Scores according to KAYAK customer reviews
Pros: "The crew was friendly."
Cons: "I wish there was a way to better ensure aisle seats for the people who can't afford to pay for an upgrade. Maybe it's just not a thing."
Cons: "No video working"
Cons: "Most flights were delayed (3/4 legs) causing bags to not make connections. Had to wait 2 days for my bags in Paris requiring me to purchase new clothes, shoes, toiletries and then spent 4 hours waiting for them at our VRBO- finally delivered it at 4 hours 15 minutes. Also not given adjacent seats on"
Pros: "Very nice crew"
Cons: "It was freezing on the plane. The entertainment was not working."
Cons: "British Airways flight was carried by American Airlines. Planes were late, boarded one plane from the tarmac with no explanation, gate was changed 5 times without announcements. Will never fly American Airlines again!"
Cons: "Connecting from Paris CDG through Chicago O Hare incoming flight to Paris was delayed by 1 hour resulting with our flight delayed. Connection at O’Hare was terrible had to take the bus from one terminal to the other which added to our delay and frustration"
Pros: "The food was pretty good and they served lots of wine."
Cons: "No in-flight entertainment on a 9 hour international flight (only live news), so we had to use whatever entertainment we brought ourselves. Also, there was no place to charge our phones. I guess next time I should prepare better for something like this."
Pros: "People on the planes were nice"
Cons: "The guy at the gate in france made me check my bag, he said it was due to the size but people were walking by with bigger bags and he didn't seem to care about them at all. Not sure why he singled me out. Also took my passport, which he wasn't doing for other passengers and told me to board the plane. I had to ask multiple times for him to return my passport. Not sure if it was his first day or something but it was a very frustrating experience."
Pros: "Even if we departed with 1h and 30 min delay, the pilot made it up and we arrived with only 15 min delay on the initial arrival time. Great. I could get my initial connecting flight to."
Cons: "Just the stress of getting one message after the other mentioning that the flight was delayed over 1 and then 1 and a 1/2h."
Pros: "Before I knew it we were landing. Good flight"
Cons: "The meal had no dessert. The coffee had run out and they promised to return and never did. I had to remind the hostess about an hour later."
Pros: "Easy check in, helpful staff. Great seats and lovely in-flight amenities. Most of the food was really good and quite a bit was offered during the flight. Arrived early and staff was really helpful in getting through customs."
Cons: "Weight limit on baggage was very strict. Boarding took a long time and seemed disorganized."
Pros: "We boarded early because of the security check, but that worked out fine. The food was good and the flight attendants were attentive."
Cons: "Spending 10 hours on a flight, but you can't do anything about that."
Pros: "Front area had nice amount of leg room. Back was so tight i couldnt even reach my bag under the seat in front of me."
Cons: "$20 for wifi is a rip off!! Delta includes free wifi on international flights. Some prople need to work and paying for internet on an 8.5 hour trip was ridiculous. Food options were not that great either. Pasta was supposed to be vegetable pasta but no veggies to be found. Not healthy options."
Cons: "A huge queue due to AA policy to un respect BA policy of free 23 kg checked luggage of Int’l flights. A scandal, a shame. Won’t travel anymore with BA & AA."
Cons: "Received an email 6 min after booking from British Airways saying the reservation was cancelled. They are trying to charge me $550 for this cancellation claiming they are not the ones who cancelled the reservation, and that I did. From what I understand the flight wasn't available in the first place and should not have been posted to purchase. British Airways will not take responsibility however."
Pros: "Amenities were about on par with other international airlines. The entertainment console was wonderful. The trip was more quickly than expected."
Cons: "Boarding was a mess. We were there 2.5 hours before our flight and had to rush to make it on time due to the awful lines for the checking our bags and general disorganization of American Airlines. The staff on the plane missed our row when offering drinks near the end of the flight and were not careful about bumping elbows and shoulders as they frequented the aisle. Also couldn't sit by my family which was a huge bummer."
Pros: "The snacks and meals were decent, as far as plane food goes (although the “vegetables” with the chicken were pretty awful). Also the entertainment selection had a wide assortment of movies, but disappointing tv show selection."
Cons: "The boarding process was a mess. Just a huddle of people, with no clear direction and no one enforcing lines or boarding groups. Also my husband and I weren’t seated together and when I tried to change it online, the entire flight showed as booked. However once on board there were clearly a number of empty seats."
