But as we were attempting to board I had to be checked a second time, I do not feel that this was necessary since I was already cleared by TSA. All they said was this is a random check. I was held so long that my and my wife had to search for over head space for our carry on bags, as there was almost none left. I do not feel that there was any cause for this and made our return flight very unpleasant."

Pros: "The crew was very courteous and made me feel comfortable. Even the pilot greeted me as I got on the plane. My seat was row 4 right behind 1st class! The plane wasn't completely full, so there was an open seat in the middle of my section. That was really nice! I especially like Sun Country because the airports in both Phoenix and MPLS are smaller than the main terminals!!! I'll be back! :0)"

Pros: "I am not a frequent flyer of any type, in fact this was only my 4th flight ever. I really like terminal 2 or Hubert Humphrey terminal out of Minneapolis/St. Paul it is easy to get in and out of or get dropped off. Everything is laid out and well marked so I can figure out where to go when I arrive. Staff was friendly and helpful and understanding that flying and the rules for boarding etc., are something I needed explained to me. I found my gate with no issues, and the announcements of when we would board etc., was clear and easy to understand. Sun County Crew were courteous, and friendly. I wasn't all that hungry and it was not a long flight, but the food choices looked good and reasonably priced. If I fly again I will try to use Sun Country."

Cons: "I was a little bummed that after I had payed for my bag over the phone because I was scared I might be charged more if I payed at the airport (Spirit Airlines has left me leary of baggage fees), the lady at the ticketing counter informed me that because of my military status I was eligible for my first bag free, but unfortunately could not refund me. (I totally understood) However, knowing this now does make us even more likely to fly Sun Country in the future! Thanks, Sun Country, for supporting our troops and their families!"

Should not be when I tried so many times. Frustrating.... Change that up please! No snacks either!"

Cons: "Again we had to pay for "premium seating" first trip on Sun Country and we were amazed that we could not have seats that have more leg room as my husband just had knee surgery and needed it, never had that problem with any airlines. But again we were told that other passengers booked them. Checking in at the airport there were 2 people working the counter and 1 was struggling to figure out the check in process. Back at the GATE we were getting nervous as there was no plane and no one at the counter. Well the same 2 people came to work the gate and we all had to wait for the plane. The passengers got off and they immediately started the loading process. Clearly there was not enough time for anyone to clean this plane. And we left late with no explanation."

Pros: "The back part of the plane wasn't full, I was sitting next to an elderly couple and the flight attendant came up to me and asked me if I would like to move to be more comfortable, I said sure, she was going to sit me with a row that only had one person in it then she said wait you know what sun country is all about flying in comfort and gave me a while row of seats to myself. I have anxiety when I fly and this really helped me relax and put me at ease, I cannot remember the attendants name but I just want to say thank you again! In will continue to fly sun country!"

Pros: "Nothing!!!! Actually we arrived home safely but exhausted & disgusted with the poor and often incompetent gate staff at Fort Meyers airport. However after pointing out that the 96 year old standing at the back of the line would absolutely need a hotel room to wait out the delay after her 12 hours sitting in the airport a Sun Country counter staff personally delivered her to a hotel room and back. This kindness was after describing this 96 year old woman is a bit of a Minnesota Super Star who has appeared on Jay Leno & Rosie's shows."
Cons: "50 characters is not enough to describe the horrible service received from Sun Country. It is obvious after a 24 hour delay where passengers were captive in the airport the staff is incompetent. People with small babies, elderly, disabled were not accommodated appropriately. Staff lied several times. Seemed like they had to keep us locked up for so many hours before the airline canceled. We think 12 hours and at 3 am allowed the airline to file a claim on insurance). By then many could not find a room, slept on floor at airport!!! They gave us vouchers, but I don't think I would fly with them if it was free. Home town airline has significantly inconvenienced four of our family vacations. Our time and vacation dollars are more valuable and in the future will do whatever we can not to fly Sun Country."

They were still cleaning up their mess a week later, claiming issues were due to weather while pilots admitted otherwise and all other airlines continued to fly with no issue. I will avoid this airline in the future, its not worth spending a little less to risk your vacation. Also if you have back problems none of their coach seats recline they are so cheap."

Also they do not participate in TSA pre-check program so had to go through full security. Should be advised of this in advance, and all the extra fees. I could have flown on American for less and had pre-check. Will know next time."

