Our gate at terminal J was very crowded and seating is extremely limited. Security check was quick and smooth. They only ask to remove laptops and tablets. Liquids can remain in your carry-on if you don't check them. As usual, allow plenty of time to get through bag check and security - 3 hours like they recommend.

Don’t sit on the inside seat during a lay flat flight. Don’t order the beef short ribs, they’re kinda fatty, and chewy.. Try all the whiskey.
RobertFlew with United Airlines-Jun 2026
Be prepared to pay for luggage when you buy your ticket and be charged again at the terminal.

I have greatly enjoyed Tao Portugal. Nice service. Just be aware they weigh both your carry on and your personal item at the same time at the airport counter when you check in for the flight. Both can not excede 12 Kilograms.

Some US airlines have a bag drop area in the Car Hire Centre. Tampa are now charging $6 to use a trolley from the Car Hire Centre. No charges are made when you use a trolley in the baggage hall.

Limited airport lounges - take a packed lunch rather poor and expensive catering outlets

If you have connections make sure they are at least tree hours from your landing time

Orlando International terminal C is a good quality terminal with plenty of seating and facilities. Manchester is invariably slow with disembarkation and luggage after landing.

I like American Airlines for international flights. There economy seems more spacious and accommodating. Also, immigration in Frankfurt can be crowded, give yourself plenty of time. I saw several people miss their connecting flights.

Your airlines was convent to travel on but should try to go directly through your airlines to avoid extra extra fees and charges by third parties. Can you book flights directly at airport for future flights?
karenFlew with American Airlines-Aug 2024
leave two hours for your flight connection in Madrid if it's not your final destination
Verified travelerFlew with Aer Lingus-May 2024
If you’re vegan eat before departure or take snacks! Boarding etc is fine. Usually fast so don’t mess around getting last minute gifts from Disney/Universal/Seaworld stores.
Verified travelerFlew with British Airways-Jan 2024
Arrive in plenty of time for check in and security.
NeilFlew with British Airways-Jan 2024
Try to upgrade. The international facilities at the airport post security are very busy and unpleasant. Try to book into a lounge if you can although you may need to upgrade to business class. the American Airlines lounge is pay on the day but it costs $150 per person.

Navigating through Miami airport requires careful sign reading as signage is pretty poor!