Pros: "The only thing good was the airplane – a 787."
Cons: "Missed the flight because of problem with the CDG trains. Crew on the ground were absolutely useless. I ended up getting another flight the second day using the customer service number. The cecking in process was terrible. The agent was terrible.on the flight, the crew kept banging almost everybody with the food cart. One poor lady behind me got water spelled on her, hit by cart few times, and food spelled."
Pros: "Crew was lovely. Attentive but not annoying."
Cons: "Not until the cabin doors closed did I realize the plane didn't have an individual entertainment system."
Pros: "Good flight overall"
Cons: "The experience at DFW was terrible- long lines to get out of baggage claim because of too few agents to process 1000 people waiting. Also long lines for TSA screening to get to gate."
Pros: "Flight attendants were wonderful and very accommodating. They were pleasant, nice to talk to, and attentive to all passengers. Special assist personal were polite, pleasant and extremely helpful."
Cons: "I did not understand if I booked with British Airways why my return flight was through American Airlines. I requested special accommodations with extra leg room as a result of recent knee surgery. My seat location was in row 34, the back of the cabin. Not as pleasant. Too far to walk leg room uncomfortable at times during the 8 hour flight."
Pros: "I usually fly Air France but AA was terrific. Tasty food, pleasant crew, even the toilets were nicely maintained during the 9 hours flight. The only thing that AF does better is provide a full array of printed matter before boarding."
Pros: "We enjoyed the room on the seats and the power outlets were very comfortable. Air Crew was extremely attentive!"
Cons: "Too much space in between meals provided and small portions."
Pros: "Operated by American Airlines, the flight was not terribly full so we could move to a row that was empty so you can sleep easier. smooth flight, arrived early."
Pros: "I was treated superbly from start to finish. It started with checking in and receiving great help all the way through to off liading"
Cons: "I was a little surprised at the size of the snack (small) at the end."
Cons: "No entertainment. Seat was dirty. Small plane."
Pros: "They offered pretty decent food and snack options that were included in the flight- the high quality chocolate ice cream was an especially nice touch as well as the included wine. My seat appeared to have more space than the flight previous to it, so that added a lot more comfort without the extra expense of having to pay for the "more space" seating- I often feel like airlines nickel and dime you to death these days. Perhaps it was just the luck of the draw, but the seats had much more legroom than my first flight to Paris as opposed to the return to NY. The flight crew were all courteous and pleasant. Leather seating with readily available pillows and blankets for all was a nice touch as well."
Cons: "Having to use communal screens for watching movies and shows, having no choice as to what was displayed, having trouble seeing everything displayed (too far and small to see nuance in dark scenes and print on screen), having only one bathroom mid plane."
Pros: "Comfortable flight. Great communication from pilots, and the service was great."
Cons: "Very old fashioned plane, with one tv to watch a movie. I don't think I've flown on anything like that since the 90's."
Pros: "movies the whole way. American helped me make up for the cancelled flight over to Europe by letting me fly back from London."
Pros: "the flight was on time and everything was fine."
Cons: "the boarding process is more chaotic than necessary. groups 5-9 board at the same location and people in higher groups stand near the front so you can't tell if you should wait behind them or step around. there was only a single power plug (in economy plus) for 2 seats and it was a cigarette lighter style."
Pros: "This was a sold out flight, however, the flight crew remained professional, friendly and efficient, and we departed and arrived on schedule. The seating was the same as every other airline - not roomy enough. On the bright side, I've had more than a few meals on international flights with six or more other airlines and this was the best meal service so far. Dinner was very tasty!"
Pros: "Staff was friendly, helpful, flight was on time, seats were comfortable, worked with me to sit next to my wife. The meal and one of the snacks was really good."
Cons: "Bag drop process at CDG was long and confusing, but the staff were doing all they could to help us get through it. Bravo to them. The food could have been a little healthier (a little too much of it was high in sugar)."
Pros: "The Admirals Club in Paris is lovely."
Cons: "My seat did not work properly- there was a short in the mechanism, I believe- that required repeated attempts to get it to recline completely, which was ultimately unsuccessful. I was clearly having difficulty with the seat but didn't receive any assistance while FA chatted up a celebrity in the seat in front of me. Flight attendants seemed to provide very perfunctory service, not commensurate with first class. Very disappointing experience compared to others in the past. I don't need to spend half a zillion FF miles when I could just buy a coach seat."