I noticed her energy at the gate, and then when she was on the flight, she joked and maintained a light and happy attitude! How refreshing! Unfortunate the aging fleet and overworked employees can't be better taken care of."
Cons: "I did read all the disclosures, so I was aware of other fees to add expense to my ticket which just comes across as ' not straight-forward'. So many financial penalties for not choosing the right/ best way to take your clothes with you when you travel!??? The website check-in is too messy, and misleading, also. I had to call to clarify the information on seat assignment which is a waste of everyone's time! We were delayed for an hour both at the gate and on the plane. Paying for orange juice on a plane is ridiculous! Missed my bus to Colorado Springs and had to wait another hour and a half for the next one."

Cons: "Being delayed over an hour with minimal explanation and zero apology is unacceptable. We picked that flight because it was the earliest back to Denver and were both subsequently late to meetings. The initial 25 minutes we understood, but adding an additional 30 while we were in the air and couldn't contact our respective bosses made one hell of a Friday for both of us. The seats (which we had to pay for) were glorified plastic chairs. Did not recline, had a tiny tray table, had zero pillow, and were super uncomfortable. I'm greatly confused as to why we pay a fare that doesn't include a seat, as there were literally zero free seats to choose from, and they were all just as uncomfortable. What exactly does the fare cover? Because carry on bags, beverages, and seats weren't included. The flight was approximately 4 hours long. Nearly half of that was tortuous as a child several rows ahead was having a full blown fit complete with yelling at the top of their lungs, hitting seats, etc. This was not your normal upset child on a plane, he was extremely misbehaving and there was no effort from the flight crew to ask the parents to calm him or to offer any help. It made the entire flight that much worse to watch the entire group of passengers appalled at this child's behavior and not so much as a free juice for him or even a hello from the crew to distract him. Both of us have been flying since we were toddlers and understand a crying child. This was so much more than that. We regret that frontier is often our only option for getting home to CO without purposefully booking an additional flight to another hub. Every time we have to fly Frontier we get our hopes up that things have improved and are regularly disappointed. Your planes rarely leave on time, and when they do the passenger experience is still sub par. Hoping we can get another major airline to put more flights out of Denver or Colorado Springs solely so we don't have to rely on Frontier, the unreliable carrier."

Cons: "Paid for a seat upgrade in the front row hoping to have more room on a long flight, only to be sandwiched between 2 very large people that should have paid for two seats. I have nothing against anyone who is larger, but when you are spilling over into my seat, I have a problem with that especially paying for an upgrade on a longer flight."

Cons: "Charging for a carry-on bag was just the beginning. I had packed a small carry-on (no checked-in baggage, mind you) with a few personal items that couldn't have checked without significant repacking. To carry on this small bag I had to pay $40 in the outbound flight and $30 (repacked) to check in in the in-bound flight. This totally upset the reason for going with Frontier in the first place. The seat was so small that even with my small body frame (5'8" and 150 pounds), it was a hellishly cramped seating. The tray was so small that I was unable to place my small laptop on this contraption and work. Terrible, terrible, terrible! There was not even a cup of coffee on board. All they had was junk food for sale. Well, I had my first and absolutely positively my last flight on Frontier Airlines."

Cons: "Frontier nickel and dimes you for everything possible. They advertise that they cut back on all of the luxuries to save money on the ticket itself but after all of the extra charges you end up paying more than with any major airline. Not only do they charge you for checked bags, you get charged $30 for a carry on bag, $60 if you don't check in online before your flight. You have to pay extra for pretty much any seat on the plane. My wife and I paid $16 per person to sit in the window and middle seat in the second to last row. Nothing is complimentary. They even charge you if you want more than one cup of water which should be illegal. The seats are horribly uncomfortable (think stadium seating at a baseball game). Also, the customer service over the phone is awful. The employees literally read from a script and say the same thing over and over again until you give up. This is officially the worst airline I have ever travelled with and will never choose Frontier again."

I was pleasantly surprised that the flight from San Francisco to Phoenix was only 1.5 hours, when frequent travelers of this route said that it usually takes 2 hours. Pilot was great. Ordered snacks and drinks. Pleasantly surprised that the Chex Mix was a sizable bag and not an air-filled handful of snacks. Free newspapers at the entrance of the flight was GREAT!"
Cons: "Pretty sure our two middle-aged flight attendants were NOT sober. The first clue came when they were doing the safety demo and something seemed off. Later when they were coming around with drinks it was obvious to me that they had been drinking. Hey, don't get me wrong, I ordered a drink on the plane too! But, they were so slow with service, being overly chatty and smart-assy with everyone they talked to. I'm all for having fun, but these women went a little overboard and were slow to serve, and sassy where it was unwarranted. I was traveling with 2 other friends, we were all seated separately, and when we met up after landing, they said the same thing. Two jeers for the staff, I've never seen this before. I will say that I flew the same airline home and the staff there was wonderful, and sober as far as I could tell."

