No internet--big drawback on overseas flights. On our trip there, one bathroom was a mess, plus out of toilet paper. Told the stewardess, and they closed it for a while--took some time for it to be attended to. The entertainment choices are VERY slim--don't know why a more extensive list of choices could not be made available."

Then our new flight with a later time to Bremen was cancelled 20 minutes prior to boarding with no more flights to this area. The service center helped us redirect another flight to Hamburg, Germany. We had to fly to Vienna and then to Hamburg. We made it to Vienna after a 40 minute delay however, this delay caused us to miss our connecting flight once again. We were placed on an early flight the next morning to Hamburg which was an easy flight. When we got to luggage in Hamburg we noticed our luggage was missing. Supposably still in Munich. We then missed this flight and missed out on valuable time with friends who live in Germany."

We ended up in an airport hotel where we caught four hours' sleep before returning to the airport. Newark airport is the worst I've ever experienced. Getting our passports stamped took more than an hour. There were five officials there to clear five or six hundred U.S. passport holders. Then, the TSA people were rude, inefficient, and achingly slow. Overall, it was a horrible experience."

Apparently, bed bugs on planes are becoming more common place! We've contacted Air Canada via email about a week ago and are waiting to hear back from them. Furthermore, the flight to and from Tokyo did not allow much time for sleeping. The flight attendants were going up and down the aisles very often with meals/snacks, drinks, duty-free, and charity requests. I was expecting a lull after the dinner meal where they would dim the lights and limit services for a few hours, but it did not happen. While impressive how many services were available it was a bit much and would have preferred less to allow for some quiet time. Finally, the return flight from Tokyo to Toronto there was a single flight attendant who was quite rude to the other attendants as well as passengers. While boarding a lady in front of us didn't have her boarding pass when entering the plane but was with her husband. This flight attendant asked her for the pass, and she said she knew where her seat was because her husband was right in front of her and they were sitting together (at this point we had our boarding passed check 3 times before even boarding the plane). The attendant raised her voice at the lady and told her it didn't matter and that she needed the pass. Within a few minutes, she was getting after a few flight attendants for insignificant things. This behavior continued throughout the flight, very unprofessional. This was my first time flying Air Canada and I was not impressed."

Out of security by 6 am. My shift at the hospital started at 7 am. I have never had a flight delayed to this extent, especially without an explanation. My nephew was on flight 1894 from Toronto. Everything was fine when they checked the ETD. They arrived at YYZ at 1300 only to finally board 12 hours later. Totally unacceptable."

If it is UA policy to leave counters unattended, an explanation should be posted; if present policy requires one individual to handle counter and gate duties, perhaps more help is needed. This experience, all the more frustrating when a passenger ruses early so as to comply with recommended arrival and boarding times, combined with the fact that the incoming flight significantly delayed AVL to Washington depart setting the tone for a mostly mediocre experience crowned by a painful trek from terminal A to terminal C to catch the connection to PVD. Not a best effort by UA. Outstanding flight and cabin crews saved the day."
Cons: "The flight was delayed because the inbound aircraft arrived late, but United didn't notify me until I was already at the airport. They would have known about the delay for hours already by that point, so I could have rebooked on a different flight. Instead I had to spend the night by the airport in Hartford or risk missing my connection and being stranded in Chicago."

Airline few us into an airport that was the center of a political protest which was known at the time of takeoff. Finally switched and bags took another 20 minutes. Baggage claim always takes over 30 minutes at this airport. Subway is rickety and outdated."

Cons: "There was a delay at the beginning with no communication. The AC was off in the beginning and it was too hot hen after it wa turned up way too high and was freezing. The seats were really uncomfortable."

So needless to say I did not get to Ottawa and had to purchase a hotel room in Newark. United is telling me I may not get on another flight until tomorrow night. I am very disappointed."

While LH received my payment on Nov. 21st, it is now more than 3 months later and I still have not received reimbursement. I am very upset and disappointed with LH's unresponsiveness to my request."

Cons: "My boarding pass was not scanning which was holding up the line. A second person came over to approve me getting on the plane. That person made me check the size of my carry on bag, which had gotten bigger from some things I purchased in the airport but was just a touch too large for their sizer. She attempted to check the bag meaning I wouldn't have it until my final destination, which I was NOT ok with for two reasons. One was i had a 3 hour layover after this flight and needed work materials inside. The second was i was on a time crunch to get my ride at my final destination and was only traveling with carry on. She was very rude and insitant on it fitting inside the sizer as she stood over me with the tag to check my bag. I managed to take some things out that I moved into my backpack, which meant I had to awkwardly carry my blanket and travel pillow onto the plane. The most frustrating part was when I got on the plane, it was oversized top carryon bins, so the extra inch my bag grew would have been fine. Because of the time it took me to rearrange, i was the last one on the plane and all the bins had been filled with tiny second bags, but a few people on the plane had seen what happened and they rearranged a space for me. Also my video screen was broken and everyone else's worked. And there were two screaming babies around me the whole flight, but that is no one's fault."

Cons: "Departure was delayed for five hours. Gate changes 4 different times to opposite sides of the terminal. Weren't told honest reason of the delay until two hours in. They boarded half of the plane and stopped when the pilots radioed in that there was a severe hydraulic fluid leak. Updates were supposed to happen every thirty minutes but more than three times they were longer than thirty minute intervals and at one point more than ninety minutes without an update. The representatives at the Chicago gate told us we were all set then the rest of the passengers boarded the plane. The pilot said they were waiting on maintenance paperwork to print off but then we waited an extra hour at the gate on board while we could still hear very loud tests of the hydraulic system. Once we finally left the gate and headed out on the runway for takeoff we stopped just before takeoff and the pilot said we were waiting on PAPERWORK AGAIN! This was another 30 minute delay and we finally took off. We were supposed to arrive home at 10:00pm and instead arrived at 3:00am..."

Cons: "Airport was horrible! Security line was 45 min. long and on the other side of the world. The plane was an hour late! No snow. No storms. Why? The crew, I guess tired, seemed bothered by the company of the passengers. The line to wait at the gate was very unorganized and confusing. No one knew which line was for which gate and people where cutting into lines everywhere. The airlines should provide better guidance for its passengers. I was connecting from Germany with Lufthansa and wow what a difference in customer service."

Cons: "A lady with a dog on a leash was allowed on board. I do not think it was a service dog. In the gate area, the dog was encouraged to get up on the seat. The owner also walked the dog over to a couple to visit, and the couple had a large cat in a carrier. The dog owner did not see the cat in the carrier for a few minutes. Then, when she did realized it she did not move away. You could see that the dog noticed the cat and was getting excited, and proceeded to bark. I don't know why she didn't back away when she noticed the cat. On board, the dog, still on a leash, didn't stay under her feet. The owner did not hang on to the leash."