Pros: "We liked the effiency and politeness of the staff. We enjoyed the movies, the food was better than normal."
Cons: "We were very unhappy at having to pay extra for our seats after we had booked the airfare. Especially on the way to Paris when there were so many extra available seats! I counted 50 available seats!"
Cons: "No wifi. No personal video. Old plane. Felt like 2005 domestic flight instead of 2017 international. I paid $135 each for 2 exit row seats, and everyone around me on the flight told me they had not paid anything and just received the seat today I won't fly AA again I don't think."
Pros: "At least they kept throwing food at us on the plane."
Cons: "Arrived 3 hours early to CDG, and a long line to check a bag. It took so long, eventually they allowed people to cut in line as their flight departure times neared. 2+ hours later, I finally got to a kiosk to print my boarding pass and baggage tag, but now another line to drop off my bag on the conveyor belt. With less than 30 minutes to departure, and still haven't gone through security, I gave up and made my checked bag a carry-on as well. And then tight seats on the plane, with no individual screens (the movie played on a tiny screen 2 rows up in the aisle.)"
Cons: "This had to have been among the worst flights I have ever experienced in 50+ years of flying to 86 countries. First, an e-mail before I left my Paris apt that it would be 1 hr late departing. THEN the announcement ON BOARD that the flight would make a REFUELING stop in Bangor Maine (the eqpt was a 20 yr old 757 meant for a medium-range domestic route instead of Paris-NY). So it was FOUR HOURS LATE arriving, including an extra hour on the ground in Bangor because they'd lost their landing slot (tho they lied about "bad weather" at JFK) ... a succession of lies and incompetence. Headphone jack didn't even work at the seat ... the movie was a US film dubbed into French anyway! Gawd what incompetence. A letter Fedexed to Doug Parker, AA's CEO, was not even acknowledged.... and I do 35,000 air miles a year on AA. THE WORST."
Pros: "No major issues with the flight itself, see below for MAJOR issues with check-in and checking bags."
Cons: "The organization with American Airlines at Charles de Gaulle was absolutely pathetic. I understand it's a busy airport, but NONE of the other airlines had lines like American did. Then by the time you get up to an American airline employee, incompetence was written all over their faces. The straw that broke the camel's back was that they insisted on separating my partner and me while doing security questions, meanwhile other parties who were together were not separated (LGBT discrimination). This pushed us back 10 minutes--we were separated and he was having to wait for me after the questioning to get my bag checked, too. I'll add that we arrived to the airport with over 2 hours to spare before our flight which should have been more than enough time. We probably would have missed the flight if not for a few decent Charles de Gaulle employees who bumped us though lines at customs when they realized the time crunch, no thanks to anyone with American Airlines. I heard so many saying they will not use American Airlines again, and how saving a few dollars was not worth the headache. Flying is already stressful enough, don't make it that much worse."
Cons: "The staff was rude not helpful and mean worst crew I've ever seen and I fly alot"
Cons: "Seat would not recline. Normally wouldn't be an issue, but it would have been nice to be more comfortable on a 9 hour flight."
Pros: "The service from flight attendants very goood. Even the chicken dinner was as good as many restaurants serve with tastey sauce and cooked just right with nice tossed salad and even apple pie desert. We got served free beverage 3 times on 9 hour flight from Paris to Dallas. The entertainment options were amazing: So many new movies or video games or e-reader were added plus with individual screen in front of each seat! They will be my first choice. New seats also had extra padding and were more comfortable! Wow1"
Cons: "A little more leg room would be nice."
Cons: "When I booked the flight, I hadn't realized that British Airlways had contracted the flight out to be operated by American Airlines. The flight was delayed in Paris and I ended up missing my connecting flight through JFK to DC. Though we were told on the plane that we would be given assistance upon landing and helped in an expedited manner through customs, instead I was briefly informed I had missed my connecting flight, handed an envelope, and told I needed to now travel to Laguardia Airport. No other information or assistance was provided. I was not given a reason why I needed to travel an hour in NYC traffic to switch airports nor was I given any help through customs. The shuttle I was told to take was unable to take me to the correct terminal, so I needed to get on a secondary shuttle. Again, after a 7 hour international flight, little assistance or aid was provided. I was barely able to make it through security in time to catch the new flight. Additionally, the actual flight from Paris to JFK lacked basic in-flight entertainment that almost any international flight would have. I will not be traveling on American Airlines again, and I am hopeful that Kayak and BA will be more clear in the future."