Pros: "My return flight from Houston to SFO was scheduled to depart at 2:50 pm. I showed up at noon to check in, and had to wait an hour for Frontier personnel to show up to man the check-in desk. Two of the three automated kiosks were out of order, as well."

Pros: "Thank you for providing water! Everyone was very nice and I was comfortable. We left on time on a day when many flights were grounded. Go frontier! Also, there was water at the gate in Houston. I was horrified because at Frontier's gate in Kansas City there was no water. Inhumane."

Cons: "I was on the phone for more than one hour I can’t fly cuz I got an accident so I can drive more sooooo I was trying to cancel my fly and never pick up the phone"

Cons: "One of our checked bags didn’t arrive with us. We paid for the checked bag and now have to go replace items that are needed for an event tonight. It is a hassle but spirit says they will reimburse us for the items we purchase to replace our lost belongings."

Cons: "Being charged a baggage fee whether or not you had a bag to check or bring with you. They charged an extra $5 to bring it on board yourself vs them throwing it under the plane. $65.00 is ludicrous to charge for a bag that isn't checked!"

Pros: "The on board service was statisfactory and curious."
Cons: "For me the seats were too small. I am 6ft3in 200 slim pounds. If i could of gotten an isle seat or emberency door and picked my seat ahead of time even paid more for it would of helped. Getting to check in early does not get you a spicific seat. A child can be put in an isle seat whereas an adult can be put at the window seat slighty more cramped."

Cons: "Seats are terribly uncomfortable and cramped. Spirit sucks you in with what appears a reasonable price. After you pay all the additional fees, it's no less expensive than any other airline. Web was page difficult to navigate. It took 4 different phone calls to get passenger names on tickets to match the names on their frequent flyer account. I won’t be a frequent flyer on Spirit, I will avoid them at all cost"

Cons: "First, the gate swited twice. Flight was delayed 30 minutes. Plus, I paid to sit in the 4th row, but the 3rd row was empty. So, the flight attendant let people who didn't pay extra for those seats, move all the up from the back of plane. Seriously? Why did I have to pay then? Should I then be entitled to a refund since other people sat there for free?"

Pros: "I got an extremely cheap one way ticket! It was a very pleasant flight once we got going and the staff was extremely nice. There was a long delay that wasn't very pleasant but out of anyone's hands. I LOVED the updates from Kayak. I found them reassuring and helpful!"
Cons: "I thought with such a long delay there should have been a free small refreshment offered. I heard it could cost up to $100 for a carry on. If that's true that seems outrageous."

Cons: "Are you kidding me, after my buddy and I get to the airport we check our golf clubs and carry on bag. 2 lbs overweight on both golf bags and an additional $100 !! Overall additional total for baggage alone was $380 !!!! I could have flown ANY other airlines way cheaper. NOTHING mentioned when I booked the tickets online unless it was basically hidden. I heard about the baggage problem so I did try calling to discuss, even more horrific and couldn't even understand the person so I gave up, oh yeah, took over a half hour to connect to a live person, worst website ever !!!! NEVER would I fly Spirit again !!"

Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Will not fly spirit again and will remove it from vacation search engines. The price is misleading and not a true comparison to other airlines. By the time I paid to check one bag and have two carry on bags, plus paid to pick seats to sit together we paid an additional 200.00 dollars for the flight. Our return flight left a half hour late and they lost our one checked bag. Took a week to get the bag returned to us. The redesigned seats are small and cramped. None.of the seats recline, and my tray table was just a little larger than my cell phone."

Pros: "Besides that my ticket was over $200 dollars cheaper than any other airline, the planes are clean and the seats are wider than other airlines."

Pros: "Everything was on time."
Cons: "Being nickle dimed for all services."

Cons: "Customer service is horrible. Flight cancelled. If your flight gets cancelled you are out of luck if you need to get somewhere on a timeline."

Cons: "They charged $110 for golf clubs and a small suitcase. My flight was going to be on time but the decided to give that plane to the people heading to Vegas because they had been delayed all morning. Spirit told us we would be delayed four hours, then 30 minutes later they said the flight was completely cancelled. I had to go back to the main terminal to pick up my bags and had to go to the Spirit Airlines ticket counter to rebook and get a refund. The line was so long and slow it would have taken hours to talk to someone from Spirit. I called Customer Service and was on hold for 50 minutes before I could finally get refunded. This made me miss the last Spring Training game in AZ! I've been flying for 35 years and this was the worst flying experience in my life!"

