Cons: "I had 15 hours layover in Amsterdam so I got me a hotel.one hour after I got to the hotel I got a notification from Kayak app asking me to go get my bag from Schiphol. My bag was supposed to be directly shipped to PDX. I had to leave my hotel back to the airport and spend 2 hours trying to find it only to be told that it was going to PDX. I lost my $170 hotel room, over $70 for taxis and ended up spending the night on the floor at Schipol. I do not think I'll ever use Kayak again. The travel guarantee is a joke too."

Nobody can hear or see anything. Why not use the big LCD displays at the gate??? In the plane they had to restart the computer system as some TVs were not working and it took longer than they said. Toilets were kind of stinky and I could smell them from my seat on row 26. Blankets are way too thin for the blasting AC."

I have allergies and requested a special meal on all legs. No problem on the first three flights. All attendants approached me to confirm my allergy and the special meal. They were very polite. But on this flight, the attendant didn't speak with me about it at all. She tried to give me the regular meal. When I explained I needed an allergy free meal (mind you this was first class), I was told I could not get it and got no apology or other accommodation. Her attitude was take it or leave it. I found this interesting since on two of the other flights an announcement was made about another passenger with an allergy to peanuts so no one could have them on the flights and the attendants were very concerned."

Cons: "Again, Kayak should allow at least 2 hours of transfer time when booking flights through LAX. I had to go from one terminal to another AND go through immigration and security. In order to make sure I had enough time to make the connecting flight, I didn't check in my luggage which lead to me having to minimize liquids and pastes in my luggage (no vanilla extract or tequila). Also while making the transfer I felt rushed and stressed out. I might search for tickets using Kayak but I would not buy tickets directly from Kayak if my route involves a transfer at an airport that I am not familiar with."

Worst part of flight was no ones fault--heavy snow conditions caused 1 1/2 hour back-up for de-icing. Only other complaint I also noticed on my last Delta flight--the volume on the captain's announcements needs to be turned up. Hard to hear much of what he said. His explanation of de-icing, and how it might cause an odor or even haziness in the cabin was very helpful so that I didn't worry when the odor happened. I do like Delta very much."

Then I did board, the ticket was not clear what my boarding group was so I missed out on boarding early. When i get to my seat I have two people completely unwilling to move to let me into my window seat, but are all too eager to tell me to be sure not to hit them. This flight was after a long layover and after a long flight from japan and was a horrible end to an otherwise beautiful trip."

I lucked out and got a seat that was close to the front of the plane, even though it was in the middle. I was expecting to have no free beverages including water and thought there might not be food service at all, but there was. I got a good price for round-trip, non-stop flight."
Cons: "The check-in process was anxiety producing. I'm used to getting an email reminding me to check-in. When I checked in online I went all the through the process including picking a seat and paying for one bag. At the end it told me there was an error and I was not checked in and would have to check in at the airport. When I called the airline the person was informed and helpful. However, I learned that i should arrive 2 hours before my departure time and that the check-in desk would close 45 min before the flight and I would then not be allowed to board if I had not checked in (even if I was standing in line waiting). It was alarming that I learned this accidentally. Finally the flight took off late and there were many empty seats, but the crew did not inform us of that."

I also had to connect flights at the airport and I asked the airline beforehand if I had enough time, as I flew into a different terminal. They said that I did, but I almost missed my flight, even though I had two hours. The signage was poor as MSP, which isn't Sun Country's fault, however they made the transfer sound easier than it was."

But again we were told that other passengers booked them. Checking in at the airport there were 2 people working the counter and 1 was struggling to figure out the check in process. Back at the GATE we were getting nervous as there was no plane and no one at the counter. Well the same 2 people came to work the gate and we all had to wait for the plane. The passengers got off and they immediately started the loading process. Clearly there was not enough time for anyone to clean this plane. And we left late with no explanation."