Pros: "I liked that the boarding was efficient."
Cons: "I didn't like that the departure time was delayed because it caused be to miss my connecting flight."
Cons: "it was not clear that finnair was being operated by american airlines. when I arrived to the airport in Paris, they couldn't locate my flight on finairr or american. my flight was missed and the staff on both airlines (finnair and partner american airline) were soo unhelpful. I have never missed a flight, I travel for work, in the air, more than on the ground and this was the WORST experience I have ever had. I was super disappointed that even after all the mistakes, no one would help me find a new flight and I had to pay for another one. Even after calling finnair several times and pleading for some answers or help."
Pros: "I suppose the food / wine was okay."
Cons: "The plane was one of the oldest I have been on in years. The center aisle overhead bins were not even big enough for luggage and there was one TV every 5 or so rows. We were at the mercy of the crappy movies American Airlines chose for us. Most flights these days have individual entertainment and at a minimum room for luggage. The plane was old, dirty and not up to date. Never flying American again. Extremely disappointed with the service on the flight, as well. A little more than halfway through the flight, the woman in the row next to me began reading the airline magazine. Her window shade was up and the sunlight caused a horrible glare on the magazine pages that beamed like a laser over everyone near by. My friend seated next to me and I both have extreme sensitivity to light that causes migraines. I asked the woman to close her shade which at first she did about an inch or two. This didn't do anything to help the glare so I asked again and she refused to do anything more. I explained it was giving us migraines and she didn't seem to care. I asked the flight attendant to help navigate the situation, which was just as useless. She said she could ask but not force her to close her window shade. While I understand that AA can't control that some people can be selfish, I find it incredibly hard to believe that the crew can't intervene when a passengers actions are making other people physically ill. Our only other option was to be relegated to the last row, next to the crews stinking pile of garbage that had been accumulating for the first five hours of the trip. Almost every crew member we interacted with was completely apathetic to the situation. We spent the rest of flight nauseous and with splitting headaches. But I sure hope my row mate and fellow human being in 32A enjoyed the article about the dinosaur flea market in Bolivia This entire situation could have been mediated by the flight attendants who chose to disengage. Furthermore, when we were deceding to land, overhead bins were still open, and people were starting to stand up to gather their belongings in the overhead bins. Again, the apathetic flight attendants were no where to be found. Overall, disappointing experience. Glad to never have to fly them again."
Pros: "Good foot room."
Cons: "The Crew were incredibly rude, and the pilot was unapologetic for being late coming back. They offered little to no comfort. They replied rudely to people when they asked them to repeat themselves because they couldn't hear. They were not very helpful and seemed annoyed and irritable. The plane was uncomfortable and the screens in front of me were useless because they were so low quality. The air craft has an option for fax but has no USB charger or port for a 10 hour flight. The aircraft I was on was not fit for that long of a distance."
Pros: "the airlines did try to accommodate by giving us optional flight when our connecting flight got cancelled"
Cons: "No meal options for vegetarians for breakfast. They just gave everyone a turkey sandwich. Rude, frustated and sarcastic staff"
Cons: "The bag hanging down from the bottom of the seat in front of me."
Pros: "The crew were excellent and very professional. It was not a full flight and boarding was quick and easy. We landed almost an hour early. When we made the reservation we were told it was an 8 hour and 50 minute flight but we got there in 7 hours and 45 minutes, more than 1 hour early. It would be good to know the real timing so that meetings could be planned in a timely way."
Cons: "This is a code share with American Airlines and an American Airlines plane and crew and it is an out of date plane. There were no individual screens only 1 screen hanging down every five or six seats. The seats are very, very narrow. The cleanliness of the tray tables were gooey and full of crusted dirt as were the seat areas in front of the tray tables. I was told that they fly an even older plane from Europe to NY, which is an old one aisle plane. Not sure why AA continues to use such out of date planes but if they use planes from the 1980's it seems to me that they should charge 1980 prices!"
