When I arrived for my flight from FLL on Sunday night, I was not able to check-in on a kiosk and had to wait in a long line to speak to an agent. I let the staff know that I had a flight at 8:10 pm and they said that it didn't matter because the flight was already closed and I would not be able to go anyway. I do not understand why I was not allowed to get on my flight if I was at the airport. They had no answer except that it was already closed. They hadn't even started to board the flight yet I was forced to wait in line which caused me to miss the last flight to Boston. I had to stay overnight at my own expense and then miss a day of work as a result.
I was also told at the desk that I could check in my bag online that night to save money. I tried to and it would not allow me to because I was already checked in. The next day I asked if I could have the discounted price since I was given bad information and I was told no.
There were many people in line around me who who were having similar issues to me, missing flights, not being allowed to check-in, told to wait in the wrong line and then sent to another long line.A woman next to me even printed her boarding pass at the kiosk and it had the wrong name with her record ID. This is a security risk and is unacceptable and unsafe.
At some point I was told by someone that I had to be there at least 90 minutes prior to flight to be able to check-in. Is this your policy? If it is, it should be made clear to your clients. Your policies are unclear and your staff does not give out accurate information to clients. I would only fly Spirit Air again if there was no other option.
The airport didn't have us go out of the building and re go thru customs. ( as we have had to do) Same general area for catching the other leg of flight.
Just a small delay to check a switch problem.

The directions given on the planes are done to fast and to rehearsed.
No one seemed to catch the directions. Very loud and very fast spoken. No sure which segment had the worst issue with this.
The loudness was way too much for ones ears.
It takes 40 minutes to get a hold of the customer representative and that is if you trick the system and make them believe you were trying to buy a ticket instead of complaining about their services . The phone number is hidden so well I called five different numbers to finally get a hold of the right person . They try their hardest to not accommodate nobody they try their hardest to hide their customer services . When I finally got a hold of the customer service . The Gentlemen even egg knowledge that there's a lot of people that complain about the same thing and he is heard it many times when I was suggesting that they make the website a little bit more accommodating to get a hold of the customer representative . Will never fly with them again . They're cheap because they are for you nothing and will not accommodate anything to take care of you whenever they make you miss your flight because the connecting flight was delayed over an hour . Had to pay $200 for a hotel plus an additional $250 for a connecting flight the next day Not happy
I bought these tickets through Kayak, which then directed me to priceline. I had no idea during booking that this airline charges an exorbitant fee for every single courtesy. To carry on a bag is minimum $55 and maximum $100. To check a bag is $50. Please tell me, who flies internationally from Guatemala to Boston WITH NO BAGS?! Additionally, soft drinks, which should be complementary are priced at $3. Their motto is don't pay hidden fees for things you don't use, but tell me, who doesn't want a drink on a 2.5 hour flight? The seats were the skinniest, thinnest, most uncomfortable seats I have ever had the displeasure in sitting in and there were advertisements on the overhead compartments, as if I were riding on the NYC subway. Although when I purchased the seats I selected to have my husband and myself sit next to each other, during check in, they tried to charge an additional $10 to rearrange our incorrectly-ticketed seats, so we could sit together as I had originally hoped. We then had the worst layover experience I've had to date, and I've traveled extensively domestically and to 14 countries, some multiple times. We had a 40-minute layover in Myrtle Beach, where 130 people remained on the plane to continue on to Boston. However, nearly all those passengers had different tickets for the second flight and although we did not deplane, we were expected to move ourselves and our baggage to our secondarily assigned seats. For some reason, for our flight to Boston, my husband and I were separated. I would never have voluntarily chosen to be separated from my husband, and I have no idea how we had seats next to each other for our two previous flights, but then were asked to separate for our third 2-hour flight. How is it possible with modern-day computer technology that we could not just remain in our same seats, when we were remaining on the same plane?
This was the worst travel experience I have ever had the displeasure of enduring and I will NEVER give my money to this airline again. This airline is a complete scam with all of its hidden costs, lack of customer service and completely inhumane treatment of its passengers. I strongly warn everyone to stay far away from Spirit Airlines.
I got to the airport with 45 mins to boarding time and the kiosk rejected to print my boarding pass. I had no bags to check in and not even a carrying on bag. I was flying to Boston with just a purse. I immediately went to the agent and the manager was standing next to her so she asked me to wait a min. Once she looked up my flight she and the manager said I couldn't get on because I was 43 mins late and they are allowed to cancel your flight if you are later than 45 mins from the boarding time. I was TWO minutes later and the security line was not long so I know I would have made my flight but they refused to give me a boarding pass. It was the worst service I EVER received and I bet they just wanted to give up my seat so they could resell it. I will NEVER fly spirit again.
Hidden fees everywhere!! Nickel and dime you to death! After paying for the all the hidden fees the flight was not cheaper than any well known airline. It's a scam! Uncomfortable cheap planes! Will never make the mistake of flying this airline again
