy."
Cons: "Seating is much too narrow and much too close together. My knees were against the seat in front of me."

Pros: "Nothing. Very unhappy"

Cons: "Delays"

Pros: "Movies were okay, although screens froze a few times"
Cons: "Rush to board because of long security and announcement that gate was closing. Attendants were rude and curt. Food was minimal, inedible for international flight."