Pros: "The in flight movie options were great, and the food and beverages were good."
Pros: "The crew was really nice and attentive"
Cons: "The food could have been better and the seats were SO bad, especially for a 9 hour flight."
Pros: "Crew was very nice and the flight was fast and smooth."
Cons: "The plane seemed exceptionally old. There were zero audio/visual amenities and the bathroom door had to be held shut by the flight attendant because it was broken."
Pros: "Getting home."
Cons: "It was an older airplane. For a long flight from Montreal to San Francisco, a plane with more room would be more humane. People were lined up for the bathrooms most of the trip since could not use the small first class bathroom. If one wanted a meal, it was one you had to pay for. Broken monitor"
Pros: "Food was excellent, seating was comfortable and entertainment choices were good."
Cons: "Boarding could have been more organized. It seemed to have been a little chaotic."
Cons: "Boarding at CDG in Paris was chaotic. Called group 1 and 2 to line up but boarding didn’t start for approx 45 minutes."
Pros: "I eventually got where I was going"
Cons: "Everything? Every single flight was canceled or delayed with really weak excuses. Really shameful customer service too."
Pros: "The crew really seemed to care about our comfort. They were very attentive and gave us extras if asked."
Cons: "The check in at the airport and going through Customs in the USA but the overall flight was good."
Cons: "It was great"
Pros: "Entertainment selection was nice. Amount of meals was also great."
Cons: "Meal service could have been closer together. We went 8 hours between meals."
Cons: "Space in seating very limited, and some seats in business class empty and also some seats with more room."
Pros: "except for a young steward who smiled kindly"
Cons: "the other crew that served us had no smiles or eye contact. an incident even happened with a passenger that could have been avoided if the crew was friendlier"
Pros: "I had THE WORST experience with ONE flight attendant leaving Paris CDG, flying to Chicago O’Hare. Flight #9334. On 7/26 @ 11:22am. I am hypoglycemic and the flight attendant skipped my line for food I acknowledged her three times and she ignored me so on the fourth time I raised my voice saying “excuse me ma’am” that seem to have irritated her or rubbed her the wrong way because her response was extremely unprofessional yelling at me and accused me of startling her. She compared my voice to the startle of 911 and caused a scene in front of the majority of the passengers. All I wanted was the food that was available for each passenger because she skipped My row. After talking to another flight attendant who claim to be a manager name Celeste who was wearing a visible name tag along with every other flight attendant except for her, I asked her for the name so I could write up a review she refused to give me her name saying it was against their policy to give up first names even though it’s clearly on everybody’s shirt except hers she removed it or covered it up w/ her apron even though Robert Robert was wearing an apron with his name tag outside of his apron like he should the attendant that gave me problems took off her name tag and covered it with an apron that was a violation of dress code. A simple apology is all I asked for but she refused to apologize and the managers only response was “I can’t make her apologize” Never in my life have I been treated with such disrespect on a flight as I am a frequent flyer to Paris on United everybody else and all other flights was extremely helpful and courteous. This woman started ranting and raving about 911 and getting people nervous for no reason. I will be writing a formal letter to the corporate office. I just barely got home and wanted to write this review because it ruined my experience in 9 1/2 hour flight experience. It was also very embarrassing for me and my family, as other customers were bothered by this and had to listen to this. I was trying to speak over the air conditioner and after the third time of her not acknowledging me that is one I raise my voice politely by saying “excuse me ma’am”. I am a frequent united flier. Furthermore I have scoliosis and I’m handicapped our flight got delayed by 3 furthermore I have scoliosis and I’m handicapped our flight got delayed by 2 1/2 hrs. By this time my back was throbbing and when I talked to the gentleman upfront he told me to write a letter for some type of compensation regarding everything I have been through. Here are pictures of the lady who is out of dress code the flight attendant and also out of line dealing with plus dealing with customers she’s obviously unhappy with her job and should not be in the customer service industry as I know for being a businesswoman myself owning my own salon I deal with customers all day and I know my number one job is to make sure my customers are happy I am not ."

Cons: "My Wife and I got booted from Lufthansa to a United flight where our seats were across the plane from each other. In order to sit together, we had to spend another $300. United charged us an extra $100 for a check on bag that Swiss and Lufthansa did not charge us for."