Pros: "Most of the crew was nice, with a couple exceptions. Overall it was a decent experience."
Cons: "Plane was supposed to board at 2:45, but didn't even arrive at the gate until after 3:00, and still had to unload. We were finally on board by 3:30 (departure time) but the pilot blamed it on getting the paperwork late, and said we now had to wait for fuel. During that time, a couple storms moved in, and we ended up sitting on the tarmac for over an hour. It's one thing to be late, but it was a pretty pathetic attempt to divert blame to the crew at the airport."

Pros: "Nice plane, good boarding process, friendly crew, on time."
Cons: "Cramped uncomfortable seats, had a steel bar in my back, very little padding. Exorbitant baggage fees and seat charges - I could have flown the majors for less!"

Pros: "The stewards were very pleasant. It was easy to board."
Cons: "Had to pay for snacks...So I didn't have any. And your carry on prices are outrageous. Actually the bag charges all around were a bit excessive."

Cons: "The seats were uncomfortable, flight was delayed 4 times,no one knew any information when we asked about our flight, flight attendants didn't walk around asking if we wanted anything-we had to ask for it, absolutely terrible. This was our first time flying spirit and will never be flying again and will let everyone know of our terrible Flight"

Cons: "The process was laborsome. I couldn't understand the peope on the phone when I FINALLY got to speak to someone. They were very unhelpful in trying to solve 1 EASY problem. Theiur system is messed up when it comes to accepting correct passwords....then having to change it....then waiting an hour for the temporary...It was a disaster. Cheap isn't worth it."

Pros: "Our plane was late arriving and so we left late. The crew did an excellent job of getting us to our destination onky a little late. We were on a newer Spirit plane, which had more leg room and was quite comfortable. The crew was friendly and efficient."

Cons: "I don't fly Spirit that much but what I saw looked good, on time at both stops and I especially liked getting on board early as opposed to waiting until 15 minutes before the plane takes off. What I didn't care for, but what I now understand is all the extra specific charges they continue to bombard you with are really charges you don't need. Bottom line for me is that I think I spent more money because I purchased other things and the final price that I paid was MORE then my the conventional favored airline! I will fly Spirit in the future."

Pros: "he airline is a scam. They offer a good price for the ticket. And then make you pay for luggage, seats carry on luggage. Even personal items. The worst airline ever."

Pros: "When they grossly overcharged me on 1 checked bag they did refund the difference."

Cons: "Damaged luggage and much difficulty contacting anybody from Spirit Airlines. Finally getting issue resolved, I hope. They make it almost impossible to talk to anybody"

Cons: "Having to figure out on my own to check bags days before so I wouldn't get charged a ridiculous amount when I arrived. Wasn't allowed a carry on for free. Be sure to print your boarding pass a day ahead of time or they will even charge you for that! Fly name brand airlines, it will cost the same on the end if not less."

Cons: "I do not like the small seats that don't recline, lack of leg room. If you can get by with the basics, probably a young college age person and not a senior at 250lbs then this airline is not for me. Since you have to pay more than the base price with more comfort you might as well go with an airline where this is standard. I will think twice before flying Spirit again."

Pros: "25.00. I gave him 30.00 he left to get change came back with the wrong changed and left again. Now they are boarding and I asked someone to go find him. I had to run to my flight. Horrible experience"

Cons: "It would have been nice to know when I bought my ticket that I was going to need to pay extra for everything. I didn't really wind up saving money in the end. The seating is TOO "cozy". I would not fly with this airline again unless it was a very short flight and I could fit all my luggage in a backpack."

Cons: "The flight was delayed both ways 3 hours. On a 3 day get away we spent 2 of them sitting in the airport. Will never fly spirit again."

Pros: "Prompt departure or arrival"
Cons: "Paying for extra luggage weight over 40 pounds. All other airlines set it at 50 pounds so when told I had to pay a ridiculous $25 because bag was at 47 pounds (underweight for other airlines). It spoiled my experience with Spirit. You advertise cheap prices but are sneaky with extra costs. Ridiculous. I do not ever plan to fly Spirit ever again. Disgusted. Let people know in large print that the luggage weight is 40-yet that's ridiculous not to go with 59. Women at checkin were unfriendly & unprofessional. Such a horrid experience."

Pros: "I really loved the concise manner of boarding and seating. The attendants were friendly, informative, and quick witted. I did not experience overbooking or being too cramped."
Cons: "I didn't think this flight would make you pay an arm and a leg for what other airlines just include for free! And to top it off, they only accept cards. How inconvenient. Also, I had to pay 105 dollars to check a bag and bring a carry on. Who doesn't allow you to check bags??"

Cons: "The long wait for the delayed flight."