Pros: "Beware this flight from Philly to Portland OR Ever since the merger American has cut corners and apparently used a smaller plane to make trip As such EVERY SINGLE TIME you book a "non stop" from Philly to Portland the plane has to a make an unannocued diversion stop in Minneapolis MN to refuel. I paid money for NON STOP. I have flown cross country dozens of times and never had to make unannounced stop for fuel. A friend of ours took exact same flight a week earlier and had same diversion issue so it's not a one time thing. I am calling for some sort of compensation for the 2 hours we were delayed in actually arriving in Portalnd due to this diversion they announced right before take off. The service on plane was subpar. The flight attendant loudly complained that we moved his lunch when we loaded our bags in overhead bins. Ohhh I'm sorry I thought I was the customer here paying for a service. Sorry to move your lunch over 6 inches to fit my carry on. Planes are old and decrepit. Apparently American can't afford check in equipment as the check in team had to manually announce names and seat numbers to each other to check all 150 passengers in. This is on top of the fact that my seats were switched when they went to a smaller plane. I booked 26F in the bigger plane which was 3/4 way back. When they switched to the smaller plane 26F was now the last row meaning I couldnt recline my seat. Awesome. Overall an absolutely horrible experience. I won't ever fly American again."

My gate was 60A and i was at gate 60 and it wasn't till I heard an attentant say over the intercom, "if you have an alpha character after your gate you need to take a shuttle". I got there right before they closed the door to the plane. Not sure if that's a well known thing but it was new to me."

It was annoying and flashy with bright advertisements or something popping up on a night time flight just sooooooo annoying, turning it off was not intuitive and had to ask the flight attendants how to turn it off during their very busy work of handing out packages with five miniature pretzels and drinks to the passengers, was happy to get a whole cab of juice to myself though."

I have been on flights when there has been clarity given a change in plans but this was bad. We sat at the gate for an hour and a half, again no real communication, the fligh attendant t hope was joking when he said there was a half a bottle left for the whole plane...much later we were served water. Announcements were made but no clarity. We were told to collect baggage at number 2. Get a voucher for a hotel. After deplann9ng about 25 of us stood in line at the customer service desk where there were two staff working slowly. Then after an hour they announced we were in the wrong place, couldn't that have been explained earlier? Once we made our way out of the terminal to the ticket count the line was all the way down the hall. still with little info we waited. We landed at the alternate airport at 945, at 130am I had my vouchers, the food not useful until the following day, the hotels were full, no one picked up the phone for the shuttle bus to the hotels. I finally elected to sleep at the airport on a bench. We had actually all been reassigned a flight on our same plane. So I am not sure why we had to wait in line all that time. Our bags were not removed from the plane an irritated baggage claim attendant told me. It was a mess. The flight the next morning was fine, short, without problems for me. united needs to work on its communications. It would have been helpful to have someone out side running the line giving out info. And at customer service they should have been paying attention to their line. Would have been helpful."

If I don't get properly compensated from United for that horrible experience I will never fly them again and tell everyone I know to never fly United."

I know it's considered insensitive to complain about the morbidly obese, but c'mon!!! Her inability to control her weight has affected me in a material way by subjecting me and the kid in the middle to 3 1/2 hours of misery. I guess the airline CAN'T call this issue to her attention for fear of discrimination charges, but they might make some kind of compensation (free flight, or at least a food coupon, or a pass to the United Club) to assuage the injured seatmates. Also, the airline was generous with drinks, but served no snack. Nothing? Really? I really don't like United, but, unfortunately, it's the main airline flying my route. I fly them only when there is no other choice."

I am 6'4" and those Airbuses have no comfort side to side or front to back, and I always have to see my chiropractor afterwards. I have flown United Airlines before and remembered that most of your aircraft were Boeing, so I chose this trip with you. Very comfortable flight and I look forward to my return trip. The seats on the plane did not recline and were very uncomfortable. I am very dissatisfied, and will avoid flying with Frontier Airlines in the future."
Cons: "Arrived well before the flight to check bag which I paid $35 (highest rate for check in bag yet-compared to other airlines). Took over an hour to check bag as there was one person checking bags at DIA. The other employee was assigned to the customers who had paid a premium fee. Many of the customers left the long lines and went to curb side to check their bags. When I arrived at gate, flight was delayed. I got on the plane and into my seat. Unfortunately, I was not paying attention and sat in 8F, not 8E. There was a woman and her daughter who came on late and they gave 8E to the daughter. Moments later a woman, came and asked me to show my boarding pass. I took out my phone but forgot I had switched it to airplane mode as we were due to leave. In a full flight, the woman (Robin), started telling me that I was on the wrong flight and that I was on the later flight. I couldn't bring up my seat assignment because I was frazzled and embarrassed as she insisted I get up and leave with her. I thought we were going out to check my assignment, but when I got out to the gate, I realized that the plane was leaving. Robin and the crew realized they had made a mistake and told me the only thing they could do was get me on the 10 p.m. flight out of Denver. Never have I been treated so poorly. All someone had to do was ask my name which did not happen until I was totally humiliated as I struggled to get off the plane and was out at the gate. I was reimbursed my flight and was given a check and a $15 voucher for dinner which didn't cover my dinner. I took the later flight and arrived home at 0100 a.m. My husband had to come home from the coast (2 hour drive) to take care of our dogs who were waiting for me to come home to feed them and get them out of the heat."