Cons: "Crew was great. Long wait for operations on the ground to pull plane to gate was only negative."
Pros: "The entertainment interface and selection was fantastic!"
Cons: "Minor, but an arm rest would not stay up. Also, let's face it, the food food is never excellent, rarely good, but understandably hard to make so."
Pros: "Crew was helpful."
Cons: "We were sitting right next to the crew resting area and it was very restricting to us. I had two little kids that I had to keep quiet for about 6 hours out of 8. Even when my kids were quiet, we were reminded twice to keep quiet. It was very restricting and I was forced to walk back and forth with my two year old to keep her quiet so the crew can rest. Why is the crew resting when they are supposed to be working on that flight? The meal quality sucked, I did not finish it, let alone my kids. My kids were prettu much hungry for 8 hrs. Not a very family friendly flight."
Pros: "Friendly staff, - smiled and nice from beginning to end. The flight was fast and smooth. The seats were also decent and the width of the aisles had just enough room to wheel my bag and also not get hit when the carts came through. They are still too narrow, but better than some planes. I appreciated the good coffee, too (illy)."
Cons: "The food was inedible! This was the worst food I have ever had on a flight, seriously. The omeletes had the consistency of rubber, and my special meal (Asian vegetarian) was some fried thing that I couldn't eat at all and my companion - who will usually eat anything, would not touch it. I asked the attendant for an omelet instead (before I knew they were just as bad) and explained to her that the I can't eat fried food. She said she was surprised since Asian vegetarian is usually Indian - or at least discernibly Asian and so, would have been OK for a gluten-free vegetarian diet such as mine."
Cons: "Haven’t taken it yet. It’s 2:00 a.m. and I’m waiting for the next available flight at 8 a.m."
Pros: "Flight was on time both leaving and arriving"
Cons: "The individual, Inited WiFi entertainment accessed via the Inited app did not work. I have been on several long distance Inited flights, and it never has. Error messages include “service is not available st this time” and “unable to connect to server - wait a few minutes and refresh browser.” Since in seat video is very limited, this can make for a long flight."
Pros: "The onscreen entertainment kept me occupied most of he trip. There were also multiple bathrooms which helped. The neck rest installed on the seat was also nice."
Pros: "The return flight served a small whole grain tasty sandwich for breakfast on the return flight. That was good."
Cons: "I was delighted to spend the extra money to have the Lufthansa experience, riding on an airline considered in the top ten airlines out of 100, as opposed to United's ranking of 68, down from 60 the year before. I was extremely surprised to find that I, indeed, was scheduled for United. The double trip code was VERY inconvenient, found myself constantly having to call the other airline to book the seat, find the gate, find out about luggage limitations, etc. Not intuitive in any manner. Please don't confuse customers with your 7 point tiny type saying we're just kidding, you'll really be on an airline of our choice when the day comes!!! but you'll pay the bigger bucks!!! UGH."
Pros: "The leg room on plane was great."
Cons: "Boarding was very unorganized. They did not have enough room to line up people for organized groups. People were cutting in line, walking up in front, where as people had been in line for half an hour. they need more clarity and staff to help with this."
Pros: "On time. Tasty eats. Good crew"
Cons: "Sound in the movies is sub-par"
Pros: "The huge windows and overhead bins on the 787 are fantastic. United has a decent seatback entertainment system, however it could stand to use maybe a few more movies. In economy the food was palatable, I went with the cheese manicotti for "lunch" and was awoken to a ham and cheese on a pretzel bun for "breakfast." The Illy coffee is much better than the old garbage."
Cons: "The boarding area at CDG while nice was very hot. The huge windows made the place a hot house. I was relieved to get on the plane where it was much cooler."
Cons: "Food and service"
Cons: "Too damn small of plane, cramped in and treated like cattle, not valued customers"
Pros: "Great crew as always"
Cons: "Wifi was unreliable."
Pros: "The United ground crew who assisted me on boarding the flight."
Cons: "The delay in take-off. And most of all, the CDG as a point of connection - not a fault of the airline."
Cons: "A mechanical issue delayed our return by over an hour. I guess they didn't know the extent or the time needed to repair, so we boarded at the regular time and sat in the plane. Good cabin crews both ways. Food meh. The 787 over was much better than the aging 767 coming back. I like the new app based entertainment system."
Pros: "On time, safe, good landing, friendly crew."
Cons: "Stingy on drinks. No food. No on board entertainment."
Cons: "Long delay in San Francisco"
Pros: "Staff was nice and plane wasn't full so had space for better sleeping since there was nothing better to do on the plane."
Cons: "I was very disappointed. Why spend so much money on updating first class and business when the rest of the seats are completely out of date. I couldn't even charge my phone to get ahold of my ride when we landed. And the tiny screens barely worked, couldn't even watch a movie because it just froze up the whole time."
Pros: "I like that the plane was very clean and modern. The staff very nice and speaks both english and french."
Pros: "No wi fi for this flight, I get it that it's a small plane on a short journey but I really miss it when it is not there. My food assessment is just based on the free snacks as I didn't buy any food but the classic peanuts would be better than the snack mix provided. The crew I feel for as they, I am sure, felt the stress of the flight being late to get in (and thus causing the other flights of that particular plane to be behind). The free sandwiches offered by SFO as an apology were a good thought but no substitute for timely delivery. Not a nock on SFO just an unfortunate circumstance."
Pros: "On time, smooth ride and fantastic landing in a small plane."
Cons: "There is apparently nothing between the floor and the outside of the plane because it was very cold upon entering the plane and it got considerably colder on the route. The cabin temperature was fine but the floor was freezing on both outbound from Bend and inbound."
Cons: "I couldn't put subtitles in French on English movies. 8 could only watch them dubbed. I didn't understand this as it seems standard for all other flights I've taken."
Pros: "Attendant kept re-filling our wine glasses! Very friendly!"
Cons: "A little more leg room would be nice."
Pros: "My ticket was with Lufthansa but the airline was in fact United Airlines. My original flight was from Paris to Newark. The United flight was cancelled with no explanation. So there was nothing to like."
Cons: "The United flight was cancelled with no explanation. My orignal ticket was for a direct 8 hour flight. When my flight was rescheduled it was with a connection in Washington, D.C. with a 4 hour lay-over. I arrived home almost 5 hours later than scheduled. Awful experience!"
Cons: "my light does not focus on my area, but on neighbor's area."
Pros: "The purchasing experience was great."
Cons: "Had to pay for the 2nd bag for an international flight. Didn't expect it."
Pros: "Nothing much"
Cons: "Service needs to be radically improved."
Pros: "I got a seat that had extended leg room so that was good."
Cons: "The plane was relatively old and therefore the entertainment system was very poor. The screen quality was bad and could hardly see the movies. The touch screen did not work well and the screen kept falling down (I had one that came out of the arm of the seat). I noticed those around me had the same issues with their entertainment systems. The service on the plane was just adequate with the staff fairly efficient but not very outgoing or positive. I recently flew LOT and Lufthansa internationally in coach (economy plus) and they provided better meals, towels for washing, more and frequent drink runs and better snacks. Overall, just a mediocre flight -- not terrible, but not good."
Pros: "Once I was on the flight it was fine except for the food which was decent"
Cons: "On my outbound flight from IAD to BRU my flight was delayed 3.5 hours because the "plane was late to arrive". Seems like this happens a lot on United flights. The staff at the gate of Dulles airport were extremely rude and difficult to deal with, which made it frustrating to try and figure out my connection situation. I missed my connection from Brussels to Paris and had to buy a train ticket for which I was not reimbursed by United. Then, on the way back from Paris, my flight was delayed 2.5 hours for the same reason. At least this time I had a direct flight. This entire experience makes me think twice about flying United again. I live in DC and it would be just as (in)convenient for me to go to BWI instead of Dulles for international flights, where there seems to be more options outside of flying United."
Pros: "Good leg room. Good Movies. Good Service."
Cons: "This was not Lufthansa, this was United."
Pros: "Quick flight"
Pros: "Smooth flight until very last minute. Landing was rough, very abrupt descent."
Pros: "Sitting in economy plus is definitely the way to go for a trans Atlantic flight. The seats are very comfortable and give me, an average size person, enough leg room to sit for longer periods of time. The inflight videos are great and the staff was exceptionally courteous."
Cons: "United still falls behind on food offerings. Although the food is not unexceptional, it is not the best. Definitely pack snacks if you want to eat healthier and fix your hunger cravings."