I have mild claustrophobia and as soon as I sat in my seat I began to have a panic attack (first time in my life) the plane wasn't even off the ground and I literally could not move. The seat in front of me was jammed against my knees, my shoulders were wedged against the window and the back of the seat was straight up with no wiggle room whatsoever! I seriously considered clawing my way off the plane before it left the ground because I was in such a panic. On the way home I had to upgrade my seat to the $60 front row seat (thank God they had one left) which gave a slight bit more leg room and I made it home, never to fly on that sardine can again! Come on! I get they want to cram as many people as they can on a plane, but we are not pygmies here! Plus, when I checked my bag in Denver, my sister put her bag on first and it was under weight (42.5 lbs.) and we joked to the lady "Marta" that her bag had lost weight because we were both at 50 on the way there - and she yanked my sister's bag off the scale and threw it on the conveyor BEFORE she would weigh mine, which weighed in at 52 pounds. We asked her to allow us to put a few of my things in my sister's bag and she said NO her bag was at 49 pounds already - which was a lie, we all saw the scale when it read 42.5 lbs.! We tried to reason with her and she just ignored us and yelled "NEXT" and would not allow us to get our boarding passes until I pulled 2 pounds of clothing out of my bag and crammed it into mine and my sister's purse/personal bag. She was a flat-out power hungry witch, for no reason, my sister's bag was easy to open and had plenty of room. I'm so done with them!"

Pros: "Flight was for my son. Tried to checkin and was not allowed to, since it just changed to the 45 min mark before departure. Ticket was auto cancelled. Went to southwest and booked a ticket on their direct flight which was to leave 10 min later than the Frontier flight. It actually left 8 min early, while the Frontier flight was still boarding."
Cons: "No obvious warning that Frontier requires checkin 45 min before departure or they auto cancel the ticket. Received an email from kayak 3 hours before departure, no warning there. Did not notice any warning when buying the ticket. Frontier is at the bottom of my list, for choice of carriers."

Pros: "The crew treats you better than crews on more expensive airlines, and they have a great sense of humor. You can tell that positivity and how they interact with passengers is a priority in the hiring and training process. A lot of people have complained about having to pay extra for carry-ons and other luggage, but Frontier is REALLY clear about their policy for baggage when you book, so these people shouldn't have been shocked. It is a great deal for people who only travel with one small bag, and I'm glad that there is an airline that offers such cheap flights for light travelers. If you need to take a lot of luggage, you can add the cost as you are booking and then decide if it's the best deal before you finalize payment. Overall, it was a very good experience. You aren't going to get a ton of extras for free on this airline, but if getting to point B from point A with a nice flight crew is all that matters to you, Frontier is a great deal."

Cons: "Canceled flight for weather. Stayed on line for 30 minutes to talk to someone who couldn't rebook me for a week and gave me a number for the airport desk so I wouldn't have to drive there but that number circled back to the one I just called, so I drove to the airport where no one was at the desk for an hour and again couldn't rebook OR give me a refund. Back home then for more calls. Entire trip was cancelled and ruined. Never have been treated like this by reputable airline where I could have been rerouted or offered a next day flight or switch to another airline."

Cons: "almost the entire flight had various levels of turbulence- no real announcements about it to ease passengers. Floors where a little dirty and of course the fact that the seats are tiny and you are in a 90 degree up-right position doesn't help. I think I saved $50 - but none of it was worth it - I'll be back to Delta from now on."
